Stepping through the double doors that led into the office building, Ryuusei walked forward with a purpose. Dressed sharply in a black suit, the third year looked rather good. The first floor lobby was pretty standard given the multitude of companies that inhabited this place. Upon entering the desk guard glanced up at Ryuu before flashing small smile and then turning his eyes back down. Given that Ryuusei was already a regular here, the man had come to grow familiar with him. Ryuusei of course returned the man's smile as he passed by the guy's desk and walked straight towards the elevators in the back. Pressing the button to call one down, it didn't very long for one to get to him. Stepping inside, Ryuu moved like clockwork as he pressed the same button for the same floor he had always gone to. With a soft ding, Ryuusei was alerted as soon as he reached his destination.
It was the hero agency which he worked.
Given that it wasn't one of the bigger ones, this agency unfortunately could only rent out a single floor in the building. It however was still much more spacious than other offices considering the floor which it resided on was rather huge. Stepping out, Ryuu was again greeted with the sight of another security guard. This one was a bit more imposing due to actually being a certified hero, but like the one in the lobby, the man simply smiled at Ryuu before returning his eyes back towards whatever else he had been doing. Not wasting any time, Ryuusei made a beeline to the desk he'd been authorized to used and booted up his computer. Given how early in the morning it was and also that it was a Saturday, the office was sparsely populated. It was a fairly simple layout with a bunch of desks lined up in rows without any dividers around so as to foster an environment of openness. Of course that was just the central section of the floor and there were plenty of offices that ran along the outer most walls. Almost all of them were presently used for people who were much higher ranked and valued than Ryuusei was. But that was alright. Aside from the privacy and status they afforded those individuals, Ryuusei only cared about one thing. Access to the resources the agency had.
Fingers speeding along his keyboard, Ryuusei eyes hopped from window to window. From various news articles to sites that had privileged police information concerning those incidents, Ryuusei's sharp eyes were focused. Soaking in all the information as he continued to read up on the latest news updates in the country, Ryuusei let took a deep breath before sighing slightly to himself. Nothing looked promising. From the details of the incidents all the way to the police reports that provided a different perspective on the situation...none of it looked to have been his work. It'd been almost a year now and there was still nothing. There wasn't any way the man could have kicked the bucket...right? From what he read about THAT incident was that the man had indeed been injured. But...from the accounts of everyone involved it hadn't been life threatening. Or at least it shouldn't have been...
Sighing once more as he leaned slightly back in his seat, Ryuu's ears perked up as he heard the soft ding of the elevator. Glancing up from his terminal, Ryuu couldn't stop his hand up rising up and going towards his forehead. Fingers moving slowly as they began massaging his temples, Ryuusei honestly couldn't believe his luck. What the fuck was HE doing here this early?

"Thank you, Matsuun! I'll be going yeah! see you in the afternoon~!" Mikaku Dokumi said brightly, waving at his driver before the door closed automatically. He was humming a song as he walked towards the office building, sipping on a latte that was in his right hand, another cup in his left. It was a rather odd sight to see someone who looked like they had stepped out of an RPG game (or was the bassist of a OTT Visual kei band) walking casually down the road with some coffee, but he hated carrying spare sets of clothes around and so he had left his normal clothes in the car and just went to his agency in his hero costume, so he could change out when he finished work that day inside the car. He couldn't believe his bad luck- being called in on a Saturday of all days, when he should be catching up on sleep then doing on 3 or 4 dates! It really did suck, but he guessed it would look bad on his family if he just flunked work and he wouldn't hear the end of it from his father, so he turned up, nice and early (because his driver rang him 5 times to wake him up so he'd get here at a respectable time.) "Hey, good morning, Okamoto-san! Hang in there, 2 more hours till the end of your shift right! You can do it!" Mikaku said with an award winning grin as he entered the building and the woman at the front desk nodded, giving him a smile back. The woman never usually smiled at anyone. After cheerfully greeting everyone on his way to the lift, including the security man ("Hey Niijima-san!! Did your son get the free gift exclusive toy thing he wanted from our company? I did ask the guys in head office to send one over... oh he did? Great! No probs, no probs, hope he liked it!!") he pressed the button to the floor his agency was on. The lift opened with a chime and he stepped out, in high spirits because... why not! You might as well play everyday on full throttle mode or it's not fun! "Oha~yo~su, Kishimoto-san!! Oh your hair looks super on point today, I'm feeling it!" The silver haired teen said brightly, looking around the mainly empty office. Of course it would be empty. IT WAS SATURDAY!!! It's fine. he'd just get everything done ASAP and be done for today. "Ryuuuuuutannnnnnn~ My beloved~!" Mikaku could be heard coming from at least 30 meters away and he could already see the look on Ryuusei's face that said he was oh-so-happy to see him. the one guy who seemed to just really dislike him for some reason, Mikaku didn't know why but it made him want to bother the other even more. "Morning~!" He said brightly, putting the coffee he had in his left hand down next to the black haired boy. "Just as you like it, before you say otherwise!" How did Mikaku know? Heh...well... he sort of cheated.

Mhm....yup.
And here we go.
Unable to stop his eyes from rolling into the back of his head, Ryuusei surpessed every instinct and urge he had in his body to punch the man beside him. He'd watch him greet the guard in his usual fashion which was honestly all fine and good. Nothing in particular about the man's style or cheerful attitude really bothered Ryuusei. The only thing about the guy that really rubbed the young psychic the wrong way was the fact that the man ALWAYS felt compelled to associate with him. It didn't matter where. It didn't matter when. The man always seemed to worm his way beside Ryuusei and chat him up for some reason. Which again, was not a major sin. Had the man needed him for something or had something of import to tell him, sure fine.
BUT HE NEVER DID.
Every single goddamn time that Ryuusei saw the man, he just wouldn't shut the fuck up. He'd prattle on and on about some random bullshit that Ryuusei didn't give a single flying fuck about and as nice as Ryuusei had tried to be on brushing the man off every time their paths had crossed, the guy just couldn't seem to take a hint. It had been bad enough during Ryuusei's first and second year. But thankfully they hadn't worked at the same agency at that time when they'd been on their provisional periods. But as fate would have it, during their third, they had coincidentally chosen the same one. Ryuusei used the word coincidentally with a grain of salt however. Like with the Coffee that had been suspiciously planted in front of him, Ryuusei had never told the man the type of blend he'd liked. Yet randomly he kept showing up and delivering him a cup of joe....just the way he liked it of course. And like with the agency he chose, Mika had coincidentally picked the same one as well. Ryuusei never believed in coincidences and because of that, he never did buy the story that 'Fate had led them to wind up together'.
Eyeing the cup, Ryuusei's deadpan eyes went from the cup, up towards the guy, and then back towards the cup as he took a cautious sip from him. It didn't taste any different than usual but knowing Mika, Ryuusei was highly skeptical of anything the man 'offered' to give him. Still though, the guy had to be insane to drug his coffee while they were both in the office of a hero agency. And given that Ryuu hadn't seen any indicators that would have led him to think the man was more than minutely dangerous, he opted to accept the guy's offering.
"What are you doing here Dookie?" Ryuusei asked as he ignored the man's comment about how he liked his coffee.
"You never come in on weekends." Ryuusei added bluntly as he stopped his typing momentarily to glance at the man. He would have also said it was a contributing factor as to why he, himself had chosen to come in on Saturday, but he'd never let Mika know he was getting to him. Ryuusei wanted to avoid the man as much as possible without trying to give off an extremely negative vibe towards him. Even if Ryuu honestly hated the way the guy ALWAYS seemed to approach and hang around him, he couldn't discount the usefulness of his quirk. Which was why the man opted to at the very least try and tolerate the man. Yet if the guy kept hounding him the way he usually did, well.....Ryuusei wasn't sure he could keep being completely nice to him.

"Hey darling, you've started calling me nicknames now? Not sure on it, but well I appreciate the effort."
Mikaku said with a wink, putting an arm around the other teen's shoulder as if they were they were best friends- well, in Mikaku's opinion, he was the person Ryuusei seemed to talk to the most, so that meant they were best friends, pretty much, right? Love=Hate afterall! He laughed when he saw Ryuusei eyeing the drink as if he had poisoned it.
"It's totally safe~ Promise! Don't tell me you are still suspicious of me?? I'm hurt... How can I forget, Ryuutan likes around 5% of the drink brown sugar, high acidity roast, around 20%~ give or take, no milk, light roast! I'm so amazing, I'd make a great boyfriend, if I should say so myself."
The silver haired man laughed to himself as he glanced over the other's shoulder at what he was looking at. News sites? Man, if nothing, this guy was so dedicated to what he did. Mikaku would still be in bed right now if he hadn't been made to come in... And talking of which, Ryuusei seemed a little more prickly than his usual stiff, deadpan, prickly self.
"Soooo what's up? Wait, wait, are you still mad because I took Fu-chan out for a date? I swear, I wouldn't have done anything questionable! I only wanted to know what Ryuutan's little sister was like!"
He pushed himself off the other's shoulder now, to sit down on the empty office chair next to him. It wasn't his seat, but well it was fine it was Madoka-chan who usually sat here and she wouldn't mind at all.
"And I came all the way from my house to come and see how my darling was doing."
Before Ryuusei could kill him for the reply, he laughed, waving his hand.
"...and also I was told we had to work on some investigative work so, here I am on a Saturday morning. Apparently we got an email or something..."
Mikaku added with a sigh, his tone a little more serious, more fed up and disgruntled. He took off the hat part of his hero costume and put it on the desk infront of him, it was kinna getting in the way.

Did he want to die?
This was the question that lingered in Ryuusei's head as his cold dead eyes zeroed in on Mika.
He totally want to. Yeah. He definitely did. But Ryuusei couldn't put the poor man out of his misery. As much as the young psychic REALLY wanted to do it, he honestly couldn't. The man hadn't broken any laws and as far as he knew, Fu hadn't told him of anything too damning. Which was why instead of the usual indifferent orbs that would have been shot in the man's direction, he instead had a pair of dark dead eyes that wanted him dead. Yet there was no point in holding a grudge against the man. Even if he totally wanted to wipe this shits stain off of the face of the earth, Ryuu needed to be patient! Once he fucked up royally, that would be his opportunity to strike! And not a second sooner! Which was why Ryuu simply stomached all his grievances with the man and tried his best to ignore him. But honestly that was FUCKING HARD. Hearing the fuck talk about his sister was bad enough. Yet he wouldn't stop there. Apparently he wanted to push Ryuu's own buttons as well by calling him his 'darling'. Hearing those words fall out of the man's mouth just about broke Ryuusei. His typing had paused for a brief moment as he tried to steady his breathing but aside from that the moment only lasted for about two seconds. As satisfying as punching Mika might have been, assault wasn't legal.
"An email...?" Ryuusei responded passively as he tried his hardest to ignore the arm around him. His mouse cursor moved to the appropriate icon and double clicked it before the cursor changed to the loading symbol. Popping up a few seconds later, Ryuu's mailbox popped up on screen as a single unread email sat in by it's lonesome. Clicking it open, Ryuu's eyes ran over it's contents before they both perked up for a moment and then reverted to normal. "I see." The man voiced solemnly as he shrugged the man's arm off him and stood up. "They want us to go shopping for supplies for the office. It likely wouldn't take two individuals but given that we're both the lowest ranked i guess they wanted to seem fair."
How dumb.
Unfortunately that wasn't the worst of it though. Along with restocking supplies, the big boss apparently wanted them to do a once over at an apparent villain attack site. The site had been over an large area and given the limited man power of the police, he likely figured having sent a pair of 'provisionals' would have sufficed as 'doing his part'. It was a bit of a pain but it was more of a formality more than anything else. Something akin to doing one's time Ryuu supposed. Given that Mika likely already knew about the contents of the email, Ryuu didn't mention it to him as he simply began walking towards the elevator. "We've got a job to do. So either come if you want or go home."

"The life of the lowbies of society huh? We got it hard, don't we Ryuutan~" Mikaku sighed, leaning back on his chair as the other got up and was already starting to leave without him. "H-hey! Wait!! You can't leave your BFF and run off like that!!" He called after him, finishing his latte and tossing it in the bin, his eyes glowing magenta pink as he grabbed his hat and ran to catch up with the black haired teen. "So are we seriously going to this... villain attack site or whatever?" Mikaku asked as they exited the building. "Can't we like... skip work and chill or something? They will never know, like. clearly it doesn't even matter cos if it did, someone that...wasn't us would be doing it..." He asked, though he wasn't at all hopeful for a positive response if any. I mean, this guy was so serious about work he turned up in a suit, like come on. Saying that, he was never sure he had even seen Ryuusei's hero suit. He was in UA issue uniforms and stuff most of the time... Wow, he really needed to correct this issue soon and ask him to show him! While his work partner for today seemed to be looking up where they needed to go, Mikaku took a selfie to post on his Instagram, it was part of his publicity jobs, right? "Hey, hey, Ryuutan, take a selfie with me? Look this way!!" Nope. As expected, he was ignored. Oh well! He managed to get Ryuusei in the frame anyway, irritation clearly seen on his face. 'Work time with ☆JUSTICE☆!!! Guess he doesn't like being in photos LOL 'He wrote, before posting it on his hero instagram. Oh look, some insta likes! "Soooo where are we going? Some warehouse right??" Mikaku had kind of read the email. Kind of.

"Something like that..." Ryuusei replied tiredly as he led the way toward the elevator. Pressing the button, the doors instantly opened given that it had just been used to come up to their very floor.
"By the way, don't take pictures of the site. People can track that sort of thing you know." Ryuusei mentioned offhandedly as he waited for his compatriot to join him in the steel box of annoyance. Pressing the ground floor, Ryuusei was sure that he could hear Dooky blathering on another some random thing here or there but given his experience with the matter he had learned how to drown the boy out. Even as the elevator music played melodically in the background it was largely overshadowed by the boy beside him. Sighing as his eyes glanced at the guy beside him, Ryuusei couldn't help but think that this guy never shut up. Even now he was still having a conversation with only himself.
Hearing literally nothing but 'blah blah blah blah blah ryuutan this' and 'blah blah blah blah ryuutan that', it wasn't much of stretch to say that Ryuusei pretty much ignored practically everything that came out of the man's mouth. He would say nothing on the elevator ride down. He would say nothing as they went to the subway. He would say nothing on the train. And he would say nothing as he led to the pair to the construction site that was on the outskirts of town. Walking down the block as his eyes peered through the chain link fence that surrounded the site, Ryuusei's stride would come to sudden stop the moment they reached the entrance. The site seemed abandoned for the most part with construction having been stopped for one reason or another. Most everything looked fine but this was allegedly the scene of a crime.
"A man with feline-like features had apparently been attacked here the other night and had been stabbed through his knees with needle like objects. The suspect in the case was one that was making a name for himself around these parts. Well both him and his gang as the report mentioned that there were at least three of them but the victim thinks there might have been more in the vicinity. Cross referencing the information from the report about being attacked by a red masked demon kid it matches someone on file. Some upstart who goes by the name of Akuma." Ryuusei stated bluntly before walking onto the scene and scanning the area. "Like the email said, the place was given a once over but we're here to see if we can find anything."
"So have you heard anything about that Akuma guy and his gang?" Ryuusei asked his partner as his eyes continued to wander the area.

"But we are at work~~~ Like...everyone knows I work at our office! THE WHOLE OF JAPAN KNOWS! It's not really some top industry security protected secret is it?" Mikaku complained childishly at his coworker's strict warning. "Mannnn~ You're seriously no fun. Do you ever even have fun? Like, ever? Have you ever had fun in your life? No? I thought not! My condolences to your soul." He sighed dramatically as he put his phone back in his pocket as he trotted a few steps behind Ryuusei obediently. On the plus side, this thing had pockets. The trip to the warehouse was uneventful, to say the least. He did try and spark up a conversation a few times with the black haired hero-in-training, but it seemed he was being ignored. Oh well! If he didn't talk to this stick-up-the-ass justice idiot, who would? No one! Exactly! So he was being selfless and keeping the poor guy company! At least this was his reasoning behind it. "A cat boy, huh? That's pretty neat, I kinna wanna meet him!" Mikaku said brightly as his partner read out the crime details. At least inside his head, the victim had a cute black cat demi human quirk and he'd say "~nyan!" after every sentence. Yep. And a red collar with a large gold bell on it. Perfect. Okay, this was the head canon for the victim now, nothing could change it for Mikaku unless he met the guy in person and was proved wrong. "And WHAT? He got stabbed through the knees with needles? What, like large needles? Straight through?? Owwww..." The support student cringed, he had clearly not read most of the email or he would have know all this. "Poor kitty. If I was there I'd have totally helped lick it better!" He added, doing a small cat paw pose as his eyes scanned their surroundings. So what, this place was used by a Villain gang? it kinna looked like a cliche dodgy place, he wasn't gonna lie. "Akuma? I dunno, is he hot? He's a kid? How old? If he's over 15 then I'm game." Mikaku asked casually as he walked over to a corner of the warehouse, near the back, on the right. The place was littered with random bits of furniture and this was what looked like a long, metal table, a bit like those you find in an operating theater. It was weird, it looked much...cleaner than everything else here. Tilting his head in curiosity, Mikaku lent over and sniffed the metallic surface before he stuck his tongue out and gave the surface a long, deliberate lick. He sat up, making a slight humming sound as his eyes shifted to a magenta pink. "Hmmmmm..."

As Mika went on his tangent Ryuusei gave the guy about thirty seconds of his attention before he began instinctively tuning him out again. Hearing him go on about wanting to meet the guy, commenting about the attack, how he'd help 'nurse' the guy, and then ultimately admit to that he'd totally assaulting a young minor provided little to no help in their investigation. As to what little help you might think his senseless banter might have provided, it proved at least one thing. No one was here. The building which they presently took had been under construction. The upper floors hadn't been close to completion and what HAD been done on the building was trifling at best. It wouldn't be a stretch to call the place an empty shell. He doubted they'd find anything but work was work. He'd start looking at one corner of the place and would slowly examine anything that seemed of import. Naturally given that he wasn't well versed in investigating crime scenes his search wouldn't yield any results. ...Which was why Mika had been there.
He was supposed to be a specialist in figuring things out. Hell...even his creepy little quirk had been geared in ascertaining things one was better off not knowing. Which obviously meant that it was perfect for him. Still though, asking the guy to get serious was something he considered to be a last resort. It was something that he really shouldn't have needed to ask the guy, but as per the guy's reaction at his other question, he wondered why he should've expected anything more from the man. After about five more minutes of rummaging around, Ryuusei had to call it quits. He was sure he could spent all day tearing this place apart from top to bottom but he really doubted he'd find any information of real value. Perhaps he was overlooking something. Pulling out his phone, Ryuusei reopened the email as he scanned it's contents for any possible clues he might have missed that would have shed some light on the situation. After about a minute or two of reading he let out a small sigh as he closed the small device and placed the small electronic back in his pocket. "Dooky." Ryuusei began slowly as it literally killed him to have to utter these next few words. "The report mentioned that the victim was stabbed. Perhaps the encounter was more violent than the report indicated. Do you have anything on you that might help you find blood or something like that.""....."
"It'd be....really helpful if you did." Ryuusei forced out as he tacked that onto his request.
He really didn't want to add that little portion but knowing Mika it was....

Mikaku had stopped listening to Ryuusei a while ago as his brain worked to analyse what he had just tased. Sodium hypochlorite. And it wasn't the chlorine based stuff either. Also sodium hydroxide, hydrogen peroxide, and calcium hypochlorite. What normal people understood to be an oxygen based...bleach.Now if this was the middle of a hospital, he would understand. that was kinna normal. But...it wasn't. It was in the middle of some run down building on the outskirts of Tokyo which was also apparently a crime scene. Which meant to probably was something to do with criminal activities, and well, as a so called future hero, he should do something to help Mr.Justice out a little and do some work. "Hmmm.... Ryuutan, Ryuutan!" Mikaku turned to face the other teen, his eyes had shifted back to their normal colour now. "Has there been any other crimes reported here? Like I dunno, more serious ones or something." He asked as he looked thoughtful, looking around. The floor was some kind of concrete, still in its bare, unsanded form, a thin layer of dust and dirt covering it. "Like...decapitation...mutilation...multiple murders... organ harvesting...something like that."The fact he brought up these options without changing his cheerful expression was a little unsettling, but it wasn't really a secret that support students where slightly crazy! "Or I dunno, is this Akuma and his gang really bad news? What was the crimes they are down on file for?" Mikaku asked as he walked around, examining the other bits of furniture in the room. "And! And! What's upstairs~?" He added pointing up. He probably could have found this all out by reading the email, that he wasn't looking at in the slightest.

"Mostly petty stuff. Things on the level of a grab and dash." Ryuusei responded as he folded his arms across his chest. "They weren't really big enough to register on our radars until recently.""But the police has been building a sizable file on them. Of course, being that they were considered mostly a bunch of hooligans it would have been considered overkill to call us in. Naturally that changed officially with this attack. The incidents involving them have been getting more and more brazen lately or so the report states. Apparently they were even involved with a kidnapping....or something like that. The details on that are kind of sketchy so I'd take that last thing with a grain of salt. But as for the other minor incidents attributed to them I think the worst thing they are officially known for, aside from this, is random acts of vandalism.""Or so the email essentially said." Ryuu noted considering he read it's contents entirely. He didn't doubt that Mika had looked at it but seeing as the guy had the attention span of a goldfish, he wasn't surprised the guy hadn't been aware. Still though, it was far faster giving the guy a quick briefing rather than chastising him for not doing his due diligence. Mika just didn't operation that way. Or so Ryuusei had come to know. Which was why he just opted to make his life easier and summarized the documents that had been sent out to them. Naturally though, the case files were merely bare bones. The police never really liked working with heroes as they felt it undermined their authority so whatever information they shared was likely the kind that was easily obtainable. As for what was upstairs, the answer was unfortunately simple. "Nothing." Ryuusei replied as he walked towards a wall. Turning around he leaned up against it as he continued to stare in Mika's direction. "The police apparently made a sweep of it as it naturally could've been apart of the crime scene. Their efforts yielded nothing of interest however. Though if you're interested we can take a look"

"So uhhhh...then why does that table taste of oxy-bleach?" Mikaku pointed at the table he had licked a few moments prior, his lips pouting in question. "I MEAN...it's not everyday someone goes around doing crime scene clean up level cleaning on surfaces in here right? And I doubt it was police or else they would have taken that thing with them. Mind you, it probably was a while ago, like not anytime recently. Cos it was super faint. maybe like...3 months ago? Or so? I dunno." He was glad one of them read these emails, as Mikaku sure didn't! But that's why they made such a good team, because Ryuusei would do all the boring, stuffy fiddly stuff like that so he could just ask him everything as they went. "Oh and you were asking if I have something to test blood? I actually do, but seeing as it's such a biiiiiig place, I thought I'd try and pinpoint first before using the blood detecting chemical as it's not like I have an infinite amount haha~ Where did you want it done? Or...are you asking me to lick every part of this warehouse?!?" Mikaku gasped dramatically, bright violet eyes going wide as he fluttered his eyelashes deliberately. "Oh my, Ryuusei, this...isn't the kind of play I signed up for...I didn't know you were into that kind of thing..." He held up the act long enough to get the reaction he wanted- ah♡ that look of absolute disgust and as if he wanted to give up on everything and go home. Hey, he had to make his boring work day interesting some how!

"Bleach huh...?" Ryuu voiced as he turned his head towards Mika. "And it was from three months ago?"
"That's definitely rather odd..."
Why would this place be bleached? Even of the place was still in the middle of construction there shouldn't have been any of that here. Why in the world would a construction company apply bleach to the premises? Were they cleaning up after themselves? Eyes shifting as they scanned the room, the general disarray of scattered building materials said otherwise. Wood, stone, and metals were scattered haphazardly along the room indicating that they had honestly still been in the middle of setting everything up. Closing his eyes as he thought back to the report, Ryuusei tried his best to recall what the documents had said about the building. Apparently it was supposed to be the second office for some budding new start up. Their initial successes had propelled the company forward and in their haste to expand, the company procured this piece of property and had started with the construction of the shell by which they stood. Halfway through the process funding for the project fell through due to the company's inability to sustain it's initial success and the company soon went bankrupt after that. Supposedly the rights to the building was under care of someone else, but the cops had looked into them and they came up clean.
...Was there something he was missing? Or had the cops overlooked something? Then again being that they didn't have Mister Taste-tester over here working the scene it wasn't really all that surprising that they had missed it. Or maybe they were still processing the data they collected. In either case, the report had mentioned nothing of the bleach. Or had given the young psychic any reason to thing why such a thing would show up here. Was this related to the initial case of the red masked gang? Or was it linked to something else...? Pausing as he mulled over the possibilities, Ryuusei slowly shook his head. No...maybe it wasn't linked to the initial case. The man who had been assaulted said that he'd been left high and dry by his attackers. As to why they would come back to bleach the area just didn't make any sense. Unless they did so at an earlier date for a different reason...? Yet the report said the gang did mostly petty things and last Ryuusei checked, bleaching floors definitely sounded like it belonged in a tier higher than petty as it's general use WAS to clean things. Things like dirt! Or things like filth.
Or things like blood.
All these thoughts cycled through Ryuusei's mind in what felt like an eternity. Yet honestly it really only took him about a minute or so to run through the possibilities. They seemed endless but that was only because he lacked information. It was time to go get more. Brows perking up as Mika began run through his usual shtick, Ryuu face fell as he inadvertently felt his left eye start to twitch from the sheer asinine nature of his partner. Letting out a rather resigned sigh, Ryuusei pushed himself off the wall he leaned against as he began to walk towards the steps leading upstairs.
"Definitely not to the first thing." Ryuusei replied with a monotone voice while he walked as he'd long gotten used to Dookie's particularities. "And no it's fine to the second. I don't think such a detailed search like that will be necessary. Even if it yielded results I doubt that anything we could find would be of any real use to us."
"But perhaps we might find something on another floor like you suggested." Ryuu noted as he began to ascend the flight.
He honestly doubted the pair would find something on the upper floors leading them some sudden revelation, but then again, it never hurt to take look.

"Wellllll~ It's why I asked if super scary stuff had happened here or something!" Mikaku knew the most common use for oxidised bleach in particular was to clean up blood, as normal bleach wouldn't totally remove the proteins and thus for a complete clean up oxidized bleach was needed. But well, ultimately Mikaku didn't really care what happened, as long as he did the job enough to satisfy Mr. Justice here and his boss back at the agency, he was peachy! He wanted to wrap up so he could go out on a date! He had a few lined up today so the sooner he got all this done, the better really. "Well you know... if you are into that kinna thing... tell me sooner than later, okay? No surprises 6 months into our relationship!" The silver haired man grinned, patting the stressed looking man's shoulder as he walked past, though he was glad Ryuusei didn't ask him to check every nook and cranny of the place that would have taken a long, long time. "Yep, yep, let's go have a look! Have an adventure! Yayyy~!" The support jogged after the other teen, following him to the stairs and up. They reached the upper floor, and as Ryuusei said, it hardly had anything here. Hardly anything but a splatter of blood on the stone floor, and marks on the floor that... looked very recent. As if someone had been dragging a bloody something around on the floor. "Huh...Ryuutan... what's this?" He asked turning to his friend, not that the other wasn't already looking at the said situation.

Reaching the top of the flight, Ryuusei didn't really expect to find much. Being much more lax than he should have been, Ryuusei casually glanced around the room. Mika who had been more of an observant person than he was instantly noticed that something was off. Being that it was Dooky however, Ryuusei sort of doubted the validity of the man's claim. Nonchalantly wandering over, Ryuusei's eyes instantly lit up a bright blood red as his eyes landed the marks that his partner had pointed out. They weren't just fresh. They looked brand new. Even a dullard like Ryuusei could see that. It wasn't worn with time like everything else in this place was meaning that someone had been here. Or that someone was still here. Eyes slowly tracing the route of the marks, they looked like something heavy was dragged. And following it around....it led upstairs. Eyes darting around the room they still stood in, Ryuu made a quick examination of the floor. Even as his eyes searched the room twice over, he couldn't find it.
The marks looked to be only one way.
"Mika." Ryuu said as he shot the man a look of warning. "Stay sharp."
"There might actually be something here after all..."
Leading the charge, Ryuusei carefully approached the flight of stairs leading upwards. Quietly creeping up them, Ryuusei's ears began to put up something that sounded rather far away. Carefully coming up to the third floor, he surveyed his surroundings for a second before curiously glancing up. Once again spearheading the way, Ryuu began to climb flight after flight carefully. On each floor the two would reach the dull sound would grow louder and louder. Upon reaching the flight before the tenth floor however, the sounds were almost as clear as day. There was indeed someone here...and he was undoubtedly right above them. Quietly sneaking up the steps, Ryuu would slowly peek his head up from the stairs. What he would find however was beyond what he expected. There was a man. Or rather two. Yet one was not moving. Or rather he couldn't move...being that he was bound to a chair. Bloody and battered, the man who was restrained looked horrible. With his face completely swollen it would have been impossible to recognize him. Examining the scene with a look of near horror, Ryuusei didn't know what to say to what he saw. Frozen by the sight, the young psychic was shocked back into reality as the bound man was viciously punched by his captor. Blood splatted across the floor in response and a weak incomprehensive moan could be heard filling the room.
"......Dooky." Ryuusei whispered cautiously as he turned to look at his partner.
"We should call the bos-" Is what Ryuu began to say before he stopped. The moan had shifted from just a simple cry of pain into something else. Out from the beaten man's mouth came a stream of broken words that were both hard to hear and understand. Yet there was one which he said which instantly resonated in Ryuusei's mind. It was one he'd recognize anywhere. One which happened to be a name. The name of the villain who had crippled his parents.
"Dooky." Ryuusei uttered once more as a look of conviction began to flood his eyes. "Don't call the boss. We can handle this ourselves."
"And with that said, how do you think we should approach this?" Ryuusei asked the man as he took another quick peek over top of the stairs.
