Karaoke. What a lovely idea. Quaint. Bonding with one's classmates was important to help later in life build lasting relationships. Friendships, mostly. To connect one with others. Ryuga knew this was the case. There were a plentiful number of things on the list that she had made up a few nights prior. A go-kart trip, arcades, a simple city excursion. There was an idea. Seraphine-san and Himura-san were into music. One of their Quirks played off the idea of music. So, why not? Music was something everything could enjoy, and admittedly in Ryuga's study time, music helped with studying. At least, the more somber beats. The idea formed, and thus the event was planned thusly: "Hello everyone. If you like karaoke, I have planned an excursion to promote bonding. Please come if you are interested in the idea of singing or just wish for companionship!"A little too formal, but that was just how Ryuga was. She had a hard time loosening up, and often spoke with such professionalism. Why is it always raining when she gets involved with friends? What, is it something about her? Unlucky? It was a little annoying. Really, she should invest in an umbrella, or at least a jacket with a hood. As Ryuga would ride the subway to Akihabara, dressed in casual clothes for the spring season, she would reach the karaoke bar. Taking a picture of the sign so nobody would be lost, she sent it to the group chat, and proceeded inside to get out of the rain. Typical the sun poked out when she went inside too. Still, as Ryuga waited in one of the chairs near the front, she looked to her phone and waited before buying the room. A three hour big lougne area was customary for such excursions, right?

Ren loved the rain. The cool sensation of water drops against his skin, the gentle tug of the wind, the soft ambiance that filled his senses, the occasional rumble of thunder in the distance... It just always helped put his mind at eased. Also, it was fun. Ever since he was little, he couldn't quite resist playing in the rain with his quirk. As Ren walked down the streets of Akihabara, the hood of his jacket kept down in the drizzle, he held out one of his hands in front of him to collect the falling rain. Every time a drop hit his palm it immediately froze solid, slowly forming into a number of small spires as they began to accumulate. Eventually they'd get large enough that he could sculpt them into all sorts of shapes, but before that could happen Ren felt his phone go off. After discarding the ice, he swiped across the screen to find that Ryuga had sent them picture to help find their way. Well that was thoughtful.
This was a new experience for Ren, he'd never actually gotten invited out with people his age before, largely because he hadn't managed to make any friends at his old school. Karaoke wasn't something he'd tried before either, but it seemed like it could be fun, and getting to know his classmates more probably wasn't a bad idea. Even if he didn't end up singing at all himself, he'd brought along his bass guitar in a large black case that was strapped to his back, figuring that at the very least he could get a bit more practice in.
Drawing closer to his destination, Ren compared his position on the map and the picture Ryuga sent in order to pinpoint the building among the packed streets. Thankfully it didn't take too long to find the place, and the boy made his way inside just after the rainfall finally came to an end. It only took a moment to spot his classmate's rather distinctive hair as he came through the doorway and shook off the last of the rain. He quickly made his was over before unloading his guitar case on a nearby chair and turning to greet the girl. "Hey Ryuga-san, how's it going?" He gave a wave along with the casual greeting as he sat down beside his case and waited for everyone else to show up.

Akihabara.
Somewhere Raphael had never been to till today. With it's bright neon lights everywhere and large number of people milling around, it was quite different to what Raphael was used to. All the buildings were so tall and it was so built up! Tokyo sure was vast, even in one ward there was this many shops? This was probably the whole of Gunma just within this one district...
"Wow..."
Lilac eyes blinked as he took in all the sights after getting off the green line and exiting the exit he had hoped was the right one. He pulled out his phone, looking at the GPS with one hand while another held a clear umbrella to keep the rain off.
"Uuuhhh..."
Where was he exactly??? He was...probably lost. He looked round, there were tons of shops, mainly selling a mirraid of support items and things that can help around the house, different kinds of electronics and simple robotics. He looked at his phone screen again. The blonde tried to go the direction it stated, but there was a dead end there as there was a railway bridge blocking the apparent road he was meant to go down... Why did this always happen to him?
After a good half an hour of getting lost (thank god he had arrived 45mins early) he finally found the karaoke place. He almost cried in happiness when he managed to reach the room his classmate had stated, his shoulders dropping as he sighed in relief.
"U-um... Good mor- afternoon! Hoden-san, thank you for inviting me! And hello Wolff-san! I'm sorry, was I late? I got... a little lost..."
Raphael was dressed in soft, muted pastel shades of blue and white, a long sleeve t-shirt and cardigan under his pea coat.

Karaoke. What a interesting idea. She heard it was a high school thing to do. People or friends would get together and sing with each other. Her mother once told her about how she used to do it with her friend group and her father. They would get drunk and sing all night long. It was very romantic the more she thought of it. Her parents had known each other for several years before they started dating and got married. It was a funny thing to think about. Fu would have loved to see her parents as awkward teenagers. She'd imagine it would be as great as her mother was making it out to be. Today was her day though not to think of what her parents had done in the past but actually to do it herself. She remembered her mother telling her that "Do what I would have done back then, Fu-chan."She took that as karaoke being totally fine. Well this was going to be fun. Throwing on a simple pink shirt with cartoon seals on it, paired a blue skirt and seal themed leggings, Fu was on her way. She had tied her hair back the usual way but everything else was a lot more casual than usual. Walking down the street with her seal umbrella , she eventually found the karaoke place. Slipping into the place while closing her umbrella, she saw that some of her classmates had arrived. Giving them all a small bow, she said enthusiastically "Hello Hoden-chan, Ren-san, Seraphine-san! A-are you guys e-excited?"

Well...Jun was planning on going to Tokyo anyways. Might as well enjoy it some too. The blond wore his punk rock outfit, since it only fit with the theme. It would be nice to get to know his classmates a little bit more. He wasn't much of a singer, though he did have some favorites to sing and, most importantly, bust some moves. He was a better dancer than singer, though he'd been told he had a pretty decent voice for it, though his talent for singing was...slightly below par. He had brought a green umbrella along, just in case. But not long after getting off the train, the sun came out. He walked excitedly towards the location.
Upon entering the establishment and finding his classmates, he waved at them all. He just hoped Daiki wouldn't show up. That guy was waaaayyyy too loud. Putting his umbrella in the corner next to Fu's, or at least he assumed it was Fu's given that it was seal themed (where did she find such adorable seal themed stuff!), he plopped down as close to beside Ren as possible. He eyed the guitar case. Some live music, huh? That was going to be interesting.

Post by Ryuga Hoden on Jan 12, 2019 3:23:24 GMT
Time went by. Ryuga had merely been waiting quietly, eyes to her phone. It wasn't like she was doing anything all too important. Just waiting. A few people would see her hair, but that was the only thing about Ryuga that was odd. It was just blonde with some streaks. Were streaks uncommon? Ryuga moved a finger through her golden locks, twirling her finger to gather a stray strand or two, placing them gently behind her left ear. Maybe it was a little odd, but that's how she always wore her hair these days. That didn't take long. "Wolff-san." There was a nice, upbeat smile now on her lips, slightly glossy. Wait... Ryuga put on some make-up? Maybe that explained her complexion? That was probably it. Her eyes gazed at Ren, and took a second to answer him. "Ah, well. Aside from the rain, it's going well. And you, Wolff-san?" It was odd. Referring to the golden-haired boy, the first of whom to come anyways, as Wolff-san. Mostly because now the only thing she could think of was that the Ren reminded her of a golden retriever, and for some reason, seeing a golden retriever was both adorable, and at the same time, hilarious. What did a golden retriever, of all things, need with a guitar case? Let alone a guitar?! One hand moved to her mouth to hide a bit of laughter, but as she pulled it away, she instead revealed the briefest, yet warmest smile she could. At least she could bond with her class. Though she didn't like a prying eye finding her and Ren alone together. That would raise some rumors that Ryuga wasn't intending to fix. Made even worse by the arrival of Seraphine-san, though admittedly a little later than the appointed time. Honestly, Ryuga should have left an address. After all, she found this place thanks to her dad's job, which she figured had something to do with karaoke? Though he stated that the clients were all guys. Wonder what that was about? Karaoke bars and clients...? What kind of job did Aisuru even have? Now the public would think of her as either an older sister, or just having a harem of blonde guys. Only one of which was preferable to her. Immediately though, Raphael made Ryuga feel worse for thinking about her public appearance over making it here. Ryuga's face said it all. It was obviously her fault. With a sigh, she merely nodded. "Seraphine-san. I apologize. I should have linked the address. But not everyone is here, so you're just on time." No guilt. Honest admission to her own fault. Had she gotten the address, perhaps than he could have made it on time. It was best to place blame in herself first and take responsibility than to blame someone for a poor sense of direction. Next came in Himura-san, and Ryuga brightened up. Himura-san was dressed up like a seal! Ryuga's orange globes looked to every seal they could. Himura-san was adorable, that much Ryuga knew without having to say a word. So when Ryuga did speak, she seemed to give that same warm smile she gave often. "Absolutely, Himura-san. You're looking cute today."Okay. So maybe she didn't say anything to Raphael or Ren in the 'cute' or 'hot' department, but in fairness. They were, Ryuga just wouldn't openly state it. Far too busy with work to even consider that. Jun's entrance came next. Ryuga remembered his last name, if only because he thought up a shiba inu whenever he thought of Jun. Tomo shibi. It was close, and it made Ryuga smile more, almost giving a giggle, before correcting herself. Laughing at something like that would be rude. "Hello Tomoshibi-san." she had almost accidentally said Tomoshiba-san. Riveting how that was amusing to her. Truly, she was such a rebel for authority. As she got up, she would gesture to the room key in her hand. "We have three hours. My dad is owed a favor by the owner, so we got a medium-size room for the price of a small one." Ryuga smiled. The perks of having parents... Err... a parent... with connections. When the five classmates would reach the room, Ryuga would open the room with her key, and there they saw it. A lovely red couch that took up two-thirds of the walls, comfy enough to put even a fluffy bed to shame. A large screen television set, perhaps half the height of the teenager's tallest, and about three times that in width. Four brown pillows that were just as fluffy and soft to lay on, and of course, a coffee table in the center for all drinks. Stacked on top was a lovely, almost brand-new looking karaoke song book, all songs sorted by artists. A few corners were bent, and there was definite sign of use, but otherwise, it should have been brand new. Added to this, the karaoke machine, with a remote to input the number of song one wants from the book into the karaoke machine sitting comfortably by the TV, and the lighting, which gave off a very interesting red mood lighting. Huh. Nothing odd here. Three microphones sat at the ready. As such, with a part of this size. Which could hold anywhere from one to ten people. In fact, ten was probably pushing it. Ryuga would hold the door open for the remaining four, and then would take a seat soon after. She couldn't imagine going first, but as she sat near Futaba, she looked to the other four. "Please, enjoy. I can order us some juice later too." Ryuga smiled, and gestured for someone to take one of the microphones. This was going to be a blast.

"I've got nothing to complain about. I've never done something like this before, but it sounded like fun." Ren answered truthfully when Ryuga returned his question. Well, it was mostly true at least, he was a bit tired from work the previous night, but there wasn't much getting around that issue. He'd already come to accept that he'd be constantly balancing a job with the rest of his life, that was about the only way he was going to make it through school without any outside support. Thankfully, the light shower had helped push away most of his drowsiness and he assumed that the rest would vanish once they actually got started.
Ren couldn't help but cock an eyebrow when the girl started laughing a bit, wondering what exactly she'd found amusing. He only pondered it for a second though before smiling and giving a slight shrug. At least she seemed to be in a good mood. Despite their limited interactions, he was starting to think that, just like the other people he'd met at this school, comparing her to his old classmates upon first meeting was probably a bit unfair. None of them seemed to be anywhere near that cold. Of course, being so unused to actually hanging out with other kids his age, the connotations of a boy and girl sitting alone together were pretty well lost on him. Yet another side effect of being socially crippled for quite a good portion of his life.
Before long their other classmates started to stream into the karaoke bar one at a time. First up was Raphael. Even a few minutes late, the kid seemed to always show up before most of the others. Ren wondered if that had anything to do with constantly having to keep schedules, he was a bit famous after all, and his own family's rigid expectations had played a large part in why he himself ended up being habitually early. "'Afternoon Raphael-san." After hearing his last name being used for the third time, Ren sighed internally. Nope, he just couldn't get used to it. Even when he was using his real name it still felt off, like people weren't really addressing him as an individual. That was probably just yet another bad taste in his mouth from all of the 'high class' functions he'd had to attend for his family over the years. Those people definitely hadn't been talking to him as a person. "Please, Ren's fine." He waved his hand as he spoke with a lighthearted tone, doing his best to not come off as rude.
Next came Futaba, followed shortly after by Jun. Ren was starting to think that, out of all of his classmates, the timid girl would actually be the easiest to pick out of a crowd, given the consistency of her rather adorable clothing choices. Speaking of which, it seemed that Jun had gotten dressed up for the occasion, was that a normal thing to do? He didn't exactly have the experience to know one way or the other. Ren still had a bit of trouble getting a read on Jun, but he didn't seem like a bad person. He greeted each in turn with a smile and a wave before Ryuga decided that it was finally time to head back into the room they had rented out.
Giving a slight bow to his classmate as she held open the door, Ren paused for a brief moment before actually entering. The room in question almost seemed more like a luxury lounge than anything else. Was this really how these places usually were? The quality of the furniture reminded him of some of the Yamaki family's more upscale houses, something that he had learned was far outside the norm once he'd struck out on his own. Again, he really didn't have any evidence that this was out of the ordinary, so he just kinda shrugged and went on in, taking a seat near the end of the comfy couch before retrieving his bass from its case and starting to make sure the strings were in tune.

Well, that was nice to have some connections. Ren was the first to enter after Ryuga-san and tested his strings on his guitar. That was really cool and all...but lets get the real thing started. Jun went straight for a microphone, twirling it slightly and stopping it right by his face, just enough distance to be sanitary. "I think I'll get this started. Sand Planet please. Fair warning, I'm not the greatest of singers, but I can certainly dance!"
(dance and song below)
And dance and sing he did. While he was on tune for most of the song, there were sections that he was a little on the high or low end. But the execution itself was flawless aside from that. He looked at Raphael-san. "I get the feeling that I'll lose in a singing contest, especially with you, Raphael-san. Care to show me how it's done? Or will the ladies take it from here? Or will the cook that's apparently a musician as well show me what's up!" He gave a goofy and teasing grin at everyone and challenged them. This was going to be really fun. Though he did worry that his outfit reveals a little bit of his scar, he doubted they would mention anything. Still, it was time to have some fun and party it up a little bit. He just hoped Fu wasn't going to be too shy.
He looked around at each person ready to pass the microphone to them. And upon doing so to the next person, he would sit down next to Ren, but with enough room for him to tune and move his guitar.

"O-oh no, I'm just really...bad with directions so it was probably my fault, I'm sorry!!" Raphael shook his head frantically, it wasn't his intention to blame someone else for his lateness, probably even with the address supplied he would have gotten lost. No, not probably, it was for sure that would have happened. He took off his coat and hung it up on the wall, turning his head as Futaba came in. "Ah, good afternoon, Himura-san!" He greeted the girl with a smile. He walked over to sit down in the nearest space, which happened to be next to Ren. "O-oh, okay, um... Ren-san...then..." Raphael corrected himself, he wasn't sure he was so close to the other that he could go first name terms with, but well if he insisted... Around that moment, the door opened and Jun came in. Oh wow, he was dressed like an idol...! Costume fittings aside, raphael felt like he would never have enough confidence to wear clothes like that in public. One would question how he was ever to wear his hero costumes or his stage costumes when he debuted later this month, but well that was problems to tackle when he got to them. This...feels like we are all friends...Raphael couldn't help but feel a little strangely happy at the scene around him, it was a mundane, normal thing maybe for most high schoolers but to him it felt like something out of a drama; things that happened to other people but not him. Not that it was because he was hated by anyone in his elementary or middle school, but he always went straight home after school when his mother had been alive, and when he became alone... it was just habit, come straight home after school, no stopping anywhere, no going to the game center, or karaoke, or cafe. But now it was a little, no quite different from what he was used to. And it didn't feel bad at all. He had the karaoke remote dropped on his lap at some point and was now browsing mindlessly through the touchpad when Jun's voice requested a song...wasn't it? The blonde typed in the song title and something came up, so he hoped it was the correct one. It seemed to be the one the other boy was after as he started to dance to it... Oh, he didn't know one was meant to dance as well as sing when people went karaoke, but then he guessed he only ever went to these places to practise singing before he was signed to a talent agency so he assumed this was the norm. He tried to think of songs he knew the dance to... his debut song was coming up but of course it wasn't released yet, nor was he anywhere near famous enough for the song to be on a karaoke system so... As he tried to think of what he could sing, he watched the other boy do some impressive choreography work. Raphael had been receiving dance lessons recently but to be honest it was pretty hard to remember everything in the correct order, he had only just about managed it after a few weeks. Once the song finished, he clapped. “Wow...Tomoshibi-san, do you take dance lessons?” He asked, tilting his head in question. He realised the mic was being pointed at him and glanced around, no one else seemed to be stepping up so he decided to put in the one song he had practised which was a cover in preparation for his first official live performance later on that month. “Um...I’ve not really danced and sung in public before but I will try my best…” He said as he typed in the song name on the pad, taking the mic as he gently put down the pad on the table so someone else could look at it. He stood up, standing in the spot Jun had been and taking a deep breath as the opening notes of the song came on, and his body moved, as if by reflex. He had practised to the point it was muscle memory mainly now. Full beats, 8 count… 5 sets for intro…
1,2, 1,2,3,4 Doki doki doki doki love magic! I wanna try and cast the spell If only I could do as I want!Seeing as this wasn’t a song he was using his quirk on, or needed to, he didn’t need to understand the lyrics, so a love song was fine, right? Is this fate? This isn’t what I imagined... But I want to be, A hero just for you! How many hundred? Thousand? Million times have I fallen for you in my dreams? I’m always alone… but I want to see you!He realised it was actually pretty hard to dance and sing when one had a mic in their hand, he was used to a headset so this was again a little different. He probably should practise both incase he needed to sing with a mic.. As he held the finishing post at the end, he wondered how it was. Did he even do this right? If he had known karaokes were a performance he would have practised more dances… “Um...who should I give this to next?” Raphael asked, holding the mic rather awkwardly.

Fu hummed along as people started to sing. It was honestly very cute. Most of them were half decent singers, which made it a little easier to bare. Fu guessed that this was not about showing off your singing skills. It was to have fun and laugh with friends. Are her classmates her friends? Ryuga-san definitely was her friend, maybe even her best friend at the school. She got along with the others, even Daiki. She had gotten used to his antics and she appreciated the general positive energy of her classmates. Getting up for a quick moment, Fu head out of the room to the ordering area. Wandering around for a bit, she finally found a little counter with a girl barely older than her. Giving her a small bow, Fu scanned the menu quickly. "M-may I have some traditional green tea?" Fu muttered, looking slightly passed the girl. The girl, a bit confused, nodded before heading to a small window. A few minutes later and a exchange of currency later, Fu had acquired her tea. Thanking the girl, she returned to the room that Ryuga had organized for the group. Coming in just as Raphael finished his song, Fu wondered who was going to perform next. After a few moments, no one seemingly was stepping up. Drinking a bit from the large cup of tea, she set it down near where she was sitting. Might as well give it a try, right? I just don't sing much regular music. I'll work something out.Walking up to Raphael, Fu gently asked for the microphone. After she received it, Fu started typing the song name into the little search box. Fu lightly tapped the title, pressing the play button. After a short delay, the music started. Fu started swaying with the gentle beat, grooving a bit with the relaxing sound of keyboards. The drums and guitar carried the song forward. Then she started singing with a pretty decent voice (When you have no friends, you can improve on your singing.) I'd sit alone and watch your light My only friend through teenage nights And everything I had to know I heard it on my radio RadioIt was a different song compared to her usual music tastes but she did love Queen. Hours of watching the Live Aid concert, Fu subconsciously started copying the moves of Freddy Mercury. You gave them all those old time stars Through wars of worlds -- invaded by Mars You made 'em laugh -- you made 'em cry You made us feel like we could fly
So don't become some background noise A backdrop for the girls and boys Who just don't know or just don't care! And just complain when you're not there! You had your time, you had the power! You've yet to have your finest hour! Radio....As the chorus cued in, Fu did a small flourish with her hand not holding the microphone. All we hear is Radio ga ga Radio goo goo Radio ga ga All we hear is Radio ga ga Radio blah blah Radio what's new? Radio, someone still loves youuuuu!Fu clapped along every time the song warranted it. Fu continued the song, eventually getting to the final part of the song. Radio, someone still loves youuuuuuuuuuu! Loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu....And with a finishing little hop, Fu finished. Feeling a bit warm for all the moving and dancing she did, Fu gave everyone an embarrassed smile before quickly heading to her seat. Well, that wasn't terrible!

Huh. Seraphine-san, what kind of dog would he be...? Tomoshibi-san and Wolff-san were a shiba inu and golden retriever respectively. What kind of wholesome pupper would Seraphine-san be... she had to think about it. The blondes of the class. Was Raphael a poodle? No, his personality was far more friendly and not at all conceited. Maybe... a beagle? A golden retriever with a bass guitar. A shiba inu who knew how to dance and sing. And a beagle who could also sing. The idea kept her smiling. She could hardly hold it in. They were all like blonde puppies! The only person they were missing was Daiki, who she had messaged the room for, and ROTTWEILER! ... Ryuga had to hold her laughter as they sat themselves down, and Tomoshiba-san- er.... Tomoshibi-san began his song. He had been the first to grab the mic, and as Ryuga crossed her legs while Seraphine-san set up the song, Jun quickly set the bar exceedingly high. Singing AND dancing? The overachiever in Ryuga was immediately impressed. How could she not be? This was a karaoke bar, yet with all this open space, he utilized it with amazing efficiency. Ryuga bobbed her head to the beat, still in awe. The challenging aspect in Jun made Ryuga about to take the mic, but she was too slow. Phooey! Seraphine-san was next. Modest as always, and it was understandable why too. His dance was cute, but it was clear his singing voice was where he exceeded. He did everything fine, as did Jun. And Ryuga realized that the bar was still being set. Two big contenders. Though the lyrics of it... was this a love song?! To whom? Ryuga found it adorable! Seraphine-san had to have a crush on someone here! Was it Himura-san? What was she saying, it HAD to be her. Her or maybe... Tomoshibi-san? Ryuga wasn't sure. But now the implication made her think about it. Why else to pick a love song? But yet again, too slow. But this time, Ryuga was exceedingly proud. As soon as Himura-san took the microphone, Ryuga began to cheer. "Go Himura-san!" she was very much into it already. Himura-san wasn't being shy! She actually was going to perform! This was legendary, at least to Ryuga, as up until that point, she had been so shy. And regardless of the bar being set high, the mere fact that Himura-san went up and began to sing made Ryuga's heart melt. The song was different immediately, something that Ryuga hadn't expected. Himura-san did love music, and this was such a unique choice. Ryuga had to admit, she liked it. Ryuga would clap when Himura-san would clap, to motivate her to keep it up. She was so proud. How wholesome. Futaba often was. So. When the mic was finally in her grasp, Ryuga asked for it, and got up not on the dance floor, but instead decided to take the bar higher. Hands on her hips, she felt the fire in her chest. The Discharge Dragon of 1-A was going to set the bar higher. Thankfully, she was thin enough, and the tables were kind of made for this. There was confidence on her face, as she undid her hair ties, and let her multi-colored blonde green and orange hair splay out. "Our Moment, please."The song began, and Ryuga began to dance. Her footwork was B+ at best, definitely above average. It seemed that her days training as a boxer had, in some degree, helped her to learn how to move her body, and in the first few seconds, as her body moved side to side, it was clear from the dancing portion, she wouldn't hit where Jun was. "How long has it been? Hope I'm not dreaming, Looking good too aren't you, it's time to unwind. Eager to catch your smile, ain't shown it in a while. So set free the mind!"It was a nice little upbeat song, and while Ryuga was not trained for singing, it was clear by how she did that it was merely a lack of practice and a not a lack of talent. She could, but it would just require to sing. "It's party night! No need to hold back anymore. Only night. What are you waiting for? Vivid night. Let it all go and rock the floor! Come a little closer, lend your hand!"It was going well. Until the rap portion. Because what came soon after the second half of the chorus made Ryuga work for it. It was VERY clear she wasn't a rapper, and damn was she bad at it if she tried. But, she still attempted to have fun with it all the same. She began laughing midway through it. "Wherever you are, we'll meet again"By time it was over, as she bounced on the table, and got down, she fell onto the couch, and laid her head onto a back pillow. Embarrassed, since she obviously did the worse. But she didn't need to do the best. All she needed to do was have fun. That's all that mattered. "Wolff-san. Your turn." A devious smile came to Ryuga's lips.

While everyone else finished filing into the room, Ren cradled his bass on his lap and worked his way down each string, checking the pitch to make sure it was tuned correctly. It was a simple exercise and a quick one, one that he'd done many times before. By the time Jun decided to get things started, he was basically ready to go. That being said, he was perfectly fine sitting back while the rest of his classmates enjoyed themselves, he'd just go after everyone else.
Jun started things off with a bang, not only singing but dancing as well. Was that also a normal thing to do here? He supposed there was enough space for it, so maybe it was. Either way, the boy had some moves. He was pretty good and the outfit made it look like the most natural thing in the world. Ren himself had never really tried to learn to dance, so he didn't know exactly how hard it was, but it was impressive to him at least.
When Raphael took up the mic he didn't exactly seem confident, but it was almost immediately apparent that the kid was a professional once he started to sing. Given who he was, Ren wasn't particularly shocked by this revelation, Raphael was practically born into it because of who his parents were. That bit of forced expectation was something that the two of them had in common, though Ren had to wonder how on earth his classmate could stand it after this long.
While Ren chewed on that thought, the microphone passed to Futaba. The boy's ears quickly perked up at the sound of a song that was a bit more in line with his own tastes. A lot of the local stuff was fine, but he'd inherited his mother's preference for old western music, much to the rest of his family's disappointment. He smiled as the timid girl channeled her inner Freddy and couldn't help but hum and clap along to the song. As Futaba brought it home, Ren shot her a thumbs up to let her know she did a good job.
Apparently seeing everyone else give it their all had gotten Ryuga fired up, because the girl was practically bursting with energy. The octane certainly carried her through the opening, as it started out pretty good, and even if she stumbled through the rap, it was clear to Ren that she was still having a good time. That was the whole point of this after all, right? Even he couldn't remember the last time he smiled this much.
When the girl finished, Ren found the microphone finally being passed to him. With a shrug, he took a brief moment to scan through the catalog, wondering if they had anything that he knew how to play. After turning a few pages, he smirked. That would do fine. He quickly plugged his bass into a pocket amp he brought along(they really were pretty small these days) and then got to his feet before realizing that there was a problem. A glance around the room revealed that there was no mic stand he could use, which was going to make playing and singing at the same time a bit... difficult. Oh well, might as well just make one, right? He clapped his hands together and channeled a bit of ice to his palms, slowly pulling it out into a shaft and then mentally sculpting it into the desired shape.
A second later, he planted the ice stand onto the ground with a bit of a flair and snapped the mic in place. Showtime.
Ren's fingers danced along the neck of his guitar as he plucked away through the opening, quickly letting his muscle memory take over as the first verse began.
"When you wish upon a star Your dreams will take you very far But when you wish upon a dream Life ain't always what it seems What'd you see on a night so clear In the sky so very dear"
Ren did tend to sing along pretty often while he practiced, so it wasn't anything new, though he definitely wasn't used to having people watch. The fact that he knew how to play an instrument made gave him an ear for staying in pitch though, so while obviously he wasn't a pro, it was fairly decent. With the chorus starting, he felt himself slip into the groove, head bobbing and body swaying along with the beat.
"You're a shining star No matter who you are Shining bright to see What you could truly be what you could truly be"
Working his way through the rest of the song, Ren found his hands stumbling a handful of times, maybe an effect of actually having an audience for once. Luckily, it's pretty easy to mask mistakes while playing if you don't let it hang you up, you just adjust a bit to make it sound like improvisation instead.
"Shinning star for you to see What your life can truly be Shinning star for you to see What your life can truly be"
As bass-line stopped and the song came to an end, Ren gave a bit of a flourish with the mic stand and bowed before letting himself fall back into his place on the couch. Regardless of how good he actually did, he had to admit that the whole experience was even more fun than he thought it would be.

If I Had You - Adam Lambert; Daiki's thumb tapped the song. Sitting in his dorm, he'd kick his feet against his desk to push out. Wheeled chair rolling into the middle of the room, he let out a sigh when the music kicked in. It was nice when one just had alone time to think to themselves. Regardless, he didn't kick away just to roll around the room and roleplay a rumba, no. He'd gotten a group notification in the student chat regarding an open invitation to Karaoke tonight. It was something if he was to be friends with people, he'd want to do. Sure he could build friendships other ways, and you don't have to be social to do so, but it really does help to participate in stuff like this. He stood up, about to grab his bag and head out of the door- but wait, no! Absolutely not! He heroically covered his manhood and prevented himself from accidentally leaving the room naked! Right, clothes! Opening some drawers, he considered his options. He was going to be singing right? Something while he didn't do all of the time, he did occasionally just because he wanted to sing along to the music he listened too. As for being nervous about singing in front of people? Not at all, he was good with stage-fright. He got out a yellow t-shirt to match his hair, and went with... He didn't want to look like a bumblebee, so black pants was out of the option... Hm. He decided to go with something really stylish and out there, party clothes. He went for some nice lavender slacks- oh, and can't forget the #1 Hero Merch underwear he had underneath! Absolutely not! Oh and the #2 Hero Merch socks he'd be wearing too. He likes pro heroes, what's there to say. Sliding on his sand- wait, sandals? Sandals. He looked at his socks, and then the sandals... Sacrifice the socks or sandals, that's the question... So- Sandals, sandals. He chucked them back into the closet haphazardly and grabbed a pair of everyday nice sneakers. It went decently well with his outfit, but it wasn't the biggest deal in having an outfit mesh together well seeing as it was far from the focal point. Sliding a light jacket on, he headed off while replying. " I'll be there soon!" It wasn't his fault those in need always crossed his path, and he would never let a elderly woman painfully haul groceries home. No no no! If he couldn't be doing legit hero work he'd do... Quality of Life work! Approaching the lady who was slowly heading back to her home with two heavy bags of groceries, he'd speak up towards her. " O-sama! Let me carry your groceries home for you, how far do you live from here?" He would ask, before he delved into the long and definitely temporary absence causing process of helping someone in not-so-need but could use-so-need. About an hour later and five minutes after everyone was supposed to meet up, he had walked home with the lady and made a new friend, learning about her grandchildren and daughter. He liked hearing about peoples families, especially the most ordinary of families. Just ordinary people living ordinary lives. Though now it was time to speed things up. He started to dash to- Right, no public quirk... Use... With a dim trail and a flash of his bio-luminescence coming to a sudden halt, he pulled up his phone to do two things. " Hey guys, running a bit late. Had to help a lady with her groceries." He said, before also hailing a taxi to drive him there. Finally he'd arrive, and hurriedly jog towards the establishment. Once he got in, he'd greet the staff and state he was with the people that went into the 3 hour reserved room. Then a moment later, he'd opened up the door and poked his head in. Familiar faces; just about everyone actually, good. Well, Ryuga was a new face,- she was kind of cute. Oooooooo... Wai- suddenly Ren started to sing, and he nearly flopped on the floor due to the sudden noise. He hadn't acclimated to the environment they were probably immersed in right now. Regardless, the noise made him slipping in and shutting the door behind him almost noiseless. He waved towards everyone, not wanting to speak and disturb Ren from his song, just listening for the moment. Greetings and whatnot can come after!

Jun looked at Raph sheepishly. "Ah, no. I've always been a bit more nimble than normal. Always just liked to move once in a while. If I could figure out how to sneak out of UA after curfew, I probably would have to go clubbing. But...yeah...no luck on that..." Then Raph went with a cute dance and a pop song. Like he suspected, Raph's voice blew Jun's out of the water. Followed swiftly by Fu-chan with a western song. Everyone seemed to have followed his lead with a dance and song. Then again, he did start the bar off pretty high. Still, it made things more fun and interesting in his opinion. It was different, but certainly enjoyed Fu's more than Raph's. Then came Ryuga with a game song. She moved well.
Then came their musician. Ren made a stand of ice and used his guitar. The blond went with a western song as well. Combined with musical talent and a good voice, Jun can't help but do little dance moves in his seat, barely noticing that their resident loudmouth had slipped in. Once the man was done, Jun made a request. "Sorry to ask this, but can you make an ice cane? I think my next one will look better and feel more natural than the mic stand. Then a duet? And make Daiki do a double feature?" He grinned mischievously at the largest person there. Once a cane was made, he had already selected and started the song, and just waited for the music to start.
After he was done, it seemed it was Raph's and Ryuga's turn. This should be interesting...

"C-clubbing?"
It was an absolute foreign term for Raphael. What was that even? He guessed he would look it up when he got back to his room.
Raphael looked through the book, wondering what he should sing next. He saw the high pitch and low pitch test songs, but he guessed it wouldn't be any fun him doing them as there was no challenge in him attempting the challenge as his quirk meant he could hit every single humanly possible note (and more) and he felt like it was cheating as it was not really a feat for him to be able to do it. He flicked through a few more pages before he saw duet options. That could be... a possibility? He had seen on high school dramas on TV, when friends went to karaoke places like this, they sang duets and things like that...so it was the norm, wasn't it? It wouldn't be too forward or weird to suggest it...would it? He hesitated for a few moments, trying to decide if it was appropriate or not when Jun seemed to have decided the genre of song he was meant to sing for him. "Um... I'm thinking of singing 'Sunday's Secret'...and um... as it's a duet..does anyone know it...? If you do um... please join in? I can sing both parts so um...I suppose I'll sing whatever you don't.." That...sounded awkward. Just hearing it himself made him want to hide. Raphael cringed inside but well...it was done now. And if no one joined he would just sing both parts himself, which was a sort of party trick in itself... But he was surprised to see one of the girls, Ryuga picked up the other mic. Lilac orbs blinked in surprise, almost missing the start as the count in beats started as he was distracted. 1,2,1,2, 3,4
In my dreams, it's natural, Even saying hello is easy
In reality, it's awkward, Our love story
Hai
Ah, yes...so this was a (another) love song, then again alot of duets were. Raphael hoped that his classmate wouldn't think he was really strange for picking this, it was the first thing he knew the melody of...
Can I sit next to you? Courage on the morning train
"Sure", I reply But after that it's silent, I have no spine
I have to say something! If I don't hurry, we'll get to our destination...
I have to man up! "Can I have your number?"
It was a bit sudden, so I laughed, "I was thinking the same!" I reply
I felt a little happy at that, I say "thanks" today as well
I want to know you better, Because we are friends, Is it okay if I call you?
I was worrying, a bit too much, And now I missed my chance... Ahhh...
Raphael glanced over to the singing girl, his eyes went up to the space around her. Ok, good, she wasn't showing any signs of distress or anything negative. He felt relieved, he didn't want to make the other girl uncomfortable or anything like that. He actually liked her voice, it was nice, he had thought so last time she sang also.
Your favourite sweets, your favourite colour, Tell me? The kind of person you like, too.
I want to get close to your ideal person, This love doesn't line up properly,
What will happen...?
