Sora stands at just under 6 feet tall, with long red hair that stretches to the middle of his back and dark green eyes. His features are notably soft and his appearance androgynous enough that he is just as often identified as a man as he is a woman, though both are, biologically at least, incorrect. Despite his height, Sora's frame is still fairly small, possessing only a small amount of visible muscle beneath his soft skin, a fact that often conceals just how physically fit he is. Both of his arms are covered in scars below the elbow, formed by lacerations from his quirk's feedback
When it comes to physical appearances, there was once a point when Sora always kept himself prim and proper, however ever since he left the hero association he has become almost completely unrecognizable. In addition to his physical traits gradually mixing with Izumi's and becoming far less masculine, his personal grooming standards have also changed quite a bit. He often has a certainly disheveled look to him, messy bangs hanging down around his eyes while the rest is tied back in a loose ponytail. The clothes he wears tend to be rather simple affairs, maybe a bit wrinkled but not anything that really stands out. These days Sora doesn't really have much in the way of a hero costume either. When on the job, he tends to wear a sleeveless vest with a bandoleer and military style pants beneath a hooded cloak, since these don't get in the way and don't get torn up as much when he uses his quirk.

LIKES Crafting/Inventing Drinking Fighting | DISLIKES Silence Being told what to do Insects |
RUMOR/SECRET: | I heard he used to be a hero. I heard she's taking on an entire villain organization by herself. I heard he once leveled a building to rescue a cat from a tree. I hear he can get you any weapon you're looking for. |
Reliable, Fearless, Logical, Kindhearted. These are words the could once have been used to describe Sora Hashida, but no more. When his partner died, Sora and Izumi were still mentally linked, meaning that part of his mind was in her body, while part of hers was in his. The simplest explanation is both of their personas shattered and mixed together, resulting in something new and... more than a bit unhinged. Sora has become an incredibly crass, erratic, and eccentric individual with a penchant for attracting trouble, with Izumi's more fiery personality overriding the calm and logical person he used to be.
Given his mental state, it is incredibly hard to determine what Sora might do at any given moment, but beneath the crazy there is still an incredibly driven person. His primary goal when leaving the hero association was to track down the remnants of the organization that killed his partner and bring them to justice, and while lapses in memory, shifting personas, and bouts of PTSD often keep him distracted, the brief moments of clarity he experiences tend to be full of purpose. As long as his goal exists, some unconscious part of him will always be working toward it, no matter what he has to do to get there. That being said, somewhere deep down he still recognizes himself as a hero, even if he doesn't act like it most of the time. When he sees a situation where someone needs help or is otherwise in trouble he still gets that pull to try to do his duty, its just that the solutions involved tend to be far less inhibited and more 'creative' than one would expect of a professional hero.

The story Sora Hashida begins in much the same way as the many that came before him. Growing up in the Umeda district of Osaka, Sora had a fairly average upbringing. His mother helped run a humble bakery, and his father was a police officer in the city, so while their situation wasn't particularly extravagant, it was pretty comfortable.
From a young age, Sora was captivated with the idea of heroes, a spark that was first lit when he witnessed a hero stop a would-be mugger while helping his mother with errands in Namba. The encounter would set the five year old's imagination ablaze, and practically set in stone his path toward becoming a professional hero. From that point on he dedicated himself wholeheartedly to this pursuit, much to the chagrin of his father, who had hoped that the child might follow in his footsteps. Still his parents were supportive and made sure that he understood what was in store, causing him to throw himself into his studies and sharpen his mind in hopes of gaining any sort of edge he could.
The quirk that he ended up developing was an interesting one to say the least. He could change his shape to match various objects he encountered, but by himself the power had little use. As a result, when he got through school and the time came to take the entrance exam for the prestigious UA High, the fact that Sora was surrounded by strangers prevented his abilities being used to the fullest. He was declined entry from the top school of heroes and received a hefty blow to his pride, but Sora wouldn't give up on his dreams so easily. He learned from his mistakes and took the lessons to heart, allowing him to scrape by on his ingenuity when attending the entrance exams for his second choice of Shiketsu.
Upon entering into the hero school, Sora understood full well that he'd only just barely made the bar and proceeded to devote himself to improving. He dove head first into training and studying, becoming well versed in tactics and various fighting styles to make up for his short-comings, all the while developing his quirk so that he might become more self sufficient. It was during this time that Sora became acquainted with Izumi Takaeda, a classmate with a barrier projection quirk and short fuse that fed a rather potent competitive streak. The two came to know each other after a training session got particularly heated and both ended up in the infirmary. Despite a mutual disdain at first, the pair would repeatedly be partnered up on assignments and eventually gain a mutual respect that would become a strong friendship.
Over the years Sora and Izumi would continue to push each other forward, eventually rising up to graduate among the top 5 of their class. After leaving Shiketsu, they continued to stick together, both joining the same hero agency in Okasa where their teamwork brought them more than a little success and fame. Having made quite the name for themselves within the city, it seemed that the two of them had a bright career to look forward to. That's how it looked at least, but having so much success in such a short period of time can often draw ire from those who are less fortunate.
One day while responding a reported robbery, Sora and Izumi found themselves in an ambush orchestrated by a gang that they'd been clashing with recently. Tired of constantly having their operations torn apart, they'd decided to deal with their problem in the most direct way they could think of, buying a bit of extra muscle from local villain organizations to help get the job done. Taken by surprise and overwhelmed by numbers, the heroes didn't have much of a chance. The plan was to drag them away to a hideout and teach them a lesson, but as defiant as ever, Izumi managed to piss one of them off enough to take more drastic action. The only thing Sora could remember was the sound of a gunshot and the inside of his head exploding as the feedback came through the still-active link of his quirk.
It was almost a full two weeks before the hideout was raided by local police and Sora was recovered. Tortured to the very edge of death's door and mentally broken, he proceeded to spend the next few months in hospital. Despite the success of the raid, several members of the gang had managed to escape, including the one who put a bullet in his partner. Though he was able to provide detailed descriptions, it seemed that the case didn't find much success while he was in recovery, stalled by bureaucracy and a lack of manpower. Eventually rumors started to pop up that the investigation had been put on hold due to one of the suspected gang members being the son of a high ranking official in the hero association.
While originally showing signs of improvement, the more time that passed without any resolution, the more Sora's mental state seemed to deteriorate. Even with some of the best psychological help the Hero association could provide, he soon began to suffer from flashbacks and dramatic mood swings that frequently made him aggressive. Inevitably he would vanish from the hospital before being discharged, taking to the streets as thoughts of revenge gnawed at him from the inside of his fracturing mind. If no one else would bring these villains to justice, then he'd do it himself.
For the next three years Sora would wade through the less savory edges of society, attempting to gather all the information he could about those that attacked him. The process was a slow one, marred by his ebbing sanity and a lack of resources. In order to keep getting by he was forced to take on work from less than trustworthy sources, which had the benefit of supplying both money and occasional bits of info on his search. Eventually he would earn a bit of a reputation for himself as a black market supplier, but in between the fits of insanity and less than legal dealings that have come to make up his daily life, the faces of those responsible for Izumi's death are still burned in his mind. Slowly but surely, he keeps getting closer.

THE ARMORY
-Dual-Mode shotgun - A reproduction of an antique Beneilli M3 shotgun, able to switch between pump action and semi-automatic firing modes.
-Shotgun shells - In addition to the 7 that his shotgun holds, Sora has room enough for two dozen shells on his belt for a total of 31 shots.
* 7 standard 12 gauge shells
* 21 non-lethal concussion shells - create a forceful shockwave rather than firing projectiles. The shockwave only has a range of about 5 meters, but carries enough force to easily knock the average man off his feet.
* 3 Dragon's breath shells - Pyrotechnic shells that use Magnesium pellets to create a short but intense burst of flame when fired, lacking much punch in terms of force but easily setting things ablaze. Has an effective range of about 100 feet (30 meters).
-Bastard Sword - A hand and a half sword with a 38 inch blade and an 8 inch waisted grip, designed in the European style.
-Glock 19 - A fairly standard 9mm pistol that was once favored by special forces across the world. Sora generally carries 3 of the 15 round clips into a fight.
-Combat knife
-4 grenades - 1 frag, 2 flashbangs, and 1 smoke
-Grappling hook - wrist mounted pneumatic grappling hook with a range of about 100 feet and a max load capacity of 500 lbs.
QUIRK & SKILLS
Living Weapon
TYPE: Transformation
RANK/LEVEL: B
SUMMARY:
It is one thing to train and gain mastery over a weapon, it's another thing entirely to be able to become a weapon yourself. Not as in training to the point of becoming as deadly as the weapon you wield, but literally, turning into a weapon. That is the Quirk that Sora was bestowed with, the ability to analyze and become a weapon of war. Upon attuning to a given weapon, he can alter his shape to take on that weapon's form and properties. This includes full or partial transformation, as well as a form of limited projection. For example, when attuned to a sword, Sora can fully take on the sword's shape, partially shift to turn one of his limbs into a blade, or protrude blade-like spines from his body. When it comes to ranged weapon, his body is able to produce ammunition, but doing so puts an additional tax on his stamina. In order to attune to a weapon, Sora must be in direct contact with it and have an understanding of any mechanics associated with said weapon. Additionally, the innate understanding that comes from attuning to a weapon allows him to wield it as if he had a skill equal to his quirk rank. Up to three weapons can be attuned at once, the forms of which can be mixed/combined when transforming or projecting.
Although able to operate on his own, Sora's quirk is primarily meant to work in tandem with another. As such, his body is able to act as a conduit of sorts and create a bond between him and his partner. A bond can be formed as long as Sora is in direct contact with a willing participant for at least 1 full post, and doing so essentially links their minds together, allowing them to share senses, knowledge, and skills, and communicate without the need for words. In addition, as long as the two are in direct contact, they are able to channel and augment each other's quirks. The exact effect of this channeling is dependent on the quirks in question, though it always has a cost associated with it(and must be approved by staff). Only a single bond can be formed at once and will persist as long as Sora and his partner are within a hundred feet of each other.

WEAKNESSES/LIMITATIONS:
When it comes to transformations, taking on a weapon form may often make Sora more durable, but that doesn't make him invincible. He still has sensation while shifted and any damage done to a weapon while he is transformed or projecting is also sustained by his body once the transformation ends. Additionally, taking too much damage (enough to break the weapon) can force him to revert instantly and result in serious injury. When fully transformed into a weapon Sora is unable to move or act on his own, and while partial shift and projection can get around this issue, they come with their own cost. Whenever a part of Sora's body is partially transformed, the joints around the area in question will slowly shift themselves and eventually lock up completely. The nearest joints will usually be effected within 6 full posts, and the effect will continue to spread from there until he is rendered completely transformed and immobile after 10 posts. If actively generating ammunition with his quirk, this effect only takes 5 posts to appear and 8 posts to immobilize. The effect only wears off if Sora does not use his quirk for an extended period of time (either a long rest or exiting the thread).
While being bonded to another allows Sora to enter a state of near perfect sync with his partner, it is not without it's drawbacks. Being so linked to another means that their own state can have a dramatic effect on their partner in the form of mental feedback. Any injury felt by one is felt by the other, whether it be physical or emotional. This is made more potent by the fact that Sora is unable to break the link himself. The only way a bond can be removed normally is either for his partner to sever the line, or to go beyond the hundred foot range. That's under normal circumstances anyway, the bond can also be broken if a significant amount of mental friction arises between the two, at which point their connection is shattered and both parties suffer a debilitating mental feedback, severely reducing their effectiveness and preventing another bond from being formed for at least 5 posts.

Red Haze
RANK/LEVEL: B
SUMMARY:
Despite having a quirk that most would consider defensive in nature, Izumi had a reputation for being an extremely aggressive fighter that would lose herself in the thrill of the fight. Given that part of her is now stuck forever in Sora's head, some of these tendencies have naturally transferred over. The longer Sora is in a fight, the more he starts to lose himself to the battle, a spark of manic fury slowly growing stronger and stronger until he sees nothing but red. When in this state, Sora loses site of everything but his opponent, pushing his body to the absolute limit in search of victory. Although this increases his fighting ability notably, it makes him more or less blind to the collateral damage he's causing and the injuries he's sustaining, both from his opponent and simply from pushing himself too hard. About the only way to stop the onslaught is for Sora to receive a significantly strong emotional shock, or for the fight to end.
Pistolero
RANK/LEVEL: B-
SUMMARY:
Originally taught to use handguns by his father, Sora found that as his quirk developed he had a bit of a natural advantage when it came to using the weapons. Although his training with them at the hero academy was rather limited, he found much more use for them after graduation. When the amount of practice that he's had, Sora is a rather impeccable shot, able to reliably hit the target even at distances of up to 60 meters when in favorable conditions.
Shotgun Savant
RANK/LEVEL: A-
SUMMARY:
Sora had received a fair bit of firearms training even before he went off the grid, but he had always preferred more traditional forms of weaponry himself. After diving into the underworld however, he found a brand new appreciation for guns and what they could do. The shotgun quickly became one of his favorites when he was introduced to a particular brand of nonlethal shells and he's carried one with him ever since. In addition to being a crack shot, he has learned to use the weapon in conjunction with his quirk to brace his body and use the kickback to maneuver with extreme precision.
Armorer
RANK/LEVEL: B-
SUMMARY:
Given his status at the fringes of the law, Sora has had to find new ways to procure equipment for himself. Rather than hunting down connections or suppliers however, he decided to put his knowledge of weaponry to use on the production line. Having learned how to work a machine shop over the years through a whole lot of trial and error, Sora has gained enough engineering knowledge to craft basically any type of weapon you could ask for, assuming of course that he has the time, resources, and an internet connection to look up any information he could be missing. The work he produces is incredibly varied and certainly functional, but he lacks the sort of support expertise to craft anything particularly high tech.
Galeforce (Agility boost)
RANK/LEVEL: B-
SUMMARY:
While he was still a hero, Sora had an understanding that his physical strength would never be able to match up with the many powerful quirks in the world. To even try to fight such an overwhelming force with direct might is a foolhardy exercise, and so he decided to take a different path in his training. Rather than focus on building muscle, he instead decided to focus on speed, skill, and reflexes. Over his many years of training, Sora has honed his body to a razor edge, able to react in an instant to a perceived threat and strike with speed and precision that most can't match without the aid of quirks.
