Osaka Bay, 9pm XX/XX/2434
The villain known as The Marionettist stepped out of the train and pulled on his mask as he walked towards the less populated part of Osaka Bay, where the warehouses were. He seemed to visit these so damn often, maybe he should actually think of buying some of these legitimately so he could set them up to be actual suitable for meetings. It probably would be wise. Making his way to the one he specified in the message to the other two, it was the warehouse he used for...many meetings in the last few months. As he had hacked the security on them, it was the safest bet as he could check beforehand to make sure someone else hadn't set any traps. One could never be too careful when dealing with fellow criminals- it wasn't like they had any duty to be faithful or loyal. He had actually made sure to come fully armed this time- he had learnt his lesson from one too many unprovoked attacks recently that fragile maidens like him needed protection at all times. Two dolls the size of teenage boys flanked him, one ash grey haired one dressed in black and red, the other blonde one dressed in white and blue. They followed him in a eerie unison as he pushed the door of the warehouse open and flicked on the light. He left the blonde one named Kimi at the door of the security office overlooking the rest of the warehouse as he went inside to check the CCTV. He had purposely come much earlier than agreed time to do all this, it made him realise just how much a "headquarters" of sorts would be valuable and less hassle. Ugh. Time to rob a bank or something pretty soon and earn a bit more cash, aswell as invest in some business, he supposed. It seemed everything was fine once he did a check over of the CCTV ad he sat where he was for a while longer, waiting for his guests to arrive. These kids better be worth his time as he was missing an episode of "Magical girl Setsuna-Candy" for this...

Kyou was in his costume, and fully armed with all thirty knives, plus his tanto, plus six five inch needles, two hard plastic knives, and his lockpick set. Vanish and Oni were nearby, but weren't going to intervene unless necessary. Hopefully that wouldn't be the case. He was punctual, arriving five minutes early, taking note the cameras around. With his red mask on, he wasn't identifiable except only as Akuma. He wondered if Wisp was around. That banter was quite fun, and led to more fun with Vanish after the other lad read it. With his outfit, it was clear that Kyou was male. Hopefully that wouldn't be an issue. He doubted it, but you never know.
Reaching the place, he tried the lock, only to find it locked. He took out a lockpick set, and went about picking it. It seemed like it used common key blanks, so it wasn't too difficult, but still took about five minutes to pick it. Vanish could do it much faster. Then again, he was also much more practiced than Kyou. The boy stepped inside and headed straight for the catwalk to head up, towards where a blond doll dressed in white and blue was at. Granted, he moved slowly, and had stopped at the top of the stairs. "Hey, Marionettist, you there? It's Akuma. And is Wisp here yet?" His voice changer fluctuated his voice a lot more than normal, making it switch from high pitched to low back to high, then to a middle ground before going down to low. He usually kept it at a lower setting, but he also didn't want useless questions like with that vigilante to get in the way. He wanted to make it obvious he was disguising his voice. Then again, this guy seemed competent on the chat.
If this worked out, it would be a good debut. And depending on their goals, could be the start of a good relationship.

Leon let out a quiet yawn as he gazed up at the scene before him. The bright lights of the city stood in stark contrast to the silhouettes of the skyline and the dark blanket of the encroaching night. A pencil idly spun through his fingers as he took in the picture for a few moments, then went back to work on the pad of paper that rested on his lap. The page of the sketchbook was already mostly covered in a rather faithful recreation of the view, outlines of all the major buildings etched out and shaded to reproduce the shadows cast by the countless lights that dotted the horizon. Technically the drawing could be called done at any time now, since all he was doing now was adding in details for a bit of flavor, and there were far too many for him to possibly capture all of them. No, the point was to kill time more than anything.
Since his last job with the Marionettist, Leon's normal clients had been strangely quiet. They had ended up causing quiet a scene after all, two bombings and a bit of arson. The police force had been going nuts trying to figure out who was responsible, so he figured that his clientele was just trying to lay low a bit to wade out the storm. That made sense, but it also meant that he'd been having a shortage of work, which also meant a shortage of income. Considering how well that last job had payed, it wasn't too much of an issue, but because of how lucrative it had been, the old lady practically chased him out the door the second his partner suggested a new plan. Something about keep close ties with colleagues that had already proven themselves more than competent.
As a result of Zephyr's urging, he'd arrived on site far earlier than he had any need for and decided to relax until it was time to meet up. He'd had plenty of time to scout out the location and had taken up a perch among the scaffolding of a large cargo crane, far above the eyes of any of the security cameras that dotted the vicinity. He'd made a point to highlight each of those in his drawing, a habit he'd picked up while he was learning to case potential targets.
A few minutes before the scheduled meet up, Leon noticed someone approach the warehouse. From the getup, it was a pretty fair guess that this was their new acquaintance. As much as he gave the guy a hard time, he wasn't much more than a kid himself, though his personal situation had demanded he mature beyond his years. Past experience told him that he wasn't the norm and most people younger than him tended to be less professional, but in the end it wasn't so much a question of age as it was attitude and conduct. As long as this guy could get a job done without causing problems, whether or not he was old enough to drink was irrelevant.
Taking the boy's presence as his cue to get to work, Leon packed away his sketchpad and slid his helmet back on, giving the system a chance to boot up before he got to his feet. He patiently waited for Akuma to pick the lock before kicking off the metal lattice of the crane and falling into a dive. A black streak against a dark sky, that's all Wisp was as smoke poured out from his body, using the thrust from his vents to slow his decent and kill any noise from his fall. He flipped as he approached the ground, landing softly in a crouch just beside the doorway before slipping in without a sound. Almost immediately he heard the tell-tale distortions of a voice modulator. It seemed like this kid's kit wasn't that much different than his own, though it probably didn't have as many bells and whistles built in. "Yeah, right behind you." He announced his presence as he launched himself up onto the catwalk beside Akuma with another flare of his vents, smoke still streaming off his bodysuit as he continued forward without skipping a beat, toward one of the dolls that Marion had told him about before. Damn those things looked creepy.

Aya watched the CCTV with dead eyes as the kid tried to pick the lock, he wasn’t too sure why he was doing it as he would have just unlocked the door when the time came but... whatever. Maybe he wanted to show his lock picking skills or something. Even if it was taking him 5 minutes and 34 seconds when he had seen most others who did this kind of fiddly thing do it in 40 seconds on average. If it was him, he would have just blown the door open if needed be, (thinking about it now) but maybe that was slightly too showy. In his defence, being the one actually doing the infiltration wasn’t his forte at all, he just helped people whose expertise was that subject. As he heard the warped voice call out, he saw a blur of black and smoke sweep past camera 9. That was probably Wisp. He was pretty sure the guy would run out of names sooner or later and give up his bold statement last time, or forget. He must have been up on another roof or something to cut across the screen like that. What was he, some kind of cat??? ... he didn’t want to think about bloody cats right now. Fuck cats. Also, what was up with all these high tech support items these days? High schoolers had them too now? Well, he assumed Akuma was a high schooler as if he was any younger even he would have to start questioning the future of Japan. But who knows, it may be a psychotic 12yr old for all he knew. Oh well, time to have to actually talk to people IRL!
Ugh. Aya stood up, moving out of the office and out into the warehouse floor. “Evening.” He spoke in his usual monotone, though as always the mismatch between his tone and softness of his voice was ever apparent. Maybe he should use a voice changer too! He could even make it sound like his current favourite C.V, Ao Ringo-chan!! ... that would be too much effort. Way too much effort. He’s stick with using his real voice seeing as his voice wasn’t the issue, it was his face. And as much as he looked like his dear daddy, he seemed not to have inherited his low, cold voice at all. Out of all the things he didn’t inherit, it was a shame really. Genetic lottery was pretty trash. “So now that we have done this amazing IRL meet-up, what are we meeting to do?” He asked, not totally sure of the point of this exercise as usually when he met up with potential work colleagues it was to test their skills. But that wasn’t a forte of his, he was just good at doing the watching while someone else got smacked with quirks and whatnot.

Well, at least Wisp wouldn't be useless. He was pretty silent. The man he was looking for had stepped out already, and now wondered what were they meeting to do. "That depends on you. A simple meet and greet, planning for this attack of yours, and/or testing me...there's a lot of different directions we can go from here. Or do multiple things. It's up to you. I'm fine with whatever." He leaned on the rail and waited on them. And hoped this attack wasn't going to be half-assed or anything like that. It really didn't make any difference to him on what they did. Instead, he took in their costumes.
Both were practical and looked good. A nice surprise compared to the usual scum he's found. The puppets were creepy, but interesting. And probably why the guy chose his name as the Marrionettist. His quirk probably had something to do with strings then or some kind of telepathic control, much like his. Wisp's obviously dealt with smoke or flames or maybe a little bit of both. An interesting quirk, obviously great for sneaking around. Asa-chan was great for getting around and checking things out and getting out, but sneaking around wasn't entirely his forte. His appearance, while somewhat plain, was also a little bit on the dirty end, making people notice him and avoid him as a homeless teen. Which was true, but they didn't ever give the guy a chance, he was a real sweetheart once you get to know him.

Wisp stopped his advance as the marionettist finally decided to step out of his office and make an appearance. He returned the man's greeting with a simple wave before leaning back against the rail himself. He'd stopped only a few feet away from the blonde-haired doll and couldn't help but stare at it a bit. These things definitely didn't get any less eerie when you got closer, realistic fibers and some expert craftsmanship making them fall squarely in the uncanny valley when you were near enough to make out the features. Damn things were basically indistinguishable at a distance if you didn't already know any better. He suppressed a shiver as he tore his gaze away and turned his attention back to this Akuma fellow.
Though his costume wasn't anything particularly fancy, it was almost immediately obvious that the kid was loaded for war. He stopped trying to count the number of knives he could pick out after the first dozen, why the hell did someone even need that many blades on them? He himself only ever had two, and it was a rare occasion when more than one of them got any use. Something to do with his quirk maybe? From their last outing he knew that Marion had at least six, it could have been something similar... Well, whatever. The kid's mask added a bit of character to the getup, you know, in a cute sort of way. He already knew that there was at least a voice modulator in there, but was that the extent of it? Guess they'd probably learn before too long.
It seemed that Marion didn't have any particular plans for this meeting, which meant that it was up to the new guy and... wait, did Akuma seriously not come with anything in mind either? What the hell was the point of this little get together anyway? He'd assumed that one of them wanted to discuss terms or make sure the rest were up for the task. 'I swear to god, if this whole thing is just a big waste of time...' He rolled his eyes at the thought and then glanced over to his colleague with gave a shrug.
"Well, mastermind, got anything? Or did we really show up just to say hello to some kid with a knife fetish?"

"I have already planned the raid. I am not an unprepared idiot. What do you take me for?"
Aya replied stiffly, followed by a sigh. Was he actually being insulted by a highschooler? Like he would try and recruit when he had no plan of what they were doing. No, the main thing he actually needed to know was if this child was actually worth the time to take with them to the job, it wasn't like he wanted to play kindergarten teacher and his plans weren't a school trip.
"Can you state your past jobs that are of note? From the check I did under the name you claim you are... there are a few hits on fan sites but it all seems rather...trivial. Do you understand that we will be attacking companies that directly sponsor heroes, so I will not be surprised if heroes and, or law enforcement arrive on the scene faster than we get to finish the job. And more than likely we will have to eliminate their security before getting in, and to be honest, I cannot have you fainting at the first sign of blood."
Or giving them a moral lecture mid job and pull a gun on them because they were going to kill a few civilians, like Fearwringer. ...wait, was that a dream or did that really happen? Okay maybe it had been a dream, no, that was a dream. Still, it totally sounded like something that stupid ex U.A hero-wannabe would do if given the chance. The whole point in this exercise for Aya was to attract public attention to their deeds- and for that he needed competent members he could utilise well.
"...And tell me of your quirk and it's main weaknesses."
It was a tall order, sure. But at the same time he had to know to be able to orchestrate things, and he didn't really want to get into a situation where he found out first hand. Well he guessed he would see if the kid was naive enough to tell him straight up.

Kyou tilted his head curiously. He did a check and didn't find much. Huh. There were two things of note. So either this guy sucked at checking things, or wanted to hear it straight from the horse's mouth. Though he did take some offense to the fainting at the first sight of blood thing...and the blatant question about his quirk. "First of all, nothing really. That's why I'm here. I want to step up my game before I graduate...and what better way to learn than from someone more experienced? Or am I wrong on that, Senpai?" He was mocking the man a tiny bit on the senpai bit. "Unless of course, you count a failed job that I didn't like in the first place. But as Wisp said, I do have something of a knife fetish...every fight I've been in, I've made people bleed and broken their bones. Hell, I just stabbed a good Samaritan in the knees not that long ago. So you don't have to worry about fainting at the sight of blood.
As far as my quirk or the quirks of my seconds go, you can promptly take that request and shove it where the sun don't shine. Along with your dolls. You don't need to know it. You just need to tell me my role and I'll tell you if I can do it and how well I can do it. And if we need to work something different out, we can. But I will not tell you anything about our quirks. I won't even ask you about yours. All that matters is whether or not someone can do the job they've been assigned to." If they can't, they need to either be reassigned or cut loose. That was the simplest way to do things. And hopefully he wouldn't be underestimated by these guys. Even if things don't go well here, and he ended up bailing, maybe he can use this opportunity anyways...hopefully.

As the exchange between Akuma and the Marionettist continued, Wisp folded his arms and looked on with a look of mild irritation, not that anyone could tell with his face being covered. He was starting to get impatient with the whole ordeal, but was doing his best to not let it show openly. As a villain, Wisp took pride in his ability to act as a professional, to keep his cool and keep his personal feelings out of the game when it wasn't called for. That being said, there were few things that irritated him more than cocky upstarts that thought they were entitled to respect. It didn't matter how good you thought you were, you had to actually prove it before you could even expect anyone else to care.
When Marion asked about the kid's quirk, Akuma made it pretty clear that he had no intention of sharing. Sure, even he was hesitant to let slip any of his weaknesses, but to not even answer the simple question of 'what can you do?' This was getting ridiculous. Wisp stood back up and starting walking toward Akuma, the tint of his visor hiding the glare he leveled at the kid.
"If you think that's how this works, then you're really showing just how little you understand, punk. This isn't some small time job we're talking about. We're hitting places that support heroes in the top 10, not the convenience stores you're so used to shoplifting from. You ever run into a real hero on a job before before? I have, and I ran because I'm not an idiot, but that's not gonna be an option this time. If you're going to be a part of this thing, then we have to be able trust you with our lives, and that includes knowing what your damn quirk is, because if shit hits the fan, there's no time to discuss whether or not you can do something. And guess what? If you fuck up, then we could all wind up dead."
He was standing directly in front of Akuma now, only about a foot away as he spoke. There was a chance that his little speech would have convinced the kid to actually answer the damn question, but Wisp wasn't really feeling like waiting to find out. "You sure we want this guy M? Because I'm-" Mid sentence, a wall of black ash erupted from Wisp's back as his vents all fired in unison, the shear force of the thrust nearly tearing off the railing on the catwalk behind him as it fueled a sudden punch at Akuma's gut. "-Not really feeling it." The blow was aimed slightly upward, and carried with it enough force to throw the kid across the warehouse floor if it connected properly. There was one surefire way to figure out what the guy's quirk was, and besides, he looked like he was practically begging for it.

Aya sighed deeply. He understood the importance, in theory, of growing the “next generation” of potential “villains” into actual capable adults, meaning he had to put up with this kind of behavior to an extent. If the circuit didn’t, it would be the end of all of them in the long run, himself included. He wasn’t dumb or arrogant enough to think he could do everything on his own, even if he may be able to handle most of it that was simply unproductive.
But god he hated children.
Maybe he was doing things wrong. Or maybe he was just a bad mentor, seeing as the last two teenagers he had agreed to somewhat look after had disappeared, without a trace in the last half year. Probably dead. But that was also reality, the weak or ignorant die first. And to be honest he wasn’t going to waste his time unless there was a strong chance he would get a good return on it.
It was just business.
“Being teenage delinquents is all very well... I am sure it is very thrilling and fun for you...if that is what you enjoy doing with your time....”
Aya said raising his head a little, his strangely fragmented bi-coloured eyes under the mask fixed on the younger boy; not that he ever engaged in those sorts of groups when he was younger, in fact he was the opposite as he had always been alone and never had people he could call friends.
“...but, some advice, child; if you are seriously considering a career in this field, I would start by finding out who you are speaking to, if only to make sure you make it out of places alive before you start trash talking your Senpai.”
It was something he did so often himelf infact thanks to Sen who tried to start a fight with everyone and anyone, as even they together weren’t the strongest by miles and to be quite honest, insulting a “super villain” and ending up having to support a losing fight wasn’t something he wanted to do at all. He simply wanted to survive and get enough power to do what he wanted to do, whatever means that took.
He did wonder how this child knew about his quirk when he was sure not even Wisp had seen his marionettes until today, but he had already told the other man of them at the last job they did. And the one time he ended up getting public attention for a crime, he had unfortunately been totally unarmed as... well, it was a “date” that had gone so, so terribly wrong.
“...And unfortunately without knowing your skills I cannot utilise you in a plan... and as all your reported crimes I can find have nothing special about them, it is hard to tell what your expertise is.”
Ugh.
He hated talking. Maybe he should get someone else to talk next time. He enjoyed watching, not being watched...
That was around the moment Wisp seemed to have had enough and started to talk. Actually it was the first time he had heard the other man talk so much, but that may have been because usually they were around people who didn’t shut up like Sen or BrightSide and so people like himself or the other man didn’t bother to say much, only to update the essentials.
He was right, what he said was pretty much what Aya thought just he wasn’t bothered to talk so much. So at least someone said it- a silent moment of gratitude to the steam train guy who Aya still wouldn’t mind dissecting, for the record. One day.
When Aya was addressed (by another bloody nickname of sorts...) he opened his mouth after a moment of silence to reply when a rush of air blew around him and he had to admit he was a little surprised, the emotion only being actually shown on his face by a slow blink, his features as deadpan as always. Wisp could do things like that too? That was pretty interesting, but then he supposed in theory yes it would be possible. It was such a shame the other man wouldn't just let him have a closer look at his body, as then he could come up with better ways to support him but well... he was shy and weary. Something like that.

Ah, there it was. The threat. And here he thought he was going to be disappointed, again. And then the leader said something interesting. But before he could say anything, Wisp came at him aggressively. A swing or a use of his quirk? Kyou was ready to move. And move he did when the attack came, though it did take the bottom half of one side of his combat vest, scattering eight knives back down the catwalk, and tore some clothing off his left side, along with some skin. Like a bad scrape. Impressive force. Kyou did a short hope and spin away from the man to the other side, barely a three foot difference in position of that. The boy had his arms crossed, and his left foot up, ready to push off it. "No shit. The strong survive and the weak fall behind. Don't think we haven't ran before. Before you attacked me I was about to say something to Marrionettist.
You (Marrionettist) said something interesting. Lead with a general request like that first, as specifics are a no go for me. Yes, I noticed your door wasn't locked when I tried to pick it, but considering the places we're hitting, I'm not good enough for it to be relevant. Same with the second that is better than me on that. I'm a fighter. At any range, I can accommodate you. And switch seamlessly to supporting one or both of you at once if needed. I'm well rounded and can handle most roles in combat, from being in the center of it to being a supporting role. My two seconds are mostly CQC. I'm the type to keep a trick or two up my sleeve at all times. I'm the guy you send to lead a group of guys to get a job done. You need a juggernaut? I can do it. You need stealth, not the greatest, but not necessarily bad either, but one of my seconds is fairly decent. You need someone to take out vehicles, yeah, I can do that. All you need is a lookout? Sure. Someone to watch your back, certainly. I'm not joking when I say that I can handle most jobs without issue. All you need to do is give me one and I'll fulfill it with everything that I am.
As far as trust goes, Wispy boy, that goes both ways. And simply put, trust can be earned without spilling secrets or shedding each other's blood all over the place. And I can't think of a single reputable or infamous hero that killed so lightly. So forgive my doubts on the whole getting killed part. Captured is another story is what I'm more worried about." While he was speaking, from the boot rested firmly on the ground, a needle slipped out behind his calf. Then it went down between the grates in the catwalk, and stayed in the shadows as it positioned itself to underneath Wisp's foot. Then it shoved up as hard as Kyou can make it, hopefully shoving it neatly between bones in the man's foot, making the five inch needle be visible from the top. Considering the route and positioning, he doubted Wisp would be able to spot it and dodge it or anything. Even if it missed, it would simply stop in front of him, point at him, was thrown at 55 miles per hour, aiming for the thigh.
Hit or miss, he wouldn't say anything. Though the mask mostly hid even his eyes, the most observant of people might see that his eye color had changed from amber to a more molten orange during is monologue. A sign that he was using his quirk. He'll play defensively if Wisp attacked again, but otherwise kept a non-threatening demeanor.

Wisp felt his fist glance off his target as a the expanding wave of hot ash washed over him, obscuring his form a bit as the particles did their best to spread out through the room. Even if his approach had been fairly obvious, the speed of his swing was nothing to laugh at, and the fact that Akuma had the reflexes to even partially dodge his blow was pretty damn impressive. Of course, he had a feeling that some fresh burns would make themselves known around that scrape in a second or two given how much heat was coming off his arm. Still, turns out the little shit wasn't just all talk after all. That revelation alone was about the only thing that bought him enough leeway to keep talking while the thief suppressed the rather powerful urge to take another swing.
Even if Akuma had actually started to answer The Marionettist's questions, he did so with the same attitude that had pissed Wisp off in the first place, and by the time the kid got to talking down to him, his patience was once again nearing its limits. "Who do you think you're calling boy, kid? Let me-" As he took a step forward, Wisp flinched as he suddenly felt a sharp pain from his lower body. He stopped dead in his tracks and looked down to see something shiny sticking out of the top of his foot, something shiny and tinted with red. It didn't take all that long to connect the dots with what had just happened, but even still he just stood there staring down for a few long seconds while something snapped.
"Heh."
Reaching down toward his foot, Wisp began to speak again where he left off, his voice now soft and completely level. "-Let me explain something you seem to be missing, friend. You don't know me, I don't know you. Both of us claim to be villains of a sort. That's all fine, I really don't have a care in the world about how you live your life, but if you want to be in the big leagues, you've got to at least act the part. You don't get respect until you earn it, and you've gotta understand that mouthing off to the ones who are offering you a job is a pretty poor way to do that." He paused for a moment as he pulled hard on the needle and ripped it out of his boot, clenching his teeth hard as move pain ran through his body. As it came loose, blood spurted out of the fresh hole, but only a little bit as the sound of sizzling flesh quickly made itself known. The blood on the surface dried and the wound cauterized itself as heat began to rise from his body. "Sure, I swung first. That's on me, which is why this right here-" He waved the needle back and forth as the temperature around him continued to rise, causing the blood on the metal to flake away and join the ash in the air. "-is not the issue. I hit you, you hit me, that's fair and I can let it slide. The issue is that you're not in this game yet and we are. Now I'm willing start this whole conversation over, give you the benefit of doubt and see if we can make this work, but I expect you to act like the professional you're trying to be, because, well... You mentioned trust without secrets or blood, so let me tell you something you can trust." By this point, the catwalk around Wisp had started to glow orange from the heightened temperature that was coming off him. Anyone standing near him would feel the full heat of an open blazing furnace.
"If I wanted you dead, you'd be dead."
As if to add to the discord between the tone of his voice, his words, and his quirk boiling over, the red LED's in Wisp's helmet lit up with the last sentence, forming a "^_^" face across his mask to punctuate the statement.
"So what do you say, friend?"

The truth was Aya just needed to know what the child was best at doing- he liked to think with his experience in coordinating HIVE missions, yakuza office raids and the like from before, he was decently capable at utilising people in the most effective way as long as he had this information. So it wasn't really helping when he was told the child was good at pretty much everything. But very well. He could just watch and observe for the duration of this meeting and decide if this was really a good idea. He was pretty good at that too, if he should say so himself. His gaze flicked back and forth between the back of Wisp's helmet to the Oni mask Akuma was wearing and back, trying to pick up any slight movement, any hints. If only the child could just... use their quirk this would be easier. The fact the boy (he assumed. It COULD be a flat chested girl, who knows.) thought there was no such thing as the "accidental death" loophole that many heroes and their lawyers utilised when villains did end up getting killed resisting capture confirmed to the violet haired man Akuma still had a lot to learn in this circuit. Wasn't it rather infamous that a few heroes were very guilty of this? Didn't one top 10 hero have 8 accidental death cases filed for him in his rather short career of 5 years or something? Then again those were hardly covered by the mass media so it wasn't surprising that a high school kid wouldn't know about them. The villain sort of hoped that Wisp attacking him out of the blue would force the other to use his quirk- of course this kind of fighting was a waste of time mainly, and it was probably a waste of energy to lose one's temper at a child, but there has to always be something gained, even from wasting time. Oh.The kid's eyes had changed colour. Was he using a quirk? It was common for eyes to change colour when one used their quirk, that was pretty standard but well, it could just be for aesthetic, or to throw enemies off. Who knows. He couldn't see their young guest do anything else so it really could be either. When Wisp moved, a moment later Aya saw a rather clear flinch of the man's shoulders- what was it?? This was one of those times he wished he was mentally synched with all the people he worked with... no actually he took that back, that would be awful. It was bad enough sharing thoughts with one person, nevermind more. Thankfully he didn't have to wait too long to see what had happened. Was that... a metal needle? How... oh. The grates. Probably. So not a quirk that could make things intangible, but probably something like his own quirk, in the string family or telekinesis family, so an emitter, most likely as there was no way he could have planted those needles beforehand. That sort of matched up with the eyes changing colour thing too. Oh.
How boring. He had been hoping for another rare mutation or transformation quirk. In the grand scheme of things most quirk families worked similar with minor differences so ones closest to himself and things that didn't actually alter the user's body to achieve (so in short, most emitters) were least interesting to him. Well, one couldn't be too spoilt, he supposed. His musings were interrupted by the fact...it felt rather hot in here. That could only be one person- his eyes went to Wisp, an eyebrow raised in slight amusement. Oh. He was...really hot. Like, literally. Aya could see heat rising from the other man's form as he spoke in a tone he had not ever heard before. Was he...angry? Watching the area surrounding the man steadily rise in temperature, the air seeming to blur around the suit-clad form, Aya sort of wished he had something to record the temperature readings on Wisp right now. Alas, he didn't come THAT prepared. Oh well, maybe next time.Aya casually stepped backwards a few more steps back up where he came from, firstly so he would have less chance of needles being stabbed from below (and hell, if those things CAN become intangible then god help him, he hated those quirks now) and secondly incase Wisp decided to blow up in their face. He kind of hoped that wouldn't happen, but well... he couldn't say even he controlled himself very much the one time he got actually angry. Admittedly it was the dumbest reason to have a police alert filed even if they didn't actually catch him. Well, Wisp had said (from the bits he was listening to) what he wanted to say so.. eyes went on Akuma to see their response. He kept Ore close to him, just incase he was needed.

Wisp was really amusing. The hot smokey guy thought he was mouthing off to him? Heh...he hadn't heard anything yet. But then again...the other things the man said...well...he'd earned Kyou's respect. He remained still. A calm fury...that made him smile, though no one could see it. "I've always had the tendency to get under other people's skins. Both intentionally and unintentionally. Most of that here was unintentionally." So he relaxed a bit and tentatively reached for his needle, only to stop at the glowing piece of metal. So he just kind of let it go...hopefully it'll cool down enough for him to handle it without him using his quirk, assuming he'll even be allowed to take it back. "I'm sorry if I offended you. What do I say? I say let's go kick some ass and punish some support companies for providing gear to the top ten heroes. If you'll have me." Hopefully they'll let him on so that he could earn some respect.
He didn't let the hot air around him bother him. It wasn't just smoke then, but heat as well. Yeah, the guy had the quirk to back up his threat. But did he have the skills? Hopefully he'd find out as allies, not as enemies. But now, it was all on Wisp. Whether the guy believed the red head or not. Kyou would admit that he was a bit arrogant. He also noticed that the head guy here moved away a bit, closer to one of his dolls. Well, if you can't stand the heat then get out of the fire. That was only smart. Though even he would admit that he probably wouldn't be able to stay in close to Wisp like this for long.

There, that was more like it. Some of the tension left Wisp's muscles as Akuma gave his response, finally showing at least some form of professionalism. He took a breath to try and clear the fire from his eyes, only to realize that the inside of his helmet was full of the sounds of safety alarms that had gone unnoticed when his temper took over. 'Ah, shit.' A flashing temperature gauge in the corner of his vision was maxed out, and he could hear the sound of sizzling coming off the surface of his suit. Iris would give him hell for that when he got back, both for the equipment and the burns that he was likely giving himself. That thought alone was enough to pull him the rest of the way out of his rage, a small smirk forming across his face.
When Akuma started to reach for the needle, Wisp just shook his head and chuckled. "You don't want this right now, kid, give it a good few minutes so you don't burn yourself." He stepped off the metal grate and set the red hot needle on the floor before twisting a knob on one of his shoulders. Several extra vents opened up across his body, and the air around him was almost instantly flooded with steam as he began to cool back down. Through the clouds, Wisp turned his gaze toward the marionettist in attempt to return to the matter at hand, taking note of the fact that the man was a bit further back than he remembered.
"This is your job, so it's your call I guess. Can we use him?"
Honestly, he still wouldn't have minded giving the kid a real attitude adjustment, but with his inner professional taking back over, he knew that it was neither the time or the place for that. He'd already, quite literally, lost his cool once, and any attempt to push things further would be... messy, for everyone involved.
