[attr="class","hiraeth"]黒い ウサギ | [attr="class","achee"] [attr="class","castleonthehill"] ❝ Obviously this wasn’t the part of town where people asked questions about the legality of things.❞ The sun had only just gone down and already the atmosphere had changed drastically in the west side of Ikebukuro. In a way it reminded Kiyoko of home, though obviously it was somewhat worse here being in Tokoyo. Still though she could feel it in the air. What IT was particularly isn’t exactly something she’s ever been able to pin down properly. But what can be said is that it is the same thing that sends chills down the spines of honest people when they walk through a bad part of town. The same thing that causes people without power to be afraid of every shadow and sudden movement.
Kiyoko could feel the eyes on her. Not just lecherous men who were more interested in her physical form than the oddness of her being there, but from just about anyone. After all it wasn’t like she looked like the typical resident of this part of town. Part of her almost wanted someone to confront her about it, for whatever reason they might want to stop her. All in all it wouldn't matter once she was grinding their faces into the sidewalk with the heel of her boot.
Getting the grin off of her face would have been more difficult than trying to jump your way into outer space. With one hand buried in the pocket of her jacket and the other holding the stem of a sour apple flavored lollipop she walked down the street with a certain saunter to her step. It matched the rest of her posture well. Back straight and head held high. If she were in a more formal outfit and in and office there’d be no doubt that she would me mistaken for a someone very high on the corporate ladder. Though the fact that her height and appearance look more at home at a high school wouldn’t help, and in fact it doesn’t in her current situation either.
But her appearance didn’t really matter. Let them underestimate her. “All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when we are able to attack, we must seem unable.” A quote from one of the many books she had read in her father’s study as a child. A great military philosopher, though many of his teachings applied to more than just war. Ultimately her youthful appearance played to her favor. Sometimes people knowing who she was made sense, but generally if anyone confronting her underestimated her then the fight would be over long before it happened.
The distinct smell of street food drafted by Kiyoko and caught her attention. The scent sparked her nostalgia before her mind was able to fully identify it. Takoyaki, Osaka style. Damn she missed good street food. Sure you could find some nice places to grub in Tokyo but nothing came close to the street food back in Osaka. Following her nose Kiyoko quickly found the source of the smell. A street stall still open this late, and apparently doing rather well if the small crowd of people either eating or waiting to order was any indication.
She hadn’t intended to grab anything to eat while out tonight but this was too good to just pass up. Getting in line behind a woman who was rather obviously some kid of low class escort Kiyoko couldn’t stop her mouth from watering being this close to the source of such good smelling food. The closer she got to the small stand the more she could make out the voice of the man serving the food. His accent was seriously thick and undeniably from Osaka. There’s no doubt this was going to be some good eating.
“A little late to be out on your own girl?” The man running the stand asked as Kiyoko reached the front of the line.
“Two things of Takoyaki. Oh, and a beer,” Kiyoko responded, ignoring the comment on her apparent age and putting down the cash to pay for the food and drink. The man looked at her with a raised eyebrow for a second, contemplating her appearance. With a shrug he took the cash and began on serving up the order. Obviously this wasn’t the part of town where people asked questions about the legality of things.
“You sure you’re old enough to be drinking, little girl?” A guff and obviously inebriated voice chuckled behind Kiyoko. Ignoring the comment she continued to wait for her order. That is until a hand takes hold of her shoulder.
“I suggest that you take your hand off of me,” Koyoko’s tone and expression both took on a darker tone. Slightly adjusting her stance she prepared to knock this fool into separate state of consciousness.
“Oh, and what are…” the voice began to ask, cutting off at Kiyoko moved. In a single swift motion she spun around, bringing up her most distant leg and leveling it with the man’s head. Halfway through the spin she jumped up with her second foot to give her the extra height needed to reach her target. The the toe of her metal lined boot contacted with the side of the man’s head with a loud crack. The sudden whiplash caused him to stumble back. Already in the air Kiyoko shifted her weight using the follow through momentum to bring up her second foot. Less than a second after the first strike the heel of her second foot landed in almost the exact same position that the first had. Landing on her leading foot she continued to spin until she was once again facing the stand, stopping her twirling motion as her secondary foot hit the ground and scraped along the sidewalk for a few centimeters.
There was a hush through the crowd, the silence only accentuating the sound of the man behind her thumping against the ground unconscious. Kiyoko had to hold back the urge to turn around and add to his injuries, though the promise off food in front of her made it easier to do. With a surprised look on his face the man running the little stall handed over the takoyaki and beer. She didn’t recognize the brand and didn’t much care as she had only really ordered it as a pairing with the takoyaki anyway. More than likely she’d end up throwing most of it away anyhow.
With food and beverage in hand she began to saunter away just as she had come up. Though behind her were whispers and muttered talk about what had just happened. She’d need to be careful not to draw too much attention without her hood and mask on in the future. Kiyoko Tamura was not who needed a reputation around here, that infamy belongs to Black Rabbit.

Nightfall, As the city starts to slumber, It awakens in this city of greed
Shin looked around- it had gotten dark somehow, had that much time passed? It seemed so. The night city had lit up with a million lights, the city of Ikebukuro was rather dazzling in its own way at night. The urban mess, Shin didn't hate it. It was a testament that there was life here- it wasn't a bad thing at all. The mass of people trying to scramble home, the groups heading off to various establishments, even the shady looking figures lurking in the corners of the city. They all raidated life- life that would disperse like petals falling off the cherry tree much too soon for those it belonged to. “It is painfully easy to define human beings. They are beings who, for no good reason at all, create their own unnecessary suffering.” It was indeed true- as one wise cat had said in prose, words now whispered into the villain's ear. A disturbance got his attention from somewhere to his right- ah, more humans who were creating suffering for no good reason but to attempt to satisfy their ego. And a young lady who danced elegantly in the moonlight. How quaint. How very fitting of the chaos that made up this side of town, the lawless west side where gangs and groups alike called it their base, pushing their own selfish agendas. Shin didn't hate this either. Without conflict there was no progress. He watched as the seemingly young girl walked away from the street fight, victorious. "Ah- young girl, your change-" The stall owner seemed to finally realise he owed the woman change as he waved it around, hoping to get her attention when a slender hand took the money from his hand. "I shall deliver it to her, do not worry." Shin smiled at the man who still looked a little shell shocked. "Excuse me, young lady." Shin said as he caught up with the blonde who was walking away. His Kyoto accent was clear, making his rather clear, high voice sound more song like. "I believe you forgot this?"

[attr="class","hiraeth"]黒い ウサギ | [attr="class","achee"] [attr="class","castleonthehill"] ❝ Her gut feeling was that there was more to him than his appearance led on.❞ Ignoring what was going on behind her Kiyoko continued on her way down the street. Only now did she realize her current predicament. With takoyaki in one hand and a can of beer in the other she was going to have a very difficult time drinking or eating. Looking back and forth between the two for a second she decided to stuff the drink into one of the pockets of her hoodie for now. Grabbing one of the skewers she got about two centimeters from taking her first bite before a voice interrupted her. The accent was pretty obviously from Kyoto, being from the same city she could even get a slightly better idea of which part of town he came from. Interesting.
Putting her tasty treat back down in the little paper container it had come in she turned around to regard the one who had stopped her. Immediately she took in relevant information about him, body language, posture, clothing, even the look on his face. While there wasn’t anything concrete that she could go on her gut feeling was that there was more to him than his appearance led on. She’d been living in the underbelly of society long enough to have a good sense enough for that.
“Huh... So I did,” she said noticing the money that the man was carrying. An odd action for someone to do in this part of town. In fact everything about this guy didn’t exactly seem like it belonged. “You sure you’re not lost or something?” she asked, ignoring the change and going back to what she had been about to do before being interrupted. Picking up the takoyaki she took a bite off the first ball and began chewing. “You don’t exactly give off the gangster vibe,” she said, completely ignoring the fact that she was currently the pot calling the kettle black.

"Lost?" Shin asked with a slow tilt of his head. He had just been left hanging, having held out the money but it seemed the girl was disinterested in taking it from him. It didn't seem to occur to the older man that being dressed the way he was, like he was either a cosplayer, time traveller who had just stepped out of the meiji era or a member of a traditional Japanese-fusion rock band would make him stick out quite a bit, specially as his clothing was white against the darkening backdrop of the city. "I suppose you were not looking for a philosophical answer saying we are all, lost. I am well aware where I am, here is the West side of Ikebukuro, am I correct?" The man replied with a slightly unsettling smile. He studied the blonde for a few moments, before his gaze moved to somewhere behind him as if looking at someone standing behind him, before he turned back and continued to speak. "You are correct, I am not one who frequents here. But young lady, you seem to be an irregularity here also, am I correct? What brings you here?" He could tell the other was cautious of him, and he wondered why. He seemed to have that effect on quite a few people, but he had no idea why. He supposed the last person he spoke to who didn't look at him like he had three heads was that school girl, but then she seemed to know him from his Kabuki days so maybe that was why.

[attr="class","hiraeth"]黒い ウサギ | [attr="class","achee"] [attr="class","castleonthehill"] ❝ Maybe she could “accidentally” spark a gang war or something. That’d be fun to watch.❞ Yup, this guy was definitely off. It didn’t really bother Kiyoko any, she’d met more than a couple people whose brains just worked differently than everyone else. Hell she had worked with a few before. One thing she did know though was to be prepared to dip at any moment when dealing with that kind. Even if there was a slight chance that they would go nuclear it was still something to take into consideration.
“Not particularly,” she said between bites of her street food. Well he did seem to know where he was, at least geographically speaking. As for if he was aware of what meaning that had was another question entirely. Though something told her that he wasn’t giving a literal answer just to be sarcastic.
"Well sh*t, looks like you caught me,” Kiyoko said, switching to english for the single curse word she had used, “I’m just out and about for a walk. I was kind of hoping to run into something interesting but I ended up finding some good food which is good too. I mean there was that one guy at the stand but he was about as interesting as staring at a blank wall for a few hours.” She sighed slightly. She knew that the chances of running into someone who could give her a serious fight wasn’t that high, but even so she had been slightly hopeful that the guy who had put his hand on her would have put up a bit more of a struggle. Oh well, she would finish her midnight snack and then find something else to do. Maybe she could “accidentally” spark a gang war or something. That’d be fun to watch.
“Oh, you can hold onto that if you want. I don’t really care,” Kiyoko said, using the skewer she was currently eating from to point at the cash in this guy’s hand. The food had been pretty cheap in the first place so she wasn’t concerned about it. Plus if she needed a little extra cash she could knock over a convenience store somewhere.

"Ah, how rude of me, I did not tell you my name." Shin blinked, shaking his head a little at himself. "Akatsuki Shin, it is a pleasure to meet you." He said with a small bow; his movements were fluid but somehow slightly over the top- a side effect of having been trained in classical Japanese dance, and well, having played a Onnagata for so many years it sort of seeped into everything one did and even if he had not stood on the Hanamichi, or the flower path for what felt like forever. In reality it had only been around 3 years or so, but he couldn't deny sometimes he missed it. “Of all the tribulations in this world, boredom is the one most hard to bear.” "I see...so you are bored also? Infact, young lady, you seem perpetually bored- is life that boring for yourself?" Shin asked tilting his head a little. Her words seemed so full of hunger for something more- violence? Thrill? Excitement? All of those? Something else? She seemed to smell of someone who desired something in life and it intrigued the older man. She seemed young, probably in her mid or late teens, but that meant nothing. The physical body was simply a vessel, there was more to it than that- he should know more than anyone else of this. He looked at the money that the other said she didn't want before putting it away- well, he wasn't one to waste money even if he didn't need it either, that would be an insult to the money, and Daikokuten would not look favorably on him if he did such a thing, or so Kaya-san would say. "It is the truth, child."

[attr="class","hiraeth"]黒い ウサギ | [attr="class","achee"] [attr="class","castleonthehill"] ❝ The purpose in life in the grand scheme of things was simple, to make more life and perpetuate the species.❞ “Uh… right… nice to meet you..” Kiyoko said, not quite sure if this guy was giving his real name or not. If he was doing that in this part of town it usually meant one of a few things. Either he was just stupid, which she highly doubted. Or he was insane, which seemed to be the most likely option. It’s also possible that he’s someone important around here and just saying his name is supposed to carry weight, though she’s never heard that name before so maybe not. Or he’s just confident enough in his own power that he’s not worried about people knowing his real name even in this part of town. That last one is the most worrying option.
The… eccentricity of his introduction definitely had some meaning behind it. Her current theories boiling down into more refined ideas the more she takes in about him. For now though she’ll just try not to set him off, better to avoid a confrontation of any kind against someone who she wasn’t sure about.
“Oh… I’m Sato Ayame,” Kagami said, using an alias to introduce herself, just in case, “Yeah. I guess you could say that. Boredom is the disease of the modern world I guess. Or at least I read that in some article somewhere. Something about the hierarchy of needs and once you’ve got all the necessities that you start making up problems. I don’t know really. But I do what I can to keep things interesting.”
This guy reminded her of those philosophical types. The ones who liked to sit around and think about the meaning of life and all that. Sure she did read a few books by some philosophers, though mostly those were more practical things than extraneous details. To her the purpose in life in the grand scheme of things was simple, to make more life and perpetuate the species. Humanity just decided they weren’t gonna do only that and made something more out of life. Really you could call that being beyond purpose in a way, even if somewhere along the way the species decided that going against the natural laws of being animals was a good idea.

It was cold. Is what the dummy would say if it could speak. Walking the streets with his face completely covered up, under all the layers was a completely bare white body. There rested no muscles or any mass. It was just a man who had the frame of a lanky individual. He wore a hat that was tipped down to hide his facial features along with a dark pair of shades of goggles that wrapped themselves around his head. Given that he had no ears he couldn't wear shades otherwise that was likely what would have been there instead. However given the circumstances he would have to make due. Around his mouth was wrapped a thick scarf and just a little bit below that was a trench coat which covered the rest of his body. Pretty much if it wasn't apparent, this man was trying to hide his identity. Still given that it was still cold outside his garment wasn't THAT peculiar. But it WAS still a bit excessive. Glancing down at the photo in hand, the dummy paused for a second as he happened upon a very peculiar scene. He stared forward for a second before glancing back down at the photo and then back up at the man and small girl. Today's orders were three very simple ones. Find the man in that picture and signal back when you have. It was one that had been issued countless times. Upon taking several minutes to verify whether the man in the photo was actually legit, the dummy finally decided to send back a prompt back to it's maker. With it's orders complete, the minion then did what it did best. Stand so still that was it creepy. As it stood there awaiting further orders, the minion remained motionless as it stared towards shin for almost three minutes. It was undoubtedly weird and several passersby turned and looked at the still man but given that he took no action all he got was a bunch of odd stares. That soon changed however as the dummy's head rose upon receipt of a new order. ***ATTACK*** .
..
...
Without warning the dummy broke out into a sprint.
Rearing back his arm as he readied it, the minion would give no warning as he launched it's fist toward it's target head.
Given the White Pawn's strength level however, it's ability could be compared to a grown man.
So if it hit it would likely smart but....that's about it. ...
..
. Whether it struck true or not mattered little however as a lady in a fluffy coat watched from a nearby building. Equipped with a pair of binoculars the lady watched with mild curiosity as her pawn launched itself at the man. Sending out various orders to her scattered men around the area, Nao's aquamarine eyes wondered how many of the rumors about her target were true and how many were fake. Well there was no point thinking about it she supposed as she began to focus on the exchange. Because after all, she would see the truth with her own eyes in just about a few minutes. "Should be interesting to watch right K-1?" Nao said out loud to the Black Dummy that stood silently beside her.
It didn't seem to register what she said but Nao knew that was only because K-1 was the strong silent type.~

Shin nodded as he listened to the young woman, he could sense it though, this person felt like one who enjoys the thrill of battle, of clashing with those who could stir up the mundane, perhaps she would be willing to spar with him? But alas, it seemed she was weary of him for some reason unknown to him- he was pretty sure he wasn't leaking any blood lust, that sort of feeling only climbed to the surface when someone disappointed him; when one promised him grandeur and fell short, the unsightly scene of the weak making themselves up to be something they were not, the disgraceful act of over inflating one's own ego... those were the things that made Shin want to kill, to cut through those impurities with his honor.
“He thirsted for blood, and since others were not available for slaughter, he sucked his own blood and was satisfied.”
But this young lady had done nothing of the sort, so she had naught to be so cautious about. Unless a guilty conscious was speaking to her?
"Sato-han, I wou-"
The black haired man paused abruptly- he had been aware of someone a couple of meters in front of him, watching them for a while now. He had assumed it was due to the fact he always attracted attention from passers by, it was mainly harmless. Okay, sure, so their spectator was a little strange, almost unnerving, one may say, as it seemed the figure had not even moved an inch in the time they had been conversing but Shin wasn't really paying much attention to them, only catching him in the corner of his eye and he supposed there were weirder people in this part of town. Even the rare times that the stares were hostile, it was nothing major... nothing that lasted more than a few moments to disarm an opponent of such low caliber who would think of attacking a poor man just on their appearance alone.
“But sick or well, humans are fragile creatures, you know. There's no anticipating how or when they might die, or for what reason”
But this was different. That "someone" was running towards them, their shoes hitting the pavement in steady beats, rapidly closing in. Shin turned his gaze to the approaching assailant, his palms up straight against his face and as the man dove forward to punch him, he slid to it's left, slipping past the punch and closing the space between them. Grabbing the man's arm by his clothing, Shin executed a swift take down, slamming the figure down onto the pavement below them, his expression one of mild amusement.

[attr="class","hiraeth"]黒い ウサギ | [attr="class","achee"] [attr="class","castleonthehill"] ❝ Whatever it was it definitely wasn’t a person that’s for sure. The thing looked more like a mannequin than a human being.❞ Well this interaction had been interesting so far. Staying wary of this man who had called himself Akatsuki seemed to be the right move. If there was one thing Kiyoko had learned was that while some people were easy to read and get a feel for their threat level, others weren’t so much. And if you couldn’t tell how powerful someone was with a few brief glances then it was a safe bet to say that they were more dangerous than not. And with the slightly off feeling she was getting from him she’d rather stay slightly on guard.
Kiyoko halfway raised an eyebrow when Akatsuki, if that was really his name anyway, paused mid sentence. Something behind her had caught his attention. Whatever it was it wasn’t some loud commotion, or else she would have heard it. It still seemed to get his attention though. Something was tickling that feeling in her gut that said something was about to go down. Almost imperceptibly she tensed up her legs, ready to run or fight should the situation call for it.
The sounds off approaching footfalls met Kiyoko’s ears, someone was running towards them from just outside her vision. Not missing a beat she sidestepped and turned to see the oncommer. It was immediately obvious that this very bundled up figure was heading straight for her current company. Biting into the last ball of her takoyaki she watched as this assailant was easily dropped to the ground. As she expected, this Akatsuki guy wasn’t as helpless as his appearance might lead some to think.
“Well that wasn’t a well thought out attack,” Kiyoko said with a small chuckle. Grabbing the second skewer she began on her second set of octopus balls. Stepping forward she poked the assailant’s head with the tip of her metal lined boot. “Come on, that wasn’t entertaining at all. If you’re gonna try and run up on somebody like that make it less obvious,” she said. Something was off though, this guy hadn’t made a sound when he was smacked against the pavement. Most anyone would at least let out an involuntary grunt. Crouching down she yanked off the hat that the person was wearing, quickly followed by the goggles and scarf.
“Okay, that’s not creepy at all,” Kiyoko said while examining the features, or lack there off, on this thing. Whatever it was it definitely wasn’t a person that’s for sure. The thing looked more like a mannequin than a human being. Either this was a person who had the world's worst quirk or it was something else entirely. Perhaps some kind of remote controlled robot or something. “A friend of yours?” Kiyoko asked Akatsuki, wondering if this rang any kind of bells for him. After all the thing had ran straight for him in the middle of the street.

And just like that...
The pawn had been floored.
The slam against the ground looked like it hurt as much as it sounded with the minion's back being slammed viciously onto the ground.
With it's body having sustained extreme damage, all that the pawn could do as it rested against the ground was lay there.
The damage had been high....
But it hadn't been enough.
Or so had been the case until a certain girl's boot happened to poke the minion's head.
And just like a party balloon....
...
..
.
*POP!*
.
..
... It was loud, it was sudden, and given that it came unexpectedly, it would have likely caught the attention of everyone on the street. A mixture of confetti, glitter, and sparkles exploded from the man as any trace of him instantly vanished. Naturally the only thing left of him would be his clothes which would initially fly slightly up into the air due to the force of the explosion and then slowly drift back down onto the cold pavement. Bystanders and random onlookers would have likely been shocked not only by Shin's quick takedown but also by the subsequent explosion that erupted from the downed man. Many would likely looked confused and several would sort of wonder whether they needed to call a hero or maybe even the police. Even if they did however, that wouldn't have worked though. The white haired woman was already thinking several steps ahead prior to engaging in this encounter. The woman had already issued several orders around the town to at least a couple dozen of her little followers and with them causing trouble as several higher priority locations, she doubted that there would likely be any interruptions while commenced with her little 'test'. Anywho! On with the test!~ As the people, and likely also her target, stood slightly confused, from the muttering crowd would seemingly grow ever larger. It partially could have been assumed that it was due to the commotion caused by Shin and his friend but if one looked carefully you would soon start to realize there was a growing trend in the people who were littered around them. The crowd kept a wide circle around the two as the people who gathered didn't want to get too close but also wanted a good look at what was going on. Various thoughts would pass through the people as they wondered if the guy and the girl were putting on a show. The small girl looked like an absolute cutie and the tall man was a complete heart throb. Given that the two didn't seem like they were doing anything inherently evil, the crowd couldn't help but wonder if the two were pretty much doing something akin to a street performance given the nature of their opponent that had just burst into harmless confetti. Nao however wasn't concerned with any of the thoughts of the crowd. What concerned her were the few minions she had scattered among them so as to stop Shin from escaping. If the young girl close to Shin so chose to leave, Nao wouldn't stop her. Actually, Nao not wanting the girl to get hurt, decided to send an order to a spare Dummy while she kept her eyes focused on the action. It only took a second but Nao made sure not to miss a thing as she watched the spectacle from afar. Nao was one hundred percent solely interested in one thing right now. And that thing was Shin Akatsuki. As the growing mummers grew ever louder, the crowd's attention would soon snap towards the two emerging figures stepping forth from them. Just like the last 'Man' that had engaged Shin these two were practically wrapped up like a mummy. White Class Pawns clearly stood no chance against Shin. Shiji could easily see that. Which was why she decided to up the ante a little. Normally she would have only sent in a single Yellow Knight, but given that the man had literally dispatched the pawn with almost no effort, she decided that two Yellow Knights were needed. Unlike the aggressive White Pawn that attacked without warning, these two seemed to have a bit of personality to them. Taking off their hat and glasses, the two tossed the items to the ground as they sized up Shin. Both their heads went up and down as they gauged him before they both begin to scoff at him and shrug slightly. Both raised their hands up to Shin and pointed at him before gesturing back to the neck and with their hands now making the thumbs up sign, moved their thumb across their neck. If it wasn't clear enough however. The two were taunting the man. They were confident in their victory and to add an extra element of mental anxiety to their opponent, they made sure to point to themselves and then opened their arms out towards the crowd. What did that mean exactly? Well, it meant quite simply. Even if you beat us, there are more of us. Everywhere. And that would be that last thing before they readied their attack. Rather than rush and attack him like last man had however, these two would take up a solid stance and slowly begin to approach the man as they moved into range. While this was happening, the third dummy that Nao had issued an order to had pushed itself past the crowd. This one differed from all the other minions that had appeared thus far. This one was a class above all those the people had seen presently. It was a mighty Green Bishop. This Bishop was well experienced and Nao didn't want any undue harm to befall the unlucky bystander. Which was why Nao told him to do two things. The first of which was to protect her. And the second was to usher her away. The Green Bishop would approach the girl from behind with several heavy footsteps. He wouldn't hide his presence as he approached and with a heavy hand would move to place it onto the girl's shoulder. It was meant to get the girl's attention... But who knew how she would handle it.~

“His grin seemed to say, “It is, for some strange reason, considered proper to congratulate people on such occasions as this.”Shin was the sort of man who was hard to surprise, due to his rather clear insanity that showed up onto the surface at times. Though, that being said, Shin admittedly, had not been expecting his attacker to simply...pop and explode into...particles of decorative metals and... paper... In his years of fighting, he had to say that it was a first where his opponent turned into some western party tricks. And that wasn't the end of them. It seemed...there were more of these faceless men, he could tell. And it wasn't like they seemed to be mindless puppets either, as they seemed to be trying to communicate with him, though whether or not they were doing this of their own accord or being controlled like Bunraku puppets, expressing their puppeteer's will was unclear. Was that...a taunt? Did they wish to cross swords with him? How JOYOUS!A smile, that started out slight blossomed on the man's slim lips as he watched the two yellow men. He wasn't too sure how or why he was being attacked, and by whom, but it was so, very, joyous! Mayhap, this was some sort of test? It was a rather odd invitation to duel but Shin didn't hate that, no, not at all! There was a possibility this person would be strong enough to serve, with the sort of honor, deserving of the loyalty he was simply dying to give someone. "Come, COME! I am sure this is not all you have, is it? IT CANNOT BE!" He shouted out into the air around him, his eyes glistening and his smile wide across his delicate features. He was sure the quirk user was around, they must be. He could see the two yellow men were getting ready to attack, he could tell from their stance. And at that moment, they suddenly moved at the same time, to which the black haired man reacted by pulling out what looked like a large dancing fan. A flick of his wrist opened it up, and with trained, graceful poise he twisted his wrist almost inhumanly in front of him, holding what appeared to be a dancing fan that had a painting of cherry blossoms that now faced his opponents.
"We shall dance until dawn, what say you?" He spoke to the air again as he watched the two yellow figured come towards him. At the right moment, a graceful but powerful sweep of his arm made the side of the fan hit the approaching men, one after the other and with a pair of satisfying popping sounds, both exploded into a mass of glitter and sparkles. That...wasn't satisfying enough. He needed more than that! Ofcourse, his Mai-Oogi wasn't any old dancing fan, it was in fact a Tessen war fan, an honorable weapon used even by Samurais of the old. It only looked harmless, but in fact it was mostly metal. "I have yet to even touch my katana, but I understand, we are drawing this out are we not, for art's sake!!" He carried on talking to the air, and for sure everyone thought this some kind of street performance with the theatrics going on and Shin's behavior. "Come, I need more, this is nowhere near enough!"

[attr="class","hiraeth"]黒い ウサギ | [attr="class","achee"] [attr="class","castleonthehill"] ❝ She was in this fight, no matter what the plans were before this.❞ What the…? Kiyoko blinked several times as the person she just kicked in the head popped like a confetti ball. More than likely this was the work of someone’s quirk. Stepping back for a moment she continued to idly take bites out of her snack while going over what had just happened. Looking around it was pretty clear that little stunt had drawn a crowd, though the atmosphere wasn’t one of a legitimate fight. She’d seen the kind of circle that forms around a real fight in this neighborhood and this wasn’t it. These people seemed more like the kind of crowds that would pop up around a good street performance. With the way that Akatsuki had reacted though he didn’t seem to be in on some kind of impromptu showdown to make a little extra cash.
As the other heavily covered… things emerged from the crowd the pieces fell into place. There had been some rumors going around of some new player on the scene. Someone who used this strange goons that exploded like party decorations when they took enough damage. Whoever this person was they obviously weren’t worried about making a scene. Given that the first attack completely ignored her they probably had some kind of beef with Akatsuki. And he was obviously enjoying this attention. If she was just a member of the passing crowd, or a complete idiot she might have even mistaken this for a street show herself, considering how theatrical his response was to these… okay they really need a name to call them. Minions. Yeah, that works.
Now the big question was what she would do now. This fight didn’t really involve her, if it had then she probably would have been attacked at the same time as Akatsuki had been. But she was basically in the middle of it now. Idly snacking on the last of her takoyaki she considered her options. That is until the decision was made for her. Whoever or whatever was coming up behind her was making it rather clear that it was coming. Finishing the last of her food Kiyoko held the two now vacant skewers in one hand, the other reaching into her pocket to grab the can of beer she had. Pulling out the beverage she gave it a few quick shakes before tossing it up and slightly to the side.
In one continuous motion Kiyoko side stepped as the footfalls behind her stopped, spinning on a single deft foot she brought the other one up as though going for a powerful kick. But with the new distance between her and this minion she obviously wasn’t going to connect. What she did connect with though was the can of beer as it was making its descent back towards the ground. The toe of her metal lined boot made contact with the flimsy aluminium can, making a decent sized puncture in the back of it. The pressurized contents did their job, creating enough thrust to shoot the can towards the head of the minion. It wouldn't really hurt that much, though if this one was as fragile as the first one then it might actually be a significant blow. However that didn’t matter, what mattered more was the message it sent. She was in this fight, no matter what the plans were before this.
Kiyoko could feel the grin coming to her lips. Out of the corner of her eye she caught what was going on with Akatsuki and the other two. She really began to hope that this wasn’t it. If the rumors she heard could be trusted then there would be more than just four of them. It had been a while since she had a good fight. It was slightly unfortunate that her identity wasn’t being disguised at the moment, but then again she doubted anyone would call the cops or heroes right now. After all, to them this wasn’t a real fight, just an interesting street performance. And so right now she wouldn’t be fighting as Black Rabbit but as herself.

Woooow.~
It was almost like a scene out a movie. The two Yellow Knights that had been posed to attack Shin moved in sync with one another. Once they were within proper range, they instantly launched themselves at the man with the intent to drop him to the ground. Unlike the White Pawn that had been dispatched earlier, these two were far much experienced. One planned to go low while the other went high and with their combined strength, they most likely figured that they could take the man down so long as they moved in such a way that the man couldn't respond properly. Or so had been the plan. How things played out was far different than they imagined though. The two Yellow Knights just weren't on the man's level. Moving with the grace of a butterfly, the man dispatched the two post haste. Behind him, the young woman he had been accompanying hadn't fared any worse. Throwing her can in the air, it acted almost as a prelude to the whole thing. The crowd seemed to watch the flying can with growing anticipation as the Yellow Knights had initially began to close in on Shin. By the time the can had returned to the small girl, Shin had just about begun his attack. Spinning in a rather smooth motion, the crowd erupted in awe as the girl's foot made contact with the can and sent the metallic object flying. The object had been further accelerated due to small puncture in it's side that the girl's strike had caused. The Green Bishop never stood a chance. Like with the crowd, his attention had been drawn to the can as he wondered what exactly the girl was doing. By the time it's eyes had returned to the girl, the can was already well on it's way to his face. Staggering backwards, the Green Bishop tried to raise it's hands to block the flying projectile but like mentioned before...it had reacted far too late. The can smacked the minion's with a loud bang as the impact caused another hole to be made in the can. The can losing a bit of it's kick due to now having two holes in it now flew harmlessly high up into the air as it spun wildly around. What few of it's liquids that remained inside of it was scattered in the air and rained gently down onto both the two fighters and the crowd. The can soaring into the air seemed to be accented by the simultaneous popping of all three minions at the same time. Unlike the first pop that had been witnessed before, these three pops were had far more of an oomph behind them. The amount of glitter and confetti inside these guys far exceeded what had been in the White Pawn and this time the pops had been so far reaching that everyone in the crowd would essentially be covered by the three minion's 'guts'. Naturally however, the people wouldn't think of it like that though.
Instead, it just made everything seem far more festive.
The crowd couldn't help but be impressed by how synchronized the whole 'act' had been and erupted in cheers and applause for the two 'performers'. Hell. It was even hard for Nao to keep her composure. With eyes that sparkled from behind her binoculars, Nao couldn't help but be impressed. Though taking out two of her Knights wasn't that impressive for someone of his supposed 'level', Nao still could appreciate a good show. Yet that aside, Nao was even more interested in the girl beside him. She had taken out one of her Bishops! In a spectacular fashion might she add! Nao was kind of disappointed in her minion for poofing after but a single attack but considering it had taken a practically full can launched straight into his face...well. She supposed she could forgive it. Nao doubted she could even handle a drop of the punishment these two were dishing out to her boys so it wouldn't have been fair to judge them too harshly. Anywho! Nao was genuinely excited at the promise these two seemed to show. Usually people didn't do so well during the tutorial level! But now was the time for her to see how they would deal with their first threats! ---------------------------------------------------------- From the cheering crowd emerged three more heavily clothed people. They stopped several meters away from Shin and Kiyoko and stood absolutely still with their arms crossed. Unlike the last people who came out to face the two, these guys looked a tad serious. Or so had been the case until they executed a rather peculiar maneuver. ...
..
. Why the fuck did her minions develop such weird personality quirks the longer they existed? Nao released a heavy sigh as she watched her minions shed their bodies of their clothes in a rather unorthodox fashion. Now standing buck naked in the middle of the crowd, the three men's colorful bodies glistened in the thanks to the various night lights that littered the area. Two of the men had ruby red bodies while the last one had a stunning sapphire body. The one with the blue body stood slightly in the back as he snapped one of his fingers and pointed at the two red boys and then motioned towards Shin and Kiyoko. With the orders issued, he took a short step back before folding his arms along his chest as he seemed to decide to let the four duke it out amongst themselves. The two Red Rooks who had glanced at the Blue Leader, nodded at the man before turning their sights back towards the two they were supposed to fight. The two seemed to communicate silently with one another before something seemed to break down between the two of them. One seemed to point at Kiyoko and then himself which seemed to cause a point of contention between them. The other quickly shook his head and then patted his chest twice with both hands before aggressively pointing at the small girl and seemingly telling the other man that she was his. Rook Two seemed slightly taken back for second before dropping his shoulders slightly and placing his head onto the shoulder of Rook One. Rook One cocked his head slightly in confusion as R.2. shook his head slowly and pointed at the ground behind Kiyoko. Leaning in slightly to look at what R.2. had pointed to, R.1. placed a hand over his mouth in shock as he realized what exactly R.2. wanted to show him. It....it was the corpse of the bishop. Turning his head quickly back towards R.2., R.1 was stunned as he saw R.2 had an arm over his eyes as though to hide his crying eyes. R.1. lowered his head slightly before thinking for a moment about what he should do. R.1 wasn't the best at these sort of things but even he knew of something he could do. Which was why he slowly took R.2. into a warm embrace and held the man tightly in his arms. And almost as though to go along with the moment the crowd collectively let out a soft 'awwwwwww'.
...
..
.
Nao on the other hand couldn't watch the scene any longer and placed her face in her hands as she once again had to ask herself.
Why the fucking hell did her minions develop personalities...?
.
..
... With their dispute settled, R.1. released R.2. and gave the man an understanding nod before turning to look at Kiyoko. Looking back at R.2., R.1. leaned in close to the man and seemed to tell him something or another. R.2. perking up seemed excited for a second as R.1. reached out and grabbed R.2.'s arm. What happened next was a bit sudden. Rook One did a fairly quick spin with Rook Two in tow. Treating the guy as essentially a trash bag, R.1. did one quick rotation before launching R.2. straight at Kiyoko. The moment he released his friend, he'd instantly take off towards Shin. Being that he'd watched how Shin had dispatched the other minions, Rook One didn't intend to be taken out so easily. He kept his body primed and ready for whatever Shin threw at him. However, if Shin didn't send out a strike that would have been fine too! Rook One intended to respect his fellow minions' wishes and though it wasn't the way he usually fought, he planned to tackle the man at the waist and take him down to the ground so that he could pound in his smug prick face!

A wide smile played on the Villain's lips when more of these curious men pushed themselves forward, were they joining the fray! His eyes studied the red bodies, not batting an eyelid at how bizarre his opponents were. Oh, so they had sentiment? How curious. So killing these were, like freeing a normal human from their mortal body... it was rather interesting when one thought of it in this way. It made Shin want to know more and more about the quirk user, the person behind all this. What was their aim? Was it to test him? Possibly. But why? What were their aims? Goals? Where they worthy to be served?
"Sato-han, I think we have more visitors..." He said glancing over at the young girl, joy clearly in his eyes. It wasn't because of the harmless looking nature of these men that he was happy- in fact, he may have found it more interesting if they were all quirk user humans, when everything was this happy and light it felt a little less threatening, which was a shame. Shin enjoyed that indescribable sensation that was exchanged between two people when they knew one would die in the fight- to be honest, if only someone could make him feel that way and be able to suress him and feel it worthy that he should live... ...he would serve them until one or the other died. But alas, no such suitor had arrived yet so he was simply a maiden longing for something that may not even exist. One day, he always told himself. What if that day was today? He knew he shouldn't be excited, he knew he shouldn't have hope in his heart, as when it was betrayed it would hurt, it always did... but... He simply COULDN'T contain his excitement!!One may say this was why he got so disappointed, so disappointed that he killed potential masters in the selection process all the time earning him his involuntary villain name, but how could anyone tell Shin not to get excited? The biggest thrill in life was the moment one DIES!He kept his eyes trained on the two red figures as one threw the other into the young girl he knew as Sato, and held his stance to see how he would attack, if any. Now, from what he noticed, observed, these things were getting more and more considerable in strength, so to speak, which was another thrilling gimmick to this show. The first one exploded with simply a stamp to the head by a young girl- next ones, he did feel a decent amount of resistance against his tessen when he cut them. So, then the next ones should be something he should use a sword for. But the question was, which?? If he used "Giri", his tachi, his loyalty, it may hit onlookers as it was rather large and that would not do, there was no need to spill innocent blood over any fight. No, he would have to simply wait until the thing was close enough... And at the right moment, Shin pulled out his tanto, "Ninjo", piercing the being with his honor where the heart would be with the short blade with an elaborate flair.
