(The Mika/Ryuu/Leon thread. LOL)
"Annnnnnd we are DONE FOR TODAY! Whooo!"
Mikaku cheered happily (and rather unprofessionally) as they handed the last of the documents in to the office in question. Honestly, why TWO of them had to PERSONALLY deliver documents all the way from Shinjuku to Umeda was something beyond the third year's understanding. Oh well, it just meant a free overnight mini trip, all expenses paid (not that money was much of an issue for Mikaku but that wasn't the point.) AND he got to spend more time with his BFF so it was all good!
Of course the said BFF was clearly not as thrilled to have to spend over 24 hours with him but he knew the black haired teen was just being shy really. Yep, totally. This was totally grunt work, reserved for interns like them and that was probably why they had been sent but positive thinking was key! And for Mikaku, to be honest having an excuse to be out of the office and not even patrolling was extremely favorable to professional slackers like himself.
"Hey, hey, Ryuutan, where shall we go for dinner~? What do you fancy? And before you reply with: 'I'm going to just eat something from the conbini in the hotel room.'- That's vetoed, alright? Cos if you do that, I'll just bring the dining experience to the room instead and you'll regret it."
He grinned as they walked towards the elevator. Ryuusei would know he was being super serious about that so he knew the threat would work. The place was a huge office block, 100 floors high and they were on the 99th floor. For once he was wearing a suit and looking like a responsible member of society... or something like that. He couldn't wait to go back to the hotel room and change, he REALLY HATED SUITS... it just reminded him of social dinners he was forced to attend all the time when he was younger and he absolutely hated those because everyone attending them were so damn scary, they were all snakes and vultures with fake poisonous smiles and hidden motives.

What a punishment.
Ryuusei's supervisor must have been real sadistic to have sent the two on such an errand. Considering the aftermath of their investigation in the abandoned building, Ryuusei and Mika were still paying the price. The two had been straddled with all sorts of various tasks that normally wouldn't have required their attention. Well it was mostly Ryuusei was straddled with the tasks to be honest. When they had reported back to their agency, the two had been grilled about their injuries. Ryuusei looked really bad considering their assignment was supposed to be routine at best yet given that the two refused to go into detail the agency had been forced to launch it's own official investigation at the scene. As for the details into that well...that was another story. The point of all this was however was that Ryuusei took full responsibility for the incident. The higher ups at the agency weren't sure how they were supposed to handle the incident but nothing really came of it. Which was a bit odd. Ryuusei half expected to be put on probation for acting out of line and refusing to speak yet given that no 'official' punishment had been handed down it almost seemed as though they had nothing on him. That in and of itself was weird yet the agency wouldn't let the young psychic off the hook that easily. Which is what led the two boys here on their trip. Ryuusei's superiors were likely sadistic due to the fact that they sent the two of them here. Ryuu's general dislike for Mika was widely known. Hence what better way to punish the man than to set him up on an inconsequential trip like this and have Mika accompany him.
Had Ryuusei received this punishment prior to the 'Building Incident', well he might have been a bit sour. Yet Mika was the real MVP during those events and Ryuusei couldn't help but warm up towards the guy slightly. Don't get him wrong though. Ryuusei still had plenty of distaste for the lukewarm guy but Dooky had at least shown that when push came to shove he could come through for ya. It had caused Ryuusei to develop just the slightest bit of respect for the guy. Not that he'd ever tell him that personally of course. He could hardly stand the guy's eccentric ways already and to feed into his personality like that would have made the man even more unbearable.
These thoughts and more ran through his mind as he walked along Mika in the hallway. Hearing the man's words, Ryuusei mouth moved ever so slightly as his sharp eyes glanced at Mika. It was almost like the man had read his mind at what he was going to suggest. He wouldn't stay anything however as he let out a slight sigh. Remembering the events they had just gone through not too long ago, Ryuusei supposed it was okay to humor the man every once in awhile. Which was instead of a rather curt reply, Ryuusei actually responded in something people would call a full sentence. "Fine fine. I suppose since we're actually finished with the job we can actually kick back for once."
"So what are you in the mood for?" Ryuusei said in a rather disinterested voice as the two approached the elevator. Pressing the button to call it up, Ryuusei heard the rustling of some feet behind him and casually took a glance at another approaching man. Not really seeing anything too eye catching about the individual, Ryuusei turned back towards Mika as he awaited the man's reply.

So this was the place, huh? Leon let out a low whistle as he glanced up at the towering structure, taking a second to double check the address on his phone before turning his motorcycle into loop that lead to the skyscraper's entrance. As he rolled up near the door and stopped the bike, a security guard appeared from within and walked up, giving him a look. It was obvious what he wanted to ask; some scruffy kid in a long coat pulls up to a big office with a sport bike, what the hell reason could he possibly have for being there, right? Leon pulled off his helmet and shook out his hair before giving the man his best smile. "Evening Sir, I've got a delivery here for a..." He reached behind to where a package was strapped onto the back of the motorcycle and pulled a clipboard out from under the fasteners. "... Mr. Saito?"
He handed the clipboard over to the guard and the man quickly glanced over the order form to verify the kid's claim. After a moment he glanced up with a look that was still rather guarded, and gave Leon a nod. "You've got quite the climb, better park off to the side so your bike doesn't get in the way." Leon took the clipboard back and tucked it under his arm then gave the security man a friendly nod. "Yes sir, will do." He confirmed as he hit the gas and started forward again. It was a good thing that he looked just old enough that no one ever asked to see his licence, that was always a potential issue. He did as instructed and moved his bike well out of the way of any pick-up traffic before parking. Casually hanging his helmet off the handlebars, he took his time unstrapping the package and then made his way inside. "99th floor, geez..." He mumbled to himself as he looked over the delivery instructions once again and pressed the button to call the elevator.
As out of place as someone like him seemed in an office building, the truth of the matter was far more confounding than most of the people there would ever know. Leon's normal employment was... not within the social norms of society, yeah, let's go with that. But he could only partake in that line of work when there was actually a job to be done, and when there wasn't anything on the board he had a slightly more acceptable profession to fall back on. A freelance courier service, so to speak, one that got parcels from point A to point B fast, and with no questions asked as long as the check went through. Most of the time it was understood that this sort of job dealt with some grey legal areas, and so business tended to consist of going from one seedy location to another. Every now and then however, he got called in to places like this where he just stuck out like a sore thumb. Oh well, they usually paid pretty well for these more 'official' jobs anyway, what harm were a few odd looks going to do?
Stepping into the elevator, Leon began his rather lengthy ascent up the building, soon figuring out why the security guard told him to park off to the side. The thing stopped every few floors on the way up as people moved from one department to another, and he swore it took almost fifteen minutes for him to get where he was going. It felt that way at the very least. When the door finally opened for the last time, he almost missed it, slipping out just before the doors closed when he realized he was at his destination.
After that, this was the easy part. Walking up to the front desk receptionist, Leon once again put on his best smile. "Package for Mr Saito." The woman sitting on the other side was pretty cute, and strangely enough she didn't give him the normal, almost disgusted look when she looked up at him, just a warm expression of her own. "You're from Tempest Shipping, right? You guys really are fast." Leon chuckled as he handed over the box and the order form. They always assumed that there were more people working at the 'company' than just him. "Yes ma'am, we do our best. You mind signing here?" He checked the time as she did what he asked. Less than an hour had passed since the call went out, not bad at all... He took the clipboard back and gave a small bow. "If you have any more orders in the future, you know how to find us. Have a good evening, miss." That got him another smile and a bow in return. Huh, almost made up for having to put up with all the other snobs in this place... almost.
With his business concluded, Leon made his way back over to the elevators to find two guys about his age waiting around by the doors. One of them glanced his was as he approached, but didn't seem to really pay him any mind. Well, that was better than the normal response he'd been getting. He couldn't help but overhear them talking about plans for dinner. That probably wasn't a bad idea actually, he hadn't eaten yet and there were a few places not too far out that actually tolerated him enough not to turn him away at the door... a pretty rare thing when it came to his appetite.

Mikaku blinked at hearing the words that came out of the other male’s lips. Wait. What?… He had FULLY been expecting himself to be told where to shove it (in Ryuusei’s words, ofcourse.) so it was a big surprise. Not that he was complaining or anything! Just… “...Ryuutan, I’ve been wondering…” The silver haired teen started to say as the elevator came to to their floor and the door slid open. “...did you...possibly hit your head really hard the other week? Like...so hard you had a personality change? ...orrrrr~ have you finally come to terms with the fact I am absolutely irresistible and there’s no point in fighting the fatal attraction to me anymore?” He asked with the most serious face in the world, though his tone was anything but. It was in his best dramatic voice over voice he had learned from doing adverts. The look on the hero to be’s face was worth everything, though. He probably shouldn’t be poking fun at the guy when he was actually trying to be nice, but well..that was simply how Mikaku Dokumi rolled. Maybe he was just an emotional masochist who liked verbal SM. Who knows! He sure didn’t! ...But it just felt weird to have a sort of...normal conversation with the other male, as if they were actually...friends. Sure, most people would have said if you spend time with each other for over 2 years, you would think the said two people would consider themselves friends with each other. But in Mikaku’s case, that kind of thing was complicated. Probably, way more complicated than it ever should or had to be, and he was still trying to come to terms with the fact HE, the professional (as well as the other thing he was a pro at mentioned earlier) fairweather friend may actually have formed a stronger bond than that with someone and he had not even realised it till...uhh… last week. So maye his teasing was going a little over regular levels to cover up for the strange awkwardness of the situation he was not fully equipped to be handling.
Maybe.“Hahahaha I’m playing, j-k j-k~ Mmmmm...I dunno though, I KNOW! I want Yakiniku. You know ummmm… those cheap eat as much as you like places. I’ve never been to those!” That was the sort of place people went with their friends to, right? He had heard about it, but as he only ever dined at expensive places usually as it was only for dates or work meals or on his own (where “Yakiniku” meant a 50,000 yen wagyu set.) and he had never had actual real friends before who he would go for meals together with, he actually didn’t know what was the norm beyond hot read guesses. “Like...those places were it costs like… 3,999 yen or something like that. That’s the kind of places you go with your male friends...right~??” For the record, that wasn’t really a cheap place, but a rich boy like Mikaku wouldn’t know this, for the reasons stated prior and he sounded pretty pleased with himself for being able to come up with a suitable place. As the doors of the lift slid closed and it started to descend, Mikaku finally noticed there was someone else in there with them. A guy who clearly didn’t look like a corporate slave like they did, but more a delivery slave! Well hey, they all had it tough huh? He gave a small bob of the head in greeting when their eyes met. “But mannn~ It’s been so long since I’ve been to Osaka!!” Mikaku said as he stretched out his arms with a whine. “ I WANNA BE FREED FROM THIS SUIT!!! HOW DO YOU WEAR ONE ALL THE TIME, RYUUTAN??? IS THAT YOUR ACTUAL QUIRK??”
