8:30 During the proceeding announcement, the students all received separate messages in regards to the incident taking place. Doctor Yori Shisutemu gave them a briefing, and in that briefing, two things were made clear. The campus had three bombs tied to it. And that they were allowed to engage hostiles. Which meant. Which meant one thing. There were hostiles to engage. The next thirty minutes would be some of the most tense, with the realization that what they were here at UA for to begin with had not intended to wait on them. While the good doctor also gave allowance to go after the bombs, it became exceedingly clear that they needed the help; even that of the not-quite-yet young heroes. They began to plan within the confines of the music room, even if some would arrive late. One after another, they stayed in that giant group to figure out their plans. After a quick deciphering of the doctor's words before his silence, the group decided to split up into two groups of five. One group for the theater and one to the cafeteria. Mikaku Dokumi , Ren Wolff , Isamu Suzuki , Ryuusei Himura , and Jon Lafayette were the cafeteria group. As they shuffled in through the door near the food counter, they would notice the lights were off mostly. The vending machines were still running nearby, and there was a new tension in the cold, cold air. Likely because, they were not alone. Black Rabbit , a deathly pale... girl(?) dressed in a U.A. uniform, and a group of six yellow masked, yellow-skinned, and three green-masked, green-skinned thugs were were in waiting for the young heroes. The thugs knew their assigned task; defend the bomb at all costs. Luckily for them, they knew how to do just that. The minions all got up from their seats at the cafeteria tables, and wordlessly stared down the five young heroes. And so the opening act begins.

[attr="class","hiraeth"]黒い ウサギ | [attr="class","achee"] [attr="class","castleonthehill"] ❝ A bunch of kids, students. Looks like they don’t have any real heroes around this late at night.❞ The room was pretty dark, with the only light coming from the three vending machines and the natural glow from outside seeping in through the windows. By the time Black Rabbit walked in it seemed like the rest of her backup was already there. That one slightly unhinged character she had been communicating with and a few of those minion things she had kicked the crap out of not that long ago. It was kind of funny that she was now working with them rather than fighting them, but that had been Kiyoko who had done that and not Black Rabbit.
“Yo. So this where the party’s at?” she asked, walking in as casually as though she properly belonged there. Getting this far had been surprisingly easier than she had expected it to be. You'd think that a place like this would have better security. But if someone could sneak a darn bomb into the school then a few villains wasn’t that much of a far stretch.
Turning to face the glowing vending machines Black Rabbit approached the machines, looking over the options they had on sale. Considering there wasn’t really anyone here to fight yet she pondered grabbing a snack or a drink. Though that would require adjusting the black medical mask that was covering her face, not exactly something she wanted to do even in front of those she was working with. Oh well.
Going over to the rest of the hired help she sat herself on the edge of the table. Now it was just a waiting game. Supposedly they knew that the bomb was in here, at least that’s the entire point that they’re supposed to. It’s like a game. Now if it were just the minions here then it wouldn’t be that difficult, but with Black Rabbit and another actual villain here then it would take a couple pro heroes to actually be a serious threat.
Eventually the doors opened and a new group came in. Finally some action. Turning to face their guests she couldn’t help but sigh at what she saw. A bunch of kids, students. Looks like they don’t have any real heroes around this late at night. And here she was hoping for a real fight. Guess tonight was going to be full of disappointments. If nothing else she could blow off a little steam by showing these wannabe heroes their place.
“Alright kiddies, here’s the deal! I got one of your fellow students over here. You got two options. First you can turn around and go get some real heroes to fight me and my associates here. Or, if you’re feeling extra stupid, you can try and fight. But if you do I’mma snap this hostage’s neck, and then make each and every one of you seriously question your career choice.” Black Rabbit said, a small smirk on her face below her mask. She wondered if they would actually buy it and hesitate from fighting. At the same time though she did want to see if UA lived up to its reputation. Five of them might actually be worthy of her giving them a little bit of attention.

[googlefont="Courgette"] I'm a brain fluid explosion girl Psycho Cure had never wanted to be a hero. To be honest, with her quirk she probably could have, but her life story wasn’t some sob story about a promising hero’s tragic fall from grace. Having such a strange physiology where she aged so, so slowly that it took a good 30 years for her to reach puberty, time seemed to crawl and the biggest tragedy in life that she suffered from since forever was boredom. Constant. Unrelenting. BOREDOM.
And to release herself from the said state of mind, she would constantly try new things. And those “new things” simply escalated steadily in nature from the mundane to the adventurous to the extreme and here we are now. The result of her efforts to break free from her certain fate of being perpetually bored had given birth to her current situation, where she was finally going to (hopefully) meet her baby for the first time since she sold him!! This was a rather exciting turn of events, admittedly. … Oh, and also she was taking part in some “Bomb + U.A + trolling = profit” plot of some kind. But that was secondary!! She was so excited that she really had to give herself credit for the A++ acting she was putting on right now, her eyes covered by a black “blindfold” (actually it was semi transparent not that anyone could tell hehe♥) and the other villain girl pressed up against her back, an arm around her neck to “keep her still”. It was like one of those cliche hostage situations in dramas! As much as she never wanted to be a hero, she did want to wear the uniform at least once! And that dream came true too! What a great day! Now if only she could luckily meet her baby boy too here… As she saw the students walk in to the cafeteria, she let out a loud sob, followed by scared whimpers as her eyes scanned the figures filing in, damn, it was a little too dark and with this filter it was hard to see who was there... “P...please help me...someone...I don’t want to die!!”Dressed in the U.A school uniform and her pale, silvery white hair in twintails, thigh high black socks, uniform skirt a touch too short just so one can see her S rank zettai ryouiki, complete with cute glossed pink lips, she looked like she very much could be any of the 3,000+ students attending this school. Her slender and petite form atleast worked for stuff like this! It was a pain when trying to intimidate big burly villains though, but hey most people in the circuit knew of the 7th most wanted, charismatic eternal high school girl, Psycho Cure enough not to want to mess with her...well the ones with even half a brain did, anway. Lifting her head up a little as if she just noticed the footsteps, she frantically squirmed and cried out to the students. “I-is someone there? Help me!! PLEASE!!!”LETS HAVE SOME FUN GUYS!

Post by Isamu Suzuki on Mar 27, 2019 4:46:46 GMT
Isamu had been trying to work a pet projects in his dorm when suddenly his phone beeped out an alert. It was one that he had heard so infrequently since setting it up that he could not remember what it was for, and by the time that he had reacted, it was too late. His phone was displaying some kind of… bizarre message.
“Grr… Okay, whoever did this is going to pay. Nobody messes with my phone…” Wifi or cellular. It was honestly hard to decide which was the more likely. Cell phone communications were supposed to be encrypted, and U.A.’s networking should have been robust. Then again, if this went out to everyone in Musutafu, then cellular would hit everyone in one fell stroke… Though then you had all of the different makes and models… Either way, it was a messy, complicated problem.
Problems for later. Get some data. Record what you can while it’s in action so it can be analyzed later for clues. He tried to fight with his phone to get some control over it, to break out of the announcement, anything. Wait, what was that about a— he looked out into the city just in time to see a giant flash of light, whiskers twitching and ears perked as he felt the rumble of the explosion travel in the air and through the earth, putting his phone down to stare.
“Oh shit…”
He sat there, in silence, as the rest of the message played out, and the strange A logo faded from view.
Right. First thing, secure the phone. He turned off the cellular and wifi, running a few different scans and checks for anything still residing or lurking around. Nothing seemed out of place. He saved off a copy of the logs and date to be analyzed later and took his phone back online. The chat was blowing up with lots of questions and… bombs on campus. That was… troubling. He posted that he would be rendezvousing with the others and quickly stuffed his laptop and a small toolkit into his backpack, taking off into the night. It was late, but the hour wasn’t really a hinderance to his eyes, and he was familiar enough with U.A.’s layout now to take all the shortcuts he needed. He stole into the workshops, retrieving his gear and slipping it on. With villains afoot, well… he needed all the help he could get. After that it was off to meet up in the music room to talk and plan.
3 bombs on campus. And hostiles to boot. And manpower stretched so thin the teachers had given them permission to engage hostiles, and many of the teachers had had to leave U.A. to help the city. The more and more Isamu heard and learned the more he wondered at the resources and craftiness required to pull such a large operation off successfully. The gathered students had planned and conversed and split up into two groups. One headed to the theater and the other the cafeteria.
And so he had found himself approaching the cafeteria with a group of 3 third-years and one of his fellow 1-A classmates. He slipped ahead, stealthily approaching the door and sniffing around for clues. There were a lot of secent trails here, naturally, but most of them were a little bit older… There were two, no… three? No, that wasn’t quite it… and there was definitely something artificial he couldn’t quite identify that had to be the bomb.
He returned to the others, speaking in a low, hushed voice. “I’ve picked up at least three scent trails, but one of them is strange. It’s almost like… one of them has been in and out of the room a lot recently, or that there’s several identical scent trails, which shouldn’t be possible. Oh, and I think I smell something that might be the bomb, but I’m not sure. I didn’t see any traps or gimmicks on the door.” Aside from doing his parts to do what minimal surveillance they had time for, he paused, waiting for the more experienced third-years to take the lead on things. Hopefully with them in the mix, this would go much better than 1-A’s first quick control class had gone.

Well, this evening had gotten interesting fast. Ren had been in the middle of his shift at the restaurant when everyone's phone went off at the same time. The same message went out to everyone; a threat, and a challenge to overcome it, followed by proof that the whole thing wasn't just some hollow gesture. Needless to say, the inside of the ramen shop got a bit chaotic when that first bomb went off, only half a dozen blocks away, and the panicked customers soon vacated the premises in hopes of finding a safer shelter. Viktor gave the boy only a single, serious look and waved him out. "Go home kid, we're closing up for night." Ren, eager to get back and check in with his classmates, didn't ask any questions and did as he was told, though he could have sworn that he saw the boss pulling up one of the floorboards in the back as he left...
Weird.
The school wasn't that far away from the shop, only a few blocks, but getting there meant navigating the confused masses of people and the hastily constructed police barricades that had formed up around the site of the first bomb. In the mean time, the call had gone out that they were allowed to act even without their licenses in response to the evolving situation.... which meant that they wouldn't just be sitting on their hands, but was still never a good sign either way. When the students decided to meet up and plan in the music room, Ren was among the last to arrive before they got down to business. There were supposedly three bombs within the school, and although sticking together was likely the safest option, splitting into two groups gave them a better chance at finding the explosives in time.
Ren and Isamu had been put into the second group, with a number of third years that helped give their team a bit more knowledge and experience to work with. That was definitely a good thing, since, although he wanted to help out as much as he could, Ren wasn't entirely sure how he'd be doing that in this situation. As a result, while Isamu had moved forward to act as their scout on the way to the cafeteria, Ren fell in line at the rear of the group to keep an eye on the path behind them and wait to support his seniors when the time came.

Walking in the middle of the pack, Ryuusei's stoic expression suited the situation. Once the first bomb had gone off, information had been disseminated rather quickly thanks to Dr. Yori. Groups had been assigned rather fast and their general task had been the find and disarm any bomb they happened to stumble upon. Given their general lack of information however this proved to be a gargantuan task considering the sheer size of the campus. Thus everyone had been spread thin and tasked to comb certain areas. Ryuusei's group had been tasked with the cafeteria. The young psychic managed to Rendezvous with the rest of his team while on his way to their assigned area. Of the five, he recognized two. Setting eyes on the fourth member, Ryuusei took note of his feline companion and simply nodded as the boy advised them of several scents in the area. The fifth member was another first-year who he hadn't had the pleasure of knowing but he seemed to bring up the rear which was probably best for the the time being. Considering the black cat could probably tell scents apart amidst the smorgasbord that likely existed, Ryuusei was already on guard. Given that he felt personally responsible for the safety of everyone assigned to the group, he didn't want the two to arbitrarily place themselves into too much danger. Stepping into the Cafeteria, Ryuusei eyes quickly took stock of the situation. Darting from person to person, Ryuusei saw quite a few different things. A bunch of guys standing around...likely the muscle. A girl sitting on the edge of a table...likely the brains. And someone who was bound and blindfolded...likely a hostage. Upon seeing their arrival, the girl on the table laid out two options for them. Glancing again at the hostage before moving his eyes back towards 'The Brains', Ryuusei quickly weighed his options before coming to a decision. It likely wasn't one that his teammates would have liked, especially considering the hostage seemed to be in quite a bit of distress, but considering the situation, it was the best one. Besides.
Ryuusei didn't negotiate with Villains. "Disregard the hostage." Ryuusei said coldly in a quiet voice as his eyes shifted towards his teammates beside him. Given that it was their general battle strategy it would have been REALLY dumb to let the enemy overhear it. "We're already at a disadvantage being outnumbered and on a time limit. That girl is a U.A. student as well. She understood the risks that came associated with this job. We lay our lives down on this job so that society doesn't have to. Also, regardless whether we comply or not she is already likely dead. Thus we cannot afford to remain idle.""We should engage and try to overwhelm them as best we can initially. If the hostage happens to harmed in the process...well we have a medic here to tend to them if we're successful. Otherwise we're simply tying our hands and might as well be standing here with our thumbs up our butts." Ryuusei stated as calmly to the rest of the group. "I believe that option to be the best course of action...." "Unless of course...someone else has a better idea." He added opening up the discussion to the rest of the squad. Naturally, they didn't have much time to talk about the matter but given that five heads were better than one and that he would likely need help versus the numerous opponents here, taking things into his own hands here simply wasn't an option.

Having seen the video on his smartphone, Mikaku guessed he was lucky he had a night off that day. Immediately after his driver messaged him saying he would be outside his apartment soon- have to give it to that man, Matssun was always a lifesaver!! Changing into his hero costume (it was a little OOT, but it was necessary, as his chemicals and the like were far better accessible in this outfit...) he hopped into his car and asked his driver to take him to U.A, all while tapping away on his phone and chatting to the other students via the student chat. He had been rather shocked to find the front gate unlocked, but well, actually he had once before found the front gate in this state back in 1st year. But that time, it as only open for 2 minutes and it caused a public outrage. Well, it was all free to enter now! Though he supposed there were worse things out there right now than the front gate being wide open. Oh, and the dorms entrances too. No hacked key card needed this time! He had first made his way to the third year dorms, finding Ryuusei was well into his “hero-work” mode, of course he would be. He supposed he should help out too, and just made sure no one was hurt yet before making his way to the meeting spot as stated by the chat. There they split off into the groups they were in now, Jon appeared at some point (He hadn’t seen them in the dorms so...god knows where they were before that…) and he was with two cute first years and Ryuusei. Once they entered the cafeteria, his eyes went to the girl and the villain behind her, who from her voice he assumed it was a girl also. Who was...that girl? Her face was partially covered so of course, Mikaku couldn’t say for sure but… he was around 70% sure he had never seen this girl before, and she looked more like a 2nd or 3rd year from her physique… maybe a gen ed student? But he knew everyone in gen ed too… Not voicing his thoughts, he looked over at Ryuusei as he started to talk. He was correct, as in logically it was the correct choice but it wasn’t… textbook. Far from it. Textbook was to do a hostage negotiation, specially with how inexperienced their team was, a hostile take down was far more likely to go amazingly wrong. But then he kind of expected Ryuusei to come up with that kind of strat, specially recently the other teen had become… a little extreme at times with his ideas. “Uhhh… I don’t think that girl is in a hero class. Pretty sure she’s gen ed if anything…” Mikaku added quietly when Ryuusei pointed out she was prepared for this. Though he supposed he was just support, his main role was to not get injured and help heroes do their thing. “But I guess I’ll leave the strat to you heroes, I’m just the heal slut~ I’ll support whatever you guys choose~! Just chill a little though, Ryuutan.” He patted his friend on the shoulder. Some may say his tone was a little too casual, but well, was there any point on everyone acting all serious? “O..oh yeah Ren-chan… here.” He took a small vital out of his side bag and pushed it towards the blonde. “I finally made it consumable for normal people~ Remember our little conversation about your body and how I'd think of a way to make it feel better? If you need it, use it.” The third year whispered with a wink. Took a while to make something legally sound for teenagers to take to be honest… If Ren takes this tonic, it will delay drawbacks due to the cold by 1 post.

Post by Jon Lafayette on Mar 28, 2019 23:36:34 GMT
“I thought you wanted to work on your assignment?” “I do.” Came the cheeky reply though the darkness, and Jon grinned unseen despite the low light that filtered through their bedroom’s curtains, giving off just enough to make out the shape of their bed and the third year student sitting on it. “But we’ve been at this for awhile and thought we were,” a mischievous pause, “overdue for a break.” Finger pressed against the light switch they’d flicked off, Jon waited for an acknowledgement, ready to turn the light back on and get back to work if they even suspected a hint of a no. There was a soft ruffle of bedding as the lavender haired woman turned to face them and they could only imagine the amused roll of eyes as she gave an soft hum. “Did you really want to work on coursework or make out under the guise of it?” “Little of column A, little of column B.” Jon shrugged, bereft of their school jacket. After class, they’d donned a black baseball jersey shirt that proudly proclaimed the wearer was Team Droid. They hadn’t bothered to change the rest of their uniform. Too much work, especially if it was going to end up on the floor later. “Kaana?” Jon asked openly. It wasn’t the first time the two had gotten together for a little study time. Kaana was sweet and easy on the eyes and could actually stomach the green haired teen’s idiocy. It’d been a physical thing between, nothing too deep or meaningful. That hadn’t been what either of them were looking for. A strictly classmates with benefits relationship and that suited them both fine. “Jon?” She returned with the same inflection and Jon turned to flick the light back on, already debating if they’d be ready for next week’s math test if they buckled down for a few more hours. “Well, don’t keep me waiting.” They paused, another smile bubbling forth. “Yes, ma’am.” Navigating their way to their bed, Jon only banged their foot against the post once, stumbled and let out a low curse as they all but collapsed atop of the bed beside Kaana. A hand came up to steady them, her laughter not unkind. “Smooth,” Kaana giggled. “Like chunky peanut butter.” Heat spread across their cheeks, too dark to see and Jon scooted forward, brushing knees with their classmate. They let the teen draw her hand down their arm, pausing at their forearm and knew she’d catch it. “What happened here?” Fingers slid against the bandage before drifting further to curl gently in the open palm. “Would you believe a rabid squirrel monkey bite me,” Jon murmured, tucking a silken lock of lavender over a pointed ear and let the soft scent of perfume wash over them. It was something flowery but not too sweet and entirely addictive. They leaned forward to ghost lips against the soft curve of her jawline, trailing down until they rested against the fluttering pulse at the crook of her neck. The soft huff tickled their cheek as they nuzzled gently, enjoying the floral fragrance. “What about just an angry squirrel I disturbed during a training exercise?” “That I believe.” Kaana pulled the hand they were holding to their side, pressing it firmly to make sure Jon understood to keep it there. The loss of power went unnoticed of the two already in the dark, their attention focused on the closeness of one another. The low thrum of rain was a tinny backdrop against the quiet buzz of the dorm rooms. “It’s nothing serious.” Jon trailed back up, catching fingers at the nape of the teen’s neck and leisurely drew them closer until they were a hairsbreadth apart. “just part of the job.” Ignoring the buzz of their phone in their pocket, they pressed their mouth against the corner of soft upturned lips and nearly head butted them when they jumped at the loud, monotone voice that echoed from their pocket. “The hell,” Jon muttered, irritation edging into their voice as they sat back and dug into their pocket. “Sorry, let me turn this o…” Trailing off, Jon stared at the single white A on the blank screen of their phone and Kaana leaned forward to see, both falling silent as the message was relayed. The first rumble sent the girl into their arms; the lights overhead jangled quietly and the glass cup Jon had on their desk rattled the pencils and pens tucked in it. When the trembling faded, Jon stood to look out their window, seeing nothing but darkness but there was already the faint smell of fire in the air. Fingers clutched at the frame, digging in as their stomach twisted. ‘My sister, she’s a first year in the gen ed building.” Kaana twisted their hands in their lap. “She was suppose to be back in the dorms but I know her. I have to-” “Go.” Jon said, nodding as they glanced at their blank phone, swiping a thumb across the front to bring up the menu. No service, no net, there was use calling anyone but they still hit the last number they called and got nothing in response. “Go get her, but be careful and stay with people you know. Try and find a teacher okay?” If they didn’t know any better, that sounded almost down right helpful. Dragonball would so proud, Jon might even get a cool look out of it. When Kaana nodded and stood, running hands down the front of their skirt to smooth it down, Jon strolled back to her, caught her uniform by the shoulder and pulled her into a hug. “Are you going to be okay on your own?” The delayed nod wasn’t exactly reassuring and Jon selfishly sank into the floral scent, already decided they were going accompany them back to the General Education building. They could swing by and grab their gear on the way back. “Yeah, okay, no, I’m coming with you.” There was no time to dwell on it, Jon pulled up the school’s chat app, happy that at least worked and was able to scroll through what they’d missed as they followed behind the teen. The teen paused, wordlessly before letting them fall in beside them, quickly moving through the halls. Jon grumbled half heartedly about having to jog to keep up but they made quick work, running across a few other students, frightened looks scattered about. “Hey, if I save the day,” Jonny said, quickly tapping in a message on the student chat that were going to grab their stuff and be on their way to the music room. “does that earn me more then second base?” They nearly collided into the teenager, missing they had stopped and stepped back awkwardly to keep their balance. Kaana whirled around and cupped Jon’s face between warm hands and bent to press a kiss to parted lips. She was taller than Jon and they had to stand on tiptop to not make it so awkward, a hand pressed against the one against their cheek. There was the taste of mint and cherries before she drew back, leaving Jon flushed at the impromptu make out. “Play your cards right and you might even get to take me out on a date.” “Well, merde.” Jon chuckled. “Guess I gotta save the school now.” “Kaana!” A young voice cut across the halls and both turned to see a younger looking student with lavender hair running toward the two. Jon took it as her sister and the two departed swiftly, no goodbyes or second looks and Jon booked it toward the locker rooms. *** I’ll never kiss and tell. Jon tapped one last time into the chat app before closing their phone as they readjusted their harness, settling the weight of their quiver so it was evenly distributed against their lower back. They were late, like always. Even in the most dire of situations, Jon had a reputation for being tardy to the party and the locker rooms where their uniform and gear was stored was empty and silent. It was better that way, no need to worry about getting undressed in front of the others. Shoving their phone into a pouch, Jon grabbed their jacket and swung it over their shoulder and headed out. The uneven footfalls, quieted by the carpet helped focus them, they were in good physical shape tonight with hardly any hidden aches and pains outside of the normal. The liner of their running blade fit like a glove and that was honestly the best they were hoping for, meant there wouldn’t be any extra space to slippage. No one was going to let them call time out to fix it. Jon had been stuck on a name for their blade, something they labored over for months. It was a toss up between Éowyn and Barda and was extremely important Dragonball, thank you very much. And it’d been that thought that was interrupted when they entered the music room, the good doctor already going over te briefing. Jon had read the message they’d been sent and had a better idea of what was going on. It was enough to shake the faith in a school built for this, but Jon’s grin never wavered and they even tossed a quick kiss to their fellow third years before falling into the group’s departure. Isamu laid out a quick basic idea of smells and scents and Jon hummed. “Remind me to hit you up to check my closet next time, there’s this weird cottage cheese smell that I can’t find.” They paused half a second in the doorway, catching sight of the villainous group. “Can we all not shuffle in one door with our dick in hand?” It was a little too late for that as Jon drifted from the middle of the group to the front. Drawing a hand behind their back to cycle through the quiver’s slots for what would be the best option, they hovered over Silver Lining. One click and it would deposit one of the squishy metallic orbs into their awaiting palm to be lobbed like a terrible game of water balloons. Goading Jon was a hit and miss with them, oh it hit and they rose to the challenge in their own way. “You know,” they stated loudly, an easy feat, making sure the leisurely sway of their voice carried well. They made a point to look amusedly back at the apparent leader of the pack. “I heard First Years crack under pressure, but don’t you think this is a little excessive? I know Hero courses can be a little woof, but yikes, take it down a notch, Angelica Pickles.” “What,” Jon hissed at Ryuusei’s suggestion, just remembering to keep their own voice down , “No. We don’t sacrifice one another.” That instantly put them on edge, the terrified screams of the girl echoing unnervingly in the nearly empty cafeteria. “Can’t neko-chan pull a John McClane through the ductwork?” It was a distracted thought at best as they circled through their quiver to Ring of Steel and balked. They didn’t have a proper reasoning to back up their statement. Maybe surprise attack, or a chance to work in solitude, but really, nothing of substantial help. Still, the furrowed their brow in an odd, unreadable expression before a sharp grin split across their features, eyes taking on a silver sheen. “Fine,” they quipped, “Balls to the walls, it is.” “Oh honey,” they laughed, back to addressing the dirty blonde, letting an ball drop into their awaiting hand as they took a step forward. “Stupid’s my middle name.” Tugging back the sleeve of their jacket and shirt, they caught the latch on their vambrace, releasing the hidden mechanism to snap into place.

ROUND 2 The hostage situation was underway, and while the yellow and green thugs stood casually together, not at all attempting to attack any of the kiddies they could see. Each green thug was surrounded by a yellow on each side of them, as the nine of them watched the students for what they would do. Arms crossed in front of them, standing at attention, like being called out in a line-up. The nine of them waited for any sudden movements, allowing the students to talk. One of the greens would look to Black Rabbit , and looked back to the students. Each one of them was eyed by one of the many masked thugs, looking upon their forms. Waiting for one of them to make a stupid move... another green thug turned his head, his neck showing a bit of green as well... almost inhumanely colored? Maybe it was a Quirk? He turned to look each of them down. The whispers did not send them off. After all, if one of them attempted to jump Black Rabbit, they knew their jobs. This is what their lives led up to. Obviously, a singular purpose of defense. When Mikaku Dokumi pulled something out, and seemed to be holding something, it looked as if one of the green thugs reached inside its shirt. Nothing as small as a shake of the head pointed at him. However, Jon Lafayette's little sleeve roll up, all of the masked thugs would turn to face him. Intent to strike the moment that this hostage situation went south. They were prepared for that eventuality, and if they had to cripple some kids, so be it. Another green turned their head to Black Rabbit. These kids were taking too long to comply with their demands. And as the green ones would move something in their own clothes, it became evident it was armed. The tension was rising. Remaining: 6 Yellow, 3 Green, Hostage(?), Black Rabbit

[attr="class","hiraeth"]黒い ウサギ | [attr="class","achee"] [attr="class","castleonthehill"] ❝ Wow, these students were… pathetic. Just awful.❞ Wow, these students were… pathetic. Just awful. If this was what this school was going to pump out in terms of pro heroes then villains didn’t have much to worry about. This was why she hated heroes. Always worrying about some hostage, being stopped dead in their tracks when they could so easily stop their opponent if they simply let a few people die in the process. If nothing else she was hoping that they’d give some retort full of bravado and misplaced confidence. Instead this group of morons decided to just whisper to one another, probably trying to plan out their next move. For a moment Black Rabbit thought about just attacking them while they weren’t paying attention, but ultimately decided against it.
As on of the green mooks looked back at her she simply shrugged at the thing, not really sure what to do next. At this rate she could probably get up and go get a snack before they actually made up their damn minds. She had figured this would be a fun little gig, and yet it had been so anti climatic when company finally did arrive. She had hoped to fight some real heroes, but this was just a bunch of kids playing hero.
Finally some action. It seemed like the kiddos were going to fight. Honestly it would be the more immediately entertaining option. Plus she’d get to vent a little frustration. “Wrong move!” Black Rabbit Shouted. Leaning towards her “hostage” she whispered, “Hey, Imma pretend to snap your neck, play dead. Maybe you can take one of em by surprise.” Stepping back, putting herself in between her “hostage” and the students to keep them from seeing what she was doing. Making a wide motion as if she’d actually killed the “hostage” she turned around to face the students.
She could let the minions deal with these kiddos, but honestly Black Rabbit had come here for a fight even if it was a seriously one sided one. Stepping forward she cracked her knuckles, alternating hands underneath her black and green gloves. Her focus was mainly on the green haired one and the emo looking one as they seemed the most aggressive and would hopefully put up at least a decent fight. As for the other two, the minions could handle them. And then there was… wait… was that a cat in a school uniform? Who would put a cute little kitty in such a dangerous situation? Oh now it was time to dish out some pain.
“Alright, are we gonna stand around here all night until that bomb goes off, or are we gonna fight?”

Post by Ren Wolff on Mar 31, 2019 0:49:48 GMT
As they came into the cafeteria, the situation that they were faced with changed completely. There were 10 villains and a hostage, throw that on top of the bomb threat and there was little wonder why the hero students found themselves hesitating. Ren's eyes narrowed as he looked on at the scene, sweeping across the colorful thugs that filled the room and the masked girl who seemed to be in charge. He was still toward the back of the group, but there was only about... 35 feet or so? between him and the hostage... There was admittedly something off about this whole setup, but the boy wasn't thinking calmly enough to piece out what was bothering him, instead focusing on trying to figure out what the hell they were supposed to do here.
The man he recognized as Fu's brother was the first to speak up with a plan of action, and Ren could barely believe what he was hearing. Ignore the hostage? Sure, there was definitely logic behind what Ryuusei was saying, there was already enough on the line and one person wasn't worth sacrificing the whole school for, but to not even try? Ren shook his head. That wasn't why he was here, he was here to become a hero, and heroes didn't let people die just because they made their jobs harder. Apparently he wasn't the only one with such opinions, as the other third year he hadn't met yet, named Jon apparently, immediately began to protest the plan. This only acted to bolster his resolve as his mind began racing to come up with some sort of plan of action.
Before he could get an answer however, Jon stepped forward, and it seemed the the villains had had enough waiting. As the girl moved toward the hostage, Ren screamed internally. 'NO!' His body began to move before his logic could catch up, throwing himself into a slide that brought him beneath one of the cafeteria tables. With a stomp of his foot, Ren felt some of the heat leave his body and a line of ice shot out across the floor, ending at the hostage's feet. An instant later, three walls of ice exploded upward forcefully from the patch and took on the shape of tower shields surrounding the hostage on all sides, one wedging in between the her and the villain when she turned for the 'killing blow'.
There, at least he'd done something. The space between the sheets of ice would be cramped, but it was better than dying, right? Hopefully the shields would do the job and buy them enough time to deal with the villains. Speaking of which... Realizing that the rest definitely wouldn't be keeping still anymore, Ren gave a hard shove to flip over the table he was under and turn it into a bit of cover, his other hand summoning up one last chunk of ice in the shape of a bokutō so that he could defend himself properly in the inevitable brawl.

Post by Jon Lafayette on Mar 31, 2019 14:58:21 GMT
The crossbow section unfolded into a streamline design and Jon was going to have to send some uncomfortable love letters to the Developmental Studio for doing a bang up job on the simple gear. It’d been an absolute boost to their Quirk design. The vambraces even flared a little around their upper forearm, allowing the student to tuck the bulk of their clothing into it to keep the gear clear of stray material. Transferring their weight evenly with a slight rock up to their prosthetic’s foot module, the curved C shape bent slightly under the shift, the rotary knee joint moving as fluidly as their real one and held the stance perfectly.
The leader’s response of the group helped single them out even more and sudden horror bubbled up inside Jon in a sick, lurching wave when they realized a moment too late what was happening. The metal orb was tucked into the crossbow’s serving cradle before Jon could yell, the awful sound spilling out of them in a wretched yell and the orb was released, streaking across the open space of the cafeteria. Jon’s aim was rough, barely putting any thought into it but they aimed at a clustered group of lackeys in shades of yellow. No matter what it hit, person, floor or wall, the thin plastic exterior would break apart upon impact, activating the attack. Jon had lobbed Ring of Steel, the thick viscous metal would adhere and immediately spider out in rings of varying widths, curling around and around until it all connected back together, binding a target.
A body lurched past them and the already chilly air of the cafeteria took a nosedive as ice erupted in a glorious move, looming shapes in the low light that rocketed forward. Jon had only dropped in to watch the first years a few times, but they hadn’t seen Ren’s Quirk in action and damn was it a beauty.
“Whoo! Let it loose, Elsa!” Jon whooped and bolted in the opposite direction Ren had gone, in hopes of drawing attention away from both the group and Frost. Another Ring of Steel ball was deposited into their hand, crossbow loaded and launched at the closet of goons without stopping. Keep count, keep count, keep count, they chanted like a personal mantra in their head. Nothing like running out of the essentials early on in the game. Pulling away from the serving area where an bountiful harvest of metal silverware was stored probably wasn’t the smartest thing to do, but there was no time to second guess stupid decisions. If Jon did that, they would still be back in Toulouse, elbow deep in the engine of a roadster.
They raised their other arm perpendicular to the side of their head, using the other hidden vambrace as protective cover as the steady but uneven thump of boot and rubber sole pounded across the ugly linoleum floor. Not that Jon was one to judge household style, but seriously, who even picked the boring ass color. Being small had it’s advantages and if taking up less space meant being a smaller target, then they weren’t going to complain. Jon looped around in front of the vending machines, the sharp neon lights casting them aglow in sharp contrast in heroic snacky goodness. In lasted for all of a heart beat before the teen cycled through their quiver and grabbed a Silver Lining, dropping to a knee to slam it on the floor. They barely had time to draw their hand back before the metal sludge burbled and expanded, quickly taking shape into a small three by three foot wall.
The metal solidified into a roughly texture barrier and a wide stretch of slightly crooked teeth appeared in a wild grin as Jon took refuge behind it. The low crouch pinched their upper thigh sharply, pulling their focus for a fraction as they shifted into something more comfortable, keeping their head down. Their barrier was small, but they were smaller.
“Oi, turd cutters,” Jon shouted from behind the safety of it as they pulled two Lead Foot orbs from their quiver and set them carefully on the ground for future easy reach. “I got a magic trick for you.”
Putting their back to the wall was originally a good idea, though technically they were more situated in the corner with several feet of open space behind them. Their wall had been erected, ha erected, with a slight angle to impede any crazy attacks that might come their way. Jon did have a vague, sort of backup plan to get themselves out. The kind that was instantly deemed so stupid, they totally had to give it a try. It’d be a crime to society not to.
“You like birds?” It was a gift to keep talking shit in the midst of a fight, Jon had a knack for it and the more annoying it was, the more attention was focused on them. They plucked another ball from the Wheel of Fortune spin they gave the quiver that neatly rested against the floor in their kneeling pose. It eased some of the weight off them and they sunk the ball into their vambraces cradle. “Imma make a bird appear outta thin air.”
A small gloved hand appeared over the wall, the single middle finger jutting proudly before it vanished just as fast. You know, just in case someone wanted to take it off. Rude.

“I can already tell you it’s not cottage cheese anymore,” Isamu remarked dryly after he gave his report on the situation. He was about to suggest trying to get outside to peer in through the window, but apparently the plan had been to blunder right in through the doors. Fine, that was fine. Time was of the essence. He had to trust that the third-years knew what they were doing.
Villain, hostage, those were the two normal scents, which meant the other colored goons were… well there had to be something off about them. They couldn’t all have an identical scent unless there was a quirk involved. Clones? Projections of some kinds? Was that the villain’s power?
Oh wait. A hostage. Damn. They had been told to expect hostilities but this was still pretty low. And if that bomb went off…
Wait a minute… If the thing they want is the bomb to go off, they want to draw less attention to it, not more… And they’re not making a demand for the hostage…
There was no discounting just the innate cruelty of some people, but even so… this didn’t quite make sense.
Neither did Himura-sempai’s declaration of just disregarding the hostage. Unless… did the older student see something he didn’t? Something that confirmed his suspicions? If so, the other third-years didn’t also see the same thing, and Ryuusei wasn’t explaining himself. It was true being a hero came with risks, but if she was a fellow student…
“There’s something suspicious about this setup—” he started to say, but then Lafayette-sempai broke off and started to actively threaten the villains. And then the lead villain leaned over and… His ears perked up, facing forward and focusing on that sound….
Pretend to snap. Play dead. Take by surprise.
That was the missing piece. Well, one missing piece. Guarding a bomb still made no sense, but…
“The hostage isn’t—”
And then Wolff-san had taken off, protecting the ‘hostage’ in ice and advancing into the room, knocking over a table for cover. He finished, hissing quietly so as to not tip off the villains that they knew. “Hostage is fake.” He hoped the others would at least have time to process and understand the warning as it looked like things were heating up. Still, Ren’s ice did give them an opportunity…
He let Jon’s hooting and hollering draw the eyes of the villains while he made his move. His fur was all black, and he had designed his hero costume to be the same, allowing him to be very hard to detect in dark settings, like cafeterias with their overhead lights turned off. While Jon was moving and talking Isamu zipped straight ahead, staying low as a silent, blurry shadow in the darkness. He cleared the gap to the three ice shields in less than a second, followed by an easy leap up to the top of the shields, already reaching for his pods in his vest on the way up.
The first he dropped into the impromptu ice cell was a flashbang, to try and disorientate the pretending villain from acting further. This was followed by several glue pods, aimed at the villain’s hands to keep them from getting free and escaping the cell, or at least severely hinder them. He ‘fell’ down outside the shields, zipping over to Ren and hissing out a warning. “Hostage is fake. Keep her trapped.” And with his warning to the group hopefully fully delivered, he easily hopped over the upturned table and vanished under the still standing ones, hiding and setting up his next strike.

[googlefont="Courgette"] I'm a brain fluid explosion girl Psycho Cure spied 4 students? Oh wait… 5th voice… probably a midget somewhere where she couldn’t really see in the darkness before her. She carried on her little act while they seemed to be squabbling, so some sort blonde guy, a taller black haired guy, oh it was the hero student Metalica with them too, could recognise that voice straight away and…
...bingo.
It was HIM!
So wait, wait that must been the really dull, boring sounding voice that was TRYING to be quiet was ☆JUSTICE☆, though she totes could hear, (well, she could hardly hear the Himura boy, but she could assume from all the others responses around him.) and by the sound of things they were planning to ABANDON her??
SERIOUSLY?
Like… REALLY?!!?
LEAVING SUCH A CUTE JK TO DIE??!!
WAS THAT WHAT HEROES OF THE FUTURE DID??
Man U.A were breeding a bunch of sociopaths! Okay, maybe nothing new, but still!! Psycho Cure-chan was shocked!
She had kept track of her baby boy’s year’s students since 1st year, and she had to say she really didn’t like that Himura’s boy. Not only were their parents idiots, ☆JUSTICE☆ was, for sure the most stuffy, uptight, unfun teenager every known to man (slight exaggeration, but not by much.) and she had no idea why her son hung around with him so much. Totally not a fan of the guy. 10/10 would not stan. He was like a crappy antagonist childhood friend character in a cliche shounen anime. Was probably an awful influence on her baby too, encouraging him to be boring.
But it seemed Metalica had different ideas and she was soooo glad! God, if they just ignored her and went for the bomb...that would be so, SOOOOOOOOOOO BORING!
Let’s immerse ourselves in the spur of the moment! Hard calculations were for old guys in labs~! Really though, IT’S NOT VERY HEROIC OF YOU GENTS TO LEAVE A DAMSEL IN DISTRESS!! It was something one of those dumb vigilantes would come up with!! If nothing else, she personally liked how cheesy and cliche “good guy” Heroes were, and if you took that away then what was left?? Seriously though, if bordering on vigilantes were the heroes coming out of U.A soon, there were so many scandals incoming that she could see which would be kinna fun to see too, if she thought about it that way.
And then as Back Rabbit was going to test her acting skills even more… it happened! YESS! UNCALCULATED HEROICS!
She heard some yelling before the small blonde one (uhhh… must be a first year or something she didn’t know this guy so we’ll call him ICE PRINCE!) and she was ripped away from Black Rabbit’s grasp and knocked about a little as she found herself enclosed in a tiny… ice room?
ANYWAY!
Atleast he tried, bless him!!
Lucky for her, she could just climb out! It probably was time for her to stop messing about anyway, incase Black Rabbit needed help or something. Jumping as high as he could, she caught the edge of the ice wall and lifted her leg up after a little scrambling, hooking his heel against the edge when something flew past her skirt grazing past her butt. The fuck was someone THROWING INTO THE ICE CAGE?? What were these kids? Actually. Crazy.
That was the thought process the villainess had before she was blinded by a flash. Oh. She probably should have closed her eyes and held her breath, god knows what these kiddies were lobbing left right and below... Though she was seeing a few stars, she did manage to hoist herself up when more objects flew past and into the ice doom pit.
“...seriously, have the boys in this school have SUCH low social skills that they can only do stuff like this to get a girl’s attention?”
She sighed as she jumped off the edge of the ice wall to land gracefully behind Black Rabbit.
“And mannnn school uniforms are so cute but hard to move around in…”
The white haired girl sighed as she pulled off her blindfold, revealing a blace lace mask around her eyes that partially obscured her face, but her large bright violet eyes could still be seen. She started to strip, taking off her top and skirt to reveal a body hugging suit underneath that really hardly covered much up really. There was good reason for this, beyond fanservice (which was very important ofcourse, did you know there is a Psycho Cure fan club? THERE IS!) but saying why would be telling~ right!
Tossing the garments to the side somewhere, she grinned at the students.
“Hey boys~! Dunno who you non 3rd years are, but how do you do~! Do you guys even know who I am? Bet you don’t…”

Post by Ryuusei Himura on Apr 2, 2019 9:33:13 GMT
And just like that, things had popped off. Though his team might have been appalled by his words, he doubted he could protect them while they fought in this battle. Given that half their team had been virtually untested and the other half were part-timers at best, sticking to a fairly tight formation and trying to take out the villains from afar would likely be the best course of action. Lest they all become liabilities. Yet the young ice user had dove straight into the fray. Summoning a protective ice wall around the hostage, Ryuusei was fairly impressed. Yet now he became a prime target. Gathering his strength as he prepared to back up the first year, everyone around him seemed to have similar thoughts. Jon acted and launched several projectiles at the enemies before setting up in a position near where they started. The cat who was in their group began to speak but seemed to say something in a hushed whisper. Ryuusei couldn't exactly hear him given that the fight had commenced but widened his eyes in surprised as he attacked the 'hostage'. HE SAID DISREGARD HER!
NOT ATTACK HER!? Even if there had been a reason to doubt the validity of the woman's identity HOW COULD YOU BE SURE!? There were so many ways in which the woman could have been a hapless noncombatant lost in the mix. Even if the cat had been ninety-nine point nine percent sure that the hostage wasn't what he believed her to be that still didn't mean he should take the initiative to attack her! Sighing as the sudden attack on the 'U.A. student' was launched, the suddenness of it disrupted Ryuusei's flow who had to restrain himself from yelling a loud and surprised 'no'. Obviously he wouldn't however given his general demeanor but the feeling had definitely been there. Thankfully however, it appeared as though the cat's deductions had been on the mark. They wouldn't get disciplined if a hostage had unfortunately been harmed by the actions of the villains. Yet doing the harm themselves would have DEFINITELY landed the group in hot water. With the woman's next action of stripping into something likely more comfortable for her, Ryuusei remained umoved by the woman's coy words. He cared little of the woman's true identity but if she was yet another enemy well...then he would dispatch her. Calmly walking over to the side where all the pots and pans would be stationed behind the counter, Ryuusei's blue eyes turned into a bright shade of pink as he stuck his arm out towards the silverware. Levitating the cooking ware, Ryuusei would send several pot shots aimed in a radius outside where the Ice First Year was. Not wanting him to get overwhelmed or jumped by the various minions in the area, he'd launch the pots and pans in a manner that would make those who dared approach the boy wary about getting smacked upside the head by the metallic projectiles.
