Your first day at a new school is always an experience to be excited about. New faces, new smells, new friends. New bed to get used to, new types of food in the cafeteria... so many new things. It was practically a sensory overload. Luckily, Akari knew adjustment like the back of her hand. U.A would hopefully be the final notch in her belt. She had lots of things to be excited about! From what she's heard, the students would be the best part about it! After all, her sister was here. Oh right, her sister... she had forgotten to tell Kagami entirely about her coming to U.A. Well, it could be a super late birthday present. And nobody would recognize her as Kagami's sister immediately, right? Nah, she was good.[break][break]
As for right now, Akari was seated, waiting to finish up the last bits of her paperwork before she was sent back to her dorm room. The young girl was growing anxious, absentmindedly biting her fingernails as she glanced around. It must be class time or something... normally at this time in Seiai they'd be taking some kind of pop quiz. The sounds and smells around here were growing almost irresistible, and she found it hard to sit still any longer. With a glance over her shoulder, she made sure that the coast was clear and as best as a six foot tall teenage girl could, scurried around the corner to see the fabled hallways of U.A Academy. Looked like.. just any normal hero academy. For a brief second, she was disappointed, and her ears drooped slightly. [break][break]
That was short-lived. In the distance, her acute sense of hearing picked up the sounds of a nearby classroom. Walking nonchalantly past, she quickly glanced inside. They looked like they were having a good time... she continued on her way, furrowing her eyebrows. Not the 1-A classroom, though. Would it better just to go back to the dorms and knock on every door introducing herself? Nah, that's pushing it just a little too much... If only she could smell Kagami. Then she could track her sister down! She was bound to have friends by now, right? Then Akari could juuuuust shimmy in and make herself at home![break][break]
Right. As if that would work. She was smelling so many things it felt like her nose was about to start bleeding. With an exhale, Akari turned on her heels and started to make her way back to where she was sitting originally. Hopefully, she'd run into someone. And if she didn't, she would get introduced to the class eventually so it all works out in the end![break][break]
But going without classmate interaction for this long was going to drive her insane.

Ryu was bored. That was the long and short of it. His first official day of class didn't start until tomorrow, but for right now he was allowed to roam the campus and get familiar with its surroundings. Hardly something a normal student would be allowed to do, but Aoi had vouched for him and the U.A. staff trusted her. If she claimed he wouldn't get in to any trouble on campus unsupervised, then he wouldn't. He was a responsible, smart, mature young man and he would never do anything to bring shame or dishonor to his family or jeprodize Aois position at U.A. Not after everything she had done for him.[break][break]
Right now Ryu was sat on the roof of one of the several buildings of UA's campus, reading through a simple pamphlet that one of the staff had given him. It was relatively simple. It was explaining his class times, had a map of the campus, as well as a list of the school rules. One rule that he had noted specifically being absent was the "No usage of quirks on campus" that all his other schools had, but he supposed that made sense. They were a Hero School, a place to learn how to use their quirks safely.[break][break]
That was how Ryu had gotten to the top of the school, in the most literal sense. His wings hung from his shoulders, extended around him to shield him from the blinding light of the sun. His shirt was tied around his waist as to not tear it up when he had transformed. But he was beginning to grow bored of this too. Aoi was busy teaching and it would be a few hours before she would be freed up to give him a proper in-depth tour. So now he had to find something to do. Playing games on his phone sounded fun, but... he didn't want to risk dropping it from this height. [break][break]
So he stood up to his feet, wings stretching out around him as he leapt off the roof of the building. His wings caught the wind and began flapping, slowing his descent to the ground and allowing him to land rather softly. He raised his arms above his head, completely unaware of the red-headed wolf-girl that probably saw him land, stretching his wings above his head as he stretched his arms as well, letting out a yawn. [break][break]
It was then that he heard the footsteps behind him, and he turned to see Akari standing behind him. Uh-oh. "Uhhh..." He began, unsure of what to say. She had caught him shirtless, despite the fact that he wans't truly naked thanks to the scales covering his back, chest, and shoulders.[break][break]

A bathroom break. That was the excuse that Romi used to get out of his mathematics class.[break][break]
He did make for the boy’s bathroom – just not to the one nearest to his classroom. Instead, he wandered, past classrooms and buildings, practically circling half of the campus’s grounds before finally making good on his excuse. He took his time, in washing his hands and then in re-styling his hair, fussing with his uniform. And then continued to take his time in walking back, his hands sunken deep into the side-pockets of his pants, his gait slow, sluggish.[break][break]
It probably wasn’t an heroic characteristic, being manipulative, deceitful.[break][break]
Math was really arduous though.[break][break]
Still walking, reluctantly making distance, Romi honestly didn’t think much of the tall redhead slinking about. It wasn’t as if his idea, his brief escape from class, was an original one. He wasn’t about to form judgements just because she seemed to be where she wasn’t supposed to be.[break][break]
However, he – tall and pale and winged – did catch and hold Romi’s attention, and the third-year’s eyebrows furrowed, his expression troubled. For whoever he was he was half-naked – in the middle of a school. In front of a student.[break][break]
It was far less gutsy as it was suspicious. And Romi quickened his pace, his posture still casual, as he approached the pair.[break][break]
”Oi.” A rough introduction though softened by the half-smile that Romi willed upon his lips, but didn’t warm the depths of his brightly-blue eyes. ”This isn’t an ideal place to try out a bit of exhibitionism. Maybe put on a shirt before anyone else sees you.”

Akari wandered right past where she had originally been sitting, towards the outside world. Maybe chilling outside until it was time to go take a nap would be a good idea. OR she could take a nap right outside! Genius idea, Akari! But it is always a good time for a nap. Finding a nice green spot of grass right directly in the path of the suns rays, she sat herself down and exhaled a deep sigh. It smelled nice. Summer always had a distinct aroma. The air smelled hot, yet almost sweet. Time for a sunbathe.[break][break]
Well.. it was time for a sunbathe. The sun seemed to disappear for a few seconds, and she glanced up to see a large pair of wings. Wings? Wings?! Akari hopped to her feet, squinting up at the large pair of wings as they lowered to the ground. Hmm... the closer they got to the ground, the more they started to turn into a boy. Her head tilted in curiosity. With every flap of the wings brought an interesting scent over to her. Smelled like a grass lizard. A very tasty and enticing grass lizard. Oh my god. Was this going to be the first classmate she meets?! Akari took a few tentative steps towards him, bracing herself as he began to turn around. He looked like an upperclassman! Oh man, Akari had to be respectful.[break][break]
Also, why was he shirt- OOOH SCALES!! Her gaze shifted from his face to the shimmery scales adorning his shoulders. Scales... was he a dragon? He was definitely a dragon. "Hello, Dragon-senpai!" The girl bowed slightly, trying to best to show respect to her alleged superior. How terrible it was to be assuming things when she didn't even know this boy![break][break]
This was so exciting. Her first friend and he had wings! And scales! This was her first time meeting anyone with either of those things, so it was some kind of weird quirk culture shock. Although, his scent made her strangely hungry. Akari made a mental note to chow down on her food stash once she got back to her dorm room.[break][break]
She picked up the sound of someone approaching, and turned her head to see another potential classmate approaching. His most striking feature was his pink hair. Interesting... it suited him! As he got closer, Akari could pick up the scent of berries (must be some kinda perfume) and smoke. Cigarette smoke? It had been a while since she had been around that. Glancing between the two, she kept the same very excited smile on her face. Two classmates? Oh man, this was great.[break][break]

Oh god. She was staring. And she was pretty, too. Ryu could feel his cheeks turning a shade of red as he looked her over. Darker skin, crimson red hair... He'd remember her, for sure. Though as he was about to speak he heard another mans voice, telling him to put his damn shirt on. Ryu turned back to face the older student, bowing in apology as his wings wrapped around his torso to protect his dignity. "Yeah, sure, just give me a second." And he closed his eyes and focused. His wings and scales began glowing a bright red color, almost as if they were on fire before they began shrinking. His scales retracted into his body along with his wings before they vanished completely, leaving only a normal human body.[break][break]
Ryu raised his shirt over his head after untying it from his waist and slipped it on, before bowing to the older male again in apology. "Sorry about that, my quirk does a real number on my clothes if I'm not careful." It was true. Even the strongest of restraining jackets couldn't hold him if he decided to use his quirk to increase his muscle mass. They'd just get torn to shreds. He'd then turn to the other girl, who had called him 'Senpai', and he smiled and waved. "No need for that." He corrected in a friendly tone, before walking up to her. "It's actually my first day. I'm a first year." He'd hold his hand out to her in greeting, and she might notice that distinctive lizard smell was gone now.[break][break]
"My name is Ryu. A pleasure to meet you!" He withheld his last name for the moment. He didn't want anyone to know his sister was a staff member at the school just yet. If he could make a couple of friends prior to everyone finding out he'd be able to at least know he had a few real friends in the school. Not that he doubted anyone here was a good person, but still. If Akari decided to shake his hand, he'd turn around and face the older boy again. "And you as well, senpai." The kid had to be a year higher than him. He looked too old not to be. Ryu wondered what his quirk might be.[break][break]

I'll be your shield Today was another day where she was out and about with no real goal in mind. She had been parkouring off of the school buildings just to test her endurance and see if that would jog her memory. The outing with Walter was still on her mind and she wasn't sure how to go about thinking of it. She was so tired and not in her right mind. How many glasses of wine did she drink at dinner? Needless to say when she got home that night she was freaking out over the chaste kiss she gave him on the cheek. It was in her French culture to do so, but with her hidden feelings it revved it up to about 11. Inwardly kicking herself for doing that, she rubbed at her forehead to try and dispel the memory. Today she opted for comfort rather than school professionalism. She wore her baggy black pants with the pockets in the legs and sides so she could wear her black flats for easy movement. She wore a scarlet v-neck shirt that showed a bit more cleavage than she should, but over top of that and buttoned at the top was a dark grey cardigan. As per her usual, she wore her big hip pack full of snacks and her daily supplies. Kuro was nowhere to be seen today as she decided that she wanted to just sleep all day around the house. Typical cat... Tsubame thought with an annoyed look as she walked along only to see a small group of students standing around talking. Surely she could say hello to her students without being the weird adult she usually ended up being when students were about. It was as if she wasn't a student herself at one point. This is what happens when you stay away from school for a while before coming back as a teacher and then the Vice Headmaster. She approached easily, keeping her calm and cool demeanor before she smiled in greeting at her students. "Bonjour, les jeunes," She said with a cheery voice before she stopped to smile at her students. "I hope you all are having a lovely day. If there is anything I can help you with, please just ask." She remembered her manners and did a small bow to the group of students and raised her head with a grin. "My name is Tsubame Takada, I am the Vice Headmaster of UA Academy." She remembered her own time at UA and could see her own silent self as she ran off around the school. Needless to say, she wasn't the best student, but she did try her best to go down her own path and do what she needed to do. Were it not for her friends, she might have turned out differently. Truthfully, it wasn’t all that surprising, neither of them were remotely familiar to Romi. Nothing about the girl, from her rosey-hued hair against dusky skin and her animalistic eyes, and nothing about “Dragon-senpai,” not the ashen colour of his scales and not his albinism when his quirk wasn’t in use. It wasn’t that Romi actively went out of his way to become familiar with every student that attended U.A., it was the pride of Japan, dense with aspiring heroes, Romi doubted he knew more than 5% of its students. But he was a third-year, and by his second-year certain features in passing left an impression.[break][break]
Ryu with his wings, his scales and his blasé attitude to exposing his body to his classmates and upperclassmen would definitely leave an impression.[break][break]
”I’m not really the one you should be worried about apologising to.” Romi’s brightly-blue eyes drifted to the redhead, admittedly had Romi only been passing by and witnessed Ryu’s half-naked landing without a second audience he would have kept his mouth shut, pretended not to have seen anything. What did it really matter, one guy seeing the bare torso of another guy, anyway? Girls, however, weren’t as okay with that sort of thing though – and neither should Ryu have been okay with that. Romi had expected the redhead to be flustered, embarrassed. Maybe even annoyed.[break][break]
However, her excitement was more than a little tangible. And her eyes seemed to be engrossed upon Ryu’s lean form.[break][break]
It caused Romi’s mouth to twist, bemused. It seemed as if there had been nothing for him to be worried about – which, in itself, was somewhat concerning.[break][break]
”Well, anyway, the school doesn’t like us out of uniform,” Romi shrugged, adding, ”and, now that I think about it, they don’t encourage us throwing about our quirks outside of class or practice. Just, uh, something to think about.”[break][break]
It seemed a bit of an overused trope, the “senpai” kindly gifting free advice to the slightly clueless underclassmen. Romi didn’t like the idea of playing into that trope, of playing that role. It was awkward, he felt awkward, and his gaze had drifted, unfocused, past the two of them before it occurred to him that he more-or-less was supposed to introduce himself.[break][break]
”Oh. Uh, same.” His posture became more relaxed, slack, as he sunk his hands deeply into the side-pockets of his pants. ”You can both call me, Ro –“[break][break]
He had meant to give his name but paused at the sudden feminine voice, speaking foreign words, spoke over him. Curious, Romi turned his head, and immediately tensed at the sight of the vice-headmistress, his eyes widening as his breath caught.[break][break]
Oh shit. Stupid, careless, Romi should have paid attention to what it would have looked like, three students standing gathered in the middle of the quiet grounds when classes were in session. When one said student should have been studying mathematics. There was no unpleasant warning carrying within Takada-sensei’s voice, and her demeanour was likewise as pleasant, friendly, but Romi still clenched his jaw as his blue hues regarded her guardedly.[break][break]
He really did not want to spend an afternoon paying for dabbling in truancy.

Akari wasn't expecting such a crowd on her first day. Of course, it was exciting nonetheless. After all, she enjoyed being around so many people. The boy named Ryu, a supposed first year (just like herself!) extended his hand towards her. She stared at it for a brief moment. When was the last time she shook someones hand...? So formal. With a grin, she took his hand and vigorously shook it. "Nice to meet ya! I'm Akari!" After letting go of his hand, she took a step or two back to nod at both him and the pink-haired upperclassmen. [break][break]
It was a bit amusing watching the upperclassmen present give Ryu a lowkey scolding, although she couldn't help but feel just a little bit bad. After all, she did have to carry clothes around just in case she used her quirk. Her eyes flitted between Ryu and the upperclassmen, listening intently.[break][break]
While she wasn't adding on anything to the conversation, she was keeping herself aware of her surroundings. Which means... she heard another human approaching. Another scent she didn't recognize... Kagami will be found. Eventually. She turned to face the newcomer, who started speaking some kind of foreign language... sounded French! [break][break]
And it was the vice headmaster! "Oh, hi! I'm Akari!" she flashed the older woman a grin, her tail wagging. First, she meets a first year. Then, she meets a third year. And now, the vice headmaster! What an excellent first day, she couldn't really imagine it going any better. Unless she ended with like, a steak dinner or something... oh man, steak sounds really good right now...[break][break]

She took his hand and shook it excitedly and Ryu smiled and laughed as she did. She seemed pretty high energy, but that was okay. At UA people needed a lot of energy to survive at UA and do well. Plus she hadn't seem put-off by his scales or his wings. In fact she almost seemed like she thought they were cool. That made Ryu feel better. He was so used to people being terrified of him when they saw the raw power his quirk could put out that he was used to it by this point. He was glad that there was a change of pace for once. It was refreshing. [break][break]
When Romi spoke again about the school not appreciating the students being out of uniform Ryu nodded. "Yeah, I know." He began. "My first day isn't officially until tomorrow, I'm just getting familiar with the campus today." Besides he had nothing else to do today. Aoi was busy teaching the 1-A class today and she had instructed Ryu to get familiar with the campus and see if he can make some friends. Afterwards the two of them would head home and go over their class schedule together. Typical stuff. [break][break]
So today was Ryu's only free day at UA. Overall he was highly impressed. The security was top-notch and he didn't have to worry about his privacy from the nose reporters that were constantly swarming the gates like flies. Ryu was used to attention and Aoi had warned him about the media before hand, but still it was nice. Getting into UA had been a validation of his own skills and he was certain he was going to show the world what he was capable of during the Sports Festival when it next happened. [break][break]
But then another person showed up. She was a bit shorter than Ryu and Akari, but she appeared older. Not that she wasn't young looking, but it was in her body language. The way she carried herself. That confidence that came with being an adult. She spoke a foreign language in greeting, it sounded like French if Ryu wasn't mistake. And then she introduced herself as the Vice Headmaster of the Academy. Ryu bowed in response, before introducing himself again. "Nice to meet you, Tsubame-san. My name is Ryu." He'd stand up straight again and smile. Tsubame would more than likely know of Ryu give his relation to Aoi, but Ryu wanted to see if Aoi had told the staff about him yet by withholding his surname. Besides it wasn't like she couldn't look up his surname if she really wanted to. [break][break]
"And, uh..." He began, rising his arm behind his head to scratch the back of his skull. "I'm actually still getting familiar with the campus. I don't start my classes until tomorrow."

Had Tsubame really been paying attention, she'd realize that these three students were out of classes while they were supposed to be in them; at least right away. Some say that Tsubame was an odd teacher, even when she was just a regular teacher teaching basic combat skills before her promotion to Vice Headmaster. In some ways she tended to not act like a teacher and more like how she normally did when she was a pro-hero. While normally she was reserved when around those she didn't know, but if the circumstances called for it, she could flip the switch and be a people person. Albeit, she tended to get tired after interactions. As a Vice Headmaster she used her athleticism to bounce around the school to get to her meetings and check in on teachers and students as was her daily routine, though that also meant she tended to come out of some weird places while moving about. The weirdest so far has been through the third story window in the offices for teachers; it was weird because it was a meeting she was supposed to be running and it ended up being Walter that did it. She made it up to him later in the evening with a nice steak. He is easy to read when it comes to food.
Tsubame's eyes drifted towards the three students as she made her silent assessments. Two of them she had never seen before, and so she was just going to assume they were new and not yet within the school yet. The third one looked to be well integrated into the school, but she was unsure as to what his year was. Though she was sure she had seen him around the school before. Instead of jumping to her questions as to what they were doing here, she instead opted for a calm smile while she waved lightly. "It is lovely to meet you all," Her eyes flicked to the second younger boy as he addressed her as 'Tsubame-san' rather than the normal 'sensei'. While she was used to not using honorifics herself, she did try to do things by the social book while at school. However, something bothered her about this boy. Why did he look so familiar? Did....did he know her outside the school? She wasn't sure, but she just went on with it. "Well I hope you have a good first day and do your best, Ryu. And I would appreciate it if you addressed me as 'Takada-sensei' or at least 'Tsubame-sensei'. I got to keep up appearances." She grinned at the boy as she chuckled, she did not mean anything rude.
Once she got her introductions in order, she then decided it was time to ask why they were all out and about. She could only guess the two new ones were just figuring out the campus, but the other student should know better, right? "What brings you all out and about while classes are in session? I can understand you both," Tsubame gestured at the two younger students, but then her calm amber yellow eyes rested on Romi with interest. "But what about you....Mr....?" She trailed off, asking for his name.
