The wind rushing through dark hair, a sight that wasn't uncommon for anyone to see when Oliver was outside trying to work on his quirk. He stood not far from the school gates, standing with one leg extended forward and his back pressed against the walls behind him. His index finger firmly pressed against the spine of some sort of text book, appearing to focus on the biology of some exotic animals: a topic he found himself always drawn to due to the mimicking nature of his quirk. "Interesting, interesting." He wasn't an idiot by any means and that was clear.
As he stood quietly at the gate, looking through the documents there he pondered a lot of things that he had never really cared about before. Why did the ideas of things like romance or silly trifles of the like even seem to interest him at all when he had been so clear with himself prior that romance would just slow down his progress as a hero. He was more than aware of the situations that brought other people there but he couldn't help but feel almost a bit burdened by these emotions he wasn't used to attempting to process.
To the rest of the world, he was just a kid reading a book - watching the world go by slowly as he focused intently on what he was reading. But in reality, he was undergoing an inner turmoil he could never reveal to anyone else. He'd only interacted with two girls so far this year and both of them had his heart... reacting to them. One of them was sweet and seemed overall relatively interesting while the other was a bit harsh and rough around the edges but something about her drew him in too. He wasn't even sure how he would resolve that.
He had to hurry and figure out what he would want to resolve things or else he risked legitimately falling for someone. That wasn't an option as far as he was concerned: love was totally out of the question. The easiest resolution would be to fall away from them all and focus in on himself but even that wasn't going to work out exactly as he wanted and he knew it. He ran into both of them trying to be alone and now they'll be more comfortable approaching him again. He needed to figure something out...
