RUMOR/SECRET: | "Doesn't that Villain have a weirdly similar Quirk to that U.A. kid that died?" |
Naitsu was a courageous, ambitions, and heroic boy.
Zero is cruel, manipulative, and violent man.
Then again, what he went through the past two years at the hands of Villains was unknown. Gone are all but the smallest remnants of his old personality, and in their place is a subservient and callous Villain who follows whims of destruction and blood for no better reason than he was told to.
It is, ironically, amongst other Villains that aren't associated with the Scarlet Army that he acts the calmest. Among them, he feels no direct need to be threatening or forceful and is most likely to have a pleasant conversation with a murderer than a normal civilian child.

Two years ago, 'Zero' was Naitsu Kitana - a second-year Heroics student at U.A. high with a bright future ahead of him. A bit impulsive and hotheaded, he nonetheless was a shining bastion of justice - eager to do good in the world and prove himself capable of being a great Hero. 'The Incident', as it came to be known, happened while he was interning. A sudden Villain attack struck, the boy and his mentor rushing to the scene as they were the only Heroes nearby.
Everything went well, at first - most of the Villains were mooks or didn't have a Quirk strong enough to stop him. Then, he caught sight of something peculiar. A Villain, dressed in red from head to toe, slipping into a small building. Against his mentor's instructions, he gave chase.
The body was never recovered. Said to have been incinerated by the explosions and collapse he had charged into - far too much for his Quirk at the time to handle. A solemn day, yes, but not heavily alarming. Naitsu was thought to have lost his life in an accident. Zero proves otherwise.
In truth, the Villain proved to be far more important than first assumed - a prominent member of an underground Villain group known as the 'Scarlet Army'. At the time, they were small but fanatical - known by a select few for their access to highly illegal weaponry and strong Quirk users. Naitsu was truly meant to die in the trap that had been set for him, but he endured.
For better or worse, the power of his Quirk caught the attention of this group. They wanted it. But, as one might know, Quirks are bound to the original wielder. If they wished to have it for their own purposes, they'd need to 'repurpose' the boy. Torture was enhanced by a select few Quirks, and he initially broke within the first half-year.
Rigorous re-programming, medicines, and Quirks were poured into this effort - his old life slipping further and further away to the point where he could no longer even recall his own name. He was only known as 'zero'. Two years had passed, and it was growing closer to the time from the Scarlet Army's grand reveal - with Zero as the opening act.

THE ARMORY
Costume: Carbon weave with Kevlar interwoven to form an armor piece that is both protective and adjustable, able to stretch to match Zero's growth when he uses his Quirk. Blocks small arms fire and small bladed weapons well, but isn't suited for Quirks or larger scale weapons.
Gun: Zero will typically carry around a handgun to supplement his ranged weakness. It chambers in .45 ACP, holds thirteen bullets per magazine, and has two spare mags along with the one in the gun. He can shoot three shots per post.
Painkillers: Morphine-level medication in a consumable form that Zero tends to take before a fight. Combined with his adrenaline, it helps null the excessive pain he usually endures. Isn't necessary, but it sure helps his mood. Can get highly addictive if consistently used during fights.
The intensity of the medication can potentially hamper his rational thinking and fine motor control, meaning he is more likely to make risky descions and he loses half a tier of proficiency when using any ranged attacks. (Ex: C+ -> C-)

QUIRK & SKILLS
BULK UP
TYPE: Transformation
RANK/LEVEL: B+
SUMMARY: Bulk Up is relatively straightforward (but powerful) Quirk. It grants the user the ability to greatly increase and improve muscle mass, along with a temporary surge of pain-numbing adrenaline. This is visually signified by an extraordinarily increase in bodily size, and his skin visibility illuminates with a sharp red. Granting the user incredible strength and durability, making them essentially a moving tank.
At his limit strength-wise, Zero is capable of moving fully kitted semi-trucks (weighing up to 80,000 pounds) with a good deal of effort - and can easily lift and even throw smaller vehicles to a great degree. This also means his punches hurt, ALOT. At full power, he is quite easily capable of tearing straight through a sheet of steel with a direct blow and can crush concrete to rubble.
Durability wise, at max, he can withstand a wide range of attacks - from literal explosions to getting hit by a on-rails train, to even falling 40 stories. Such extremes are his UPMOST LIMIT, and anything even slightly past that will get lethal. Even so, at these echelons Zero will be fully incapacitated. This doesn't mean, however, that he feels no pain - infact, outside of adrenaline, extreme 'tanking' hits is exponentially painful. If struck hard enough the sheer pain could cause some adverse side effects.
Durability does NOT equal direct protection, however, and although Zero DOES gain enhanced protection, it is nowhere near equivalent to his durability. His enhanced body is much more strong against blunt force than piercing weapons, comparable to a thin sheet of steel. Not exactly HARD to damage, but still moreso than a normal person - and combined with his durability, makes him a tough foe.
WEAKNESSES/LIMITATIONS:
Bulk Up's first major drawback is a loss of dexterity. Not necessarily speed, per se, as Zero is still capable of running about as fast as the average athlete, but rather controlled precise movements with the body. Fitting through tight spaces, dodging, flipping, etc. all become either incredibly hard to do or outright impossible.
Secondly is a weakness to corrosive and electrical attacks. These types of attack bypass his 'protection' entirely and nearly halve his durability.
Thirdly is a maximum 'charge' limit to his Quirk. At his current rank, he can maintain this form straight for a maximum of six posts regardless of damage intake, before running out for the rest of the thread.

COMBAT
RANK/LEVEL: A
SUMMARY: Fighting. Not fighting to incapacitate or subdue, but fighting for survival - a desperate but controlled style that promotes the belief that the opponent won't stop if you fall. Dirty tricks and techniques abound, only strengthened by Zero's re-training.
GUN PROFICIENCY
RANK/LEVEL: C+
SUMMARY: Zero is a good enough shot, better than some of the police force even. Practiced specifically to pair well with his Quirk's lack of range.
PROJECTILE ACCURACY
RANK/LEVEL: C+
SUMMARY: When unavailable or out of ammo, Zero is capable of throwing makeshift projectiles with a fair bit of precision and accuracy - ranging from rocks to knives.
