RUMOR/SECRET: | she's never laughed. |
Yoshiko Shigenori is the epitome of a graceful young Japanese lady. Elegant and refined, she makes sure to be polite to people she meets regardless of her station. Nevertheless, she also makes sure to carry herself with the confidence and self-assuredness typical of ladies of her station.
It’s an act.
Yoshiko believes in one universal truth – that in this world, it’s eat or be eaten. Everything she does is geared towards surviving in a world as brutal as this one. Capitalism? Quirk marriages? All just ways for the powerful to stay powerful. That’s how life is; moreover, that’s how life should be. The losers deserve what’s coming to them.
And Yoshiko has no intention of being a loser. She’s driven to excel at everything she does; sports, grades, socialization, whatever. Everything she does is refined to a razor-point in pursuit of this singular goal. She can’t afford even a crack in her façade.
Deep down, Yoshiko despises this state of affairs. She wishes that the world could be built on a foundation of kindness, not cruelty and exploitation…but the thing is, it can’t. That’s just the way the world works. She yearns for a simple life, but also knows that it’s something she can never have.

BACKGROUND HISTORY
PLACE OF BIRTH/HOMETOWN: | tokyo city |
PARENTS: | yuuki shigenori (father), michiko shigenori (mother) |
SIBLINGS: | n/a |
SIGNIFICANT OTHER: | n/a |
OTHER: | n/a |
Yoshiko was the product of a marriage between the Pro Hero Yuuki “Archangel” Shigenori and Michiko Kodama, the youngest daughter of the Kodama Group’s president. The marriage was purely for business reasons; Shigenori wanted more economic power, and Michiko wanted to enhance her family’s brand by marrying a Pro Hero. They made this fact obvious to Yoshiko from day one.
Growing up in a loveless household had palpable effects on young Yoshiko. She was showered with material belongings, yet only conditionally given genuine love and affection. Yoshiko came to understand relationships in the context of power relations and self-interest; all relationships between human beings existed only as derivatives of those.
When Yoshiko was old enough, Michiko taught her the law of the jungle. Life was one big cycle of predator and prey – that was true in nature, so it must be true in everything else. That was the world’s one and only great truth.
From Yuuki, Yoshiko learned that she didn’t exist. She was merely an extension of her family name, and destined to become a Pro Hero. Her ultimate purposes were to continue her bloodline by bearing children and to preserve her family’s legacy by continuing their work in heroism.
Being thrust into school only reinforced what her mother had taught her. The pressure-cooker system that was Japanese school made Yoshiko strive to be the best – and with the hard work, natural talent, and the help of a small army of personal tutors, she rose to become the best in her class.
In middle school, Yoshiko made a small circle of wealthy “friends.” To her, they were more business partners than actual friends. This sentiment, however, was not shared by one Rei Namikaze, who loved Yoshiko dearly…as a friend, of course.
All was well until Rei’s family became bankrupt. Immediately, Rei’s so-called “friends” abandoned her; Yoshiko was the last, but she cut Rei off the hardest. It got to the point where Yoshiko wouldn’t even speak to Rei in class. Her family name could not be associated with one who fell so far.
(Yoshiko feels no remorse at abandoning her former friend.)
Yoshiko’s outstanding performance in her middle school caught the eye of U.A. High School, and she was selected to take the Recommendation Entrance Exam. She passed with high marks – her naturally high intelligence, powerful inherited Quirk, and work ethic made this a near-guarantee.
Now Yoshiko is in her third year, and excelling at whatever she does. From then on, her life will follow a predictable path; become a Pro Hero, be married off to either someone with a powerful Quirk or another child of a zaibatsu, have children, and retire on a pile of money.
Or will it?

THE ARMORY
Hero Costume - Besides being designed to accentuate her figure, Yoshiko's outfit is made of superdurable material capable of resisting the energy she pours into her body.
QUIRK & SKILLS
PURE BODY
TYPE: Emitter
RANK/LEVEL: C
SUMMARY:
All around everyone are various forms of ambient energy – potential energy from being a certain distance from a certain galaxy, for instance. Yoshiko can tap into an infinitesimally small amount of this energy, absorbing it and redirecting it through her body to enhance its capabilities. By focusing and centering herself, Yoshiko can boost her strength, speed, and durability. Her skin glows golden when she does this, and energy crackles around her – although these effects are little more than aesthetic effects. Yoshiko can leap higher than any normal human being, dent steel by punching, and take hits that would normally leave mortal wounds on a person. Yoshiko can keep up this state with no ill effects for two (2) posts, and can keep it up for a total of five (5) posts before her brain automatically shuts it off.
WEAKNESSES/LIMITATIONS:
The greatest weakness of this quirk is the amount of damage it deals to her body. As mentioned before, Yoshiko can only maintain this state for two (2) posts without consequence, and can only maintain it for a total of five (5) posts before her brain automatically switches it off. During these three extra posts, the energies become unstable and start to damage her internal organs. She needs long breaks (around five posts) before turning it on again without consequence, as turning the Pure Body state on and off strains her body in a similar way.
As an aside, the crackling energy and glowing skin make it hard for her to move stealthily.

MIXED MARTIAL ARTS
RANK/LEVEL: C
SUMMARY:
A good paragraph explaining the details of this skill, remember that it will coordinate with their skill level.
- Skills are what a NORMAL human can learn with enough time and practice/talent.
- Anything supernatural or breaking force of nature is a QUIRK so bear that in mind!
- Skills and quirks cannot overlap (E.g Strength boost skill + strength quirk)- So pick one please!
- In general, someone with a non combatant quirk will be allowed more higher level skills and vice-versa with combat oriented quirks being regulated to lower end skills..
