“Excuse you, my balls are fucking perfect. I made them myself.” Jon countered haughtily, their mirth dissolving any seriousness behind it. “Kaz,” they continued, unsure exactly what they were trying to convey but grinned brightly all the same, ready to follow into the lion’s den. They didn’t have anything in their arsenal to offer to soften a rough landing, metal didn’t exactly make for comfort. “I like my bacon undercooked.”
“Stay frosty,” they shouted as Isaac’s robot tumbled into an amazing aerial acrobatic lunge and Jon was certain they were going to have whiplash by the end of this training exercise.
The teen hunkered down at the last second, squeezing their eyes shut as they crashed through another opening. Their dark world tumbled around before coming to an abrupt upright stop and Jon gave a shake of their head, dislodging a few chunks of small debris from their dreadlocks. Their death grip loosened only to scramble themselves back to their shoulder perch, a not so subtle giggle drifting from them. “I got a, you know, a thing for mecha. Not to make it weird or anything.”
Jon cycled through their quiver, pulling up the one they figured they’d use less than the traditional way. “Your aim is better than mine.” And passed over another nondescript silver orb to Isaac’s bot. “Silver Lining, they’re small barriers about three feet all around and heavy as shit. They graft onto whatever you throw them at. If you get close enough, get his tail, it should screw with the mechanics or movability or whatever. Either way, he’ll be lugging around a wall for at least a few minutes, might slow him down a bit.”
They pulled loose another, this one a blank and their eyes flashed a silver hue, nearly glowing with the activation of their Quirk as they carefully sought out a unseen spot with their thumb to connect them directly to the metal. They poured a speedy amount of intent into it, but it’d take a while to replace what they’d already used up. If Jon wasn’t fighting, then they could at least be doing something. They twisted the pipe they were stubbornly clinging to, knowing it make for both good ammo, albeit ammo only they could hold onto it, and a secondary weapon and jammed it down the back of their jacket.
“He can’t dodge all of us at the same time?” Maybe. Meka could definitely hoof it when he wanted and he wasn’t playing around this time. It was a rarity to see their former teacher in action, Jon struggled to recall anything to use to their benefit. “Wait for Phoenix Force to do his move, I also like my bacon undercooked.”
“Uhhhh, hmm shit, I’m not good at planning. If you can get him into a narrow space, I can blockade the way with some spikes and poles. But, I’m mostly along for the ride till you can get me opening to scoop up Bacon.”

all we can do now is follow the path we believe in
Itsuka was speeding down through the urban terrain when he heard a voice from somewhere in the sky, it belonged to the little support kid in a mecha.
“...collateral damage…”
He supposed the kid was new so didn’t know Hero society rules like the other kids...hopefully did. Not that he himself cared very much about that kind of thing, his team adjusted to that and he just listened to what he was told by his teammates. He had, however, learnt to inform their strategist before destroying anything too big or many as apparently even their insurance as a top 10 hero unit wasn’t fully covered for that much compensation.
“Depends on your hero insurance. But you kids know that by now right? All those politics.”
It all depended on the level of insurance the hero had (usually via their agency) and also depended on what kind of job they were on. This was a hostage case, so would be higher insured than a normal natural disaster, but not as much as mass terrorism, for example. And some heroes infamously needed higher insurance coverage, which again depended on how good your sponsors and agency was. All the red tape that Itsuka personally thought was absolute bullshit, but part of life none the same.
Maybe it was some ploy to distract him, it possibly was, but when Itsuka was being serious this much distraction was no problem. Slowing down enough to be able to enter the building, he was making his way to the top floor to be able to travel across the rooftops when he heard a loud smashing crash and… was that Explosion who had just come through the windows?
“...Out of my way…”
He mumbled, clutching Bacon with his right hand, before launching the claw attachment on his left directly at the redheaded student’s body as he carried on running forward, darting a little to try and make his movements a little less predictable. He heard another crash behind him, louder, larger this time though he didn’t turn round. Did that crazy support kid crash into the building with his mech???

[googlefont="Comfortaa"] ♡ TAGS WORD COUNT NOTES " Uh...."Everything looked the same and these paper written directions were not doing the job. His towering frame and skin stood out like a sore thumb, a gentle giant humbled by the immensity that was U.A High School. Students of all ages laughed, yelled and ran to class, each holding dreams of becoming pro heroes. He could not escape their gazes, a giant as much as he an enigma in their eyes, all looking up at him. Those able to look him in the eyes directly typically gave thanks to their mutated Quirks for their size, but even these students were caught off-guard. Right off the plane and bags delivered to his room, Ife already made a blunder by being late to his class. He was given a pardon regarding the circumstances of his transfer and the timing, but it would be best to introduce himself to the class sooner rather than later. He was close to graduating, U.A being the final piece to the puzzle. Gathering his thoughts, Ife started walking towards the general direction he thought was correct for the Ground Beta training grounds. He knew nothing about it besides what his parents had told him after their visit, one of the world's best simulations for mission scenarios in urban areas. A stoic look on his face hiding frustration, excitement pushed his body forward beyond its own confusion. Turning corners, scanning left and right reading signs, it felt like a never ending maze of classes and hallways. Everyone moved out of his way, albeit cause he was just so damn big rather than being respectful of someone being in a hurry. No luck was coming his way, a nagging feeling that he was farther than he needed to be. "Damn..." he whispered under his breath, visibly irritated by the merry go round he put himself through. A moment of silence, hands on his knees, taking in deep breathes as he gathered his thoughts. Then-- Ife looks up and sees the sign for Ground Beta. "...Not questioning it," he motioned towards the door, not mentally prepared for the metal jungle he saw. An exact replica of an unknown city, the near unlimited resources of the school were on display with this room. Street signs, stop lights, various building structures, there was no way a hero would not be prepared for the real deal once they stepped foot outside these walls. The architecture certainly differed from Nairobi, a second case of culture shock settling in. There wasn't much time for him to take in the sights, as the other students were half-bickering and half planning an assault on who Ife presumed was their target. Something about saving a pig or cooking it? He'd rather save it than eat it, not that he ever would anyway. Listening to their conversation and staying out of their view upon coming in, an idea of their capabilities swirled in his head. Technology, fire and liquid balls? They had their work cut out for them. But damn they were daring! One after another, they launched themselves into the air to chase their target, in their own ways. The mech was impressive, dashing through the air despite its heavy appearance, shielding the other student before crashing through a building window. The exercise was intense, and the would-be hero had no intention of sitting this one out. "HEY--!!" was a second too late to come out of Ife's mouth, muffled by the wind currents that carried the duo and then followed by the explosion. Instead of waiting for permission to join in, he followed their trajectory and sprinted, shoes slamming the pavement to support his large frame. Finding their landing point was easy, considering the windows were busted and the sounds of the mech were audible even at the ground floor. Keeping in mind not to danger the hostage or his own squadmates, there was only one thing Ife had in mind to provide assistance. A cloud of ash would be uncontrollable in the open air, however it would be safer if he released just the right amount to close off the lower levels to stop the teacher from escaping, but it wouldn't be enough to trickle upstairs to put anyone in danger. The temperature did noticeably get hotter though. He kicked open the door, outstretching his right arm before concentrating on his palm, a jet stream of ash bursting out as it quickly permeated the entire vicinity adjacent to the stairs, shooting up along the rails with a heat wave accompanying the fresh ash. Gauging how up they were into the building through the busted windows, Ife did his best to not catch them directly in the cloud. "Ife Selam is my name fellow classmates--!! I have arrived late but I am here to help, the bottom levels are blocked with volcanic ash to block the escape routes--!! Take him down!!" he bellowed, his deep voice and bass resonating throughout the entire city. A thick accent muffled some of his words, though he hoped the communication was clear enough with the current situation.

Kazume was rather impressed that for once he wasn't the one making extensive damage of the training facility.. yet. It was the Russian kid with the robot, a support student at that, that was busting up the place. So by that point, it almost seemed like permission to do the same. It likely would effect their grade in the end, it usually did, but oh well.. He was not the catalyst in this situation. Regardless, the support student was definitely impressive to say the very least.
There was likely still no chance in hell they were gonna pull this off, but what the hell, why not try?
"I can take it." He said sharply, though in reality there was no way of knowing that until he was in the air. He was lucky if he survived this guy busting through walls and bashing windows to nothing. Granted, Meka hadn't given them a lot of choices running like that. And this destruction was only the start if this worked.
Then he was in the air, slipping through debris and broken glass before allowing himself to light up. The propulsion of the ignition, sending him flying upwards. Just don't kill the pig. Don't kill the pig. Don't kill the pig. As if it took reminding, it was more of a hope than a deliberate reminder for himself not to cook the pig along with everything else. At least he was somewhat conscious of his destructive capabilities, but his quirk was not ideal in contained spaces. So in reality it was really more of a 'don't destroy a building, kill a pig, and get kicked out of school for it.'
He hit the ground and rolled, something sharp rang through his skeleton. A splintering sort of crack followed by a lot of pain up his side, but he swallowed it in heat and anger. Meka afforded him no time for recovery and came straight at him.
“...Out of my way…”
I hate this fucking lesson.
He felt the claw impact against his chest, throwing him back into the wall, as he snapped his finger and the air crackled, intense heat eating up the oxygen in the enclosed space. Faster, far more intense than he meant to, but, truthfully, he had no fucks left to give. The explosion followed near immediately. Noise filled the hallway, debris blown in every direction, windows shattering, dust filling the air, piercing noise in his ears. Tension in the air, a smell like gun powder, fingers crisply blackened beneath the strike of fingertips like matchsticks, adrenaline in his veins. Damn, if it didn't make him feel alive.
Kaz wasn't even sure if that even stopped Meka, or if any of this was even fucking worth it. He certainly fucking hoped the bastard felt something, for all this shit. Or else he'd be fucking pissed.

SO IF THEY STRIKE YOU DOWN JUST GET RIGHT BACK UP 476 Words | so basically, i'm monky
"How's school going?"
Reading that text, still half-awake, while running quite late for an important class was... Disappointing to say the least. It was her third year, after all. She was well on her way to becoming a pro hero. So why now was it so hard to get going? Ko grabbed her sunglasses and headed out. Hasty and slumberous, the goblin-eared goblin dragged herself through the familiar halls, gradually eroding the rheum away. How late would she be? Oh well, at least she's going! Where was class today? ... Oh, right.
Ground Beta, a wonderfully simulated urban setting, would be the present scene. That meant one thing; today was not a boring classwork day! The notion brought Kohaku a sea of relief, elation, and most importantly, energy. Study, or play? For she, the choice couldn't be clearer. So off Ko flew with a rapid gait; the later she was, the more she missed out on! And she still had to change into her 'gym clothes'!
Upon arriving at the site, donning her oh-so-bright costume and sun-goggles, Kohaku soon realized that she was just tailing a new student! She very excitedly approached, but before she could greet him he had already sprinted off. Rude. Nevertheless, the fire of her determination could not be snuffed, and immediately she followed after him. Once they had arrived at the building where the others had landed, the stout girl opened her mouth again to speak to him. However, she was yet again interrupted as he set off what seemed to be his quirk. Ash! Hot! Gremlin backwards-sprinted away from the danger and sighed. Now how was she supposed to join the fun? She figured it wasn't the worst plan, she had recognized this lesson already. So she put her thinking cap on for a second, tightening her headband, before hearing Newbie's cry.
"YO!" Exclaimed the quintessentially colorful Ko. Calling out, she'd spew forth some welcoming positivity; "Radical quirk, dude!" With that out of the way, Kohaku once again redirected her focus inwardly, seeking a way into the fray... Aha! Some sort of pipe surely important for some sort of utility ran conveniently next to one of the broken windows; an entrance! Without caring for the thought of structural stability or broken glass, Kohaku positioned herself at the base of the pipe, got a good hold on it, and began hoisting herself up. It reminded her of rope climbing in gym, and was truly testing her stamina. Nevertheless! This is what she trained for!
"H.. Hello, classmates!" Breathed Kohaku, pulling herself through a window. Whilst catching her breath, she briefly glanced around. Teacher, peers... Mech? Well, everything seemed to be in order. The fighter dusted any glass off of her hand wraps and shook herself off, beginning a subtle bounce step like a boxer just entering the ring. It was party time!

Post by Isaac Korzhakov on Sept 7, 2019 17:47:45 GMT
Things were maybe starting to get a little hectic here, though the fact that Isaac was effectively controlling two bodies at once didn't help the fact. Outside, he could see two others approaching from his drone's vantage. Probably students that had been late to the exercise, if their actions were anything to go by. The large one let lose a cloud of rather hot... ash? yes, that was right, to block off the lower stairwell, while the oddly colored girl scrambled up the side of the building. Well good, with more people on their side, their odds of success were beginning to rise a bit higher.
Back inside, the three students had managed to surround Itsuka, but there was no way that the teacher was going to give up so easily. Isaac accepted another metallic orb from Jon with a nod. It wasn't a bad idea, and slowing down their quarry would go a long way toward achieving their goal. It was about that time that Itsuka started to move again, and then the goblin girl climbed in through the window and Kaz... detonated. Without even really thinking about it, Isaac stepped toward the wall and raised an arm to cover Jon and the girl as the blast wave washed over his robotic form. It was always an odd thing, when he was inside he didn't feel pain of any sort and fear was a foreign concept. The only things that even registered as chunks of debris bounced off the Raiju were the vibrations of the impacts, and the pings from the proximity sensors. Without those sorts of sensations, he body could just move according to his instincts with no worry of the consequences that would normally result.
"Why hello there, pleasure to meet you. Isaac Korzhakov. Welcome to party." Isaac called back casually to the newest arrival even as bits of the hallway continued to crumble from the blast. As destructive as the maneuver had been, it did create a pretty good opportunity and the boy had every intention of taking it. Before the smoke even started to clear, the Raiju rocketed forward again and Isaac took one of Jon's projectiles in each hand. His targeting systems switched on again and he fired his boosters one more time to close in as much as possible before he made his move. First he pitched the quicksand he'd gotten earlier, lining up the shot so that the orb would hit the floor just in front of Itsuka and potentially splatter the former-hero with the adhesive metal. Next he waited until he was as close as possible and let the silver lining fly, attempting to tag the teacher's tail just as Jon had suggested. As he understood it, success here would mean that Itsuka would be dragging around a miniature metal wall with him, and failure would put that wall directly in the Russian's way. Both options proved to make things a bit more interesting.

“Oops,” they muttered at Meka’s monotonous tone through the radio chatter, sounding only faintly guilty at the excess of damage they’d already wracked up in a short amount of time. “My bad.” Kinda, but it wasn’t like Jon had exactly done any of the damaged themself, per se. They’d just been along for the ride and actively encouraged it. Totally different. But, the seemingly odd distraction had it’s place and while it didn’t feel like it worked, it still gave them time to collect in one place.
A voice boomed from below and the building quaked beneath their feet, the acidic smell of ash filtered upward, Jon drawn to the sound that emanated from the stairwell. “God?” Jon confusedly said out loud, just as Kohauku ollied through the open window and the teen slid backwards off the robot, landing with a light thump and stumble next to her. Kaz activated his Quirk and the world flashed a hellish landscape as a blur of silver arched across their vision.
Their ears rang in the aftermath and Jon hacked, grimacing at the sting in the back of their throat at the taste of smoldering ash in the air, combining into one nasty hallway of unfunness. Patting their shoulder, they brushed some debris off in the process and shook their head. Dreads flung back and forth, still all green and accounted for, if a little bit singed by the tendrils of smoke drifting from the top of their head. They couldn’t make out anything in the hazy interior, least of all Kaz. He’d all but vanished, furthest away from the group.
“Whoa, thanks Johnny Five. I was almost burnt toast there.” Jon clapped a hand on the protective metal arm that shielded them from the incendiary attack, slipping back just as Isaac launched forward. Giving another ugly cough, they turned, spat, scrubbed their mouth with the back of their hand and faced Ko with a grin.
Jon blatantly stared at the girl’s chest, eyebrows raising in a slow dawning of realization. “Holy shit, am I ever glad to see your amazing, r- uhh, figure, Red. I was two seconds away from shoving a couple of my balls down Kaz’s shirt. Because let’s face it, he is the prettiest out of all of us.” No time to actually explain what they were talking about, Jon reached behind them for their quiver, cycling through it to find the right orb.
“You busy? Wanna grab some Bacon?” Jon banged a hand atop their left vambrace, popping the locking mechanism. The crossbow snapped up and into place just behind their wrist and loaded it with an identical silver ball the size of a water balloon. In their hand, they still cupped the single orb they’d pulled previously and set to work on it again, eyes flashing silver. “Need a weapon?” They tugged loose the pipe they’d been hanging onto and held it out for Ko.
“Thanks for joining our rousing game of keep away. We gotta grab Bacon and get back to the building at the entryway. We win, bing, bang, boom.” Jon raised their arm, struggling to aim through the slowly thinning smoke in an attempt to try and block more of the stairwell with a Titanium Wrought. “Damn, I can’t see anything. Can you see the stairwell, Red? Gotta block Captain Runner from it.” Shit, what if he went out the window? Isaac was already upon their teacher, lobbing the balls they’d passed to him.
Moving around the girl, they leaned out the window to look down and spotted the owner of the booming bodiless voice, a guy they didn’t recognize at all. “Oh, god’s a handsome fucker. Or the devil, you know, I’m not one to judge who’s helping us all fire and brimstone like.”
They raised a hand to wave at Ife if he were to look up. “Oi,” they shouted down at him, their surprisingly loud voice carrying easily and threw out a thumbs up. “Windows!” They pointed at the row of now blown out windows lining the hall, “Keep an eye open!” Jon stepped back, paused and leaned precariously out again. “Don’t kill us.”
“Kaz, buddy, talk to me. Lemme hear you swear like a big boy.”
For all the blustering about not being able to strategize, Jon moved quickly to prove themselves wrong. “Uh, okay, um, Red.” Jon took off jogging down the hall toward the madness. “Bacon is a lover of the baubles. Sorry, not sorry, you’re the only one with them. We’ll talk about it later. Um… help Mr. Roboto?” Isaac could do with another hand or two. “And I got the stairs.” That sounded less optimistic, especially when they didn’t want to actually do it, wanting nothing more than to be mixed up in the fray.

all we can do now is follow the path we believe in
Some idiot was shouting.
Even through the noise of combat, Itsuka’s senses were enough to pick up on some newcomer to the mess that was their “training exercise”. Must be a new kid, he didn’t know anything about it but well, whatever, it was fine. He wasn’t so tight that he really cared about small things like that, they were here now so that’s all that mattered.
He felt the claw collide with a soft part of Kazume and retracted it as soon as he felt the impact, no need to get it damaged or give the kids any chance to seize it if possible. The teacher ran past the fallen teen, gripping his pet a little tighter as he made his way towards the stairs, his eyes still on the redhead. Going off his past experiences, it wouldn’t be very surprising if-
He was given a moment to react as he saw the boy click his fingers and he instinctively curled in on himself, shielding Bacon (who gave a loud, alarmed screech) and his vitals from harm. Sure, he had support gear that protected a ton of his main squishy parts but the one thing he didn’t really have was durability. When he focused his quirk on strength he was a little more durable but… he sacrificed most of it for maneuverability in his gear instead of being fully protected.
He felt glass shower on his back as the windows blew and rubble hit him, it was pretty hard to tense up to try and mitigate some damage from the flying debris but not too much and crush the pig. The moment it settled, he straightened up, the blast had made a gash in the left arm of his suit where he was not very well protected on his upper arm inbetween where his arm guards started and his shoulder protectors ended. A pretty big shard of glass embedded in the wound. Oh well, he’s had worse, he'd sort it when he got out of this mess and had a moment.
That was when he felt the rush of air as some kind of projectile was thrown at him again and he had no option but to block it with his harpoon attachment and it burst.
“...ugh…”
He glanced back and saw some silver. It was probably Green’s quirk, or at least some part of it. Well, he still needed to keep going, otherwise he’d get caught by the rest of the class. He ran to the staircase at the end of the hall, noticing his tail was far heavier now and gritted his teeth as he increased strength in his legs to keep moving. This wasn’t fucking ideal at all...
...well, he supposed this was much harder than last year, so at least the brats were making progress.
Loud clanging could be heard as he shot up the stairs. His harpoon head unable to float in the air like it usually did with the increased weight and dragging behind him like a training tire as he made it to the top of the stairs, kicking open the door and out into the rooftop.

[googlefont="Comfortaa"] ♡ TAGS WORD COUNT NOTES “ What?”Who he assumed was another classmate caught his attention, her skin was an odd color he could not pinpoint. Her energy and enthusiasm was felt in very little words, passion burning in her eyes to join the fray. Once he finished filling the bottom levels of ash, Ife’s eyes followed the girls movements as she ran around the building to a pipe. To his astonishment, she climbed that thing like nobody’s business. Frankly, it was confirmation that Ife had come to the right place. There was so many interesting people he had the blessing of being in the same school with! He silently admired her ascent until his concentration was broken by movement on the upper level windows. Debris and rubble sprayed itself everywhere, an explosion ringing Ife’s ears. Whoever was up there definitely was not shy with their quirk, using it in such close quarters. The girl somehow got lucky and entered through a different row of windows, but there was no way to assess the damages from the bottom floor. Dreads popped out from the window, its head turning and facing Ife before waving back at him before yelling something. Ife’s heart jumped with joy, seeing something so familiar in a land so far from his roots. He smiled and suddenly became at ease, drawing back his focus slowly to the present situation. “Oi--!” Ife grunted in response to affirm their commands, quickly realizing his height disadvantage. It was a better idea to get on the rooftop somewhere, preferably the same building Reaching out with his left arm, Ife shot out a steady stream of lava at an angle to the ground and moving it upwards, riding it like a paddle board on a river. He took to the skies, riding this stream past the broken row of windows where he turned his head to catch a glance of his classmates. He couldn’t really catch anything besides the giant robot, so continuing up he was able to reach the top of the building, it was only about five or so stories. He landed on a ledge, lagging behind who presumed was the teacher and a… pig? They were in the middle of the rooftop that was about 40 by 40 feet, with the surrounding buildings being a 30 foot jump or so. Ife was on the right side if someone were standing at the door, where the ledge started and perpendicular to the entrance. A stoic gaze fixed on his visibly tired teacher, he again raised his hand, though over his head and angled to his right side, spewing out a 10 foot wall of molten rock that raced across and dashed across the side before ending 10 feet short of the corner. His plan was to seal off the side and force the teacher to jump if he wanted to get over, then he’d be prone to a counter-attack where it would be difficult to dodge mid-air. He was pooped out though, breathing heavily and licking his lips to cease them from cracking, sweat beading down his face from his consecutive usage. A scowl escaped to his face, surprised at the abrupt stop of his flow from its intended target.

There was a split second in which he watched as a girl climbed through the window. Seconds before he could feel the trigger click and it was too late to go back. For a moment, a split second, he thought he had seriously fucked up. He had hurt people before, by accident (rarely on purpose, despite his less than charming nature), it was the fault in his quirk. He had gone most of his life figuring he'd only continue to fuck up, continue to hurt people, and so he was used to pushing people away. It felt safer that way, also less likely to blow up potential "friends" or whatever. Luckily, he saw Isaac step in front of her, in front of Jon, and then there was noise and dust filled the air. Visibility was obscured by follicles of dust. The stink of burning something drifting in the air. Whether or not he had even gotten Itsuka was unknown to him. For a moment, he couldn't breathe. It was likely a mixture of the impact to the chest, the heat consuming the oxygen at such a rapid pace, and now the dust in the air choking his lungs.
Truthfully, Kaz wanted to take a fucking nap, but pure grit and aggression drove him forward, unwilling to let that pathetic display be the extent of his effort. Blinking the patches of black from his vision, gritting his teeth and regulating his body heat until the pain in his chest and the ache of something broken in his side became distant. He couldn't be this fucking fragile, could he? Fuck that. He felt fucking feral with it, growling with irritation as Itsuka ascending up the stairs (albeit dragging a considerable weight around behind him), "No, you fucking don't."
"Be fucking useful already," He practically snarled at Jon, hunching slightly though was already moving for the stairs, despite not being fully recovered. It likely wasn't fair to accuse them of that or lash out, after all they had been plenty useful so far, but his temper was at a rather sharp and prickly end. It was never external fury so much as redirected internally. It was never good enough, never enough. He needed more.
He'd rest when he was dead.

SO IF THEY STRIKE YOU DOWN JUST GET RIGHT BACK UP 311 Words | oh hey whats up
Just as quickly as Kohaku gathered herself, the explosion went off. It was loud-- she had no time to react. Surely, she would be dead, or injured at least. But by some luck, a knight in shining armor came to her rescue, shielding both her and some other kid who had just slid off of the robots back.
As the flying debris began to clear, Ko sighed audibly. Looking around frantically, she recognized Jon and simpered at the robot-- another new guy? "Sssh*t, I thought I was a goner! Thanks dude!" Breathed the lass, calming herself down. The goblin girl dusted her brightly colored costume off while listening to the green-haired kid's explanation. "Bacon, right." Kohaku acknowledged, taking the pipe with little thought. Weapons were fun, especially impromptu ones, but her focus was elsewhere. What could she do to help, right now? Of course, the dust had not yet settled, but Green was buzzing around like a bee, and Isaac was having fun with balls. Both were making her restless. Just as she was about to take off to chase something, Jon continued their illustration of what was going on. "Uhhh, yeah yeah!" She said with a toothy grin. Frankly, the pointy-eared girl had dismissed the seemingly innocent ogling just before. Now it made sense. With a goal in mind, Ko trotted over to the robot. It was then that the pretty-faced boy bolted up the stairs after their target. Kohaku followed him on impulse.
Once she had reached the roof, she spotted Meka and the pig; Meka was really slowed down with that weight on his tail. Forwards she lurched, ready to swing back her pipe and really let him have it, when Ife let loose the lava. Ko held back for a moment, turning and grinning at the new kid. She was glad that he found a way up!

Through the haze of smoke Isaac could just barely make out the professor's shape as the metallic projectile hit it's mark and burst. "ypa!" He couldn't help from shouting when the orb expanded into a solid lump of steel around Itsuka's tail. The effects the additional weight had on his mobility were almost immediately clear, the appendage dragging slightly even as the former hero bounded onward to the stairwell. So perhaps that had taken care of the speed disparity? It was hard to tell in such a confined environment, but it was obvious enough that they had evened the odds a bit.
With the smoke clearing a bit more in the hallway, the boy finally managed to catch sight of Kazume again, who was in the process of dragging himself back to his feet. The redhead didn't seem to be in the greatest condition after their stunt, but even still he was forcing himself onward. Isaac had to respect that show of determination, even if the yelling proved a bit unnecessary. Frustration was understandable, but to the boy's eye everyone here was already contributing to the task in one way or another.
And on that note... As Kazume and the one Jon referred to as 'red' made for the stairs to pursue their fleeing teacher, Isaac elected to take another route and try to cut their target off. "If you're coming along Jonny, then hold on tight, da?" He gave the small senior a warning and a split second to decide before starting to move. Darting to one of the smashed windows, he took hold of the top of the frame and let the Raiju's strength take care of the rest, twisting through the opening and swinging itself upward in an acrobatic arc. He wasn't alone in his ascent however, taking notice of the other new arrival only a few feet away as the bulky man seemed to be riding up a wave of lava to the rooftop. Lava and ash, huh? Some type of volcanic quirk then, the Russian noted to himself while the Raiju continued to move, grabbing onto the edge of the roof itself and completing the climb with an agile flip.
And there they were.
Ahead Itsuka had just appeared from the stairwell, and from the sounds he could tell that the others were just behind. So, teacher was out in the open and slowed down by Jon's metal. The way back was blocked by the hero student, and the way forward was blocked by him and the mysterious giant. Simply put, this was probably the best shot they'd get.
As the living volcano went to work putting up a wall around the perimeter, Isaac threw both arms out to the side and bolted forward, a pair of metallic rods appearing from the Raiju's forearms as he rapidly closed the distance. A short crackle of electricity was all the warning the stun rods gave before the bot slipped in an let loose a quick flurry of blows. Assuming their teacher didn't have any sort of defense against electricity, any connection would deliver a crisp numbing shock. Anything to slow him down even a little bit more.

Wildly spread across his bed Kyo peacefully sleeps completely oblivious to the outside world. When suddenly his alarm starts to blare as he had set it upon getting back to the dorms late this morning "Ahhh, s****." groaned Kyo as he awoke just long enough to peer over at his clock. Placing his right palm on his face, the young speedster rattled around with the idea of skipping quirk training for the day. And for the most part the idea sounded terrific. At least until he remembered who the instructor for the training would be. "Meka." complained the senior. Dreading the idea of having to go to quirk training, Kyo nonchalantly gets himself out of bed as he starts getting himself ready for the day.
After grabbing himself a huge breakfast Kyo finally makes it to Ground Beta, though to add to his dismay he was now late. Which for anyone that knows Kyo, him showing up on time for any class was miracle. While at the same time a bit sad giving the fact that Kyo's quirk was all about speed. As he entered into the facility the young speedster would glance around a bit as he ventured further inside. With no sign of anyone Kyo smirked as he wondered if his prayers had been answered. Was training called off today, but as though signaled to rain on his parade Kyo would hear a loud explosion ring out from deeper within the simulated city. "Crap!" voiced the slightly annoyed and now disappointed speedster.
Realizing that it would be a waste to just turn around and leave after coming this far. Kyo figured he'd might as well see what all the commotion was about. After all he was slightly interested in what caused the explosion he heard. Taking a deep breath Kyo would then focus his mind, and with the sudden tensing of his of all his muscles a yellow electric current would erupt from his entire body. Creating a small outward forcing pressure as his entire body was not encased in a yellow electric aura. As he looked at his bear hands Kyo would mentally scold himself for not coming in his hero suit. "Oh well, what's a little quirk training without some risk?"
With that Kyo would take off as he ran toward the nearest building. As the building drew nearer Kyo without ever missing a step or slowing down would shift his momentum at just the right time with just enough force that he began running up the side of the building. Stopping only after he had reached the very top. Now at the top Kyo would look around in hopes of seeing something that would tell him in which direction he needed to go in. Kyo hadn't been on the rooftop for very long when he turned to his left just in time to see what looked to be someone erecting a wall on the ledges of a building. Most things didn't shock or baffle Kyo but things for the most part were really starting to look promising. From an explosion to a wall being made on a rooftop. "Damn, they've all gone and started the party without me. Better late than never." Following that Kyo would once again take off running, scaling down the side of his building with the building where everyone else was at as his ultimate goal.
Given Kyo's speed it didn't take long for him to reach the other building. And just like the the building before this one Kyo shifted his momentum and added the driving force he needed to start scaling this building. Zipping pass windows and leaping over the broken ones, which were starting to proven a real nuisance. Finally after scaling the extra height thanks to someone's 10 foot wall. Kyo leaps off the wall and goes into a summersault landing right beside Ife. Upon landing Kyo would quickly survey the area as he took in old faces, added with a few new ones. Slightly caught of guard Kyo would glance between the six foot giant he was standing next to and the bot that was currently on the move. "What in the hell is going on here? Who's the newbies?" asked Kyo as he finally set his gaze on Kunimoto, hoping she could answer his question.

“Yes!” Jon pumped their fist when their metal attack set off without a hitch, their teacher now lugging around a small, thick wall of metal. Their laughter was loud, bouncing around the hallway in raspy cackles tingeing on the almost chaotic. Their sharp grin and hunched shoulders didn’t help with the image. The attack was a little misshapen, clinging to a small, uneven surface and they’d never had a chance to really weigh the walls, only knew they were damn heavy and immovable once they fully formed. But, Meka was still moving, that damnable tail of his was strong.
But, before they could chase after, Kaz slipped forward through the fading haze of lingering debris and Jon immediately made a beeline toward him, a hand raised even when they knew it’d probably be slapped away. Happy to see he was mostly okay, standing totally meant he was fine enough. The cutting remark washed over them like water off a duck’s back and they very purposefully stuck out their tongue and blew an extremely sarcastic raspberry. It was all in the speed of it. Still their furrowed worry brow gave them away, Jon shifting themselves out of the others line of vision so no one but Kaz could see.
“Best get yourself some glasses, light of my life, cause I’m leaving you on Read.” Jon resisted the urge to help Kaz, knowing it would only cause more friction and as much as they enjoyed every aspect of their friend, they couldn’t afford an argument. “Kick his ass baby!”
With Kohaku in the know, they’d apologize later about staring, Jon figured she was everyone’s best bet. Their own self was a very far second option. Isaac had more of a chance getting Bacon to run to him than them and Jon was certain the pet pig was getting tired of being jerked around and would be very unhappy. Watching Red bolt, the teen sighed at the sight of the stairs and made a low, disgruntled sound. Why did it have to be stairs, they sucked on so many levels. Hoofing it up steps always slowed them down.
“My knight is shinning metal.” Jon scrambled up on Isaac’s bot at his offer, polite pleasantries thrown out the window as they grabbed and stepped anywhere to get them to a proper spot, the nearly forgotten metal orb in hand as an arm encircled the bot’s neck to hold on before they were out the window. Somewhere Jon’s stomach caught up to them and they slipped off in a stagger and quietly giggled under their breath. They could never get used to that and that’s what made it all the more fun.
There was no mistaking the flinch as they backed several feet away from the electricity backed rods even as they tried to make sense of the rooftop. Tall, handsome god dude had caged in part of the building top, Meka was caveman Spongebobing it and from the sound of it, the others stampeding the stairwell. The teen ran a hand down the front of their shirt and could practically feel the hair on their body stand on end and they gave a shudder to shake off the feeling. Even though they weren’t close to Isaac’s weapons, they could still feel it in the air. Electricity and Jon did not get along and they did not want to strain their dumb luck.
Pulling the Titanium orb they loaded in their vambrace, Jon stuffed it under the metal at their wrist, knowing it would stay put without breaking. They instead loaded a Lead Foot in its place and took aim, arm drifting to follow the path of Meka’s tail. If they could catch it and the ground at the same time, their teacher could potentially be stuck. Jon growled, Isaac was too close and their aim wasn’t the best and they risked hitting the bot instead. The arrival of a late student, the shocking bright orange hair a dead give away made Jon grin. These beautiful little deus ex machinas kept dropping in their lap and they weren’t about to look a gift speedster in the mouth.
“Kyo!” Jon shouted and wary of the hot wall, they slipped over to them and Ife, still keeping aim at their teacher. “Man, am I glad to see you, dude. Here.” They moved to hand them the blank orb they were holding onto before drawing back. “Whoops, wait. This one,” they said, pulling an identical orb from their vambrace’s sling and held it between three fingers. The ball had the texture and feel of a water balloon and even in the gentle embrace the sides indented under the lightest pressure.
“Careful, don’t break it on you or you’re fucked.” Jon warned dourly. “You like dodge ball, right? See if you can dash in and get Meka. I can’t.” They made a wide gesture to the bot and their teacher as if that would explain it. “It’s like a sticky mouse trap. Can’t run away if his tail’s caught!”
With a sharp exhale, Jon shoved a few loose dreadlocks that had escaped their hair tie away from their face, already feeling the uncomfortable stick of clothing in the surrounding warm air, though they were no stranger to the hot atmosphere Kaz exuded. “Sup, hot stuff, come to this rooftop often?” They winked at Ife, tipping their head back to get a proper look at the unfamiliar student. “Hang in there big guy, I need you to be big, bad and scary for me.” Jon twisted their attention back to the fight. “Direct at Bacon, our porky pig wannabe you see being squeezed in the teach’s hands. Gonna try and herd him to Red,” they paused and continued in a quieter, less assured tone, “and to a lesser degree me.”
