Walter sat in his office, completing paperwork as he usually did. The Headmaster had called a teacher's meeting to discuss various topics, among them the Sports Festival. A small smile crossed his face when he recalled his experience fighting with and against Tsubame for the recognition of pro heroes all across the nation of Japan. Walter remembered he had ultimately lost to Tsubame in the final one-on-one match at the Sports Festival, but he held no ill will toward her. Instead, it motivated him to become even stronger under the tutelage of a pro hero. Walter refocused his attention on completing his paperwork, though he couldn't help muttering, "Things were so much simpler then," as he signed various forms and added to the large pile of finished paperwork on his desk. The Headmaster stretched and leaned back, checking the time before returning to work.
The teacher's meeting was more than just an opportunity to discuss various topics with the teachers of U.A. Walter also looked forward to interacting with them in a group setting and seeing how each of them approached the responsibility of instructing the next generation of heroes. The Headmaster sighed as a single thought came into his mind: Tsubame. Though the two of them worked well together at U.A., Walter did not relish the idea of talking to her with others present considering what happened when the two of them were alone together. That encounter had hinted at a truth that he did not want to reveal at the present moment. Walter knew he would have to address what went unsaid between himself and Tsubame relatively soon, but her response to his truth worried him. Walter closed his eyes, calmed himself, and set back to work. "I wonder which teacher will get here first..." Walter said quietly to himself, uneasy thoughts swirling behind his brown eyes...

Okay, first of all, meetings required snacks. And that was a strength in Tsubame's corner. She was the master at snacking and often her office cabinets would be filled to the brim with them constantly. Though, due to her quirk, they also emptied quite fast. In either case, she had this in the bag. The memo she had gotten called for a meeting with all the teachers as well as the Vice Headmaster and the Headmaster. There wasn't any problem with this at all, except for that last part. The Headmaster. Walter. It was not going to be a problem to be in a meeting with him, buuuuut she decided that at all costs she would avoid talking about the previous night's happenings. Her face lightly went red with a blush as she remembered. Shaking her head hard, she stood up and went to go rummaging in her shelves for snacks to bring. However, upon further inspection, she did not have snacks in her office. Either she got very hungry and forgetful, or she had to confront a very hungry cat. It sometimes sucked to have two individuals who's quirk needed a lot of food and energy to power it. Sighing, she decided that it was just better to go get some from the convenience store. As if knowing that there were snacks involved, Kuro came up from under Tsubame's desk.
They were off quickly to make it in time to be in meeting and not be late. Again. It didn't take her long to get to the convenience store with Kuro. As soon as she walked into the store, the employee waved to her in greeting, as she was a regular of theirs, and asked if she needed any help. Tsubame declined since she didn't know exactly what to get, the teachers all had their different tastes, and decided to just grab a big basket and go around to the snacks. Kuro pointed out all the things he wanted, to which Tsubame ignored since these weren't for the cat, and promptly huffed as her owner kept looking and filling the basket regardless of her wants. Snack cakes, rice balls, dango, mochi, potato snacks, bento lunches, and much more was put into her basket. To be honest, her basket was overfull and it was almost comically full at this point. As she was walking past to go pay for it all, she noticed pocky, and thus picked some up with a smile at the thought of Aoi, one of the teachers. As she reached the front, she noticed two employees at the register with waiting bags and grins. Embarrassed once again for her large purchase, they kept grinning as they scanned all of it. She apologized like her usual as they just waved away any of her concern.
"We like when you come in, Takada-san, we are just so impressed you are able to fight as you do and still eat so much!" Even though the employee was giving her a compliment, she still felt her cheeks redden at it. Her quirk made her eat more than the normal person, but it was for a good reason. The other employee noticed and elbowed the one making the statement. They both apologized while Tsubame was the one to try to wave away their concern.
"I just have a problem with keeping my energy up. I have a high metabolism." It was a lame explanation, but an easy one people could understand without going into the specifics of her quirk. How her brother's managed to get away with eating so much and not get questioned is beyond her. After she got herself situated and paid for her purchases, she hefted the three heavy bags with her as she quickly jogged down the street back towards the school. She wasn't going to be late, or at least she didn't think she was goingl to be. Kuro jogged behind her, mewing with her displeasure over not getting any snacks for her. Grinning, Tsubame reached where the school gates eventually, and then she used her quirk to give her a boost. She didn't need the bone density, but it came with everything else that she was using. Pushing off the ground, Tsubame jumped up into the trees as she jumped from tree to tree to ledges of buildings to pathway lamps.
At long last Tsubame finally made it to the second story window that the meeting was being held in, which apparently was Walter's office, and proceeded to open the window to let Kuro in and then herself as she grinned slyly at the Headmaster. Even as quietly as she could walk with her training, she knew that he had heard her and smelled her once she opened the window. Without waiting for a second thought or word from him, she proceeded to put the three bags of snacks on his desk and dig through one until she grabbed his favorite snack and placed it right in front of him. "Well well well, hard at work like usual, Walter?" Tsubame smiled warmly at him as per her usual as she sat within the open window with a rice ball in her hand, chowing down with a grin towards him. She sat there waiting for more teachers to show up. Kuro meowed as she pulled a fish cake package over to Tsubame who opened it for her. She quietly waited for the teachers to come in as she made herself comfortable. Snacks made meetings into the best meetings.

Meetings. Aoi's favourite activity. Along with having to corral moody teenagers and having to talk to over zealous parents. Usually meetings with the administration meant that Aoi was going to be told off for being too strict. As if her day could get any better. One of her General Studies students complained to her about one of their classmates. Something about them sticking gum into their hair. Not something she had experienced personally but Aoi doubted she wanted to experience that. Dealing with that most of her off time during the day, she had very little time to work on anything else. She was finishing up the meeting when her phone alarm blared. She had to reassure one of the students that it was not relating to them. Regardless, she was off to the meeting with her usual assortment of work that she brought to them.
Balancing the tests she needed to grade in one hand and holding a cup of tea in another. Making her way through the school, she greeted the students that passed her by. She had been here long enough that people recognise her. She was not confined to just hero studies so even some of the general studies students were familiar. Sometimes she preferred them compared to her hero students. They usually did not get involved in drama that much or they were innocent bystanders in the drama as she learned. Apparently the girl who had gum in her hair was some sibling of some 3rd year hero student who messed up something for one of the other General Studies kids. Wow, how much she did not care.
Eventually, she got to the meeting room. Pushing the door open with her foot, Aoi entered the room. Unsurprisingly, she was not the first teacher to arrive. "Good afternoon, Tatham-san and Takada-san." Aoi nodded to them before finding a seat and blooping down her belongings.

Itsuka had gotten the memo about the staff meeting, as in, he had read something that was emailed to him for once in his life.
Sort of.
He wasn’t sure why he had to be there, then he remembered he was the homeroom teacher for 2-A now so maybe that had something to do with it. Damn whoever had roped him into taking on that role, usually he shrunk away from teacher-like activities like this but now he had no excuse. To be honest, he wasn’t all that interested in all this admin stuff, and he was sure he wasn’t going to be much help either.
When the bell went for the end of school, Itsuka made his way to the staff room. Nope, seemed like the meeting wasn’t there. Right… where did these people hold meetings again? The only one he had attended before this one was the one when he first joined U.A as staff- as they were introducing him to the other teachers he had been forced to attend, having been personally escorted by the head of Heroics.
After asking the secretary, he found out where it actually was held and slunk into the headmaster’s office, giving the blonde man a vague bob of the head in some kind of greeting and sitting in a chair in the corner. He wondered if he squashed himself in the corner enough, people would forget he was there (that used to happen quite often back when he was younger) and not bother him… that actually may be a pretty solid plan, he thought to himself before he caught sight of...a cat. What was a cat doing here? It was kinna cute...he wanted to pet it, but that meant standing up and being more visible...

Miu had somehow managed to hide 372 beads into his pockets.
Every time he moved, it was announced by the plastic clack of a butterfly bead hitting the tile. It was exceptionally difficult intimidating students into doing their work when he was literally assaulted by a 6 year old’s arts and crafts projects everyday. His teaching supplies were covered in stickers and crayon drawings. For whoever had first claimed that children were gifts, he hoped they had known much misfortune in their lifetimes.
"It shouldn’t take long, really. I’d really appreciate it. I— I knows she’s a bit of a handful, but…. She…. she did what? Wait, she set fire to... what?" He paled a little, cellphone pressed to the side of his face. It too had a colorful sticker on the back. "Okay, how about I pay you twice for the next hour or two while I deal with this meeting? Yeah? Thanks. I will replace it. Yeah." He hung up.
His child was the devil.
Kosei knew he was late to the meeting. He was usually late to most things though he liked to believe he at least had a reason for about 60% of those times. Kosei could be a brutal teacher in a way the other teachers weren’t. It wasn’t like his sole reputation as a teacher was that he kicked out students left and right, though that was not necessarily a lie either. It was simply a precaution, he liked to think he was being merciful. If students couldn’t keep up they weren’t cut out to fight against people like who he had been. It was truthfully because he cared. No one could accuse him of not feeling concern. The meeting was in the headmaster’s office, strangely. Kosei was expected to be there because somehow, by some means, he had ended up as 1-b’s teacher.
He attempted to slip into the office unnoticed; however, he was anything but inconspicuous.
"Apologies for my lateness."
He looked at Itsuka Meka with expression that said: Don’t say shit.
And then he found a seat and slipped into it looking like an exhausted, bedazzled mess. Then he heard the deafening sound of a dozen pink and purple butterfly beads clacking against the floor.
What has my life come to?

He didn't have to wait long at all before his question was answered and it was the most predictable answer, from his perspective. His sharp senses picked up Tsubame's presence as his ears heard the sound of her opening his window and his nose took in the familiar scent of his long-time companion. Walter looked up from his paperwork when Tsubame put the three bags of snacks on his desk and pulled out his favorite snack from one of the bags. The Headmaster glanced up as he heard her voice and knew that no other teachers had arrived yet. Walter ate his favorite snack quickly then considered his response. "My office does have a door, Tsubame. You could try using it just as a change of pace," Walter replied with a small sigh, though his tone was light and he smiled at her as he spoke.
The second teacher to arrive was Aoi Sato, who worked in both Hero Studies and General Studies. She was carrying quite a few things and as a result, had to open his front door with her foot in order to enter. Walter watched her set down her belongings and replied, "Good morning, Sato-san", cordially greeting a fellow teacher as was expected of him as the Headmaster. His eyes drifted over to Tsubame. Interacting with her in a group setting like this was less troublesome than interacting with her one-on-one at the present moment. However, an air of awkwardness still lingered between the two of them. Walter knew he had to talk to her alone in order to clear the air and maintain their professional relationship.
Itsuka Meka, the Heroic Studies instructor for Quirk Control, then made his way into the office and drew Walter's attention away from Tsubame. Meka-san did not verbally acknowledge him and Walter simply nodded back as the man sat down into a chair in the corner. Clearly, some teachers were more enthused about this meeting than others. The final teacher to arrive was Kosei Shiba-san, who taught class 1-B.
The Headmaster heard him apologize for his tardiness, but Walter smiled lightly and said, "It's all right. Thank you for coming." Walter surveyed the room and decided to begin. "I appreciate all of you making it to this meeting. I'd like to start off the meeting by asking you all to report any notable activities, particularly student disputes, that might require my attention. If there is anything I should know, please tell me now." Walter spoke steadily, looking around the room at Sato-san, Meka-san, Shiba-san, and finally resting his gaze upon Tsubame. Surely, someone had something to tell him...

It was her third rice ball that she had bitten into. These things were filling and did well to help satisfy her hunger until she could get something better. When Walter had responded to her coming in through the window, she just grinned at him as she bit into another rice ball. It was not uncommon to find Tsubame entering rooms through windows or other various entrances. She was not the typical sort of person. It was not long until the next few teachers walked in through the door to come to the meeting. The first was Aoi Sato, the teacher that Tsubame depended upon often when it came to new students. She had hoped to talk to her about 1-A and about Hyousuke Suzuki, the student that she currently has coming to detention for starting fights. As his teacher, Aoi might have some insight on how to help the boy with his issues that Tsubame might have overlooked. Kuro munched happily on her fish cake as the next few teachers came in after Aoi. While she hadn't responded to Walter, she did swallow a mouth full of rice and salmon in time for her to wave at Aoi with a friendly smile. "Aoi-chan! It's good to see you! You and I should talk later when you are free, yeah?" While it was imperative that Tsubame talk to her about one of her students, she also knew that Aoi was rather busy and would talk to her on the teacher's own time rather than Tsubame's own.
Next came in Itsuka Meka and soon after Kosei Shiba. Kuro perked up her ears at the new people who came in. Since her snack was gone, she had to turn her attention elsewhere. Tsubame watched her cat walk up to Itsuka first and give him a sniff before brushing up against the man's leg. Kuro had a good judge of character, or at least Tsubame relied on Kuro's judgement when it came to others she didn't know that well. Hopefully she can get to know more teachers and staff throughout her time as vice headmaster. As soon as Kosei Shiba had entered, Kuro mewed at him as she bat at his leg as well as the beads that seemed to fall to the ground. She was curious, but would hold her tongue. Tsubame wasn't sure why, but she just figured Kuro was being her usual odd self. A cat with a size quirk was definitely an odd cat to have. Kosei looked tired. Tsubame wondered why, but she figured that he had his reasons and she didn't need to pry. Motioning towards the snack bags, Tsubame greeted them all with a wave as she stood up next to Walter's desk. She listened as Walter spoke, asking for any information and updates on recent events as well as any problems with students. One came to mind, it was Hyousuke. She had already sent the notice and memo to the school board explaining her decision, but she was fairly certain she never told Walter about it.
Without much thought, she picked up one of the big bags of snacks and dumped it onto Walter's desk with a mischievous grin. She picked up a pack of wrapped sushi and proceeded to lean against the window again as she popped one in her mouth. Tsubame was not shy, nor would she act shy while in front of her staff or even Walter. She thought about it and decided to start with the small stuff first. Hyousuke didn't need any further involvement from Walter, but she thought it should be brought to his attention. Popping another piece in her mouth and swallowing quickly, Tsubame spoke up as she crossed her legs while she sat in the window. "Bonjour, everyone! It's wonderful to see everyone that came." Tsubame replied cheerfully as she then turned back to Walter with a neutral expression on her face as she started. "Recently I have had to discipline a student from 1-A named Hyousuke Suzuki. He had been caught fighting off campus. Again. However, with input from the school board, again, I decided on a week's worth of detention as well as some extra lessons with me would be suffice to punish the boy." Tsubame had been kind when dealing with Hyousuke, but she knew that her kindness would not protect the boy forever and that she had to get to the bottom of the boy's issues before he did something again to then get himself expelled. She hoped that the detentions and the extra lessons would do him some good in the long run. She had been like him when she was younger as well, so she understood.
"That is just a small incident, and I am taking care of it so it isn't something to worry about. What does need talking about was the previous incident that happened at the school with the bombs and the villains. The school was compromised. That requires extra attention to look after the fact. However, the good thing about it was that the students and staff did a good job of protecting the school and town from the danger. I was called to disable bombs in the town, so I only know what the reports said about the school." She hadn't known the specifics about what happened at the school, but she trusted her staff and they pulled through for the students and the school as well as the town. Tsubame grew silent again to let the others talk and say what they needed to. Kuro leaped up onto the desk as she pawed at Walter before stealing another fish cake and retreating towards Itsuka to eat her prey in peace.

Aoi sighed before, trying to remember if there was any issue in her class. Other than what Tsubame mentioned, there wasn't much. There was her student who had brain cancer but she doubted that the admins cared too much about that. She probably was just another example for them to us when they go on their PR stunt. "Oh look, this kid from famous hero parents is at our school! Go watch the Sports Festival!" She really hated this place because she knew it would be something they would pull. Shaking her head a bit, she just scrummage through her notes to see if she had anything of note to bring up.
Finding some, she sighed. It was general studies stuff that she doubted anyone would care about. She would not being doing her job if she didn't bring it up. "Well, some general studies students voiced frustrations with how U.A. treats them. They feel a bit forgotten about. That's about it." She nodded a bit, closing the notebook that she had written her notes in. Stretching a bit, she wondered what the other teachers would say to her comments but she wasn't holding her breath on it.

Oh good.
The cat came to him instead.
That solved Itsuka’s dilemma, and meant he got to play with the cat. 10/10 turn of events. When that annoying asshole came in late (as usual.), a small shift of the blank faced man’s brow spoke many words that he didn’t voice. He didn’t need to, he knew the other male knew what he wanted to say already as the man shot him a glare.
As the beads clattered all around the room, one bounced and hit Itsuka on the forehead as he wasn’t really paying attention to the small multicoloured plastic shrapnel.
…
That bastard…
That was clearly 100% an intentional attack on him. See, some people said his aggro towards the other man was uncalled for, or a little over the top but really, who could blame him when the other started 60% of their clashes? Just because the man formerly known as Crimson Rook acted as if he was more civil and Itsuka was a man of few words or actions… this was discrimination!
With a barely audible sigh, Itsuka’s good hand went down to pet the small creature at his feet before the other teacher started speaking and he sort of listened. He guessed the sooner he responded, the faster this would go, and the sooner he could go home and nap.
Discipline a kid in 1-A, huh? He had no idea who the kid was, especially when the woman just referred to the problem child by a name (like he remembered anyone’s name) and he personally didn’t see an issue with fighting out of campus (he used to do it all the time when he was a student in Shiketsu) but he didn’t say anything verbally.
“Dunno either.”
He simply replied when he realised he probably had to say something.
“...was at hospital getting rid of mobs. But I dunno, guess next time I’ll just stay at school cos dragon bad guy turned up right? And young old woman. That’s like 2 top 10 villains. And apparently there were more too?”
He did actually read the report after, and heard stories but he didn’t recognise the other villains that had apparently been there, which meant they must be new ones. Talking of villains, what had Kosei been doing that day anyway? He didn’t see him anywhere, come to think of it...

Kosei gave Itsuka a look that begged for him to speak up and say something, emphasized only by the pop of a colorful bead popping the other man in the forehead. Through a miracle he suppressed a snicker but not the crooked smirk on his face. He didn't actually think his mood could lift right then, but that had a pretty good effect on him. Before anything could be said or any ridiculous declarations from the tiny man could be said, the meeting resumed and it was all business. Truthfully, Kosei hadn't fallen in the teaching job naturally. It took a measure of decency and patience to be able to withstand most of the trivialities of hero & teacher work. Like discussions of events, especially ridiculous events like the sports festivals. He enjoyed seeing kids smack each other silly as much as the next sadistic instructor, but broadcasting them and parading them around like a bunch of commodities was a particular distaste of his. And then there was disciplinary actions. He had pretty decent rule in his class: don't get caught and don't get beat. If he caught them doing stupid shit, or even worse if someone else did and brought it to him, well they would very likely hate their life for a good long while.
"Did he win at least?" Oh crap did he say that out loud? It was a 1-A student so it wasn't exactly his concern, though if it had been 1-B that had caused trouble or were starting fights well.... they better fucking be the winners. Nothing more insulting or embarrassing then having the punk asses in his class picking fights they couldn't win, but luckily most of his kids weren't the vainglorious types that were found in 1-A, it was less trouble that way. He glanced around, everyone had to be thinking that right? But bringing attention to himself, likely the only person in this room that hadn't followed the brightly lit road or attended fancy hero schools, was not exactly an great idea. Kosei liked to believe that gave him a different, fresh perspective on things, but really it was likely more of a bad excuse.
Maybe it was clear to him because he had a 6 year old girl that could pull off a bristling silent treatment like no one's business, but he could tell that the 1-A teacher was fuming over something or other. He didn't necessarily care, and he didn't have the tact to properly negotiate a response, but instead simply responded with: "Do you believe they are being ignored?" Kosei Shiba was rough around the edges, and probably every where else too, though he never presumed to understand anyone's motivations—he also didn't enjoy fucking around with problems.
Villain Attack.
Did he even need to look at Itsuka to know exactly what that fucker was thinking? It didn't exactly look good when the teacher with the criminal history was not on campus during the night of an attack. And he had certainly received plenty of heat for it already. He was likely lucky to still even fucking be there after it all. Would it have even made a difference? Maybe, he certainly knew that if he had been around and someone threatened his kids, there'd be more to cover up including a few decimated villains, but he hadn't. He hadn't even been around to tell them not to fall for the oldest fucking trick in the god damn book.
"Next time?" His expression turned to Itsuka at that. "If anything protecting students should be our first concern right? Getting pulled anywhere is not our jobs anymore. The school didn't get compromised it got f..." He shook his head then to keep from speaking too much, knowing he was the last person that should be discussing it considering he was in Tokyo at the time, with his kid. Not at the school or disabling a bomb. SO perhaps he was a hypocrite for even stating it, but regardless of where he had or hadn't been what he had come back to was a god damn cluster fuck. He motioned at Itsuka, "At the hospital getting rid of mobs? Disabling bombs? If a kid had died that night we would not be having this conversation like a parent-teacher conference. We'd be in front of cameras begging for forgiveness for having people put trust in our incompetence. Myself included," He added giving Itsuka a look, "I, for one, know that if my kid was going here and that attack happened? I would not be here to pat you on the back and tell you 'it's okay maybe next time.' We're lucky were not getting skewered right now, I would do nothing less."
He let his temper retreat, having not wanted to let it out, but the conversation had been a tricky one at best and no one was saying what needed to be said. Regardless of what happened, they were fucking failures.

There was plenty for him to hear, it seemed. Walter rested his eyes on Tsubame as she mentioned a student fighting off-campus and reported that she punished him with a week's worth of detention and extra lessons. Despite himself, a look of understanding passed over his face upon thinking about a student fighting off-campus. He hadn't done it himself back in the day, but he knew Tsubame certainly had and wondered if that influenced her approach to the situation. Since this was apparently the student's second offense, Walter thought he might deal with it more harshly if it was up to him. Oh, well, Walter thought, trusting Tsubame's judgment in handling the situation. Walter sighed and listened intently as Tsubame described villains compromising the school and planting bombs in the town. "I'll increase the school's security further, review our security procedures, and figure out how the school was compromised so it doesn't happen again," Walter responded, adding all that to his mental to-do list. His brown eyes glanced down at Kuro the cat, who pawed at him then retreated with a fish cake taken from his desk.
Sato-san said that some general studies felt ignored by the school. "I'll see what I can do, Sato-san," Walter replied, tactfully not making any promises. Of course, he didn't want any students to feel ignored. On the other hand, the hero studies classes generally required more of his attention and time than the general studies class. He only had so much time in the day to address everything happening at UA. Walter raised an eyebrow at Itsuka-san, somewhat irritated by how casually he discussed the villains' compromising of UA. The implication that there would be a next time also bothered him. "This is a serious incident, Meka-san. Also, there won't be a next time. I'll take appropriate measures to make sure of that." Walter sighed. He also didn't think it was becoming of a teacher to talk about such an incident as casually as one would talk about the day's weather. Walter's attention turned to Shiba-san.
The first words from Shiba-san made Walter pinch his temples and close his eyes in frustration. "That's hardly the issue, Shiba-san," Walter said, a tinge of annoyance in his voice. He simply watched and listened as Shiba-san responded angrily to Meka-san about his comments regarding the villain incident at UA. Walter found it difficult to argue with anything that Shiba-san had said. "You're right. That is why, as I said, I'll make sure that there isn't a next time for such an incident. All we can do is ensure something similar doesn't happen again and move forward, Shiba-san," Walter stated, reiterating his point from earlier in the meeting. Frankly, Walter wasn't surprised that there were strong feelings in the room about villains compromising UA. His brown eyes surveyed the office and he waited to ensure that no one else had anything to report to him. "If that's all, we should move onto the next order of business," Walter said, unlocking a drawer in his desk and pulling out several files...

Ooooh, she knew it would end up tense at some point with the subject of the recent incident. As much as she could try, she wasn't sure what she could do to help prepare for the next except hire more heroes to patrol the school and outside the school. Her areas of expertise relied on doing things old school and less technological. She could leave the tech stuff to the rest of the staff if she could just deal with people and simple ways to help. Tsubame sided with Kosei, though quietly as she watched the other teachers talk it out. There shouldn't be a next time, and if they planned correctly, there won't be. At Kosei's question of whether he won or not, Tsubame chuckled in her good nature with a shrug. "I do not know, but if you want to ask him, I won't stop you." She knew about Kosei's villainous background, as she had to know all of her staff's background to a point. Not everything, but some of the major things had to pop out when applying for a job at UA. Due to Tsubame's own feelings about how to handle situations, she had the same question when the folder of Hyousuke Suzuki was put on her desk. The look she got from her secretary was not one she wanted to get again, but she was curious. Either way, she hoped to put the boy at least on the right path that was meant for him. In the back of her mind, she hoped it would be one of the hero paths. When Aoi brought up about some general studies students feeling forgotten, Tsubame frowned and thought about it for a moment. "Well, if you'd like, Aoi-chan, either Walter or myself can help remedy that situation and if you have any suggestions on how to go about it as well, that would be a big help." Smiling at the woman gently, she took another cheerful bite out of the snack cake in hand. Silently Kuro rubbed up against Itsuka, wanting more attention. That cat knew how to work people.
Tsubame knew that the incident was not handled to the best of their ability and if things had went south, she would be in ten times more trouble than she had been at the time. She had gotten pulled into meetings, press conferences, letters to the school had to be answered and gone through. All of it took several days and even now she still received worried parents frantically sending emails while Tsubame tried to help calm their fears. "You're right, Kosei-sensei." That was all she said at first after Walter had said his piece. Walter seemed to be taking this all on himself and Tsubame was irritated at that. He should know to allow others to help, but now was not the time to lecture him. Her voice was an odd mix of her usual casual soft tone and her hard 'Gatekeeper' tone that she used when focused in fights. "What happened could have been horribly worse, but we have to count ourselves lucky that it did not become like you described. Instead of getting angry over it, or even just acting casual over it," Tsubame glanced at Itsuka quickly before scanning the room again of the staff. "We have to work together to protect what we have. Our students are our top priority and it will take everyone to keep things from becoming like that again. We learn from our mistakes and move on." Tsubame looked tired as she continued, the stress of the vice headmaster was up there with the headmaster, but she worked herself ragged and after the incident, she didn't get good sleep. "How about this, Kosei-sensei, you and some other teachers make a committee that can help improve the security of the school as well as help the students and other teachers prepare for the future. While we can hope there won't be a next time, my experiences with things like this tell me there is always a possibility. Since you and Itsuka-sensei seem to be well acquainted and already work well together for the most part, you both can gather at least three more teachers or even pro heroes already on the field and work on this problem. I will work with you as well as the Headmaster in anything you might need."
It was a gamble putting them both together, but it was a bet she was willing to take. As long as the school didn't get pulled into another incident that involved the two of them fighting it out and screaming at each other. She knew what she was doing, but just like in her youth, she put her trust in others almost to a fault. The seriousness of their conversation was tense in the air, but that did not stop Tsubame from pulling out another cup of already made cold noodles with some very tasty sauce. She kept her cheerful attitude as she ate, not caring that others were watching. "Quite right, Walter! I think the sports festival is coming up next. I for one can't wait to see our students perform and show us what they learned."

Well, I guess that is dealt with. Security risks assessed and problems solved. Aoi thought, sighing a bit as she graded some papers while listening to the her colleagues. It was chatter she did not care about. She cared little about her colleagues exploits and disagreements. She was a teacher and she was there to teach children to be future heroes and not total assholes when they grow up. The last being more of a hope than anything else. Then her least favourite topic came up. The annual showboating of U.A. High School. Sports Day was her least favourite activity the school undertook. From forcing General Studies kids to compete against kids with far more powerful quirks. It was cruel. It also really didn't show off all of what the school had to offer. Not everyone had a flashy quirk that appealed to the attention starved masses. Kids who could become great heroes get chased out of the profession because they get chastised by some national audience. There were a couple students that she had concerns about but she was going to talk to them later about that.
"What do you want me to do? I'll prep my class for Sports Day. Is there anything else?" Aoi asked, still grading some papers. "I can announce one of the events, I guess..."

“I dunno, think about it. Heroes in training and others going to a famous hero school who should be prepared and know at least a little of what to do, VS a bunch of sick civs who had a bomb strapped to the base of the building. You tell me who’s meant to be able to protect themselves more. If anything only failure here is that we all didn’t instruct these idiots to be able to deal with stuff like this better. Have heroes in the last decade forgotten we ain’t some over commercialised idols and actually in a job where we can die at any moment and only person who’s gonna be blamed is ourselves? If any parent is so scared of losing their kid, this job really ain’t the career path they should be putting them on and as professionals, guess we should be the ones reminding them of that.”
Itsuka raised a brow, his expression shifting ever so slightly though his tone was as tired as ever, first at Kosei, then at Walter.
“Yeah, I know it’s serious, that’s what kinna sucks, doesn't it? Would be good if it was all a joke, to be honest. I dunno what you are thinking about the things that happened, ‘Head, but if the bad guys can take down Doc’s systems, I wouldn’t be underestimating them like that. Yeah, sure, ‘Will never happen again’, ‘Will up security’...like, say those kinna nice sounding things to the press, but let’s be real serious here as we are uh… colleagues or something like that, right? As you prob can see, every year the kids are getting stronger than we used to be at that age. Which means same with the bad guys. And unless you got some super system makin’ person who can come up with stuff Doc could only dream of, then… can kinna safely say that if they wanna do it, it’ll happen again. Just how we deal with it is what’s important, ain’t it? Like, I heard whole school went into panic, increased the injured numbers, we should be better than that, we are a hero school. Ain’t just regular civs we have here, but heroes, support and managers who are meant to be the major players in the world out there in a few years time. Guess we all gotta realise that we are in the high and mighty U.A afterall, attacks will happen and we gotta be prepared and so do the kids so they don’t run about like headless chickens if left to their own accord, unless you gonna tell me some way this ain’t ever happening again... and even then the kids need more training or they’re gonna die out there for sure.”
Ugh, he talked way too much, it wasn’t his style to say more than a sentence or two at a time but well, if he was put up to it, he guessed he had to respond. Never underestimate was a strong policy of his, and he guessed people like the Headmaster who graduated from U.A wouldn’t really understand, but a ton of kids simply dedicated their lives to going "above and beyond" U.A and their staff and students, meaning they grew up into adults that thought that way too. So they all had to get better at dealing with it rather than burying their heads in the sand and insisting it will never happen again if they tinkered with the systems a little.
Also there may have been a hint of salt at having a person who’s work he greatly looked up to dismissed like that. As far as he understood, it wasn’t that the systems failed or something, they really were facing attacks from people who were simply able to compromise the system.
He was listening to the start of the vice head master starting to try and rationalise and calm everything down when he switched back into lull-mode, where he was actually not really listening to anything that was going on. Talking in general made him tired and sleepy, it’s why he hardly did it. He didn’t even hear all the things the woman was talking about with the instruction that himself and the ex villain should work with eachother.

Walter figured that there would be healthy disagreement about how to respond to the most recent incident involving deranged civilians attacking UA. The Headmaster found out that he was quite correct and was happy to listen to Tsubame discuss it with the teachers for the time being. When it seemed that Tsubame had finished talking and Sato-san didn't respond, the Headmaster was about to speak when Meka-san responded and talked at length about how the school needed to prepare its students much better for crises such as the previous incident with the civilians. After waiting for Meka-san to finish, Walter decided to add his final input into the conversation. "It is important to recognize that we need to respond to such crises better and our students clearly need additional training in dealing with such situations. Meka-san is clearly right about that. Perhaps several mandatory courses about crisis response should be added to the curriculum next semester." The Headmaster realized that any security issues aside, the response to the incident was greatly lacking and that had to be addressed. Walter took the safety of UA students very seriously, so he was willing to do whatever it took to ensure that they could handle any danger that somehow managed to compromise the school's security systems.
The topic of the Sports Festival was a welcome change of pace considering the tension of the previous conversation. Walter nodded and smiled at Tsubame when she expressed her desire to see how UA students performed at the Sports Festival. The Headmaster glanced over at Sato-san and replied, "Thank you, Sato-san. I would appreciate it if you could announce one of the events," his tone more conversational than it had been previously. Walter had fond memories of his own time participating in the Sports Festival, although he did ultimately come up short against Tsubame in the one-on-one combat portion of the event. He was young and underestimated Tsubame, so he had learned his lesson via Tsubame knocking him out after battering him with powerful blows. The Headmaster looked around at all the gathered teachers and said, "In addition to everyone preparing their classes, you all should feel free to speak to Tsubame or me about any other concerns you have about the Sports Festival. Supporting teachers is one of our primary goals as the heads of UA." Walter glanced back at Tsubame after he finished speaking, ready to conclude the often contentious meeting and let all the teachers return to their work. He was sure that they all, like himself, had plenty to do before the Sports Festival took up absolutely all their free time.
