Roman is a collection of sharp edges all composed into an unapproachable, rather intimidating being at first glance. He prefers to present himself as a weapon, callous and deadly if you look too long, and for the most part he succeeds in keeping others at bay. Tall, muscular, exceptionally... Russian... in humor, he's not what one might consider cute and cuddly (some might dare to though). There are periods of time though that his health degrades, due to a debilitating health condition he's had since he was born, leaving him pale, gaunt, dark circles be low his eyes, and shaking. Though he does well not to show this weaker side of himself. He tends to dress in pretty much whatever he can find, he's not overly picky, though has a tendency to army boots and leather jackets for the sake of aesthetic. His vigilante costume is a steely, fur lined, black armored suit, and red helmet.
PERSONALITY
LIKES CigarettesFirearms Cooking Fast Cars | DISLIKES CriminalsPolitical Bullshit Hangovers Rich assholes |
RUMOR/SECRET: | Accidentally murdered the child of mob boss during his bloody crusade. |
Roman is a self-inflicted ticking time bomb. But what does one expect from someone who had been on the edge of death since the day they were born? In summary: he is a bit of a dry, nihilistic bastard with enough of an edge to seem intimidating, but in truth he is utterly soulless. He enjoys drowning his problems in adrenaline and sin. Alcohol, drugs, danger is all well enough to feed his demons. A psyche might suggest he is a brutal, opinionated individual, equipped with a wide array of anger management issues and family-inflicted psychological problems resulting in a cruel and morally-ambiguous sense of justice. In truth, he's mostly just a sad, grumpy bastard with a bit of a feisty temper.
He lives life the only way he knows how, as if every breath might be his last. It doesn't make him any more free, any more happy, or enlightened. Likely more miserable is anything. At heart, he is not a bad person. He is loyal to few and captivated by the bold and the brave, but he doesn't have the gut to commit to it. He has a firm philosophy, a truth, stronger than any religion, that guides him. And it states that every motherfucker is inherently guilty of something, but for those that feed into those weaknesses, he'll kindly put them out of their misery.

BACKGROUND HISTORY
PLACE OF BIRTH/HOMETOWN: | moscow, russia |
PARENTS: | |
SIBLINGS: | ilia sokolov (younger brother) |
SIGNIFICANT OTHER: | thankfully no |
OTHER: | nope |
Roman, or originally Dmitri, had been raised with the kind of anticipation one might feel awaiting the demise of a particularly undesirable pet. Though he had never quite blamed his parent's brand of abuse, after all, he had been such a weak waste of oxygen at the time. He had been born with a debilitating lung disease, making it particularly hard for him to breathe and sickness quite common for him. He was often weak and considered inferior among his family who were about as kind as a pack of wolves that considered weaknesses with absolute disgust. Most importantly they were quite formidable assassins that were unchallenged in the art of murder. Simple to say a sickly child didn't really appeal to them, especially when their reputation needed to remain intact, so they dropped the child off at an orphanage the second that they could. Dmitri (identity unknown to those at the orphanage) was renamed Roman Black and raised through the goodwill of the catholic church.
His disease was regularly treated by a nun by the name of Sister Grace, who had a healing quirk, but found that the nature of the disease made it unable to permanently cure. However, they later found that the progression of his quirk helped to stabilize the condition so that the effects of his illness would only be revealed under extreme physical duress, which was conceived to be very manageable. Roman stayed within the orphanage throughout his young years and worked under the church, until the day he turned 14 and a robbery lead to blood and death, and consequently the murder of Sister Grace and the priest that had raised him. A robbery gone wrong, the news would later proclaim it, but Roman knew that it was anything but accidental.
A few days later he was approached by a friend of the family, and asked to reclaim his place. He accepted, if only to learn what they had to teach and connect them to the murders of those that raised him. The teachings of his family were supposed to cement the ideology that they were the judge, jury, and executioners to everyone in their path (innocent or guilty), but instead it simply cemented within Roman's mind that the world was a dark, ugly place that needed correcting and he would become the executioner of the wicked instead. The same boy that they threw away for being weak would later become the man that killed them without mercy.

QUIRK & SKILLS
WEAPON CREATION
TYPE: Emitter
RANK/LEVEL: C
SUMMARY:
Similar to most creation quirks, however, Roman's quirk specializes primarily in the creation of weapons. This is more due to his rather solitary focus on offensive capabilities rather than the limitless possibilities of his quirk. He could likely create just about anything but does not focus on the principles or material composition of other objects (they come out half-assed, essentially). But his weapons are pretty near flawless with the right amount of concentration. Rather than creating just from his own body, he is capable of producing weaponry from different substances such as concrete and metal, substituting molecular differences with his own body fat. The larger and more complex the object, the longer it takes to manifest (2 full posts at least at minimum for large weapons). Blades and smaller fire arms can manifest quite easily (in the span of a single post). He can also supplement for the inconsistency or flaws of natural weapons and even add certain "flares" (such as explosive ammo). He knows every inch of a wide variety of weapons, their materials, and the time requirements that go into making them. He can only create one large/complex weapon/object in the span of two posts, he cannot just keep creating so after about 3 large weapons his health starts to deteriorate. Small weapons can be rather numerous depending on the mass of the object, something light like a throwing knife can come in dozen (about 3 per post). The more weight/mass, the greater the deterioration. If it matches his body weight, meaning that 100 pounds worth of objects created with just his own body mass is the equivalent of the same taken out of himself, he's physically incapable of sustaining that amount of bodily depletion (especially not at rapid rate). So for every 10 pounds, the amount he is able to create rapidly goes down.
WEAKNESSES/LIMITATIONS:
His greatest flaw is the time restraint, even on easier weaponry, a sudden shift in the tide of a fight could require him to change his strategy entirely due to the required time limit needed to create certain objects. Another flaw is his stubbornness in focusing on primarily weaponry when his quirk can expand to so much more than just that. His creations require concentration and without that, there can be flaws, so this requires him to strategize before a fight. He cannot create anything living and every creation requires an equal cost. Nothing comes free. Even when he uses external substances like cement or metal, he must also give part of his own body (which isn't altogether reliable a resource as it is). If he has nothing to substitute, he must resort to using his resource, body fat, etc. This take more out of him and he must regularly eat and rest to compensate. Extended use debilitates his body and in turn kick starts his lung disorder, making for a very sick and vulnerable s.o.b. He is still relatively human, his quirk can boost his healing, but that part focuses entirely on keeping his degenerative disease stable. Otherwise, he has no actual defenses that would keep him from being damaged in any way humanly possible.

WEAPON PROFICIENCY
RANK/LEVEL: C+
SUMMARY:
Roman with a weapon is about as deadly as one can get, having been trained by his family (a renowned group of assassins/mercenaries). He is brutal and doesn't hold back in a fight, showing little to no moral hesitation for anyone he considers deserving of it. He can handle just about any kind of weapon, however, regularly has to train his mind and body to be able to handle these weapons. And all weapons have flaws, they jam, they break, they dull. He has to compensate for that.
HAND-TO-HAND COMBAT
RANK/LEVEL: C
SUMMARY:
Proficient at Jujitsu, Aikido, and Krav maga. He is capable of handling himself in a fight. His biggest weakness is himself and his aggressive nature, making him more open to retaliation.
