It was a nice cool Saturday afternoon, and most of Japan was still buzzing about the Sports Festival. It had been a few days but the excitement and electricity still lingered in the air. However for a certain first year all the buzz and hype was nothing more than a reminder of how he had missed out. Though he didn't regret going to the states for his grandfather's funeral. He did regret missing out on a huge chuck of the school year added with not being able to take part in one of the biggest and most broadcasted events in all of Japan. Plus he'd have much rather been in school working on his quirk instead of being on what pretty much resulted in a long winded tour/celebration of the Jackson Family. Not to mention the fact that he constantly had to deflect and ignore the never ending inquiry into why the youngest Jackson member turned down the prestigious invitation to Shiketsu High. Yes, Keni's trip to the states were a mixture of delight and annoyance. Which was only inflated by the sighting of his ex and his new boyfriend. In Keni's opinion his ex definitely traded down. With an annoyed sigh and a subtle head shake Keni attempted to clear his mind of his negative thoughts. For as a pro hero in training he couldn't allow his mind to be weighed down with such novelties. All that mattered now was that he was officially starting UA. So with slight a exhale and a look of determination in his eyes the young air manipulator exited this families town car, grabbed his bags and began making his way towards the UA Dormitories.
After finally making his way to his room, Keni dug into his back pocket and pulled out the key he was issued upon his return. Fitting the key in the hole and with a turn he'd opened the door to his new sleeping quarters. As keni entered into the room he'd leave the door open as he made his way to the corner of the room before dumping his bags on the floor. At first glance the young Hedatori was underwhelm by the simplicity of his new abode. "Hmmmm, I guess this will do." Looking around Keni would inspect his closet before looking over to the desk his father had sent ahead of him in anticipation for Keni's arrival. It was an antique Mahogany desk added with both gold and blind tooling tops. Fine marquetry inlay. To add to it there was a file drawer, adjustable to hold either letter- or legal-length files. Pullout writing surface on each side is 14 ½"w and extends a full 18", with tooled leather matching desk top. Solid brass handles. Overall 60"w x 36"d x 30"h. "Leave it to dad to over do it. This desks looks so out of place here."Keni would mumble to himself, though a small smile would glimmer through. For though Keni's dad wasn't a pompous tool, he did love to shower the people in his life with gifts no matter how uncomfortable it made them feel.
As his mind ran on his big hearted father, he soon found find himself thinking about his mom. Then without wanting to Keni would find himself lightly chuckling to himself as he couldn't wrap his mind at how an amazing pro hero his mother was, given her tomboy disposition. Especially with all the fights she seemed to constantly be getting herself in. But that's who she was, it didn't matter who or why. She would always stand up for the little guy. Even a cashier who was being berated by a jacka** customer. Placing his right palm over his face Keni would uncontrollably find himself bursting into laughter as he replayed the shopping fiasco in his mind. With how my parents are, it's a wonder how I turned out to be such a perfectionist, thought the air user. Following that thought Keni would lay on his bed and pull out his phone as he began looking up information on his home room teacher. Best to find out who or what I'll be dealing with.

A transfer student! So soon after the sports festival at that! No, supposedly, he had a family emergency that lasted ages. Well, either way, a new student was coming into the dorms. And Jun wanted to meet them. The blond wore a different outfit than he usually did, and redid his hair style. He also didn't notice until this morning that his twin brother, who had gotten out of a coma and attended the sports festival, had painted his fingernails black for some odd reason. Well, either way, the green eyed boy gathered up a care package consisting of snacks of all kinds. Not knowing what the guy liked, he had a good mix of candy, chocolate, and healthy snacks. Jun walked out of his room with the basket in hand and skipped down the hall and down the stairs. The new student was in 1-B. He walked with a cheerful hum towards the 1-B dorms. Walking inside, he quickly asked one of the movers where the new student's room was. Apparently, they had just gotten done moving things. So at least nothing could be interrupted. Walking up to the third floor and up to the door, he knocked first, waiting permission to enter. Upon getting it or the door opening, his bright green eyes shown even brighter as he held out the care package. "Welcome to UA High!" Hopefully the guy was nice. Or at least civil if nothing else. Well, time to see what kind of person he was! (ooc: Jun's outfit and temp appearance is below. That artwork is not mine, and probably could pass for Jun if he redid his hair style.)

As Keni laid their reading up on whatever he could find about his homeroom teacher Kosei Shiba, his attention would suddenly be diverted as there was a knock at his door. Peering up from his bed Keni would spot a cheerful blonde standing in his doorway. Sizing up the young blonde Keni would suddenly notice what seemed to be a care package being held out. Hmm this was the kid from the UA festivals that wielded both fire and electricity. His quirk is a dual element talk about interesting,he could be useful as a training partner. "You can come in, no need to stay standing in front of the door."
"Welcome to UA High!"
Upon being welcomed to UA by the overly happy blonde, Keni would prop himself up into a sitting position. "Hey, you were pretty good at the Sport Festival. Having a dual elemental quirk must be fun." Stated Keni as he scanned over the newcomer. For what Keni could remember this kid was actually pretty talented and so luckily for him that meant he was with his time. For if he had been any of the students that were trash Keni wouldn't have even bother acknowledging him. Hell the air user might have rudely dismissed the poor kid. Keni's stare was analytical at best as he was trying to gauge just how strong and skilled Jun actually was. Sure he couldn't tell by just looking at him but from what he saw at the festival, Keni was now wondering just how well Jun would fair in a fight against him. This was Keni, always sizing up the competition and contemplating on how he could do better. Where most people would probably be more interested in the treats, Keni was interested in the person with the treats and their strength.

He was invited in! The newcomer was a little bit taller than him, and had white hair and teal eyes. Not to mention tanned. He was that good combination of cute and handsome all at once. The boy propped himself up into a sitting position, and commented about his quirk. The blond grinned and walked over to the desk, plopping the treats down on it. "Fun if blowing up stuff is your thing. I lack the incredibly fine tuned control needed for good harmless fun. But I do blow up robots pretty well! My twin bro has that control, and electricity and ice can be so much more fun. But since he just got out of a coma, he still needs to catch up academically before he can join us here. It's also why I'm pretty bubbly recently." Since his bro's return, he was a bit more open about his circumstances, but not so much that he would explain in great detail or anything. Still, that should also explain why he was so bubbly and happy. Who wouldn't be after their brother just came out of a three year coma? He could practically dance all month.
"I'm Jun Tomoshibi, of class 1-A! What about you? I don't remember seeing you at the entrance exam, but we might have been in different groups too." He shrugged it off. Considering how large the first part of the exam is, that part wouldn't be too surprising, but the second, they were split into different groups. Either way, hopefully the guy wouldn't be an asshole, but so far he seemed more aloof than anything. And he did take in Jun's appearance, either checking him out or sizing him out as competition. Hopefully he wasn't going to be one of those people.

As the blonde commented on his slight lack of control for the tiniest mini second a hint of sympathy and unhappiness would dance in the air user's eyes. However as fast as it came it left as Keni's eyes returned to their normal piercing look as he remembered the show the bubbly blonde had but on back at the festival. And now if that wasn't enough the blonde ad a twin brother with electric and ice as a dual quirk. Talk about Jun and his brother hitting the elemental lottery. "Well congrats on having your brother being out of a coma." Though there was nothing but sincerity in Keni's words it came off a little weird and detach. It wasn't that Keni wasn't happy, but for him being an only child he never really got or understood the bond of siblings. Keni's words would then be met with an awkward silence though it didn't bother Keni it sure was a good thing the pyro-spark decided to formally introduce himself.
"I'm Jun Tomoshibi, of class 1-A! What about you? I don't remember seeing you at the entrance exam, but we might have been in different groups too."
Following a head nod the air bender would then reciprocate. "My name's Keni Hedatori, of class 1-B. I took part in the entrance exam and passed, but shortly after I had a personal matter that needed taking care of. So I left right after hearing that I passed, and only returned just as the Sports Festival had began." Keni had chosen not to go into details about his absence seeing as the reason he came to UA instead of accepting his invite to Shiketsu was that he wanted to rise up the ranks on his skills and talents alone. Now luckily only a hand few of people knew that he was part of the infamous American, Jackson family. Many knew of the American Legacy family the Jackson but luckily for him not many people in Japan knew he was related to them. But so far whenever anyone finds out about him going to the funeral they begin putting everything together which was proving to be a real pain. Because then he was no longer Keni, the son of Jetstream. Instead he was Keni the a Jackson Legacy, Grandson of The Flying Raijin and son of Jetstream. Man did he hate that, so for now if Jun didn't already know for himself , Keni sure wasn't going to tell him. "So is it normal for 1-A students to come say hi to 1-B students? I'm asking because I'd like to know if I should be expecting more people to show up at my door, and because thus far none of the other 1-B students have come to say hi."

The guy seemed a little detached on his congratulations, not that Jun really expected a comment on it. But he also didn't detect any kind of sarcasm or anything but sincerity in his words. If a little weird. Still, he showed a bright smile. Nodding at Keni's explanation, Jun responded. "I heard as much, after I heard that we were getting a new transfer student. Hope that went over well." For as long as it took to get sorted it out...but that might also have been the problem, it didn't go well. Either way, he'd drop it. He wasn't going to pry into a personal matter like that, especially since he himself was usually a bit more of a private person.
He did have to do a little bit of thought to answer the other question. "I don't know. The other two 1-B students I know of don't seem like the type, one is super introverted, while the other doesn't seem like she likes 1-A much and is almost too competitive to cooperate with anyone else besides her introverted sister. Both have great quirks, too. Ren-chan might with some more food...he's our resident cook and is amazing at it. But he also tends to stay busy...I actually don't think anyone else really will, but I also only really know a few in my own class. Of course, if you're the guy that did that challenge on the student chat, and got roasted because of it, you might have shot yourself in the foot for friends. While it put off a lot of people, most of us in the Hero Classes laughed at it...I think everyone on the third floor heard me laugh when I read it. It's good to be competitive, but you also don't want to overdo it either. You're gonna have to work with some of us later on, either in school or later as pros, so it's best not to just brush everyone you don't like or declare worthless or not worth your time off. You never know what the future may bring, and you may just be relying on the person you declared not worth your time to watch your back or assist you in a situation that you just can't handle or not as well equipped to handle as they are.
It's just a thought, you do you." He shrugged it off. It was up to Keni to decide that. Not him. He moved to towards the door. "If there's anything you need, don't hesitate to ask." He'd hover a minute or two just to see if the silverette had any questions. Or requests.

As the airbender listened to Jun's spiel about not being over competitive, and how it was best not to just write people off Keni would begin to chuckle. The young air user found it comical that Jun thought he cared about how anyone felt in regards to the challenge he issued out over the student chat. With a smirk on his face and in a very condescending fashion, the 1-B student decided to address Jun's unwanted concern. "No offense but I think I'll take my chances. I mean if all it took was me issuing out a challenge to put people off then clearly those people aren't worth my time. I didn't come here to make friends, I came here to hone my skills and to become stronger. My ultimate goal is to become the number one hero and in order to do that I have to push myself and face off against stronger opponents. Working with someone is part of the job, I don't need to be friends with them to do so. And I refuse to waste my time with anyone not striving to be the best they can be, or worst are prone to just giving up. The perfect example of someone like that was the girl who pretty much gave up at the start of the first event of the festival. I mean who the hell does that, if that's the kind of people I'm expected to have watching my back then I'd much rather go in alone. And just because you and a few others might have not liked my message didn't mean that others didn't take to it. I had myself a great time with those wanting to see what the new kid could do. So save me the after school special. Especially when your little group is turning out people that are so quick to turn tail and surrender. All that aside though, it was still nice meeting you." smirked Keni
With that Keni would nod goodbye to Jun as he made his way to over to the care package the blonde had brought him. Grabbing a cookie Keni would take a bite of it as he headed back over to his bed. Completely humored by Jun and the take his little message had on a few of the fellow students. Priceless. thought Keni as he now couldn't wait to meet the other first years. So far the only two to stand out was Jun and Misaki, both for different reasons. Misaki was more his speed, and after fighting him Keni had come to respect the blow hard. While with Jun he was more fascinated with due to the blonde's dual elemental quirk and the potential he showed during the sports festival, however the two clearly have different views on how to go about becoming a hero. Now having met Jun the only other first year Keni was interested in was the ice user he saw back at the sports festival. Now that kid, he's someone I'd like to fight.

Jun simply shrugged. "Teamwork is often better if you at least get along, but it's up to you. Fu-chan's quirk isn't exactly suited for combat, but for communication, coordination, and potentially rescue work. I don't blame her in a way, due to the way that event was set up, but luckily Ren-chan got her moving. She's the only one that has a track record of giving up like that, much to the rest of our dismays. She may be a friend, but I do have my own criticisms of her. And while I do agree with you that she needs to get her butt in gear, don't underestimate the rest of us. Each person has their own skills to offer. If you want to hone your combat skills and wanna see what I can do personally, I'm free Wednesday afternoon. If you can get a teacher to supervise, I'd be game with quirks on display. Another elementalist I'd suggest is Ren-chan, the ice user. Otherwise, Daiki is a strong choice for a fight as well. Hyousuke is always looking for a strong opponent to dual in a gym not far from UA, he's a good choice if you're looking for hand to hand combat experience.
Good luck with that, and I'll see ya around." With a quick wave and a bright smile, he headed out. Chuckling to himself. He was sure he humored the silver haired brat. Just as the tryhard humored the blond. Still, he got excited to see what this arrogant shit can do. He'd have to brush up on some things before then. Luckily he's be visiting Riku and his mom tomorrow. The guy didn't get him angry about his friend...in a way, he was right. Though sometimes, you also have to choose the right person for the job.

Hmmm, so this guy isn't just rainbows and sunshine. Thought Keni as he saw the competitive fire in the blond eyes as he instructed the air user not to underestimate him and his friends. That was it, that's what Keni was waiting for. Everyone trying to be a pro hero is competitive, and that's just how it is. The only difference between Keni and most people is that he's blunt about it. Competition drives people to be better, and anyone that says otherwise is just fooling themselves. And for a second the 1B student didn't think Jun had it but as he went on to issue his challenge and call out the names of others that were worth a damn. Keni could see the fire in Jun's eyes grow with more intensity, obviously these were a few of the people that fueled blonde's competitive side. Now done with his speech and on his way out the 1A student said his goodbyes and so with a smirk and a head nod Keni said goodbye to the blonde.
Things just got a whole lot more interesting. With his thoughts now fueled with the names of people worth challenging Keni made sure to let some time past before responding to Jun's challenge via student chat. After all, there was just something poetic about it. Wonder if I'll cause another uproar among the student body. Keni would begin to chuckle as just the mere thought of his message causing trouble delighted him.
