It was a sunny and beautiful Wednesday afternoon, but this was not what brought a smile to Keni's face. No it was because today was the day the air user was going to fight Jun Tomoshibi, the dual elemental quirk user from class 1-A. A few feet up off the ground standing on top one of many pipes stretched far and wide across the industrial labyrinth better known as Ground Gamma. Keni stands tall in his hero outfit as his white Sleeveless haori blows in the wind accessorized with his short blade katana strapped to the back of it. Beside him was the teacher he was able to rope into supervising this little test of skills. Though it took a bit of convincing and name dropping the class 1-B student was able to get Jin Midokawa to agree to supervise seeing as Tomoshibi was dead set on having a teacher around for this clash of views. But as much as Keni would have been more than willing to fight without the supervision of a teacher it was probably in his best interest to have a teacher ok this fight. Seeing as Keni had already gotten into two unsectioned fights already and was beginning to gain a bit of a reputation among the teachers and headmaster.
Although Keni had already informed Jun Tomoshibi that he had everything prepared for the fight today the impatient little air bender decided to shoot the dual quirk user a message on student chat. Just to ensure that he remembered and was still coming. After all Keni had gone out of his way to meet the blonde's requirements , and would much prefer it not all go to waste.
"I might not have been able to take part in the Sports Festival, but today I get to fight one of the students that did. This will be a good test of my skills as well as a perfect gauge of what I need to improve on. Wind versus fire and electricity, this should be fun." smirked the white hair first year. With fire in eyes, and competition in his heart Keni was ready for whatever was about to happen on this amazing stage. Ground Gamma would be the stage for this fight and some many other ones to come for the young air hero in training.

"Just be careful with the sword. Heroes that use potentially lethal weapons get more scrutiny than usual. Particularly those that aren't modified to have less lethal bits or have them retracted." Jin was able to get around that partially due to the fact that the scythe and spear blades were embedded inside his three sectioned staff, that he always had in a quick pouch behind his back, and through his actions. First years and other hero students weren't so lucky. First day back, and getting ambushed to supervise a sparring match wasn't how he thought this would go. Still, he was able to look at some documents on some of the students. Both of these students had some degree of pedigree, and both scored high in the entrance exam. Jun had more class experience though. But that wasn't Keni's fault...family troubles took him away. Jun arrived in a blue and green hero costume with a pair of bracelet like devices on his wrists. A fancy grappling hook. But probably the most functional version for that small of one in a long time. "You didn't have to send that message over chat...I may be lazy, but I don't miss my appointments..." While his jumpsuit was skin tight, it did have metal bands at his forearms and shins, as well as some Kevlar protection on the torso. Not enough to protect against the real heavy stuff, but at least common light weapons and blades would help. "Since both of you are here now, I'm Jin Midokawa, and I usually run rescue operations classes. As well as investigations. And I'll be supervising this sparring match. While getting hurt is expected, do avoid things that would end your hero careers prematurely. And try not to go too far. I reserve the right to stop it at any time for any reason. As far as my own personal safety goes...don't worry about it. Between my agility and my quirk, I'll be fine. Normally, I'd do a scenario, but I guess that can wait till a later exercise. Everything understood?" The blond uttered a quick and almost militaristic "yes sir" before taking position away from Keni, and next to some pipes. Once seeing that Keni was also ready, Jin gave them the signal to begin. The blond waited for Keni to make the first move. To see if he'll charge in with the sword first, or if he'll use his quirk. The guy talked big, and was arrogant...but could he back it up?

After Jin told Keni to be careful in using his katana a very small and barely noticeable look of shame would dance across the air user's face for just a second before being replaced with a look of understanding and respect. Knowing that Jin was just doing his teach duty in commenting on the sword the white hair first yea would nod in understandment, "You don't have to worry about me using my katana, it's not my go to weapon and honestly it's not what you think it's for. My first choice in weaponry is my Bo Staff." finished Keni as he lightly tapped on the metal nic nac hanging off a metal link chain that dangled from his waist side.
Just then Keni's attention would be drawn to Jun's seeing as accompanied with his entrance the blonde 1-A student couldn't help but comment on the way Keni decided to check in on him for their battle. A bit amused solely due to the fact that he remembered how Jun said everyone acted due to the challenge he issued out on the student chat immediately upon arriving at UA. "Hey can you blame for checking in, I thought maybe you had up and decided to quit on me. I mean it's not like we really know each other, and on top of that 1-A students have shown an affinity to just giving up in the past." smirked Keni. The young air user had decided to try an slightly poke at Jun in hopes of annoying him. For Keni wanted to take Jun at his best, and from their first interaction it seemed as though Jun only gets serious when he has something to prove or fight for. Keni could be wrong but Jun's competitive flair only showed up after Keni mildly insulted and played down 1-A students due to the actions of one girl back at the sports festival. So with that being his motivation the 1-B student figured it'd be best to get that fire in Jun going again before the fight started. After all what's the fun in fighting if everyone isn't going to do their best to win.
After making his comment the teacher Keni had found to supervise would go about introducing himself and letting the two first years know what was what. "Yes sir, understood." replied Keni in response to Jin Midokawa question.
Immediately after that Jun would go about getting himself in position as he squared up for battle. Seeing this brought a smiirk to Keni's face and so in response Keni also took to a battle stance as he was itching for this battle to hurry up and start. As Keni took to his stance and awaited for the teacher to give the good head the young air user would already be formulating a plan off attack in his. So on the plus side I've see his quirk at work due to the Sports Festival and based on our conversation back in my room he admitted to not knowing me which would mean he doesn't know about my quirk. Assuming of course that he didn't spend his off time trying to find out more on me. Either which way I can either charge after him or lay back and wait, though I run the risk of him making this a long distance fight if I decide to lay back and wait. No I won't wait, nothing ventured , nothing gained. I need to keep this fight close to mid range. I hope you're taking this serious Jun.
On the balls of his feet Keni awaited the go head, and as soon as Jin Midokawa gave the go ahead Keni subtly pressurized the air behind his foot. Using it as e spring load, the air user quickly propelled himself forward. Hoping to catch Jun off guard with his speed, Keni charged after the blonde using his enhanced speed to close the gap between them in seconds. Keni's first attack right out the gate as he tested the waters, was a right hook to Jun's face. The air user made sure to utilize his momentum to add more force behind his punch.

Jun waited patiently until the signal was given, and didn't respond or show any emotion to what Keni said. And the almost samurai looking silverette bolted at him faster than he initially expected. Still, the blond wasn't a pushover in close range combat either, and circulated electricity around himself just as Keni got too close to really back off, hopefully. The boy tried to use Keni's arm to flip the guy over, using his own momentum and Jun's body posture/other arm to the gut as leverage, and hopefully get Keni on his back, all the while electrocuting him as long as they were touching. If successful, he'd keep hold onto the guy's wrist, and fire a point blank fire ball that can dent cars at the guy's gut.
Again, if successful, he'd back off, using twin flamethrowers to launch himself into a backflip, and land on top of a pipe bridge, deactivating his electric half before landing.
If the combo failed, he'd use twin flamethrowers from his hands to both attack and launch himself away after the initial dodge, deactivating his electric half, and land on top of a platform. Staring the guy down, he'd probe him with a couple of fire balls, but otherwise watched.
Enhanced speed...nothing new. Jun was fast as well, with or without using his flames. There were also only a few spots that a straight up fight could occur, otherwise it was a winding maze of obstacles. His neutral green eyes scanned around the other boy, looking for anything that could conduct electricity.

As Keni closed the gap between him and Jun, he'd see the blonde student suddenly become encircled by a body of electricity. Seeing this Keni would immediately have a flashback of when he fought Kyo. Although he was pretty sure Jun's electricity was more for defense ,the young air user figured it'd be best to not take the risk. So at the last second Keni would pressurize the air under his left foot and use it as a springboard as he launched himself into the air . While in the air Keni would quickly detach the chain link from his waist while simultaneously pressing the button on the metal nic nac which would then extract out into Keni's trusted Bo staff. With all this happening the 1-B student did a graceful twist flip over Jun before then landing a feet behind the sparked up blonde.
Sadly just as Keni landed he'd see himself coming under attack as Jun had taking this time to launch a powerful flamethrower blast at the airbender. Thinking fast Keni began propelling himself backwards by once again kicking off the ground using pressurized air, only this time the young prodigy did this in conjunction with negating the wind resistance in the direction of which he was going in. Though it was a clever plan the fact that Jun's attack was launched before the air user made his move meant that the flames were hot on this tail and closing in fast. Damn it, with his attack happening first and me being so close his attack is going to catch me before I fully take off. I have to by myself some time, and quick. Upon analyzing the situation Keni knew he had to act fast if he wanted to avoid the flames, so with a tight grip on his staff Keni sung it and launched a light air swipe against the flames. Upon contact the air swipe caused the flames to wildly fan out giving Keni the time he needed to get out of the attack radius. Coming to a sliding stop Keni was now finally out of the flames range, and though that was a good thing Keni still found himself under attack. Luckily though these were simple projectiles so Keni was easily able to evade them with a few simple side steps and backflips.
When everything was said and done a devious smirk would show out on Keni's face, as he peered over at Jun. Hmm so he's able to use both elements at the same time, interesting, I've known of a few other dual element users that were unable to use both elements at once and he can, though chances are doing so takes more out of him. Seeing as he wasted no time bringing down his little electrical field. If that's true I could possibly try to make him over extend himself, but to do so I'd have to make sure I played it smart. With that being said I also have to be more careful myself, that guy almost roasted me. Well it seems I'm going to need both weapons for this fight. At least until I can get pass that electrical field of his. Until then I'm just going to have to create my own openings. After thinking up strategies and attempting to find a weakness in Jun's defense, Keni would take his left hand and unsheath his short bladed katana. "That was only our opening movies, and I'm already giddy." said Keni to himself as he continued to watch over Jun like a fine tooth comb. This time the air user would let Jun make the first move, for now he needed to see how the blonde moved while on the offensive.

The student was able to avoid damage. By using air to maneuver and bide just a little bit of time. There wasn't a whole lot of elementalists in the school, shockingly enough. At the same time, there were a few tricks he was weary of that air users could do against him and his flames. Keni wielded a metal bo staff and a short katana that wasn't quite short enough to be called a wakizashi. Both would be great for his electricity. Still, the other boy seemed content to see what Jun will do now.
The blond darted to the right across the pipes and jumped down to another set. He navigated through the maze, keeping an eye through the cracks. And fired a fire ball through a small opening that was just barely large enough for it to go through. Using his wrist mounted grappling hook, he climbed a water tower while swinging around it. He send a spark of electricity at a pipe close to Keni, while also sending another fire ball at him to keep him distracted. The lightning bolt hit the pipe, but then zapped right towards him.
Jun's "hook" let go and he landed on top of a wrecking ball vehicle, and rolled off of it, landing in a crouch. Range wise, he may have the advantage, but he tended not to wield any weapons. Granted, his suit would provide some protection, and his own parents had drilled certain moves to use against certain weapon types. But what kind of training did Keni have? Guess he'll see how well the guy handled that opening gambit. And if the white haired lad will follow...

As the young airbender continued to eye down his opponent his focus on the dual element user would sharpen as the blonde suddenly went on the move. Alright Jun, I saw a bit of your defense. Now show me that offense. Thought Keni as his eyes remained targeted on the blonde. Sure diving down in the maze of pipes was smart as it would partially obscure the blonde from sight every now and again. However just like his skilled opponent Keni made sure to keep as much a visual on the 1-A first year as possible using the cracks in between the pipes. Which allowed him to see the fire ball just in the nick of time to avoid. Jumping to the side Keni watched as the fireball blew through the small spacing hitting nothing but air.
As Keni quickly turned to face his opponent he'd suddenly spot the blonde just as he launched his fireball. As Keni prepared to counter he'd suddenly find himself coming under shock. As he gritted his teeth and before the shock could hinder him useless. The young airbender immediately propelled himself upwards just a bit using compressed air. Now slightly air bound Keni would quickly launch his second air horizontal swipe only this one hand enough force to make contact with Jun's fireball and send it hurling back at him at an increased speed. With that done and using it as cover Keni kicked out both his feet behind him and while still in the air propelled himself forward using air. Coasting just far enough behind the fireball so that he could react. Then as keni grew closer, while still in the air he'd point his left leg towards the ground and using his lovely air trick would propel himself upwards as he went in to a spin flip over the reflected fireball just as it was seconds from reaching Jun. Now directly above the blonde the young air user quickly swung his short bladed katana in two clean cut slashing motions while manipulating the air currents in front of the blade to launch two razor wind attacks at the duel element wielder.
The second that was done Keni landed directly behind his fellow combatant which he would then follow up by launching a vertical air swipe with enough force to blow in a garage door. Let's see how he gets out of this one. Also I'm going to have to be way more careful, seeing as he has the clear home field advantage here with all these damn pipes. I can deal with an electrical attack directed at me no problem, but I have to be mindful of him sending his electrical currents through the pipes. Luckily though I remained calm and as a natural form of my fighting style is always quick on my toes and ready to move. Though Keni as he watched and prepared to make his next move depending on how Jun reacted to the onslaught of attacks. "Let's see how you do against you'r own attack." said Keni to himself.

Since Jun was already well on the move, he avoided the rebounded fire ball. Still, it showed some skill, since normally a sudden infusion of wind/oxygen would cause an explosion, and too weak would just divert the blast of air away from its target. Keni stayed with the blond, going above him, and sending two slashes of air towards him. Jun did a short hop to one side, and side stepped to the left to avoid both. But it also put Keni behind him. Looking over his shoulder, he saw that the silver haired upstart sent a vertical wave at him. Turning sideways, and extending his right arm, he sent another flamethrower. And that did what he'd hoped, causing a sudden flame explosion just far enough away from the blond that all he felt was some heat. The blond would have to experiment against those slashes to see what kind of flame attacks works and what doesn't.
He fired two fire balls through the cloud of flames while using two flamethrowers to propel himself up and over the metaphorical line in the sand. And fired off a stream of electricity. With luck, he'd land right in front of Keni's original position after the young man dealt with his three attacks, and get a quick one-two punch to the jaw and ribs. Range could go either way, might as well see what the other one got in close. Assuming Keni wasn't gun-shy about his electrical defense and tried to keep his distance. Though with two close range weapons against an unarmed opponent would surely give the air user some confidence.

Keni took in Jun's movements, and smirked as he watched the blonde counter his vertical air swipe with his flame thrower. So he's using an explosion to avoid the attack. Can't say I blame him, I had to do the same thing not to long. He's clever on his attacks and due to his dual elements he has a wide variety of moves. I gotta find the perfect moment to hit him with everything I've got. Thought the air user just as two balls of burning fire came shooting out the explosion caused by the clashing of fire and wind. Though taken by surprise Keni remained calm and acted instantly, swung his left hand from one side to the other. And as he did this he'd manipulate the current as his short bladed Katana projected a horizontal razor wind just in time to slice through the two balls of flames. However as was now the norm for this particular fight, the prodigy air bender wasn't able to catch his breath just yet as he was also now once again under an electrical attack. This guy sure loves to fire one of each element back to back. Contemplated Keni before dropping his katana and using both hands to quickly twirl his Bo staff as he simultaneously sped up and directed the wind current surrounding the twirling bo staff in the same clockwise motion. Thus forming his mini wind wall which would block and isolate the electrical attack to that of the protective wind barrier.
The second Keni stopped spinning his staff the blonde would suddenly land directly in front of him launching two fist attacks of his own. With a grin on his face Keni instantly twirled his staff in a rapid half diagonal succession. Which would catch the wrists of both Jun's swings thus blocking/stopping the blonde's one, two hit combo. Immediately after blocking the second hit Keni quickly dropped his right hand to the middle section of the staff and instantly air propelled his legs forwards with such tremendous speed as he attempted to lay two hard kicks to the blonde's sternum.
Following that whether he'd succeed or not the 1-B student would then go into a backwards cartwheel using his bow staff and upon landing with swing his staff both vertically and horizontally as he launched a strong cross shape air swipe at the awesome opponent. Might as well got at him now that he's close range. After all this is where I normally excel, my combat style and level headedness prepares me for quick impromptu decisions and maneuvers. Not to mention my air quick only enhances those attributes. So yea, I utilize this opportunity for all that it's worth. Sorry Jun, but you'd better have some tricks up your sleeve if you're going to try and take me on close. "I gotta say Jun, so far you're living up to your talk. So let's say we take this up a notch!"

Slicing fire balls, he'd expected, but using a mini-tornado to negate his electrical strike was new. But it also made the wind user drop one of his weapons. And use the bo staff to deflect his punches via his wrists, protected partially by his two grappling hooks. Then the weapon was used to set up a double kick to the chest. Jun ducked underneath, and swept his own kick at the staff, to hopefully send the boy into a tumble. Only Keni went right into a backflip away from him, and countered with a pair of wind slashes, first vertical, then a horizontal. The blond darted to Keni's right to avoid it, then jump dived over the second one. Going into a roll, he closed the distance quickly with a short burst of flames to his back, putting nearly in range of the bo staff again in an instant.
Jun swung out his right arm, now consumed in fire and lightning, and struck with a 8 by 10 foot wave of a mixed elemental wall. It had enough knockback power to send an average male 30 feet away, not even counting the various electrical and fire burns he would have if he didn't move fast enough. The Plasma Wave had a short range of only ten feet. But in that range, it was difficult to dodge. So far, Keni had been straight forward, relying more on his quirk and skills than any real tactics or tricks.
Jun shoved both hand forward, and blasted another duo of flamethrowers, aimed lower towards the feet/ground, to propel him backwards into a blackflip. Landing right next to the dropped sword. In one smooth action, his normal yellow flames gathered into his left hand, forming a ball of orange flames that almost looked like a sun minus the bloom and with his foot, he kicked the sword up and caught it with his his right. Standing the sword straight up and positioning the molten ball of flames, he fired the ball into the sword, removing his hand just in time, and melted the entire thing into a pool of liquid metal. Even the ground was liquefied. Even Jin, perched on a set of pipes overlooking them, was impressed by the power of it.
Jun stared blankly into Keni's eyes. "And you haven't been living up to your's. Come on...if you're really as good as you think you are...stop disrespecting me and show me everything you've got!" Again using flames, he propelled himself forward at astonishing speed. Only to feint by directing them down when he was within bo staff rang, and propelling himself upward. After a twirl, he "landed" on the side of a tube, and fired a barrage of fire balls, while also using his precarious foothold and to jump forward, with only a very mild speed boost from his free hand using a flamethrower on the tube.
Using another flamethrower to soften his landing some, he was sure Keni was about to give him what he asked for.

As Jun landed in strike range Keni stood unphased but poised to attack however what came next was something he had not expected. Sure He was expecting Jun to go into his normal blast attack default but this time the attack that came was far more than Keni had expected. For this attack was neither lighting nor fire, but instead was the perfect union of both. In that moment for the first time all fight Keni's eyes widened out of fear, shock, and most of all excitement. The thrill he was experiencing in this moment was utterly breathtaking. What!? He can combine both elements into a single attack!! I didn't think he had a move like that. I could run but I don't know how fast it is and and worst this attack is coming from extremely close. No I can't run, I risk the chance of getting hit full on. So then I guess I'll just have to block it at the best of my ability. Thought the air user and in that moment he'd remember something his mother said to him. "Keni, you have to further your quirk. You have such potential, don't you see. As an air user to be able to to manipulate the air around you is amazing. You wouldn't be hindered by things that normal air users like me can't go up against. Now I get you're afraid to fail and I know you'll never admit that to anyone, even me. But the only way you truly fail is if you don't try. So if it's your dream to reach that glass ceiling that, Then you better TRY!"
Mother, as always you were right. And so I'll try." As soon as Keni finished his thought, he immediately began twirling his bo staff at an alarmingly fast speed and as he did he'd manipulate the air current around it. But that wasn't all, for Keni then began manipulating to the two opposing air flows that engulfed him. Using the air stream that was being repelled in the opposite direction of Jun's attack Keni formed a loose skin air armor, and then began pressuring the air flow outside the armor to be used as a makeshift barrier to provide further cover to his sides while the his bo staff covered his front. As the blonde's attack made contact Keni was instantly starting to be blown back and so in a calculated but desperate ploy Keni lifted the soles of his feet and began pressuring the air beneath them as a way to form traction as well as keep him for being blown away. Though it was helping Keni was still being pushed back only now it was more of a slight sliding rather than a full on shove. Though Keni's three defenses were keeping him safe from the electric element of Jun's attack the heat from the fire though lessened was still getting to him. Through the gritting of his teeth Keni groaned in pain as the attack washed over him. Seeing Jun on the move and hearing his words Keni decided he had to act fast. So the headstrong 1-B student decided to take another calculated risk. So just as Jun launched his other attack, in sudden burst of power Keni quickly compressed the air of his loose air armor before then rapidly expanding it in a sudden outward burst causing a chain reaction with the heat which then led to an explosion.
Using the pressurized air beneath the soles of his feet Keni shot backwards out of the explosion just in time to avoid Jun's fireball barrage. As the young air user came barreling out the explosion his feet would finally touch the ground but due to his momentum he'd find himself sliding across a pipe before finally coming to a stop just a few feet away from his opponent. As Keni stood there with a slightly labored breathing, his arms world showcase the first degree burns he had gotten due to Jun's attack. And yet a smile still dawned brightly on the boy's face, tightening his grip on his staff Keni would then peer into Jun's eyes. "You know, your little pep talk would have been a bit more affected if you hadn't had gone through the added effort of melting my sword. Guess my razor wind attack really had you nervous huh. Oh well what's done is done. But Jun let me just say, inspired attack." Gleamed Keni, as he admired Jun's vigor and took a bit of enjoyment seeing this competitive side of the short blonde. In this moment the air around Keni had began to visibly swirl both clockwise and counter clockwise as Jun had helped the white haired boy to further awaken his quirk though Keni himself was to lost in the excitement and adrenaline of it all to really notice.
"Jun, my dream in life is to become the best possible hero I can be. So I set my goal to becoming the number one hero. Knowing how hard a road it is and how even at my best I might never make it. But it's what drives me to fight people, I want to test my skills against strong opponents and learn what I can from them as well as see the improvements that I can make on myself. And it is for that dream that I push, and though it may put some people off. It's what's going to make me a hero. So I thank you for this fight, after all. You never REALLY know someone, until you fight them. So I hope you're ready blondey, because I'm going PLUS ULTRA!"
In that moment Keni then began swinging and twirling his bo staff in such rapid and fluent swiping motions, each swing sending a powerful airswipe attack with it, which was unbeknownst to Keni as he still hadn't realized that his attacks in this moment had become stronger. All this time Keni was preparing himself for his actual move. And so just as he launched his final air swipe to end his barrage the air bender took off running. Using air propulsion to get him going Keni then nullified all air resistance in the direction in which he was going while simultaneously using the air current behind of him to further enhance his speed. Zipping around Keni used the distraction of his air barrages to run at full speed in a circle around Jun. As he did this he pulled the air from where Jun was and the air around to form a thick eleven foot up wind channeling tornado to trap the dual elementalist. The applied idea of the plan was to trap Jun in the eye of the tornado. Where his electricity would be of no use as it wouldn't be able to break through much like it didn't against his mini air wall. Also in the eye of any tornado vorex the air temperature plummets greatly and the fact that the air is rising upward rather than downward would mean that all air flow/heat would be instantly be directed upward further increasing the instant drop in temp as well as making the oxygen closer to the ground scarce which would greatly impact all of Jun's fire attacks. If I can't get a square hit on him then I'm just going to have to completely immobilize him. Thought Keni, ""I'll call this move, Cyclone Prison!"

So, Jun had kept him entangled with his moves enough for the lad to not actually try anything immediately afterwards. Keni's breathing was labored, and he clearly had light burns where he could see skin. Jun grinned cockily at the other boy after he commented about him melting his sword. "Just getting rid of an enemy's tools. Basic combat 101: if you can destroy your enemy's weapons, do it. The less they have, the better you end up. If that was the only way for you to use your Razor Wind..." He shrugged and left it that. If the silver haired boy needed a weapon as a catalyst, then there was a weakness there. Get rid of his weapons, you neutralize his quirk. Though even that doesn't mean everything. Jun knew first hand that a quirk doesn't always determine a fight, nor how they used it.
Though his green eyes darkened a little (quite literally since his eye color changes shades based upon his mood, with the madder he gets, the darker they become) after Keni's little speech. And if Keni peered closely into his opponent's eyes, he'd see a blue flame in one eye, and a swirl of green lightning in the other. He backpedaled to give himself more room to dodge. But still didn't have any issue moving side to side, ducking, and backflipping away. Then Keni bursted forth in a dead run, using air to enhance his speed. And circled around the blond. Jun kept track, ready for whatever the silver haired bully was trying to do. He noticed the temperature plummeting greatly, which felt great, especially since his fire half heated himself up.
After hearing the name of the move, he chuckled. Jin cringed. He had a pretty good feeling where this was going to go.
The blond spoke. "So...you're no real hero. You're in it to prove that you're the strongest. That's not a hero. That's a bully. You'll never be number one with an attitude like that...it takes far more than strength alone to achieve that." He sighed heavily and just basked in the cool air before continuing. "You're just cooling me down, giving more time to use my fire half...if you are limiting oxygen here...that won't matter much." With a burst of flames from his hands, he zoomed up. The flamethrowers were strong enough to let him hover fifteen feet. With them being angled just enough to catch some of the vortex, though not all at once, almost controlled, it was soon a tornado of flames that spiraled out of control and exploded. Despite being flame resistant, even if not as much as a pure fire user, he burned some, and the force blew off some of his suit's protective layers. Enough to show part of his left side, and show part of a scar that he had from years ago, a jagged thing, like a lightning bolt.
It was self imposed, but a hit was a hit. Landing at the top of a building, Jun spoke some more. "If you wanted a roadblock, I'll gladly be that roadblock, and beat you down every time."
He dropped from the top of the building. And again used his flames to speed himself up and close the distance. Only, he fired two fireballs to stir up the rubble and create a smokescreen between them. Jun had moved to Keni's right side, one hand hidden, and the other had a large ball of electricity. Unlike his other electrical blasts, this one had force behind it, much the same as that of his standard fire balls. If it hit, it would also cause a large amount of electrical burns, concentrated in the softball sized area that it would hit. Whether it hit or not, Jun would then reveal his other hand, a small concentration of fire and electricity. If he had missed, he would aim for the bo staff, to melt it in two. If Zap hit, then he would aim for the shoulder. Either way, it was an attack that he didn't use lightly, hadn't used since Meka-sensei's first class. Tazer Beam would cauterize wounds it made, but also cause extreme amounts of pain. It was also capable of going through four feet of reinforced concrete.
Jin watched, and was ready to interfere...perhaps this shouldn't last for much longer...especially with emotions running high right now...

As the blonde went on yet another one of his infamous heart dribbled spiels Keni couldn't help but start chuckling at the boy's naive view of what makes a hero. Keni's chuckle would only grow in intensity after seeing his experimental tornado prison turn into a fire tornado only to then explode. Guess he didn't like being captured. Thought Keni as he stared at his now injured opponent. "You know what's funny, since I've met you you've done nothing but lecture me as you try desperately to push your views on to me. Now if you ask me I'd call that bullying, seeing as I don't go around forcing people to fight. And I atleast have the courtesy to accept and realize that there is more than one way to be a hero. Now here's my piece of advice to you, the best intentions in the world will not save a life. If all you have are good intentions with none of the strength or fortitude to get to the intended goal then you're nothing more than a con artist. Going around and peddling false advertisement, and false hope. Why would anyone ever trust you with their lives!?
After Keni's rebuttal he'd notice Jun trying to the close the gap between them. "I'm not falling for that again." Stated Keni before pushing off of his left foot using air propulsion which sent him gliding backwards just as Jun's fireball attacks casted up a smokescreen. Just them Keni would see Jun suddenly appear on his right side, turning his gaze to the dual elementalist Keni calmy readied himself for evasion. Alright, I've seen enough of this guy's attacks to know that they all seem to be pretty straight forward. Which is why he has to drum up all these distractions. He needs to keep his opponent preoccupied in order to get his attacks to make contact. Which means all I have to do is focus solely on him, because I am faster, and unlike most my evasive skills are actually what make so deadly. So see evade and counter! Thought Keni as Jun launched his electric ball seeing this Keni kicked off another propulsion from his feet only this time the young acrobatic went into a backflip and upon landing would continually slide backwards do to it's momentum. However upon landing he'd see Jun reveal his other attack. Seeing this Keni had to decide does he evade or does he risk a counter. So in the heat of the moment and with a smile on his face Keni shot another propulsion from his left leg only this one shot him in the direction of Jun at an accelerated speed. As the blonde's attack fired off, Keni leaned to his right and as he did he'd swing his right hand with all the force he could muster in this angle and fire off a powerful and faster air swipe than he'd done all fight. As the vertical air swipe was launched the tip top of Keni's left shoulder would be grazed by Jun's attack. Though just a a graze the force of the beam sent Keni rolling backwards before finally he went into a back tuck to quickly and fluently get back on his feet.
Now on his feet Keni attempted to catch his breath, as he now awaited Jun's next move. Keni was finding it hard to catch a breath which meant if he wanted to stay in the fight he'd have to switch up his tactics. But that didn't faze this kid, though he found himself gritting in pain from the wound on the top of his left shoulder. How could I be in this much pain, the attack only grazed me. If that thing had made full on impact I'd be done for. Hell depending on where he'd hit me I could have died. And that teacher guy over there was worried about my katana when this pyrofreak over there has an attack like this up hi sleeve. Hmm guess I really touched a nerve, oh well I can't help it if he's so easily influenced by words. Though in serious pain Keni refused to let on, so taking he deep breath he began to center himself as he took to his balance stance.

He didn't completely disagree. But you also needed a sense of compassion, and recognizing signs to be of the best use to help anyone in need. Strength definitely helps, even sometimes needing the right quirk. But being a hero wasn't about being the strongest.
Either way, Keni was maneuverable and had brains to match. But he wasn't as good as Jun. Enough to be a challenge, he'd acknowledge that. Keni avoided his Zap attack. While he missed his initial target, it did scrape a part of Keni's shoulder. That was going leave a scar most likely, unless he gets that treated right away. Cauterized wound or not. The boy did send another air swipe at him, in which Jun just side stepped, letting pass right in front of him. Once Keni recovered, he was ready again. And just as he was about to speak, Jin piped up.
"Jun, don't use that again. Meka-sensei in an exercise is one thing, against another student is another. You will get punished if you use it against another student again."
"I was aiming for his bo staff! To melt it in two and get a little bit of shock! I didn't mean to hit him!" Jun spoke a little indignantly. And it was a half-lie. Either way, he scratched the back of his head, a little bit embarrassed. Still, he paid attention to Keni, who seemed to be trying to catch his breath. So, the windy boi didn't have the stamina to keep using his quirk over and over again. "You're not completely wrong. If you're too weak or don't have the right quirk or skill set for the job, you do need to step off and let someone else take over. But it takes more than strength to assure a populous of their safety...but it certainly helps." He stalked forward. "You seem to be having trouble there...reaching your limit?" He sent a fire ball towards the boy, along with a ribbon of fire. He darted to the left, slinging a lightning bolt at the boy. But it wasn't a standard one. If it missed, it would hit the wrecking ball behind Keni. And bounce off of it to strike at the boy's back and new location. He then would send a cone of lightning at the guy. He can play the ranged game...if Keni really was reaching his limit, then this match was gonna end soon.

As Keni stood there attempting to catch his breath he'd quickly run through the many different scenarios as he contemplated his next few moves. Ok so right now I'm not in the best shape, but I'm not out of the fight yet. This guy thus far has just been spamming attack after attack and like everyone else he must have a limit. So for now if I can outlast him, and wait until he's feeling it I should be able to catch him with a powerful attack or atleast find an opening. Which means for now my best option is to evade and keep my distance. Even without using the air to enhance me I'm still pretty fast, so I'll either take advantage of his attacking spamming and let him burn himself out, or I'll draw him into close combat. I just have to remember everything I've been taught as well as recall on everything I've experience in my previous fights. Who had have thought Mitski would have teached me something that day in the cafeteria. As Keni's thoughts came to an end Jin would have just finished putting Jun in his place for that last attack. Following that Keni would once again find himself under the tongue lashing of one hot headed goody to shoe blonde. Who then took among himself to try an call Keni out for trying to catch his breath.
"You seem to be having trouble there...reaching your limit?"
Upon hearing Jun's comment Keni couldn't help but start to chuckle, "Sorry bud, but how about you leave the taunting to me. And stick to what you know best, which is giving naive lectures about rainbows and bunny rabbits." With that Jun would then went about launching a few fire attacks, seeing this as an opportunity Keni wasted no time darting over to his left. Now in full sprint without use of his quirk Keni easily evaded the first two attacks. To then only to then have to evade a ball of lighting, luckily since Keni was already on the move it wasn't that hard. However from his pherpihals Keni would notice something approaching him from the other side looking over he'd see the lighting ball come back for a round two. What the hell, he bounced it? Thought the air bender as he went into a tuck and roll as to avoid being hit by the ball's second go round. Yet Keni still wasn't out of danger yet seeing as Jun then decided to shoot a cone of lighting at the 1-B student. Thinking fast Keni instinctually dropped through a spacing in some pipes setting him on a lower level all while dodging Jun's attack. Right now, he thinks I'm at my wits end which means he'll either keep spamming attacks and keep this fight going from long range, however if I continue to evade his attacks like I'm doing it might piss him off just enough to draw him in close and personal. Either way is cool with me. So what you gonna do blondey. what you gonna do. With somewhat of a half baked plan in my Keni continued putting distance between him Jun, as he ran towards where he had caused the explosion to due the blonde's fire-electric heat wave. Upon reaching it Keni would pop out of a space between some pipes and go into a twist flip as he landed a few feet behind the designated area. "So what's your plan? To spam me to death? Because I can evade better than you can spam attack my friend, with or without my quirk." Teased Keni with a wink.
