Raining, yet again. It always seemed when Fu was in a bad mood that it was raining. Fu was laying on her bed, starring at the ceiling. Two weeks into General studies and things could not be going better. She had done well on her catch up assignments and had had enough time to practise her koto. Everything in her school life was going well but she still could not help but feel empty inside. There was something missing in her life. Fu would not admit that it was the hero course. No way it was that. She was miserable in the course after all. She would have gotten hurt for no reason in the quirk control class and she threw up in the training class before that. There was not way she missed that. There was no way.
Grabbing her phone in frustration off of her nightstand, Fu scrolled through her contacts. Most of them should be done with classes. She knew Daiki was at basketball practise so she did not want to bother him. Finding Ryuga, she smiled a bit. They hadn't talked in a while so might as well. Opening the texting app, she shot a quick message to her.
Fu: Ryuga-chan! Wanna talk a bit? I'm done with my work and haven't seen you in a while!
Putting the phone back onto the nightstand, Fu got up from her bed. Turning on the main light in her room and unlocking the door to her room, she took a seat on her bed. Smiling a bit, she was excited at talking to Ryuga again.

There was this empty feeling Ryuga felt a lot lately. Studying her books. Shows. Everything. She had a lack of fun while doing it. Not to denote Tomoshibi-san, Satou-san, or even Seraphine-san. But there was just... that one thing missing. It was the one piece in the puzzle that she missed. She closed her book to look outside. The heavy rain was bittersweet. ... she remembered speaking to Futaba on a day like this. Were General Studies going well for her? Part of her wanted to text, but Ryuga wasn't exactly the most saavy with technology, and there was this feeling that maybe, Futaba didn't want to talk to her. There was also the fact that she was so focused on her work, that she lacked a critical component of what Kokoro had told her. Rubbing her arm, she looked to the rain. BUZZRyuga immediately flailed and fell over, hitting the floor with a rather sizable THUMP. Rubbing her head, she gave a slightly annoyed huff, and blew some of her hair out of her face. When she scrambled to her feet, and found the phone. Grabbing it, she read it over and gave a somber smile. It was Fu. She had to plan this properly. How best to respond. She ran it over a few times. Reply 1Ryuga: What is flipping, Fu? That sounds cool with me, girl.... no. too informal. Sounded too weird. Maybe tell Fu that she was missed? Reply 2Ryuga: Fu! I've missed you! I'm already running over! WAAAH!... too much. Not her norm. Okay, what about... less formal, and less energetic? Reply 3Ryuga: cool whatever... they were friends. She had to care. What was she thinking, with no punctuation?! She put her head in her hands, realizing that Himura-san would see her attempting to respond as best as possible. Each time removing it to rewrite it. She needed something simple and to the point, without seeming uncaring, or too expressive, or too informal. She needed something... she pressed her brain. Then the words found their way to the phone. Actual ReplyRyuga: Sure! I'm getting tired of reading these books anyways! Be over soon!--- KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!It was a short time later, but Ryuga called out. "Himura-san?! i brought cotton candy!" she grinned, as she waited for her best friend to open the door. She held two things of it. One blue, one pink. Ryuga looked at the snack, having gotten it from downstairs. Hoping that Fu would like it. Her jammies seemed to express comfortability.

Her phone vibrated off the nightstand. Jumping up to catch it, Fu barely missed it. With a loud thunk, her phone crashed onto the ground. Picking up her phone off the ground, she checked if it was damaged. Shaking her head, she felt a bit silly. She has had this phone for so long and it's an older model that could withstand anything. She could not even count how many times it had been knocked out of her hands by people. Not that it was interesting or anything. Her only contacts were her family, Ryuga, and Daiki. Fu basically bully and stupid proof her phone.
Checking the message, Fu's face lit up. Ryuga was coming by. Filling with joy, Fu ran to her dresser real quick. Pulling out a clean pair of jumpers, she waited for her friend to come by.
--
Jumping up as soon as she heard the knocking, Fu ran from her bed to the door. Opening the door, Fu beamed at her friend before giving Ryuga a big hug. Hugging her so she would not drop the cotton candy, she yelped excitingly.
Releasing her hug to let Ryuga in, Fu sat down on her bed. Shooting her best friend a big smile, she radiated happiness. She had not been so happy to see someone again.
"How have you been? Felt like I haven't seen you since..." Fu paused, not sure what to say.
"...Since that."

When that door opened, that beaming smile lit up Ryuga's heart. This was what she was missing. Her best friend. It was so easy to see that now, especially now. It was depressing doing all the work. She was the only female member of the class now, but she wanted to seem supportive of Futaba. Therefore... cotton candy! Especially on a rainy day like this, near spring! The hug was expected, and Ryuga would balance the cotton candy perfectly in her hands. Holding them as Ryuga wanted to hug back, but couldn't. And as Fu would move to sit onto the bed, Ryuga followed, sitting on the bed as well, a smile on her face, holding out blue or pink cotton candy. Her hair was down, not tied up at all, and was a giant mess of hair behind her. There was a blindfold on her forehead covering some of her luscious hair. When Futaba began to speak, Ryuga listened. General questions about how she had been, and Ryuga responded. "I've been fine. A little lonely. In a class with all guys, so you know. Trying to stand out." she made a sheepish smile. It was no less true. She, being the last female of the class, felt less comfy around all the guys. Well, save Tomoshibi-san, who she honestly liked being around for his sense of reason. ... or Seraphine-san, which made her cheeks redden considerably at the thought. "What about you, Himura-san?" she attempted to not touch on the topic, since it seemed not much could really be said. What Ryuga wanted was to support Futaba, regardless of the reasoning. For all she knew, she could be dating some fruit loop and Ryuga would still be one-hundred percent okay with it. all for the support. "Tell me everything!" Ryuga beamed, a sisterly bond with Fu that she finally felt happy to restore.

Picking up the blue cotton candy, she smiled at it. She was not used to those sort of snacks. Most of the sweets Fu ate growing up were traditional rice or bean treats. She had tried some more imported snacks like drinks. Not sure what to think of the sugary snack after a few bites, she respectfully ate most of the snack. Feeling a bit ill after eating the cotton candy, Fu got up real quick to grab a bottle of water from the little fridge she had in her room. Taking another for Ryuga, Fu returned to her place on the bed. Taking a sip from her water, she gave the other bottle o her best friend.
Fu felt bad for leaving Ryuga in the class alone. It was already tough just being the only girls in the class, she could not imagine being the ONLY girl in that class. All of them had amazing quirks and could not imagine trying to stick out between all those amazing quirks. "I'm so sorry Ryuga-chan...I felt like I just disappointed all of you, especially you. I felt like I abandoned you. I miss it..." Fu sighed before leaning on Ryuga.
Changing her tone, she looked over at her desk.
"General studies are boring but I'm doing well. People snicker at me for giving up hero studies. I still sorta miss hero studies. It's not the classes but you guys. I just knew if I had to use my quirk I would be in a hospital for a week. I really want to get better and maybe even be a hero but if I just use my quirk, I'll be useless for weeks. That can't be a hero, right?" Fu sighed a bit before starting to blush. She forgot one thing.
"I'm also d-dating Daiki so I feel extra guilty for leaving because he talked me up so much. I thought I could do it but..." Fu felt a few tears come down her cheeks. "I'm s-so sorry..."

There's a moment. After eating the treat, that Ryuga felt a little sick herself. She loved the cotton candy, but hated how it tasted afterwards. Still, it was a cute treat, and if Ryuga could breathe cotton candy out of her mouth, that would be fascinating. She had tried before, with varying results. Still. The horrid taste remained. Taking the bottlf extended to her, Ryuga began to sip the water herself, and after they finished their snacks, she looked to Futaba. Her reaction immediately had Ryuga shake her head, but she'd listen on completely before cutting in. She didn't think Fu needed to apologize for her feelings. General studies were going well, but immediately hearing people snicker at Futaba made Ryuga the very protective sister she felt like. But it was understandable WHY she left. A Quirk that left her in the hospital for a week... that would cut on academic progress, and ultimately make it hard to be a hero. But even so... Ryuga had a different thought process. D... dating Daiki? She crushed her water bottle just a little at the mention of that. Seeing Futaba cry though immediately stabilized her, as she pushed a finger to her cheek to wipe away some of the tears. "You have nothing to be sorry about, Himura-san-" the blonde began, a genuine smile plastered on her face. "-if anything, I want to apologize to you. I felt like I pushed you. I wanted you to stay. I had this whole plan to tutor you, and everything. I'd be a liar if I said I still didn't want to, but you made a choice. You left, because you felt it was right." Ryuga wiped away her other cheek's tears. "It doesn't matter if you're in that class. In General Studies. In America or Japan. I'll always be here for you. Because you're my friend, Himura-san." Ryuga moved closer, and pulled Futaba into a hug. A best friend hug, Ryuga making sure that if Futaba needed to let it out, she could. When they broke that hug, Ryuga felt something else. Her smile widened. "Now... Satou-san, huh?" she was making a teasing jab at Futaba, if only to see how much she liked him. "He's treating you right, right?"There's a jealousy that Ryuga faced. Not via love, but just from being the person there for Fu. Now it resurfaced. Hard.

Ryuga was a great friend. Futaba would not imagine still being at U.A. if it not where for her. She remembered contemplating leaving fairly early into the school year but she did not because of Ryuga. Ryuga made her see something that she really did not see. The potential in her that Fu simply never thought of. Leaning a bit on Ryuga, she muttered "You're fine...You didn't force me to stay here. I thought that there was nothing redeeming in my pursuits of being a hero." Taking another sip of water, she wondered how their friendship would have been affected by her leaving hero studies. They had not seen each other in a while and Fu imagined that it would become more common as hero studies ramp up.
When the subject changed to Daiki, Fu felt herself blush lightly. "Yes...He is very different in private than he is when people are around. He helped me, like you, with some self-esteem issues and..." Fu fell silent, giving Ryuga a soft smile. She hoped that Ryuga understood that she was happy with him. That he was treating her nice and that Fu was happy with him.
Taking another sip from water, Fu asked "Ryuga...can you help me train and get back into hero studies..."

Nothing redeeming? Ryuga couldn't agree to that. How could there not be somethinf redeeming about a girl who just wanted to be a heroine? About someone who had a dream? Sure, Futaba might be fragile. She could be down on herself. But deep inside, Futaba was admirable. Ryuga hoped Fu knew that. Ryuga may have her beat physically, and maybe her drive wasn't one that wavered, but Ryuga was sure that Fu's heart was bigger. In the end, that's what dreams are founded on, right? A strength of heart strong enough to light the way. But Ryuga held her tongue. Instead, her focus was on Daiki, as she listened. Still a little teasing in her demeanor. Like an older sister giving a jab to her younger for finding someone she really liked. The blonde smiled back. "Oooooh?" she responded back, elongating the vowel, if only to see Futaba blush. To be honest, seeing her blush lightly at Daiki was cute by itself. "Well. If you like him, then so do I. Besides, I-" her own face showed her own blush. "-kind of... like Seraphine-san." she tried to look away, passing it off as nothing. Her face sweating. Yeah. Good luck, girlfriend. Though. After a sip of water, Futaba said those words. Ryuga stopped completely. To help Futaba? To get her back into Hero Studies. Her smile was bigger. She leaned back, she pondered the question, now off of the boy talk. "Himura-san. When shall we start?"
