"Prove to me that you won't quit under the pressure like you did. One more chance, Himura. If you waiver one more time, you will be expelled."
Futaba wanted to back into hero studies. Ryuga had been training Fu through the last few weeks and felt like she was ready to return. She had gone to her former home room teacher who told her 'no' at first. It made sense to Futaba at first but she felt disheartened by what her sensei said. It seemed like that her sensei noticed this and gave her one more chance. It was her last chance at being a hero, according to her sensei. It was a daunting task especially after what she heard from her friends that her task might damage her beyond belief. It did not matter though. Futaba was going to beat this challenge. If she can't do what her classmates had done, why would she be allowed to be in the hero course.
Futaba had kept on her uniform as she walked to Ground Beta. She was not sure what was going to happen but she knew it won't be considered good. She did not have a gym uniform anymore so she had to opt for this. It was later in the day and she could imagine the teacher was going to be grumpy. Arriving in the training area, Fu sat down where she originally sat down on that faithful day. She could feel herself getting more and more nervous as time passed, wondering when Meka would come out and what he had planned for her.
Nervously twirling with her hair, she readied herself for a day of relentless punishment, if Ryuga's injuries where any indication of what was to come.

Itsuka had received a note.
From Aoi.
About that Himura (small).
So apparently, she hadn’t given up afterall. She wanted to still be a hero. He wasn’t too sure about someone who had given up once, when some kids out there were dying to be on this course in this school (literally. He had seen it himself when he was younger.) but well, Aoi had asked him to ...er...what was it again? Talk to her? Train her? He forgot but well...uh...something. He supposed he would talk to this girl first then see what in the world he was meant to do about it.
He also did feel like he wasn’t the best person to do this, seeing as he was infamous for not being able to handle a situation pleasantly but...well he’d keep an eye on the yellow plastic meter, that would be his best friend and hopefully everything would be fine. He didn’t fancy getting another lecture from the head of Heroics about yet another PTA complaint…
He walked into the ground, his usual slouched posture and blank features in check as he scanned around the place with his good eye. Oh. there she was.
“Hey.”
He said simply, walking over to the girl before sitting on a low wall by the nearest building. It was a bother to stand up for long when he didn’t have to. Conserve all that precious energy and all that.
“So. Why you here?”

For a decent while, Futaba expected the teacher not to show up. Who would blame them though? Futaba certainly would not. He was asked to examine a student that walked out of his class and transferred courses. In life, people usually don't get second chances. Futaba was fortunate enough to get a second chance in life and she can not mess up. This was her last chance. This was her last chance to prove to U.A. that she was not a mistake.
Futaba was about to leave when she heard the same voice from that faithful day. She could remember seeing her friends come back from that class and feeling extremely guilty. They all did not look too good and could not bare to be near them so she spent the rest of the night wandering around U.A. and the town. She almost even got on a train back home.
Quickly getting up to give him a bow, Futaba returned his greeting "H-hello Meka-sensei.
Good start, Fu. Not sounding willing at all. Great start.
When he asked why she was here, Fu sighed a bit. Sato-sensei did send a note right? Regardless that did not matter.
"I was given a second chance. I found something...I guess a desire to be a hero in my own right. So after a long talk I was told that you would t-test me." Futaba tried to be as clear as possible as she spoke to Meka. She did not want any of her words to be misconstrue for something else.

“...Mmm...I see.”
Itsuka replied after listening to the girl. Test her. Oh, okay. He guessed he could...do that? Running a hand through his hair, his left eye focused on the young girl’s face.
“...But why do you wanna be a hero?”
He asked simply. The answer varied vastly depending on the person, and it was more a curiosity thing then anything else. This year’s 1-A were… interesting to say the least. The first training lesson showed that if nothing else. In a way, some reminded the ex pro hero of himself when he was that age, desperate to make their bodies work the way they wanted, pushing the limits over what was sensible or smart. Even if he was a living proof of why that was bad, he couldn’t blame them fully. That desire to be better, to do more, just one more time… that was an important will to have, that’s what Itsuka had always thought, even if the training manual or teaching manual or rules or common sense said otherwise. Without that will to try and reach that much further, was anyone going to be able to get their hands on what they want, protect those they wanted to protect, defeat who they wanted to defeat?
...oh right, this wasn’t good way of thinking for a teacher.
Good thing he wasn’t saying any of this out loud.
But this girl, if he could recall, had quit for whatever reason already once, so why did she want to carry on again? People with weak will were just a liability to a team, and if nothing, he was one who thought teamwork was important. If one person messed up, it could spell death for the whole team. He waited for the response, stretching lazily where he sat like a large black cat. It was impossible to keep his quirk on all the time but man, dragging his body around was so bothersome sometimes...

The question Fu was dreading that question but she had thought about that before. She had talked about it with Daiki, Ryuga, her brother, and even her sensei. It was an odd conversation to have with some of the people but it sure gave some insight for her. Insight on what people thought of her prospects, especially from Sato-sensei. She saw a more negative light while her friends saw a positive light. It made her go within herself. She trained with Ryuga and did her homework while writing any thoughts she had about her future about a hero. She never really had an answer down pat but she had to try. He was probably testing her. Some sort Holy Grail test probably.
"Well, if I was honest. It's a long answer. Growing up in my parents' and even my brother's shadow. They had cool quirks and were famous to some extent, even Onii-chan. Then my parents got hurt and I twisted into my mind that I had to be a hero. To be allowed to keep my name. My parents did so much for me and I wanted to pay them back..." Fu went silent for a few seconds, grimacing a bit.
"That was not the right reason to be a hero. That should never be." Fu sighed before cracking her fingers. "I want to be a hero because I want to put smiles on people's faces. I remember when a girl in my old school met my mother and the genuine smile that was on her face by just seeing my mother. I don't care if I fight big villains or daring rescue missions, I just want to be a hero that people look up to. It's probably super lame and not a good reason but that's why I want to be a hero."
Fu ended her explanation with a soft smile.
