Aoi had placed her record player on the teacher's desk, playing some pleasant music over it. She needed some calm music before the storm that would be this meeting. Recent events had made Aoi feel the need to address some issues that have come up in the class. The recent events had provoked some actions from the students that Aoi had to address. It was her duty as a teacher to address and debrief people about all of it. She knew they intervened for the school but the cost was incredible. While some students did get off easier, most students did not. The group that fought in the theatre was a prime example. She gave them some rest before "inviting" them to a meeting that she highly recommended them to attend. Looking at the list of names, Aoi sat on top of the teacher's desk. It was a surprise to see Himura's name there but she was not going to doubt the administration too much. They had readmitted her into hero course after what had occurred. Hone was a worry for Aoi, seeing as it would be the second time he had hurt him so much. Satou had been his usual self. Hoden was similar to Hone but this was her first time offence. From all people, Seraphine did the "best". Regardless though, she did not care about how badly they got hurt. What mattered is that the students understood what their actions meant in a greater sense of scale. Humming a bit, Aoi waited for the students to arrive. "This will be fun..."

In a... Surprising turn of events the boy would be the first to arrive. Gone were the times where he ran in at the last moment having to use his quirk to make up for lost time he should've been prepared for. Instead, he entered in for the meeting promptly and well dressed. The uniform was awesome, of course. Not like he wore something beyond uniform, it was a school meeting after all. His hand grasped the side of the doorway as he opened it, peering inside. He looked tired believe it or not. Compared to his generally enthusiastic and flamboyant self despite his aura of excitement, his from his body and eyes he looked visibly tired. Physically, of course. His exploits in the theater definitely took a toll on his body, he pushed himself further than maybe he had too? He wasn't sure, but it was a matter of not wanting to put in too little. He didn't think of the spell of exhaustion that would follow as his body worked to bring itself back up to speed.
Wandering inside he gave his normal cordial bow towards Aoi but otherwise was quiet. Making his way towards one of the chair he'd pull it out and take a seat. Leaning against the back it was only the notion that he shouldn't sit awkwardly in the room when it was just him and Aoi that he actually spoke up instead of closing his eyes and falling into a half-awake trance.
"Hey Sato-sensei. This is about the attack on the school, right?" He would ask quietly. Despite his portion of the topic of discussion being on 'his usual self', he seemed anything but the chipper self he usually is. Not to be mistaken for depressing, just tired. He had a look about him that spoke that if he had the energy to be his normal self he probably still would be. Just the engine kicking back up.

UA was really, quite impressive. Just days after the villain attack, everything was somewhat back to normal, lessons presuming as if nothing happened, students and teachers going about their daily lives just like they had before it all happened.
Almost.
Morning training. Classes. Break. Classes. Lunch break. Classes. Hospital visit. Work. Evening training. Sleep. Repeat. Morning training. Classes. Break. Classes. Lunch break. Classes. Hospital visit. Work. Evening training. Sleep. Repeat. Morning training. Classes. Break. Classes. Lunch break. Classes. Hospital visit. Work. Evening training. Sleep. Repeat.
The days of the aftermath sort of blurred together in a way that meant Raphael was simply dragging himself through them, his body and facial expressions, replies to greetings, questions, requests on almost autopilot. Thinking back now, what had he done these last few days? What lessons had he had? What was the contents of his work? He...couldn’t really remember.
He simply could remember going to visit Hone after he finished his duties everyday, what ifs, I could have dones, I should have dones, I should have saids playing in his mind on constant repeat throughout the day, every waking moment playing through the blonde’s head.
It was a constant noise, his mind refusing to shut up; but to be honest, it was one he welcomed as he felt like he at least deserved that, as the only reason he was mostly unhurt (a small burn mark on his arm to shoulder was nothing compared to what others had suffered) was because of the others around him who had protected him but… he had failed to protect them in return. He had assisted in pushing them too far, with no defensive maneuvers to cover up for it.
He was a failure.
What would his father say? How could he be this bad when he had been given such a natural, what some would say unfair or unethical advantage over others? Should he not be making up for that fact by being better than everyone else, being perfect? Why couldn’t he do as he was expected? Why did others have to suffer for his shortfalls?
He hated himself.
Downing a bottle of Lipovitan as he got out of his last lesson, he went to the bathroom first to check his face. He looked alright, he supposed. He didn’t look too tired, he couldn’t sleep all that well recently but these drinks seemed to be doing their job, which was a good thing as he had a shoot tomorrow for some promo shots. He had to also learn that song by today. Wait… what was he meant to do now?
Oh yes.
Go and see Sato-sensei. He had a feeling he knew what it would be, but it didn’t matter, in any case he would attend, he had no reason not to. Making his way to the classroom, he entered and gave a small bow to the teacher before going to find a seat next to Daiki who was already there.
At least on the outside, as he had his social face on currently, he looked decently presentable, even if his posture was a little stiff and his facial features controlled and tense.

Slowly the door slid open in the back of the room. An eerie silence seemed to creep in before finally a foot stepped into the frame. No doubt the people were expecting to see one Taka Hone, however, the sight that greeted them was much different. To begin, they were considerably taller. A hulk of a man entered the room, standing as high as Daiki entered the room, almost struggling to fit his large frame into the doorway. His golden-coloured eyes scanned the surroundings behind his spectacles, before he closed the door behind him. He viewed the three people before him, standing at his full height as he looked upon Aoi. He let out a long, drawn out sigh as his eyes moved down to the floor, before his first large step made its way towards the front of the class. His feet slowly moved forward, striking the ground with a large thud. Not one of anger, but one of fatigue, one that had spent many sleepless nights attempting to get here as quickly as possible. As he made his way to the front of the classroom, his eyes moved up once more to the teacher. “Aoi Sato?” He asked, his voice low as the dirt. “Good morning. My name is Taka Tsuchi, formerly “The Earth Shaker” Chasm. I am Taka Hone’s Father.” He explained with a low, gravelly voice, as he extended his hand towards Aoi in greeting. “I have been informed that you will be holding a debrief about the incident a few nights ago. My hope is that you will permit me to stay, so that I may ascertain as to why my son is…” He paused for a moment, struggling to find the words, possibly through some disbelief that he was in the state he was, or maybe to hide the pure severity of the situation to the children in the room. Regardless of their heroic actions over the last few days, they were still students, and would be for a number of years. Perhaps he did not wish to scar them so early into their careers. But then again, it was bound to come sooner or later. “…Currently predisposed…” His overbearing form shifted slightly, as he turned to look at the two boys behind him. His eyes scanned the first, before moving onto the other, looking down upon them, almost inspecting them for something. “Would I be correct in assuming that one of you is Raphael, and the other is Daiki?” (Note: Tsuchi appearance:

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Life is all but a clock.
Fu's head had been hurting the last few days, ever since the attack on the school. She had overdone it with her quirk and she knew it. After what happened, she could barely remember the last few days. She spent some time in a clinic, getting some sort of migraine treatment. It was mostly a therapy stay but it did help. It was a lot of medication and little light exposure. They added calm classical music later but that was after the medication had taken its effect. It was only a day but Fu felt a lot better than she did after she somehow overwhelmed such a high ranking villain. She knew Daiki-sama helped her but she contributed. Apparently she contributed enough that the administration decided to enrol into hero course again.
Walking through the hallway, trying to avoid looking directly at the lights, Futaba wondered what was waiting for her. She had not been in hero course for a decent amount of time and some people probably had joined the class after she left. It was an awkward situation that Fu didn't want to deal with.
Gingerly pushing open the classroom door she was surprised to see Daiki there already. That wasn't the thing that surprised her the most. The imposing, familiar figure of a ex hero surprised her. Walking in, she gave Sato-sensei a bow before giving a bow to other former hero. He was around when her parents were working. Taking her seat, she waited for Sato to start talking.

Sure, she was forced to stay in bed to allow the medication given to her to take effect. Thankfully, they had, leaving the blonde girl to finally get her breathing under check. The unfortunate part was that due to the burning of Nidhogg, she had to cut a lot of her hair off. [break][break] It didn't look like a lot though, which was surprising. But it definitely looked shorter than it had before. Adding to that, her left arm was burned rather badly, and thus she had to have it wrapped up quite a bit. It was wrapped in a bandage. But, she would be allowed to leave after a few days. Finally able to see Hone-san, Satou-san, Himura-san, and Seraphine-san. Hopefully, they were okay. Sato-sensei had ordered them to come together. [break][break] ... so imagine her surprise, when she enters the room to find mostly everyone she expected, and an older man. Ryuga's gaze was moved to him, and staring at him for a second, she noticed... no Taka. This put a few things in perspective. It meant that Hone-san had either not arrived yet, or... this was someone giving some rather bad news about this all. [break][break] No. This was all her fault. [break][break] Ryuga found herself sitting down, hair not tied up, and in her U.A. uniform. She sat, cross-armed as she rubbed her arms quietly. Her face was somber. No amount of consoling would make her feel any better. It was clear that Ryuga knew that she was the cause of their injuries because she couldn't keep her emotions about her father in check. And now, Hone-san was hurt badly enough not to come, or worse. [break][break] Way to set the standard for the first year... [attr="class","addy"] addy

Aoi continued to hum as students started to file in. Daiki Satou, surprisingly, was the first student to come in. He usually was the late one so Aoi could not help but feel surprised. Maybe some sense was knocked into him by the villains? That or some sense was transferred to him? Whatever happened, he got of decently. He was not in terrible place after the events so he might be able to listen.
Next was Raphael Seraphine. He seemed to have played his support role well. His quirk was suited for support work and he apparently played the role well. From what she was told though, there were some close calls. More on that later. She really could not finish her thoughts before a older man came into the classroom. He was familiar to her. He was Hone Taka's father. If her students had hero parents, Aoi would most likely know it unless they were very localised. She had that last year.
Regardless, he was a concerned parent. She could sympathise with him. Ever since her brother got her, Aoi had been super worried. Waving him to sit down, AOi simply said "I will try to provide some answers as soon as everyone gets here. If those do not suffice, we can talk to my office." Aoi hummed a bit more, feeling a slight tap on her legs. One of her cats had wandered in. Tapping the desk, the brown cat jumped up to get some affection from her owner.
Petting the cat as Futaba Himura came into the class. Aoi was still surprised to see her. From the report, Futaba had been disoriented and spent a day in the clinic. If what she was told was true, Futaba earned her spot back. Aoi was worried though. The girl had overused her quirk and it had completely put her out of it.
Next was Ryuga Hoden. The fact the girl was here was a miracle. Her injuries were not the worst in the group but she sure cut it close. Regardless, they were all here now. Time for a talk.
"So, as you know, villains attacked the city and U.A. The city was short on heroes so we were forced to send teachers to help the city. This left the school vulnerable. This meant students were given the all clear to engage. I would have not suggested this but I'm not in charge. Now, first with some positives." Aoi paused, massaging her cat's left ear.
"I'm proud of you for being able to take down a villain as basically civilians. You had no upperclassmen students with experience to help and you took down a rank 4 villain. Impressive. " Aoi gave them a meaning look. A look that a mother would convey on her kids that she was proud of them. A look that she learned from her own mother.
"However, what you did was reckless. In the end, you got lucky. Luck is always part of hero work but never rely on it. Luck was on your side that day. You had a 5% of succeeding and you did. I would say, you still got off badly. Taka Hone is in the hospital and two of you had to be for a short time." Aoi paused a bit, petting her cat some more.
"If this situation ever arises again, even if the school says it's okay, I would think long and hard about it. There are professionals who deal with this sort of stuff, you are not one of them yet. You might think you can deal with these sort of situations all ready but you simply don't. " Aoi finished before adding
"Any questions before we move on to something little more fun?"

A N T H E M f o r t h e p e o p l e Daiki just seemed to sit there quietly. While focused, the way he just looked off into negative space within the room could easily make it seem like he was distracted. However any motions to confirm his attention would come up positive with him quickly reaffirming his focus and whatnot. He was multi-tasking in a way. With some time away from the scene he'd been revisiting it mentally. It all went so fast, at first it seemed manageable with one step at a time, and then things outside of his control happened in quick succession. He wasn't strong enough yet to actually have control over a situation, and that's why it spiraled the way it did. All of his classmates were the same of course, but even so he just... He applauded himself surprisingly. He had no interest in beating himself down, he did what he could and most importantly what he was capable of. He put everything he had into that and even now he was still feeling the exhaustion, cuts were still healing up and bruises were still just barely fading into non-existence. Worst of all was his leg injury, the definitive crack that he'd heard was lucky to just be a minor fracture. Even still, he wasn't able to be sprinting around anytime soon. He had to take things slow and deliberately, avoiding placing too much pressure on the leg in question.
Interlocking his fingers he first addressed Chasm's question. The man looked proper, kept together and it's clear he's seen his fair share. Strong features, but he held a worrisome sort of professionalism about him. The kind that overlooked empathy in favor of quirk marriages or strict lessons that bypassed any connection and just caused struggle. It was a passing thought because following it up was one considering to not judge a book by it's cover. Besides, strength might come in many different ways, and the situation was grim. He didn't expect the guy to be happy right now, his son almost died. That makes a lore more sense, he's likely a perfectly fine guy. Answering him he'd speak up, and in doing so announce his intended hero name for the first time ever.
"Satou Daiki of 1-A, Anthem. It's nice to meet you sir." Daiki said along with confirming who he was. Turning towards Aoi he listened to her words. First neutral and then positive, then the worst of it, and it was some really bad stuff in his mind. The word 'luck' had always sat wrong with him. It's a method for people to brush aside some real amazing things, the extraordinary. Every one of them worked themselves to the bone to survive and come out on top and it's brushed aside as sheer luck. They had little control in it, fate was just on their side. His gaze just turned to the side momentarily, before regarding Aoi once more. He knew that he wasn't ready for these situations, and nodded at the end of her words. When she asked for questions though he'd speak.
"No questions here."

Post by Raphael Seraphine on Apr 30, 2019 21:26:05 GMT
When the blonde older man started talking, Raphael gave a sharp inhale.
Hone’s father.
He knew he had to speak to his friend’s family sooner or later but… well, he supposed it was better now then never.
“Yes, I am Seraphine Raphael, Taka-san.”
Raphael’s voice was stiff, formal, trained, taking on the textbook qualities of a polite, clear voice very unlike how he usually sounded. With his expression serious and rather grave, he did, actually resemble his father for once. He felt deep shame in having to reveal his family name for this sort of situation, it was more than dreadful but...it had to be done.
Without another word, he neatly sat himself, his legs folded under him on the floor of the classroom, facing the older man. He then folded his hands infront of his knees on the floor forming a triangle shape with his hands.
“I was with your son, Hone-kun the whole time and as a support...and someone who claims to be his friend I...deeply apologise for letting him get to this situation not just once, but twice. My incompetence as a supporting quirk hero and my failure to work with Hone-kun to be able to utilise his quirk within safe limits has brought forth this situation- and for this I...cannot apologise enough to yourself and him for my part in this happening.”
At the last words he lowered his head down, barely a centimeter from the floor and stayed in that position. He knew his father was probably rolling in his grave for ny son of his to be doing such a thing but at the same time, such a serious level mistake had been made and as Hone wasn’t awake for him to apologise to, he would do so to his father first.

Tsuchi stood for a moment, merely observing the boys in the room. As the pair responded, his eyes fell to Satou, looking the student up and down for a moment.
"I speak to my son frequently...He speaks highly of both of you." Taka explained, his eyes looking down at Daiki's desk, avoiding eye contact with him. "Especially you...One would say it is almost to an enviable level..."
Suddenly, Taka turned his attention to Raphael sharply, his eyes wide. Hone had failed to explain that Raphael was a Seraphine child, hell, THE Seraphine child! And before he knew it he was on his knees before him, prostrating himself, asking for forgiveness for what had happened to his son. Just as quickly as he had turned to look away, his face beginning to run the risk of turning red.
"Stand up!" Tsuchi demanded, perhaps a lot more sharply than he had intended, instinctively putting his hand over his mouth as if to try and take his tone back, "You...You shouldn't have to apologise for my Son's actions."
As Taka stood for a moment, the embarrassment he felt at such a humiliating offering to him, his eyes looked up to see Fu and Ryuga enter the room. His eyes narrowed slightly at the first child to enter, the sight of her bringing back memories of people he knew...Of people he used to know, but he could not put his finger on it. Then again, relations to pro-heroes were frequent in schools. Hone himself was proof of that. He watched in silence as the child bowed to him, before taking her seat in silence. Finally, he looked over to the blond girl, watching as she sat in her chair uncomfortably. Her sombre expression almost mirrored by Taka himself, as he also took a seat. He sat in silence, his eyes watching over the scene before him as Aoi began her debriefing.
Slowly, as she came to the end of her explanation, Tsuchi could feel his heart sink a little. He watched the children as she explained the situation, his gaze catching Daiki, his face giving away his frustration as he turned to look elsewhere. With his response, Taka took a deep breath before directing himself to the rest of the group.
"Is there anything else anyone would like to add?" Tsuchi asked, looking at the other three.

Futaba could feel the tension in the room. When her best friend entered, Futaba wanted to run up and give her a hug. Back in Fu's time of need, Ryuga would not hesitate to cheer up Futaba but Fu simply could not. It did not feel appropriate to do at the time. Sighing quietly, Fu took out her phone. Pulling up her texting messages, she shot a quick text message to Ryuga.
'Let's go out for some tea after class. A little cheer up, I guess <3'
Putting her phone away, she focused in on what her sensei was saying.
It was positive, even with her warnings that she gave the class. Fu had a lot of time to herself after the events that happened at the school. What she did was reckless and dumb in her mind. She never would have done what she did if would have thought about what was happening. Times were desperate though and she did not regret her actions.
"No, Sensei." Fu said, responding to Sato-sensei's question.
When Taka's father spoke up, Fu looked down at her feet. She really did not have anything to add.
Just like you have nothing to add to 1-A. The thought didn't linger long but it was there. It came to her mind again.

There was a level of pride, but reprimanding them too for their actions. But even so, it wasn't their fault. Ryuga felt herself almost wanting to interrupt Sato-sensei, but held her tongue, staring at the floor. She felt her phone vibrate, but she waited until the moment the redhead teacher stopped speaking. [break][break] They had gotten lucky. Most of them. But it was time to be an adult and own up to this. Kokoro always knew that responsibility was more important than passing it off. If she didn't speak now, she would never be able to. As Seraphine-san, bless his heart, spoke so modestly about being unable to help Taka. He did all he could, but Ryuga, upon hearing that father speak, and ask if anyone liked to add anything. [break][break] "It was my fault." [break][break] Ryuga pulled her legs to her chest, and hid her face for a second. Her eyes were watering rapidly, and it was hard for her to see. She knew what she said, and she had to keep going with it. Letting it sit like this wasn't an option. Even if she could no longer be a hero because of the mistake. [break][break] "I acted rashly... I... my... my dad... I couldn't think straight, and I... I'm so sorry, I put your son so much at risk... and now I'm here, and he's in the hospital because of me, or worse, and I-" she pulled her head up to face them all. Her face was a mess of tears. Both orange globes seemed to be unable to quit. She blamed herself. For getting Satou-san hurt. For letting Himura-san get hurt. And for nearly getting Hone-san killed. [break][break] "Sensei. I don't have a right to be here." Those droplets of tears hit the floor. [break][break] Ouch. [attr="class","addy"] addy
