Post by Isamu Suzuki on May 15, 2019 3:44:18 GMT
After his recent reencounter with the teenaged criminal Akuma and the thoroughly humiliating report he had had to give to his teacher about the encounter, Isamu had done his best to put the villain out of mind and focus on his own training and education. He wasn’t a hero yet, so until he got his provisional license, or graduated, there was no sense in worrying about something he could do nothing about. To stick his nose in further, after violating his probation once, would just be inviting more problems for himself.
Still…
Try as he might, he couldn’t put the matter out of his mind entirely. Despite not being legally able to act, he still felt a certain amount of personal responsibility for the situation. Even if he had never partaken in the less savory activities Akuma’s gang of thugs had gotten up to, in his heart of hearts he knew he couldn’t claim ignorance to it. Every busted knee or stolen purse was on his conscience because he hadn’t had the will or the conviction to stop it. At least not until they had crossed a line he couldn’t ignore.
He had hoped he could put that part of his life behind him, but Akuma had escaped in the fracas, and then showed up, of all places, in Musutafu. He had kept an ear out for information on the teen, hoping one day he could set that mistake fully right. And now, it seemed, fate had played a slightly different hand than he had expected.
One of his classmates, Sato Daiki, had been selected for a mission to capture Akuma, along with two third years he wasn’t familiar with. As much as he wanted to be on that mission, he knew there were a million reasons for him not to be selected, and he was fine with that.
Really, he was.
But he wasn’t about to let a fellow classmate go without at least offering what little information he could. He didn’t particularly like the guy, but he couldn’t live with himself if something he knew could have made a difference… even if it risked exposing his own connection to the delinquent.
… Satou was tough, he could take care of himself, right?
Sighing, Isamu finished typing out the message and hit Send. His phone beeped and he put it away.
SMS sent to Satou Daiki: I need to talk with you. Meet me at Ground Beta after classes. [Pin]
Isamu knew it was out of character for him, but he hoped the other student would play things cool. As much as he wanted to help ensure his classmate’s safety, he really wanted to keep any involvement of his under wraps. What he was doing wasn’t technically against his probation, but the less he looked like he was meddling with things the better.
And so, as much as he wanted to take a nap, after classes had finished he booked it for the training grounds, keeping an eye out and waiting for the other student to show up.

[attr="class","sinner"] [attr="class","sinner1"] [attr="class","sinback"] [attr="class","sinnert"] Damn, life was good. Well into the afternoon Satou would be in one of a surprising amount of indoor by the books classes. This one in particular wasn't even really related to Heroism in an obvious way. It had ties and that's why Daiki kept an ear open, but for the most part with his elbow perched on the rim of the window his attention was on that everlasting blue sky. What class in particular it was didn't really matter for the context of just about anything, one of many that 1-A went in and out. He had to make a note of visiting Fu-chan later after School and bring her some of the stuff they learned and that she missed, but that was alright. He'd overcome that summit, he was no longer really held back by the guilt he imposed upon himself. After that common knowledge around UA was that there was some coop going on. UA was a school to make a lot of exceptions if the stars lined up, because Hero work experience is tenfold better than any course would ever be. So it would be that earlier in the week it became common knowledge that 1-A student would be taken up on a coop opportunity offered by Pleiades. Humbled Daiki would've been a fool to decline such an extended offer, to have that kind of record to catch the attention of an agency and having not even reached the Sports Festival was... Nice, to say the least. It reduced the stress and reminded him that things were okay. He was doing good. Then his phone vibrated in his pocket. He'd glance towards the teacher in the middle of a lecture. Though more importantly he looked at the person spending their time for his self improvement and their own livelihood. He liked to see people as more than what they did, who they were. Teachers were a prime example of this, thrown in so many stereotypes and so confined by curriculum that it's easy to forget they're all people as well. This was especially true when he was a kid, then again kids are like a natural disaster. He could barely remember some of his childhood memories but a week never went by when his parents didn't in comedic hindsight recount a disaster of his own doing back then. Painting walls, flying over a hill during Winter on a turtle shell toboggan, among other things. Though on the other hand it was just a single text, he'd be quick about it. Sliding up his phone he'd let the thumbprint scanner identify his signature, it was a text from Isamu. They never really talked much and he felt a little bit of that same feeling he felt from Jun. A little bit of... Distaste for the appearance he put on. He understood that, but it's also why he was surprised to be getting a text from him. Glancing over towards the person in question likely at another desk in the same room, he gave a nod and tucked away his phone back in his pocket. He could've gave a response... But the teacher deserved the respect of all ears. The class as all do, eventually did come to an end though. With the sky still blue but not for long at the current hour he had a little bit of a trip to make. It's not like the Grounds were a short walk like the track field or the gym, it was kind of like USJ. Taking half an hour on one of quite a few routes immediately after school he'd briefly stop by the hospital to see Fu for the day. After that taking about fifteen minutes it gave cause for Isamu to be there first and have to wait for a little. Though in no time at all Daiki showed up at a jogging speed. It was a massive area, lots of buildings and had Isamu not wanted to have been found he likely wouldn't have been. Still, likely in a more open area Daiki would wave over to his classmate and slow down as he made his way forward. " Hey, Suzuki-san. What is it?" Daiki would ask, just finding a place to take a seat and lean forward, elbows resting over his thighs. word count here ● @taghere ● notes here [attr="class","sinner2"] [attr="class","sinnerlyric"]ANTHEM FOR THE PEOPLE [newclass=.cred]text-align:center;font-size:6pt;color:rgb(132, 132, 132);letter-spacing:1px;font-family:verdana;margin-top:5px;[/newclass] [newclass=.cred a]color:rgb(132, 132, 132);font-size:6pt;letter-spacing:1px;font-family:verdana;[/newclass] [newclass=.sinner]width:420px;height:500px;background:#fcfcfc;padding:10px;border:1px solid #f0f0f0;[/newclass] [newclass=.sinner1]width:415px;height:495px;margin-top:2px;border:1px solid #f0f0f0;overflow:hidden;[/newclass] [newclass=.sinner2]width:415px;height:495px;float:center;margin-top:-390px;background: url(http://p2.i.ntere.st/cac2dde43e9ed972a1506a77cc406d91_480.jpg);transition: 0.9s ease-in-out;transition-delay:1s;[/newclass] [newclass=.sinner:hover .sinner2]margin-left:-850px;transition: 0.9s ease-in-out[/newclass] [newclass=.sinnerlyric]width:330px;padding-top:405px;text-shadow:#333 1px 1px;font-family:georgia;font-size:25px;text-transform:uppercase;color:#fcfcfc;padding-bottom:5px;color:#fcfcfc[/newclass] [newclass=.sinnerlyric span]font-size:108%[/newclass] [newclass=.sinback]width:400px;height:380px;margin-top:8px;background-color:#fcfcfc[/newclass] [newclass=.sinnert]width:400px;height:465px;margin-top:10px;overflow:auto;text-align:justify;font-family:verdana;font-size:10px;padding:2px;color:#666;background-color:#fcfcfc;line-height:13px;opacity:0;transition:0.8s ease-in-out;transition-delay:0.9s;[/newclass] [newclass=.sinnert span]color:#df444b;[/newclass] [newclass=.sinnert b]color:#555;[/newclass] [newclass=.sinner:hover .sinnert]opacity:1;transition:0.8s ease-in-out;transition-delay:0.9s;[/newclass] [newclass=.sinnert::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb:vertical]border:2px solid #fcfcfc; background-color:#aaa;[/newclass] [newclass=.sinnert::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb:horizontal]background-color:#fcfcfc; border:1px solid #fcfcfc;[/newclass] [newclass=.sinnert::-webkit-scrollbar]width:5px; height:5px;background-color:#fcfcfc; border:1px solid #fcfcfc;[/newclass]

After sending the text Isamu didn’t look at Daiki, not wanting to draw any more attention to himself by looking behind himself. Besides, he’d either show up or he wouldn’t. No sense worrying about it until that time came later.
His chosen meeting place was quite a bit out of the way, true, but in case he needed to divulge the more uncomfortable details about his past, he wanted as few people around as possible. He also didn’t want it getting back to anybody else that he had been kibitzing in someone else’s mission, especially when getting involved in matters that he wasn’t supposed to. Besides, he had other things he could do while he was out here, so he could kill multiple birds with one stone, at least.
With Daiki taking a detour before arriving, Isamu tried to put the extra time to good use. He stationed himself on a fire escape with his laptop, using the high vantage point to keep an eye out for his classmate, and the laptop to keep digging for any information he could provide to keep his classmate safe. He wasn’t really getting anywhere, though, just searching on the public web. His parents might have been able to provide more info, but… the less he brought up the topic of Akuma with them the better.
The area was quiet, and he easily heard Daiki’s arrival, and even spotted him from pretty far off. By the time he arrived Isamu had made his way back down to the ground level with his laptop, stashing it away in his backpack and turning to greet his classmate. “Good afternoon, Satou-san. Sorry to call you so far out of the way, but I was heading out here this way for another reason, and I thought it would be best to meet out here.”
And now to explain that he had been… well, spying on his mission info. “Look, I’ll apologize in advance for sticking my nose where it doesn’t belong, but I know you’re going on a mission to try and capture Akuma and his cohorts. I happen to know a thing or two about him, as he’s from Osaka originally.” Which is technically true. “I didn’t want to let you go without sharing what I could.”

[attr="class","sinner"] [attr="class","sinner1"] [attr="class","sinback"] [attr="class","sinnert"] After hearing what Isamu opened up with he'd pause for just a brief moment before brushing off Suzuki-san's apologies like dust in the wind. He didn't seem all too bothered with the news that Isamu gave him, what reason would be have to be worried? It was apparent given how his fellow classmate started off that he had some sort of preexisting knowledge of this Akuma. How deep it went was another story, but even the worst case scenario was alright in Daiki's books. He wasn't naive enough to think there weren't horrible stories among the members of their class. UA attracts extremes, extremes that go far enough to make it through that entry exam both good and bad. And if he couldn't handle some sensitive conversation what sort of morale support would he be for the rest of the class? It didn't matter at any rate, since he really didn't have an issue. At least as far as Isamu could tell. He'd speak. " Hey hey, first don't worry about it Suzuki-san. I'd like to think I'm your friend, if something's important to you it's important to me. I suppose you have ties to this Akuma then in some shape or form, so I can understand why you'd want to be involved. You can just ask me, I'll tell you whatever's happening. It wouldn't be right for me to exclude you from something important in your life. Either way I appreciate you taking the initiative to talk to me, I want to help however I can but it's hard to help when everyone is quiet haha." He'd say, sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck. " It means a lot that you want to help out, and I'm open to whatever information you might have. And honest, swear to god this conversation goes where you want it to and that's it. If you want this to stay between you and me it does. Privacy's important, I get that too. So what's the brief, then?" He asked before shifting once more. Sitting on one of the metal pipes he leaned back into a structure and relaxed a little. Suzuki had his full attention. He was taking this seriously. If not his words, the focus he was displaying was a show of just how much he valued this. Isamu made a good choice in contacting him, from the looks of it. Isamu crossed his arms over his chest, narrowing his eyes at Daiki a little bit. “I didn’t say I had ties to Akuma,” he said, just a smidgen too forcefully. Shit, is he making assumptions or is he a little bit smarter than I give him credit for? “I just don’t want him to reestablish himself here after being driven out of Osaka already. Either way, I won’t ask you to tell me anything about your mission. I can’t act on the information and I can just check the news later to find out what happened. Don’t let me get you into trouble giving out sensitive mission information.”
Okay, so it’s not like this was a top secret black-ops job, but it still wasn’t a good idea to blab that idea out to anyone who wasn’t already part of the mission spec.
“Look, he was routed once before. He just moved shop and started up again. And he’ll keep moving unless you three can bring him down. He’s responsible for hurting a lot of people… well, I’m sure you’ve read his files. I won’t bother going into all that again.”
“Look, the main thing I have to tell you is to be careful, and to watch your back. I know it seems like a long way to call you out here just to tell you that, but hear me out. I don’t know what his quirk is, but what I can tell you is that he’s clever. He’s—“ I hope this doesn’t tip my hand too much “—only a few years older than we are and twice now he’s managed to recruit and organize a large number of followers. He’s strong, he can keep his people in line, but I don’t think his quirk is especially strong or bombastic. If I had to make a guess, I’d go for something subtle but effective. A stronger and more flashy quirk would be harder to keep a secret. I don’t have any concrete evidence for that though, so take that with a grain of salt. It could just be that all the masks confuse the two.
“I can’t say as much about the other two. Oni followed Akuma from Osaka, so expect them to work well together. Vanish… I can’t really tell you anything about them. Your briefing can probably say more than I could. I don’t recognize that name from Osaka, though.” [/i]

[attr="class","sinner"] [attr="class","sinner1"] [attr="class","sinback"] [attr="class","sinnert"] Daiki raised a brow at the quick and pointed response. Though that was the extent of his direct confrontation of that in an obvious light. If Isamu was quick to catch on subtlety Daiki also had a look to him. He wasn't joking around or goofing off. He was just looking towards Isamu, not expecting to hear anything but he gave a moment of silence. As if a queue that if there was something Isamu really wanted to get off his chest, now was the best chance. Regardless, he couldn't bring a window of opportunity into an awkward dialogue so he'd begin speaking after five or so seconds unless Isamu... Took the window to just lay out whatever it may be. " Akuma, Vanish and Oni. Plus an entire gang. I can't say it's something a first year ends up doing under ordinary circumstances, the amount of trust placed in me is high, being chosen for this. Maybe it had something to do with me being strong enough to take out the number four guy or whatever. I genuinely appreciate it, with that context it's a bit easier to piece together what I'll be dealing with. He's a strategist, not a warrior in itself. He likely plays to peoples desires and has a good eye. People have a tendency to overlook my wisdom, so I'm going to count that he does the same thing. My quirk is flashy, so it pulls attention away from the person that uses it. If I thought from his perspective, a first year UA student with a powerful quirk just running around and beating up his henchmen... That'd be something I would want to exploit, use their confidence and 'stupidity' as an advantage. When the moment's right if that moment comes, it might come to him as a shock that I actually have a brain." He'd say while rubbing the back of his head sheepishly along with a small laugh. " What I'm more wondering is why he'd settle in Musutafu of all places, the home of Heroes. I don't see why any villain- especially one with his level of calculation would even give this city the light of day unless they had an ulterior motive. I'm thinking they're here because of UA. A lot of powerful kids? Some of us have traumas that could be twisted and used to change our views. I don't need any greater reason, but just for the cherry on top that reinforces how important it is that I put this guy behind bars." You having a brain would come as a shock to all of us, thought Isamu to himself, but he left the thought unspoken. Instead, when Daiki started speculating on Akuma’s motivations, he looked down at the ground for a few moments, mulling over his options.
He could say a little bit more on that, but what he had to say couldn’t be explained away by research. It’d be admitting, on some level, personal knowledge of the guy, and thus, exposing part of his own history. The extra tidbit wasn’t likely to help Daiki, so he could just leave that lie…
… Then again, who knew what Akuma might say in the heat of battle, just to screw with Daiki, or to screw with him in some way. He’d already been called out to a recently-used base for a clandestine meeting, and while the villain said he respected Isamu… he’d also chosen the nickname ‘Kitten’ for him, so he didn’t judge that respect to be particularly high, at least from his own point of view.
“Look, if I did have any ties to Akuma—and I’m not saying I did—but if I did, I severed them a long time ago, understand?” he started, glancing at Daiki from the corner of his eye before looking away again. He pinched the bridge of his muzzle and sighed. “Look, just… I was never really in Akuma’s gang or anything in Osaka. I didn’t put on a mask or anything but they did let me hang out with them. They didn’t even do anything all that bad at first, just causing a little trouble here and there. But they started crossing some lines I couldn’t cross, so I broke things off.” And incidentally brought down his first gang in the process. “And they only reason I’m mentioning any of this is because I have some more information that I can’t explain how I got without leaving you with a ton of questions, so… here goes. Akuma called me out just after the school year started, and I went to speak to him. I thought he might have needed help of some kind, maybe wanted to change his ways, but instead I found that he’d started up again. He told me a few things that I have no way of verifying, but might help shed a little bit of light on his motivations, so… here goes.
“If I’m to believe what he said, he actually attends a high school here in Musutafu as a third year. Whether he came here for that and decided to restart his activities, or decided to restart his activities and then came here, I don’t know. Supposedly he helps run several fundraisers and the like, and helps out with his family’s philanthropy efforts in his civilian identity. In his villain identity… he gave me some crap about wanting to stop ‘fake’ heroes, and called what he’d been doing as fundraising and training.” Isamu snorted derisively at that.
“Unfortunately I don’t know what school they go to, or anything like that. I can only say it’s not U.A., because otherwise I’d have picked up his scent a long time ago. And I don’t know who his civilian identity is. I’ve only seem him with the mask on. He thinks his civilian identity is beyond reproach, though, so the only way to stop him will be to apprehend him or unmask him and expose his real identity. Or the identities of Oni or Vanish, I suppose. Either way, he needs to go down.”
Isamu rubbed at the back of his neck. “In case you’re wondering, yes, the authorities know about this. About all of it. Legally I’m in the clear, more or less, save for my probation. But I’d rather this didn’t get around to anyone else. The only reason I told you was because it’s more important to me that you stay safe and take Akuma down than to save a little bit of face. If something happened to one of my classmates because I withheld information… well, that wouldn’t be very heroic of me, now would it?”

[attr="class","sinner"] [attr="class","sinner1"] [attr="class","sinback"] [attr="class","sinnert"] Listening to what his classmate had to say, it was eye-opening to say the least. Regardless of Isamu's approach to try and partly thread the needle with talking about the reality of his previous circumstances, Daiki connected the dots before he even got to the meat of things. Simply folding his arms, he remained quiet and let him continue with everything he had to share. When he had started with the sideways look and the words that partly warned him of what to come there was almost a partially satisfied look on his face. It meant a lot to him, regardless of the reason that someone would open up to him apparently. Just shifting his gaze to a random rock on the sidewalk. Then he went on to explain his affiliation with the gang. At that point to Daiki there was no doubt in his mind that despite Isamu's attempts to word it in a way that made himself look better given the circumstances, he was in fact part of Akuma's gang. The reaction over his expression? Nothing really. He just respectfully listened, shoulders hanging relaxed at his sides while his hands clasped together to rest in his lap when he leaned forward in his seat. Then he went on to give a reason for why he's sharing this. Though simply to justify future questions seemed like a minor reason if it was something so tightly sealed. He mentioned Akuma outsourcing for help, and he assumed the better of the two possibilities on whether Isamu helped or not. He had faith in his classmates, after all. Then came a lot of meat in the message on the Villain themselves. It added up to a pretty recognizable picture for the blond haired student. Even if twisted, it's some internally rationalized attempt of correcting Heroes. Even he had his own opinions on the very same topic that he'd share in just a moment. Then came some information on the Civilian identity; even if that information was that there was little to no information. Daiki simply nodded to acknowledge what was said, but otherwise really wouldn't comment further on that. With the conclusion of what his classmate had to say, Daiki just gave another nod and shifted his position. Bringing a hand up to press against his right thigh while his left cupped the opposite side of his cheek. A portrayal of being deep in thought. After musing and considering his response he'd open his mouth. Maybe the words would come as a surprise to Isamu, but more likely than not it was what had become expected of Daiki at this point. " Since we met at the start of the school year, we never really did talk much. I understand why if nothing else, we're opposites in our approach to the world. This part I know as fact; I approach the world a day at a time, putting my best foot forward in hopes of making the next better. I react emotionally to the environment around me and I'm always looking to try and make others happy. Then, and I could be wrong there's you. You're a logician at heart, I take it you plan out activities weeks in advance and find yourself considering ways to tackle problems long before they'd come to pass. You often don't allow your emotions to interfere with that logic and strategy, because you think that would undermine the strength of those plans. In that sense you're not wrong, if your plans are made logically, suddenly becoming emotional would throw them into chaos. But that being said you're going to have to bear with my emotional crap here." " Regardless of the weight you bear from what you've done in the past, I couldn't care. Of course I care about the things you've been through, but I don't consider you as anything other than the man you are today. While you might weigh the good and evil a person's done as two weights on a balance scale, needing to be net-good or at least neutral, I think it's important to cut off that past weight to be able to live a better and more fulfilling life as the person you are now. So, I would never judge you for anything you've done. Regardless of if it was just the only possible route you figured possible, I still appreciate you overcoming the who knows how many reasons you'd thought of to not talk to me. I'm sure there was a few at least. Your secret's safe with me. Whether you decide to trust me when I say you can trust me, is your choice. You can however trust me, for this and for anything else you want to talk about." Shifting his position again, he leaned back and rested his elbows on the top of the backrest of the seat he was sitting on. He'd continue. " Though to the topic at hand, I don't know if it's a blessing or a curse yet to empathize with where a Villain's coming from, but I can see what he's doing come from a very twisted and misguided, but good place if what you're saying is true. Who knows what happened in his past, but even I agree that there are a lot of Heroes in society that do what they do because they want to be stronger than others and show it off, they want the money, they want the fame. It's more common than you'd want to believe, none of the motivations I gave were to save others and stop villains. And while you might think the ends justify the means, at the end of the day they're still stopping villains. A lack of passion for what they're doing just for what they're receiving can lead to recklessness, collateral damage, and what I'm suspecting to be the case... An accidental death in this 'Akuma's' family. It would explain some things you said. Specifically the inclination to philanthropy. Maybe he could've been a Hero if he approached it through the system, since I agree that for an ideal world it needs to be fixed. Just, breaking the law to do so isn't right. You need to make it from the top and only then do you have the capability to make changes. Even then, it takes a long time. That being said as he is now, yes. I'll be cautious of him and I'll take him down. I'm not going to put me and my teammates at greater risk just to try and talk him down. With what he's done thus far he's clearly set in his way. No simple conversation on an even playing field will change his mind. I'll ask you something important;
Do you care if he knows you told me this? I imagine you would, but just in case you don't I wanted to ask." “You can wipe that smug look off your face,” he said when he saw Daiki’s reaction to his revelation, with just a touch of sullenness. Somehow Daiki had pegged something about him and even if it was just a lucky guess it still bugged him to no end. He really had only needed a place to hang out at the time, and in the funk of believing he couldn’t reach his goal of being a hero… well, any port in a storm, as they say.
That ship had sailed a long time ago, however, and now he had charted a new course for himself. Despite that, his past kept lingering around, and Akuma was the biggest piece of unfinished business he had. Even if he couldn’t take him down himself, as long as someone did… Still, it was hard for him to admit to himself the reasons he had fallen in with that bunch. There was no way he’d be admitting those reasons to anyone else except in the most vague of terms.
He grunted softly as Daiki started to espouse on some of the differences between the two. “I’m not an emotional person because I can’t afford to be.” He didn’t elaborate further on that thought, however. The deep, inner workings of his quirk, specifically how he had the animal instincts rattling around in his head, weren’t something he ever shared, even with most of his family. It was a tight balancing act, keeping his emotions in check while letting them out enough to make his senses and abilities work efficiently.
When Daiki mentioned cutting off past weights he crossed his arms and snorted again, turning his gaze to look deeper into the training grounds. “That’s easy for someone like you to say. With a quirk like yours your future was never in doubt. The rest of us aren’t so lucky.”
He shrugged a little as Daiki speculated on Akuma’s motivations, positing some sort of family injury due to a hero’s negligence or something similar. “Whatever his real motivation, he can’t be allowed to continue. He’s hurting people, and if his motivation really is to stop false heroes, he shouldn’t also be inflicting those same injuries and grievances upon others.” He lifted one hand just off his arm to clench it into a half fist, the claws unsheathing and resheathing slowly. “They kidnapped a kid in Osaka. That’s the type of thing that stays with a person.” He scowled softly. “Oni called it a ‘lapse in judgement’ when I challenged them on it. A lapse in judgement.” He let out a tense sigh and let his hand rest again. “My lapse in judgement was not doing something about them sooner.”
His tail, which had been twitching rather quickly, started to calm down. “I agree with you there. I tried to talk him out of his course of action when I met with him and he almost seemed offended by the attempt. I doubt he’d take it any better from a stranger.” At the last question he shook his head. “I’d rather you didn’t mention this to him. The reason he called me out was to offer a truce. He stated that he would leave me alone in my civilian identity as long as I left him alone in his, should I discover it. I agreed, but only because I didn’t give up anything. I’m not a licensed hero, so legally I’m not allowed to take action anyway. And if it means he avoids actively seeking me out for retaliation, well… all the better for me. It’s not like there’s an ironclad treaty defining the terms of this truce, but the less I appear to be disturbing it, the better, for now.”
“I don’t think there’s anything else I can really tell you that would be useful for your mission. Oh, except for that the last time his gang was taken down, Akuma and Oni cut and ran, so just be mindful of that. If you have any other questions… I’ll try to answer them to the best of my ability.”

[attr="class","sinner"] [attr="class","sinner1"] [attr="class","sinback"] [attr="class","sinnert"] A smug look? Suddenly Daiki's expression changed into that of an 'oopsie' akin to a deer in headlights for having accidentally portrayed the wrong sort of reaction. Though more than likely it was simply Isamu being Isamu. Nonetheless he proceeded to let Isamu explain some things further. Raising his brow as Isamu mentioned he quite literally couldn't afford to be emotional, he naturally attributed it to some sense of not biological need, but mental need to not show emotion. As just like everyone else, how could he possibly make a connection like that without some sort of implication beforehand. Though as such and as he saw it in such a way, learning from Jun it was best not to pry into the minds of others when they aren't willing to share in the first place. He chose to not comment at all but instead just give an acknowledging nod. Then came the part where Isamu mentioned it being easy for him. No matter how he put it to try and justify his classmate wasn't wrong. He had it all, a healthy family, a popular school life and a solid quirk. To say that comes with some sort of baggage would just be belittling the unspoken privilege of getting this far in life without a severe sort of trauma from somewhere. Though he would say one thing, " You're right on me. I never really did doubt my future. Luckily I have the philosophies I have, because even if I didn't my quirk obligates me to become a Hero based on everything that it means. Sort of the 'use the power you were given, as it was meant for good' type thing. I never really worried about my future, just the future of the world as a whole. That's a privilege I'll never take for granted. That's part of why I want to and try to be there to help when others need it. To be an ear at the very least for those that want someone to talk too. It's the least I can do right now, since I can't do active Hero work yet. Just this one mission for now; maybe more later before I graduate." He then addressed the rest of what Isamu had said, that response flowing into another. He shifted in place again, elbows resting on his knees as he leaned forward. " Motivations never justify actions, I agree with that. Even the on paper best goal cannot write away causing harm to get there. I'm just trying to empathize in a way I figured might sit with Akuma, because while we're not Villains and our mindsets are different, it's possible to sort of see things how they do if you put yourself in their shoes. While difficult, I try. You can rest assured that it's ending then and there. I'm not going to let him get away. I don't know the specifics of your past with him, but maybe some day you might want to talk to me about it. I'll make sure to let you know as soon as it wraps up, the news will take a little while to be broadcast. I'll make sure all of them face justice for their crimes, if I can talk sense into them to lead a better life when they're released, I'll try. Though I won't let him lead me on as an attempt to lower my guard." He'd say, as if addressing a concern he assumed Isamu might have before he even conveyed it. " You don't have to worry about it from here on. I'll make sure that all of us get in and out safely. Just do your best where you can, and that's with classes right now. Sports Festival is coming up, after all. Oh- and, I'm not letting them split this time. They made a bad call setting up so close to our home. I uh... I don't think I have any other questions. If you have plans, feel free to head off. I'm going to think for a bit here." Isamu would never begrudge someone their quirk, of course, but when compared to quirks like the rest of his family… well… It wasn’t hard for him to feel a little shortchanged sometimes. He did listen to Daiki’s explanation of his motivations, and, well… In some, very few, very limited, and very general aspects, they did share a few things in common.
Even if he hadn’t been blessed with a stunningly power, he still felt the desire to serve his fellow man, and by extension, the world.
Daiki was an annoyingly go-gooder person like that. And Isamu would never admit that they shared that trait in common.
Instead, he just grunted a little and said, “Mm. I think they used to call that ‘noblesse oblige.’”
Isamu shook his head a little. “I’m not so naïve to think that everyone is as much of a goody two-shoes as you are, or that there aren’t heroes who act recklessly and cause more destruction than they should. But to endanger others, to make victims of innocents while claiming to hold lofty ideals… I especially despise that kind of hypocrisy.”
He shook his head. “Like I said… don’t tell me anything you’re not supposed to. I’ll see it on the news one way or another… Technically I probably shouldn’t be having this discussion with you, but I couldn’t let you walk in there without making sure you were as prepared as possible. Look, if you want to try and convince them to walk on the side of angels, great. Just do it after you arrest them, hmm?”
He had planned to do some training out here, to save himself an extra trip, but… he had other work he could do, and he wasn’t inclined to get in the way of the other students’ preparations. Instead he nodded and effortlessly leapt up to the wall and then the fire escape, retrieving his gear and repacking his backpack. He leapt down through the railings, to the wall and then ground in big leaps, heading off to the rest of the campus. Before leaving Daiki’s sight he stopped, standing up to look back over his shoulder at the other student. “Good luck out there.” And with that he dropped back to all fours and scampered off out of sight.
