Mikaku Dokumi was annoyingly confident, but not in a way that Kazume disliked.... exactly, which was why it was so annoying to him. In a way, the other young man wasn't lying, his confidence was charming. A long with the rest of him, but Kaz was nothing if not a difficult bastard to please. Though they had the grating way of digging past his comfort zones into topics he did not want to go into on a rooftop having only just officially met the bastard a few minutes ago.
This was probably a stupid idea. He should have told the other to piss off, gone back to napping until he was found out by someone with the authority to actually do something about it. Instead, he had done quite the opposite and he had no fucking clue why he was entertaining this idiot. It was probably because he was bored, it wasn't like he was charmed by pretty boy Dokumi. He wasn't some witless first year and if the guy was expecting his night to be anything different than how it had been before, well he was in for yet more bad luck and a shit ton of disappointment. He shrugged at the other's question, "You're the expert. Lead the way and I'll be the judge of whether you're 'amazingly charming' or not." He smirked, hands tucking into his pockets, figuring that his glove was ruined (his own fault of course).
"What exactly are you hoping to get out of this?" He asked as they walked down the stairs from the school, not entirely certain where they were heading. Or why eventually there was a car heading up towards them.
For a moment, he was silent in wonder, frowning, "Of course you have a driver...." Why was he even surprised? It wasn't like it was a surprise considering the Dokumi family was rolling in money. Discomfort settled unwelcome on his shoulders before he sighed and followed after the other.

Kazume was clearly expecting him to be dodgy, there to be some weird catch, somewhere, anytime now. Mikaku could see it written clearly on his face, the slight stiffness of his shoulders, those blue eyes glancing towards his direction more than once as they walked, was this guy always this tense? The support student acted like he didn’t notice, but in truth he noticed it all- he had to, it was the basics of human interaction, reading all those slight, small signals were they key to having the upper hand in the situation. He sort of reminded Mikaku of a wild animal who was unsure whether to take what was being offered and run, rear and bite or take and stay. In actual fact, all he wanted to do was pet the creature and know how it’s fur felt like. Just a temporary thing, a brief few hours of human contact where everything was under an artificial but more intimate light so he could have a breif glance at what it would be like to be a normal, functional person who didn’t fuck things up and had the courage to follow things through, protect what was important to them. It was enough, more fun, to be this way rather than commit, or so he told himself, and that was what he was going to go with today also. “I’m hurt, Kazucchi~! You sound like you doubt my ability!” Mikaku said, his tone as upbeat as it always was. When the other male asked him of his intentions, the third year turned back to look at the redhead with a rather innocent, wide eyed look. “Your company for a bit, of course~!” He replied without missing a beat. “And if we could get to know each other a little, and have some fun, that would be even better.”A slight glint in the violet eyes and a momentary coy smile played on his features before he turned back round, in honest fact he wasn’t really expecting much of anything, people who did things expecting something usually were largely disappointed. Well, of course, when someone leads you on then pulls away at the very end, it's a little annoying and felt a little like it was cheating but… that was one of the risks one had to take to play this game.
“Yeah, I’m technically not allowed to go anywhere without one, for security reasons and what not. Cos I don’t have an offensive or defensive quirk and some random villain might wanna steal me you know? But it does kinna… make sneaking out at night that much more of a challenge.” Mikaku grinned before the doors of the car automatically opened. Matssun (his driver) didn’t ever come out to open the door but that was because he told him not to, it was just...weird to have someone who may as well be your dad doing that kind of thing when he didn’t need to. “It’s just lucky I haven’t had some tracking implant put in me or something...that...would just be weird but 100% could happen ahahaha...Hey Matssun~ I sent the destinations to your phone yeah~” He said brightly to his driver who nodded and drove off. He wanted to get changed as they were going out, but it would be...weird to take a detour to his apartment because...he didn’t take anyone there… so an alternative would have to do. “Before we go out Ima gonna go get changed out of my uniform and stuff yeah? I assume you want to aswell?”

There was something about Mika's pleasantries that mirrored his own sourness. Like a well disguised mask to hide their true feelings and intentions. Though he couldn't begin to know what the other's angle was, what he was hoping to get out of this... Though he figured the other was just horny and hoping to get laid. Depending on how things went and how Kaz felt, hell he might actually let him. It would depend on many factors. He wasn't gonna lie and claim that Mika wasn't as pretty as the bastard thought himself to be. Mika was fucking pretty, but it was the fact he was aware of it that Kaz couldn't stand. He disliked the idea of being another tally in his many conquests. He was a prideful difficult bastard like that. Not to mention he frequently went out of his way to refute any and all contact with other people as much as he possibly could. Mika was probably the type that was used to buying people, wooing them with their money, and Kaz knew he was falling into the same hole by allowing himself to be taken out, but he could use people too. Mika would find he couldn't buy him.
"What can I say— I'm a skeptic at heart." He said with a shrug, almost a teasing tone.
“And if we could get to know each other a little, and have some fun, that would be even better.”
He almost wasn't sure he heard him say that, eyebrow raised in genuine curiosity and for the first time his lips curved in an almost smile (crooked and devious all his own) at the sliver of genuine display. So perhaps there was someone else under there. It certainly made it more interesting at the very least.
"I wouldn't be so worried, if someone stole you they'd probably get tired and try to give you back." Kazume said with a snort and with a sigh, slipped into the car behind the other. "Has to be fucking tiring though, maybe that's why you went up to the rooftop screaming like a loon. You have to be feeling fucking trapped. Yet you let them do it." Maybe he was making some pretty broad assumptions about a guy he hardly knew, but it was sad if his assumptions were the truth. He knew what it felt like to feel trapped, but not in the same way of course. He'd never had money or power, his parents hadn't given a shit for him. He'd been ignored. They hadn't touched him, talked to him, listened to him. And he learned to behave the same way. There was power in refusing to touch or consider other people. Denying them the right. He never felt very powerful though. It only ever felt lonely.
The next question threw him off, looking down he realized he was wearing just an old hoodie over his school uniform. "I didn't bring anything else."

The exchange was fun, first and foremost and Mikaku liked fun things. Hedonism was always very high on his agenda and he liked to try to ensure the other person involved was having fun too, it was just his style. Give and take was important! He had caught sight of the other’s amused looking smirk- well, at least the signs were good, they seemed to be on the same wavelength. The last thing he wanted was some wires crossed somewhere. He didn’t mind sometimes failing to impress (though that wasn’t the norm) but when person A and person B were going into a date seeking completely different things it could only end in the worst thing possible- nothingness. “Ahahahaha well I mean I suppose that might happen, maybe I can argue that case next time my parents lecture me about sneaking out…” Ah, this guy was kind of dangerous. Though Mikaku wasn’t 100% sure how he was doing it, Kazume was speaking a little too much truth here. Was he that good at reading people? Or was it from experience? Either way he was getting pretty close to the truth of the young heir’s life. “Well~ I’m a purpose made, custom made perfection to play my role, you know? I told you right, it would pretty much be a sin for me not to be here and do what I’m meant to. If I give them what they want, then I can enjoy the other bit of my life I have left, you know~? But for you to isolate yourself up there like that, isn’t that hard on you too?” A look in the amethyst eyes said two could play that knowing too much game, but the unspoken message only stayed for a split moment before moving on to the next subject. He had half expected it, and it really wasn’t an issue. “Matssun, can you stop off at Palo Alto first?” Mikaku called out to his driver and the man nodded. The car stopped in front of a small, posh looking building like a designer boutique. “Guess you can have something of mine to wear.” He said as he got out of the car and made his way in. He pulled out a card from his wallet, tapping it at a reader on the front desk and the woman at the reception bowed. “I have one guest, yeah?” “Welcome, Dokumi-sama, of course that is no problem.” There were a few rows of doors down a long corridor once they got through a door next to the reception, and Mikaku stopped at one of the ones at the back of the building. He tapped his keycard in again, and inside was a rather spacious walk in closet and changing space complete with shower and other amenities on the other side of the room, things one may need to completely change and even waste time if they needed to.
“You can take whatever you want from here, it’s my personal change of clothes here, I think we are like the same size right?” Rows of clothes lined the wardrobe, it looked more like a boutique than anything else but it was, in fact a private changing room facility. Normal “rich” people just rented it out by the hour, but Mikaku had his own private room he stored his stuff permanently. One corner had a few sets of the U.A uniform and some of his hero costume, so it was clear the support hero to be was in fact, telling the truth. Mikaku started to undress at that, putting his school bag down and tossing his dirty clothing in a basket in the corner.

Mikaku had more clothes in a single changing room facility than Kazume had in his entire life. Granted he was by no means a model like Mika and had about as much interest in clothes and fashion as learning how to knit. Still, it managed to catch him off guard and leave him staring into the rather large room in amazement. "This is all yours?" He asked even more dumbly, who else's could it have possibly been? Maybe he shared it with another family member or something. It was bigger than his U.A. dorm room.
It only occurred to him then just how rich Mikaku Dokumi and his family were. And he assumed it wasn't even stake in the actuality if this was only the beginning. Perhaps Mika had only taken him here to show off and he had certainly done the trick, but Kaz was not about to look impressed or give him the impression his wealth was somehow attractive or... whatever.
His eyes shifted to Mikaku as the other began to undress. And then he went about scouring through the articles of clothing. He'd never been so out of his element before.
"I just... pick something? Truthfully he didn't even know what clothes to pick and that was embarrassing in itself. It felt cheap, even the idea of just walking up and plucking something off the shelf felt like stealing. He didn't make a habit of stealing things, though he certainly had lifted a few things in his younger days (when his parents would forget to buy food and other such simple requirements). For a moment, he contemplated denying the offer, but he couldn't exactly go with a dirty old hoodie and his uniform, right? He could just leave, but it felt like it was too late to back down and felt a little too much like running away like a coward.
Discomfort was a palpable thing for him, as most emotions were for him, they had a way of sparking up like a physical presence. Usually in the temperature of the room or the humidity. He pulled at his gloves, a nervous tic of his, only to remember that one was likely littering the school grounds after it was cut and he instantly regretted throwing it away. Every outfit looked well above his pay-grade (unsurprisingly) and a little too flamboyant for his tastes, which was usually drab or dark in a 'don't look at me' way (harder said than done with his hair color though). Finally, swallowing up his discomfort and his pride, he grabbed the first dark shaded ensemble and peeled off his hoodie, which certainly didn't belong in this place. Skin hot with self-consciousness at the burns and mottled cauteries, quickly slipping the fabric over his shoulders and buttoning the front. The stink of cigarette smoke and embers was replaced with lavender-scented fabric softener.

“Oh, yeah, it is.”
Mikaku nodded, he had assumed the other teen meant did he own the room, and well, yes he did and he supposed that wasn’t as common as people frequenting the place. Thinking about it now, maybe it was the first time he had brought anyone here, mainly as there usually was no need to, they usually met up after arranging to meet just this time was a little different, to say the least. A spur of the moment thing, unplanned to say the least but this kind of thing was fun too, a change!
“Yeah, anything is okay though I guess you don’t wanna wear my uniform or hero costume unless you wanna cosplay me~”
He laughed a little, he was pretty sure all that blue would clash wonderfully with Kazume’s hair. To be honest most of the clothes he owned he didn’t buy- it was prepared for him to wear in public by his public image manager, or stuff given by sponsors though he did have some things which were actually bought by him. His hero costume was a prime example of “Stuff designed and selected by someone else that he just wore as it was his job” though he supposed functionality wise it wasn’t too bad, even if a little OTT.
He could swear there was heat radiating off the other, literally. It probably was some kind of offset of his quirk, especially with what the hero student had said, was that why he was so testy and seemingly uncomfortable with physical contact? How hot would he be able to get unintentionally? Damn, he really should have read up on all the 3-A students properly, the support side of him was super curious now.
Thinking about it as he dressed, he had never tried this, but in theory, as long as he was still alive, aka around 92%~ish burns he should be able to recover just fine. Might hurt a little, but well...what was worse, the balck potion of death or getting 90% body burns? He wasn’t ALL that apprehensive about finding out, so the heat that was coming from Kazume wasn’t exactly a deterrent, just a point of curiosity.
He pulled on a casual black and grey accented shirt and black jeans, he supposed he could go monochrome for today. Walking over to the large mirrored wall and dressing table, he brushed out his hair, pushing the part that always seemed to fall into his face with a few grips. He then made his way to the shoe cupboard, pulling it out to reveal an array of shoes. He picked out a pair that kinna went and pulled them on.
Mikaku then turned round now that he was done, his gaze now towards his date for the night. He looked extremely awkward but well, he looked good in his clothes at least!
“Heyyy~ You totally could be a model, you have the face and height for it, why aren’t you one? Pays pretty well, good for your hero popularity ranks, everything~”
Okay, maybe he was starting to sound a bit like those dodgy scouts in Shibuya… He walked towards the other, picking up a trilby hat from his hat stands and gently placing it on Kazume’s head.
“You look good.”

At one time, Kazume would have hated Mikaku. Simply for his wealth, for his oblivious happiness, for his absolute disregard for how the world actually works if you're not born at the top. In truth, Kaz still wasn't sure what to think about types like Mika, but he certainly didn't hate him. There was some envy there, and to deny that would be a blatant lie. Envy was the sin that Kaz lived with on a daily basis, but it had become more of a driving force than a drowning stone. It was just his bad luck that he would have to work harder to prove himself than others and he was okay with that. He was nothing if not a stubborn and tenacious bastard.
Truthfully, he hated the fact he actually kinda liked Mika.
It was a strange sort of like. His optimism was well-practiced, perhaps not entirely true all the time, but it felt genuine and it was unexpectedly contagious. The other third year was puzzling, unexpected in his charm, and it kept Kaz on his toes. He knew exactly what the other wanted, in the end, though they both seemed content playing this roundabout game between one another. It also had the unyielding ability to draw him out of his comfort zone and force him to change up his own game. It was like a good game of poker or chess, or perhaps even a free-form dance. Then again, he was fairly certain by the end of the night, even if it did go the other's intended way, Kaz was fairly certain that Mika would likely regret it. The redhead could play the game just as well, he had learned to lie and be someone that he wasn't. He could even be Mika if he wanted, though he tended to burn out faster on the more engaged and enthusiastic roles, but the fact remained he was who he was. Despite being able to play them, they always found out in the end that the price of having him was usually too high. And Kazume was not about to ever admit that he needed anyone, ever. Loneliness was a companion he knew well and accepted regardless.
There was nothing comfortable about wearing another person's clothes, especially when the price tag was usually more than the cost of all of his clothes, and the other man was just letting him wear them like it was no big deal. It made him feel cheap.
"A model?" Kaz asked dumbly, a little caught off guard, "I'm not.. sure I have the personality for one. Plus, no offense, but being a model is dumb. You get paid to wear clothes and have perverts ogle you... not really my thing." Why did he feel fucking flattered? God, this was so stupid.
He watched as the pale-haired man plucked a hat from a stand and sat it on his head. What a dumb hat. He didn't remove it though.
"Thank you..." No he was not getting wooed by this jackass. He was only there for a meal and that was it. "We should probably go, right?"

Kazume was an interesting person, to say the very least. Mikaku had met, spoken to, even gotten more intimately acquainted with many a persons but usually they fell into one of two categories. The first kind of person was the ones that were attracted to the materialistic charms of the pale haired teen. Ones who wanted a piece of his money, family background, lifestyle. Wanting to be taken to the most expensive establishments, heavily hinting their interest in seeing the decor of the executive floor of Oriental Mandarin hotel, wanting things like clothing, jewelry bought for them. That kind of person. To be honest he didn’t hate these kinds of people, at least he knew the agenda from the moment they opened their mouth. There were some things he wouldn’t provide, (jewelry for example, he had never bought anyone and probably never will.) but well, that aside if they were decent company he didn’t see harm in treating them at least once. Though usually they weren’t as good as he was an entertaining others and so tended to be a little dull. The other kind of person was the one that were attracted to his looks, relative fame and easy going words that were pleasant on the ears. These were more endearing in Mikaku’s opinion to be around, but a little more problematic in the long run. A large number of this type didn’t want it to be a one off thing, but desired a relationship, they wanted to have a boyfriend who’s face was on TV, internet commercials and the large LED screens in Tokyo. Which was all fine and dandy for some, just… he wasn’t looking to commit to anyone, not now, probably never. Having already had his life planned out for him, it was pointless to do things like fall in love as he would never be able to be with them in the long term. It was just a train crash waiting to happen, something he wanted to avoid at all costs. Usually this type would voluntarily step away after they realised his intentions and needs in their arrangement, thankfully. There was, technically meant to be a third type, a decent mixture of both, who just wanted some temporary companionship and access to the kinds of affections usually not an option for people like him. Someone who could provide all the good things that came from a relationship...without the actual commitment part. But well he had yet to find a good example of this kind of unicorn, maybe it didn’t even exist. Anyway, back to the redhead. He was interesting because he wasn’t sure which type he was, type 1 or 2. The fact he didn’t slot into one of these types straight away was new, and actually roused Mikaku’s interest in the other even more. What did this guy want?
Mikaku really wanted to know. And that curiosity was bringing forth other desires and he was determined to get what he wanted. Usually, the support hero to be was a pretty laid back kind of guy, he wasn’t exactly in any shortage of companionship (type 1 or 2) so he also wasn’t all that driven to secure someone’s interest beyond some light playful flirting. If more happened, cool, if not, no problem, move on. But today was a little different, this guy had made him feel like he had to actually play the game properly. Well, he had a meal to try and impress this guy right? No problem, if Dokumi Mikaku was serious, he could totes do this. “You don’t need the personality if you have the looks and body type~” He laughed, shaking his head. It was true, some models were absolute jackasses but still did OK because of their ideal height and looks. “Hahahahaha!! I dunno what kinna modeling you have in mind there Kazucchi...that sounds pretty ero, don’t you think? I kinna meant like the normal adverts and stuff…” Mikaku gave a small nod at the thanks and walked towards the door to leave. “Yeah, let’s go! I’ll have your uniform returned to you by tomorrow morning~” Once they were back in the car, it drove off towards their next destination. He noticed Kazume always put this rather strange distance between them- it wasn’[t so far that he would think the other hated him, but it wasn’t as close as the heir was used to either, it was like he was trying to pull up some kind of invisible force field around him, but at the same time he wanted to be around someone else. Was it a Hedgehog’s dilemma type situation? Without a word, Mikaku casually shifted a little closer to the other, leaning back on the plush leather seat. It was so fluidly done it could have simply been accidental from restlessness, the other still gave him slight frightened wild animal vibes and he didn’t want to scare him away by being too forward as he would have been normally. “Nnnn~ school’s getting pretty hard these days huh? Preparing us to be the grunts of hero society... heh… How will we ever survive all this?” It wasn’t a lie, between his internship, school subjects, projects and modelling work he was surprised he wasn’t a zombie yet.The car stopped not long after, the door automatically opening.
“Thanks Matssun~ I’ll message you when we are almost done~!” He slid out of the car and waited for his date to follow. They had arrived at a yakiniku restaurant, well, the sort he was used to. The person at the front greeted them, taking them to a private room overlooking a Japonesque garden. “Do you have any allergies or anything?” He asked as he sat down, picking up the elaborate, handwritten menu (with no prices on).

It wasn't like he was there for Mika's money or anything.
Fuck, he didn't even know why he was there to begin with. At least if he was gold digging there would be a purpose, but this was just... well there wasn't really a word to call it. He was subjecting himself to another's company for what reason, exactly? It definitely wasn't the food either. Even the best food in the world wasn't enough to prolong his patience (which was a short enough fuse as it was).
Mika was a good-looking guy, only a blind man couldn't see that. Though he refused to think that this was a date or that meant the other was getting anything out of this.. whatever this was.
"Well I mean there's a reason people watch you when you're modeling... you're not exactly bad to look at or.. anything. Not an ero thing. Just not a me thing. I don't do well with attention like that." Oh god shut up you're rambling and being kinda creepy, and generally lame. Awkwardly he fell into silence, wondering if the guy would finally wise up and tell him to get lost. It wouldn't exactly be surprising considering he wasn't exactly the kind of person someone might want to waste their night with.
The car drove on and he fell silent then, thankfully, he fucking stopped talking. Though the silence in the car and the mess of noise in his head proved incompatible and maddening. He could feel the other move closer but he didn't object or move away. There was something strangely calming about the gesture, and the noise settled down along with the heat that his body was likely putting off. It was conflicting, always, feeling lonely and yet rejecting the very notion of company. Mika was a strange guy, really. He felt calm and cool and collected, un-phased by anything. Stupidly charming. Kaz could tell why everyone was crazy about him, why he was likely the face people thought of when they thought of U.A.. He wasn't pretty, he was beautiful. He wasn't charming, he was alluring. It was fucking frustrating.
"I don't know.. I guess it is. The work is the easiest part about it, honestly." For him at least, he could do any amount of hard work and excel to the best of his ability. He was stubborn and tenacious like that, and it was not out of the ordinary for him to take multiple part-time jobs to pay for everyday things and simply to give him something to do. It was... everything else that got complicated.
The car pulled to a stop and he managed a slight wordless bow to the driver before exiting after the other. The restaurant wasn't one he'd been to before, unsurprisingly, it looked well beyond his budget. No amount of time working at his part-times could likely pay for it. He sat down, processing the surroundings as the other boy spoke, "No, no allergies."
Yeah, the menu didn't have prices. This place was definitely too expensive for him. "What is good here?"

A small, pleased smile spread across Mikaku’s lips as his date ever so adorably stumbled over his explanation.
“Really~? You think so~? Wow, that makes me happy, thanks♡”
He realised that he actually liked spending time with this guy. Of course Kazume was attractive and pleasant to look at, though he didn’t look very much Japanese at all actually, maybe he was European? Something like that. But that wasn’t all, it was a little hard to put it in words but… he kind of liked being around this guy. He was interesting to watch, speak to and he seemed genuine. What some may have seen as abrasive or prickly was kinna cute to Mikaku. Maybe he had a weird sense of what was endearing, who knows...
Maybe, no, definitely, for most people taking a liking to someone wouldn’t be such a big deal but the shameless flirt spent a lot of time with a lot[/i] of different people, and went on a lot of dates so he knew the status quo of general people around their age far more than the average highschooler and usually, he never wanted to meet up with someone more than once. There were a few reasons for this, but one was that most didn’t really grab his interest so strongly that he would want to see them that often one on one. When one had a limited amount of time they were single and able to play, why waste your time pursuing one person when you could sample far more?
But there he was, sitting opposite the redhead who was studying the menu as if it was a foregin object, wondering what kind of places he could take the other to pull more reactions out of him next time. He didn’t even actually realise the actual content of his thought process as he had it, that he was already planning to see him again in...this sort of setting.
“Oh good~ Uhhhh well I hope you like Yakiniku? Any cuts in particular you like?”
Most people liked meat right? It was Matsusaka beef served here, and from what the medical heir could remember it wasn’t too bad. Pausing for a moment, he got up and sat down next to Kazume instead, so they could both look at the other teen’s menu in his hand the right way up.
“What you you wanna drink?”
