Akasu watched the kids being...well kids on their first day of school as more of them filed in. He frowned when he saw a older boy who looked like he was in third year, he tried to think back...had he treated him before? The fact he couldn't really remember probably meant the black haired teen wasn't a huge trouble maker, in anycase, as he always, unfortunately, remembered those. He watched as a mainly blonde haired girl sat down before the door slammed open and... oh, it was only Dr. Shisutemu. He was as...unique as he always was. Nothing changed during the spring holidays, it seemed. It actually was pretty rare to see the man wandering around, but he guessed even the older scientist got as curious as he did about first years. "Good morning, everyone. My name is Akasu Naibun, I would like to welcome you all on your first day..and the stray third year... back to U.A. My hero name is The Secretkeeper..." He inwardly cringed at his own hero name, he only kept it as his father was the one who gave it to him. He was pretty sure no one would recognise him without his flashy as hell hero outfit on, which had been designed so flashy for that very reason that he looked so average and normal without it that it was necessary, a marketing tactic of sorts. "...I am the school nurse here at U.A. I also run the Kendo club, and run first aid and field medic lessons for those who seek them. I am sure many of you may end up getting hurt in your three years here on your path to becoming exceptional individuals, and I do understand that sometimes, a hero may need to push themselves beyond their boundaries. But I do have to tell you, for those who are unfamiliar of my quirk, what the price you will have to pay in the case that you need my help would be." Akasu gave this talk to the new, terrified, sometimes confident, sometimes bored looking classes full of first years every year at this time of year. He was pretty sure by the end of today and after quirk tests had gone through, he would have to treat some over enthusiastic first year but well... a warning was better than nothing. "For my quirk, Truth is Justice to activate and heal you, you will have to tell me something confidential in nature you rather not tell anyone. Basically, a secret. And the worse your injury, the more secrets or larger secret you will have to reveal to me to get better. Of course, I will keep everything, and anything, you tell me confidential as is my policy but bear that in mind and make sure to look after yourself if you do not wish to have to reveal your secrets to me." He glanced around the room, before remembering something else. "...and please do note, they have to be the truth, or my quirk will not activate. A fair warning to you all."

This is just a lot. Fu thought as the teacher's introduced themselves. That is, after another student and teacher came into the room. The student took a more dignified entry compared to the teacher's entry. She properly introduced herself to the class. Fu was sort of annoyed by it. It seemed a bit attention grabby but then again, Fu was not the most outgoing person in the world so maybe she was just annoyed at the fact she probably had to introduce herself. But she has to get used to it. These people are going to be her classmates. Some will be her friends, even. Fu snickered at the thought. Friends were usually not a common thing for the young Himura. Most of the time, she is the kid that gets bullied by a group of people who are friends with each other. That was an issue in her old school that she sure hope did not repeat itself.
Listening carefully to the other teachers, she wondered which one she'll have the most to do with. Her quirk was not exactly the most offense viable quirk, the entrance exam showed that. She was helpless against the foes that they had to defeat. She guessed that she had no chance of getting in but apparently it was noticed that she was telling people to watch themselves with their quirk, warning them of dangers they weren't paying attention. Guess her quirk was not useless in that sense but she'll need a lot to make it a heroic quirk. Maybe it will develop into her brother's quirk. That would be useful.
Lost in her thoughts, she hadn't noticed the silence that had fallen in the room. The teachers' seemingly have said their pieces and waited for the students responses. Looking around the room, Fu gulped before hastily getting up from her chair. Bowing towards the teachers and the students, Fu hoped that she was not as tomato red as she actually was. "I-I'm Futaba Himura! I prefer being called Himura or Fu." Without another word, Fu sat down again, trying to hide her face out of embarrassment.

Post by Ren Wolff on Dec 22, 2018 18:14:13 GMT
'All of you, outside of Ryuusei, are here because you have been assigned to the class of 1-A'
Well, there went that hope. Whatever, he'd find a way to deal with it one way or another. He'd have to get better at rolling with the punches if he wanted any hope of not looking like the most suspicious guy on campus. After having taken a moment to breathe, Ren managed to put his mask back on and was largely back to, well, as normal as he could be given the situation. In the mean time, two more students had found their way to the classroom, A girl with some pretty wild looking hair, her attitude reminded him of the more preppy students from his old school, and... that one was literally a cat. Huh. Both of these new arrivals were instantly overshadowed however, by the most ridiculous thing that Ren had seen since he stepped foot on school grounds. A man whose appearance could only be likened to some sort of mad scientist burst through the door and started shouting, only to encounter a bit of gas and completely fizzle out. The boy blinked a few times as the absurdity washed over him and then just shook his head. Things like this were going to be a normal occurrence here, weren't they?
As the teachers went around and introduced themselves, Ren did his best to memorize each, though as it turned out he already knew most of them. Now that he was actually paying attention, he could recognize the oddly dressed woman as the hero Sunstorm. From what he knew, she was a pretty accomplished hero, though seeing her here made her look like even more of an oddball than the media already portrayed her as. The man that he hadn't been able to place the name of ended up being the school nurse. Ren immediately perked up at the mention of a kendo club, that had probably been one of the only things he'd really enjoyed about his life in Japan. The nature of the man's quirk was a bit... concerning, he'd have to avoid that as much as he possibly could, but maybe that wasn't realistic in a school like this.
With the teachers done, it seemed it was the student's turn now. They were working their way around the room, and Ren once again strained his brain trying to commit his new classmates to memory. Soon enough it was his turn. The boy took a deep breath to force away the last of his hesitation and stood up. "My name's Ren Wolff, its nice to meet you all." It surprised him a little, his voice sounded a lot more confident than he felt at the moment. That was probably a good thing. With a simple bow to his teachers and new classmates, he returned to his seat and waited for the rest to make their introductions.

Standing beside Fu, Ryuusei beamed with pride at the fact that his sister had gotten into class 1-A. As the teacher had begun to talk, Ryuusei took the opportunity to excuse himself from the classroom. Given that he shouldn't really have been in there in the first place, sticking around would be like playing with fire. Which was why he tapped his younger sister and motioned that he was going to depart from the area. Given that most of the students' attention were on Aoi, he stepped back quietly before slipping out through the backdoor. There were still a few seats empty meaning that there were likely a few missing students which also coincidentally meant that they were very obviously late and thus probably going to get in trouble for their tardiness. But like with most things, it wasn't Ryuusei's problem nor was it his concern. The only thing that happened to be on the guy's mind was making sure his sister was alright. From what he had seen she seemed quieter than normal. Whether that was because she was in a new environment, Ryuusei had no idea. At home she seemed like a different person yet outside of that her personality seemed to drastically change. Was it because she was only comfortable with certain people? Thoughts like this swirled around Ryuu's head as he walked through the halls with his hands in his pockets. Debating whether it was something he should ask her, Ryuu wasn't entirely sure he should ask her about it. Siblings had a knack for keeping their true inner feelings a secret and even as Ryuu tried to shower the girl with all the love he could muster he always felt like there was an invisible wall he could never bypass. That wasn't to say that he felt like she didn't love him, because he felt like nothing could be farther from the truth. Yet given the girl's meek nature, he really couldn't help but worry about her given that she was now on the path to become a pro hero. ....
...
..
.
Well he supposed it didn't really do any good to worry about.
Because after all, regardless of what occurred, he'd make sure to protect her.

So he was right, it was Miss Sunstorm! It was nice to see she seemed to be doing well, the blonde thought to himself. Raphael didn't recognise the other teachers, but he guessed that they probably disliked attending social parties thus he had not met them when he was young, as U.A was famous for hiring famous or accomplished heroes, the type that usually would be acquaintances with his parents. He couldn't help but think of what sort of secrets he could offer Naibun-Sensei if he did need healing... he actually couldn't think of much that COULD be considered a secret... was there anything he wouldn't ever want to tell anyone else? It was probably best he took care not to get hurt, he thought to himself. He listened to his new classmates start to introduce themselves, trying to commit it to memory. He was pretty good at it, he usually remembered a person after meeting them only once and he hoped, as not to be rude to his classmates that he could do so for this class too. The first girl who introduced herself, the one with a loving brother. He was sure he had met her before, her parents were pro heroes, her mentioning of her surname jogged his memory. "I see the Himuras still have not trained their children as they should." He recalled his father saying stiffly, his voice clear with disdain when the young girl had been too shy to give the standard of greeting the man expected from his peer's children. He could distinctly remember seeing them both at a summer garden party one year when he was younger and wishing he had siblings too, it was the sort of bond he could only watch and never truly understand, it seemed nice to have someone who would unconditionally love and support you. One could say he was envious, but envy was an emotion he was not allowed to have. It would affect his quirk, and lessen his value. He knew that. He did. As he watched the boy who introduced himself as Ren Wolff speak, he was pretty certain he had met this person somewhere before. But where? Was he a son of a pro hero? Or someone from his middle school? No the latter couldn't be, he would have remembered for sure... So it had to mean the boy probably was someone he met when he was younger. Maybe he would ask him later on... Raphael realised it was probably his turn and stood up, taking a deep breath as he closed his eyes for a moment, straightening up. So many teachers watching him, he had to make sure he presented himself properly. Opening his eyes, he looked straight forwards, a crowd pleasing slight smile on his lips. "Good morning, teachers and everyone in 1-A, my name is Raphael Seraphine, I am not very used to being in a hero orientated school or quirk growth environment with my peers, and so I have a lot to learn but I hope you will all bear with me and I look forward to learning with everyone." A textbook introduction complete with a small bow before he glanced round and then sat down. He would usually state his quirk and usage too but as others hadn't, he didn't either and hoped he had done everything right as he sat back down, slowly releasing the tension from his shoulders.

Ryuga had looked to the door at the insanity of Doc, a hero she had done brief amounts of studying about. Yori Shisutemu. She hardly needed the introduction, but his merits within their world were few and far between, a sign that Ryuga hadn't studied enough. Still, she knew he was a support kind of teacher, and as the blonde saw the pose, the mad scientist almost seemed intimidating until the burp came. Ryuga made a slight smile, but turned to the other classmates. Of which, one was a cat. Like. An actual cat quirk. That was an oddity, but no less intriguing. Must be... a Mutation Quirk, like her. Only, she didn't show her dragon heritage. The rest came one after the other, in rapid-fire. Ryuga's hand on her arm, as she rubbed it. First came Sunstorm, the head of hero studies. And a way to train her Quirk... hm. Ryuga needed to learn more about her too, as the mask seemed mysterious. Off-putting, no, but definitely mysterious. The Secretkeeper, yet another individual among the teachers that Ryuga knew little of. He went on to introduce himself. The school nurse, kendo club head, and ran first aid lessons. So. The nurse taught how to fix people up, AND how to whack people in the face with a shinai? She was sold. That would be another style of combat she could learn when Dragonlung was on cool-down. Doubtful there was a boxing club, anyways. His Quirk was fascinating, yet downright terrifying, leaving Ryuga in a state of nervous curiosity. Fascinating, in that the particulars of how it worked made her curious. Like, a chemical in the brain going off? Or perhaps it was rhythms in the heartbeat when one lied? Terrifying in that, she had enough baggage that she didn't want the nurse to know about. The reality of the matter was, she could be forced into a situation again where she would overuse her Quirk. It would be strictly confidential, but people here don't need to know about her father. The bad one, anyways. The single female student seemed to be named Futaba Himura. Shy as she was, her brother seemed to only make matters worse, until he left entirely. Ryuga had to admit, being an only child didn't leave much to her understanding sibling dynamics, but once the older brother left, the blonde female smiled, watching the girl move in and hide her face, not unlike that of the mighty turtle. 'Hm. Broken out of her shell. How do you do that, Ryuga...?' she pondered, hand on her chin. The next to introduce himself was the blonde with a scarf. Ren Wolff. Somewhat confident, although Ryuga would wager that he was nervous. First day woes, after all. It made some hint of sense. The other blonde did so in turn. Raphael Seraphine. Was... was that name familiar? The last name in particular was intriguing to her, and Ryuga couldn't put her finger on why. As she was lost in thought, her eyes zipped up. Oh. It was her turn. She had already stated her name, but figured it would do best to say it again, for those weren't there quite yet, or those who were being heckled. She gave a cough, brushed hair out of her face, and spoke. "My name is Ryuga Hoden. Nice to meet you all." she smiled, showing off her happiness of being here, but trying to act a lot more reserved than she actually was. She was exuberant, but she kept it in. Ryuga would sit right beside of Futaba in the front row, beaming to the other girl. Placing her hands in her lap, as proper as Ryuga could be. Ryuga's UA Uniform

Pose ruined, Dr. Yori proceeded to do the only thing he could think of. He walked inside of the classroom, defeated and beaten by a child's chemistry set. The evildoers of chemistry victorious in making him look like a fool. Evil as they were, the Chemists of Baskerville would soon face his wrath, as he would create something that would surely put them in their place! Study of change? Get ready for the study of LASERS.
Coming back to reality, Yori hadn't even realized it, but introductions were being made, thanks to the guidance of his responsible cousin, Aoi. The black-haired mad scientist loved his cousin dearly, but it seemed as of late, she felt distant. One could chalk it up to having to be related to a crazy person, but in Yori's defense.
He knew the reason why, but fixing it meant having to face reality, and he wasn't about to succumb to defeat. Not when there was more to do.
So. When the teachers had finished their intros, and most of the students did, Yori did the only thing he could think of. He walked to the front of the class, near his darling cousin, and garnered the attention of the young minds and elder brains by ways of bringing out his cell phone. "I am to make my introduction again. The former was a false positive. Standby."
His cell phone wasn't on.
"BWAHAHAHAHAHA! AS I WAS SAYING CHILDREN! BEHOLD!" Technojack still in the power glove, he held it up to his face, His eyes flashing as his mouth was curved with a smile that seemed as malicious as it was thrilling. Just as he stood there, almost as if nothing would happen, his glove began to glow, and then!
DING.
Out of the back of his palm, Yori opened a compartment, and pulled out the smallest piece of toast ever, and chomped down on it; bite-sized toast. "Mnmm... toast." Chewing the toast, he spoke with no manners. "Doctor Yori Shisutemu, Support teacher for mechanics, engineering, the like! And this? This is my newest invention; the miniature-toaster gauntlet!" he held it up, and laughed wickedly.
A glove that worked to cook bread to toast.

Looking over her little notebook, she wondered if she could subtly take notes of the students as they introduced themselves. Deciding against it, she listened carefully to the students as they introduced each other. Each of them unique in one way or another. Futaba Himura seemed very different from her brother. Aoi assumed she was just embarrassed about her brother. On the contrary though, she seemed very shy. Her greeting at least indicated that. Her posture was also not one of someone who was very confident. Aoi will keep an eye on that for now. The next boy, Ren Wolff, did not seem so much better. His voice did not lack confidence but his posture needed some improvement. That might be set down to first year nervousness. That can be hammered out when classes start.
There was another blonde boy. Raphael Seraphine? His name seems familiar. At least his last name does. Parents famous just like the Himura's. Interesting to see if he will overdue it or will struggle. I'll make a note of him. Aoi watched the boy introduce himself, making some mental notes. This class looks like something she could work with. Lastly the girl introduced herself. She, Ryuga Hoden, was the opposite of the first girl. She was confident and energetic. Ryuga will probably be at the least concerns for the start of the classes. She waited for another student to introduce himself but her cousin tried again with his introductions.
That attempt was not too terrible. He still did his mad laugh but he calmed down when he showed off his invention. It seemed as helpful as usual but she thought it was cute in a way. Patting him on the shoulder, she said "Would be very useful if you're hungry on the job. Staying feed is important after all!" She smiled, adding quickly "You'll also be able to make gadgets that help your quirks. The possibilities are limitless, at least if the budget and the principle allows it."

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
Daiki jumped out of bed and checked his phone. Mum and Pops trusted him with one thing and he was late for school! Why was he so stupid, why did he have to stay up until 1am the night before the first day of school playing Gigaman 8 on his phone. He facepalmed three times before leaping from the sheets and landing on his feet with a flash of energy. He ran through the entire house naked, leaping down the staircase and rolling at the bottom of the steps. He rolled sideways across the floor until he dinged into the side of the counter, cussing to himself. Masato was sitting at the breakfast table and said. "You did it again didn't you dumbass." To which Daiki looked back and conceded with a sigh. "I di-" CRACK. He hit his head on the corner of the counter, and winced as tears formed in the corner of his eyes.
"I can't even save myseeeeeeelf aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!" He shouted as he recovered, ruffling both hands through his hair. He poured himself some leftover Miso soup from when the family had breakfast earlier in the morning, as well as got himself a good portion of Oyakodon. He slurped down the Miso soup, with a bit of it escaping his lips and gliding across a part of his face. He sputtered when that happened, a spray of miso soup flying into mist through the air. Coughing, he set down the empty bowl of soup and started to devour the Oyakodon. He grabbed a pork bun and sprinted for the door, snagging his bag on the way out. As he burst through the door he felt the air on his body and looked down. Naked, he screamed and ran back inside, throwing his bag beside the door and charging back upstairs. He did the hygiene process- shower teeth and hair in about five minutes, absurdly impressive. He then bounded over towards his room and leaped into his official UA Academy uniform! Aha! Spearing his arms through the sleeve, he flexed and admired himself in the mirror.
Then he was off! He leaped down the stairs again; the floor already being scuffed due to this being a frequent thing he did, he rolled to a recover and rushed for the door. Masato waved and was unseen as Daiki snatched up his bag and sprinted out of the door as fast as he could, reaching the speed of a town car as he barreled down various streets of Musutafu. "Out of the way! The number one besterest future Hero coming through! Emergency outta the waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!" He said, opting to run in the bicycle lane of the road. He was panting, foot after foot thump thump thump as he neared the famous UA Academy for his first ever class. The rows of Sakura trees reminded him of Kanazawa, it was a beautiful sight but not an appreciated one as he ZOOMED by it in second! Charging towards school, those who didn't have classes and were just heading about their days got a nasty gust of wind if they were anywhere near his path. Some students cried out and held down their skits and hair while others just watched in confusion from the lunatic sprinting around.
Awesome, awesome! He was inside the famous UA Academy! Oh, sign-ins ah! He flashed his UA Identification Card and sprinted on through, the person nearby going 'Uh-' before they were out of earshot. ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOM. As soon as he got to the stairway he opted for the most efficient way to ascend staircases, using both hands and feet! Slapping his hands on the upper step and kicking his feet from the lower step he charged up the stairs like an absolute animal. Huffing in exhaustion, he rounded the corner finally to see a sign that said '1-A'. At this point everyone inside the room due to his volume could hear the following statement.
"I MADE IT YEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!" Uh oh. He was still a solid fifteen minutes late, but apparently he made it? Apparently.
The entire class if they were listening to the sequel to that shout could hear thump thump thump thump BLAM as Daiki swung open the UA door and humbly declared.
"GOOD MORNING TEACHERS AND CLASSMATES I AM SATOU DAIKI AND I HUMBLY LOOK FORWARD TO BEING TAUGHT BY ALL OF YOU!" He bowed down to a 90 degree angle with with his hands clasped together in front of him and whispered loud enough that everyone could still hear. "Oh and I'm gonna be the besterestist Hero ever.". He then actually took in the room in itself. It was jam packed with students; he didn't make it in time did he? He thought he might've beat the clock. Uuuuh oooh... He looked towards one teacher, then another, then another, then... One last. It was an awkward moment, and he blinked, cleared his throat, and of course humbly made his way with a smile over to one of the still free seats closest to the front of the classroom.
Sitting there he just took in the responses, what an absolute idiot.

Isamu, on the other hand, was taking notes, in a small and neat script directly on his laptop's screen, which had been folded back to look like a tablet. Some of the names he heard from the students were at least passingly familiar. He even thought Raphael's appearance looked vaguely familiar. He had attended a few hero functions at his hero parents' behest, but he never enjoyed them much; for some reason people didn't appreciate him standing on a table or a counter top at a formal dinner. He was distinctive enough to leave an impression, but most of the time he kept to himself, finding some out of the way corner to technically still be 'at' the event without participating in it.
Some of the teachers were familiar to him as well, mostly by name and reputation, but if he was going to make a serious go of this he'd need to make connections and network… something he was rapidly realizing he should have been doing all along, but he had despaired of becoming a hero for so long that now all he could do was play catchup in almost everything.
And so he took notes. He took particular note of Dr. Yori's toaster glove. He wasn't sure if it had a real battlefield purpose, but if he was going to up his game on his work with electronics and mechanics, getting familiar with that particular faculty member couldn't hurt. Heroes had agencies and support companies to help with gear, but he still liked working with his hands and building his own stuff.
When it was finally his turn to speak he stood up, standing on his chair to give him some extra height as he cleared his throat. "Good morning, my name is—"
And then suddenly a very loud idio—classmate burst through the door, making a spectacle of himself, the classroom, the hallway, and from the sound of it, probably most of the school and maybe a decent chuck of Musutafu. He frowned, glaring quietly at Daiki as he slunk over to an empty desk, before clearing his throat again. "As I was saying, good morning." He offered a polite bow to the teachers. "My name is Isamu Suzuki. I look forward to my time at U.A."
He seemed to contemplate something for a moment before adding, "Don't try to pet me. I have claws."
With that he sat down again, making sure to add Daiki's name to his notes along with some very pointed observations.

Akasu must admit, U.A had a knack of hiring some of the most... eccentric people to be teachers for the next generation of heroes, that was for sure. It almost made normal, level headed people like himself or Sato-sensei stand out in a way, which was something unique to this workplace. Saying that, he guessed most pro heroes in general were rather strange in their own ways and.. the best of them tended to be even more stranger than the rest. He watched the support teacher's newest invention, he wasn't too sure why anyone would need miniature toast on field (not to mention, would that device even work without the man's quirk??) but he guessed he wouldn't be the guy who rained on the inventor's parade by pointing some logical flaws out. The kids looked somewhere from impressed to mildly confused, so it probably was fine.
After a tall blonde boy made a rather... over enthusiastic late entrance (and introduction) to the class, he glanced at his watch (it was rather old fashioned, but he still wore one, it was a graduation present from his parents when he finished his 3rd year exam in U.A all those years ago) and realised he probably should get going to the other classes to scare them (hopefully) into not being reckless, a small, pointless, feeble but dire wish for the next year.
"Alright, well I better be going and making my rounds to the other classes, I do hope I won't have to see you all in my office that often..."
Though the problem was, usually every year either class A or B were infamous for being troublemakers... Was this class, class A the ones for that role this year? Time would tell.
"...but if there is anything wrong with your wellbeing, do not hesitate to come and see me. And I do look forward to seeing some of you if you are interested in the field medic field, which, may I add is very useful for yourself and your teammates in the future, or kendo in extracurricular classes I will be running for those subjects."
Akasu finished, giving the children a small smile before turning to the teachers, giving a small bow before leaving the classroom.

Oh boy, a late comer. That is exactly what I need. Aoi could not help but roll her eyes just a bit as the late student arrived. Those type of people annoyed her. Date and times were set for a reason. Half the time, the people that were late on the first day of class just wanted attention. She had seen it many times. People show up late to have the spotlight and tend to detract of whoever is speaking. Why remember other people in a class when someone who burst in late and with no effort what so ever seems so much cooler. Aoi never graduated from U.A., something a lot of heroes wanted to throw into her face when she initially made the scene.
When all the students had finished introducing themselves, Aoi look them all up and down. They were going to be an interesting class. It would be first time she was going to be the head of a first year class. Flicking a piece of dust off of her finger, Aoi stood in front of the teacher's desk. "Very well! All of you must be excited to get started but we don't have much planned today other than going over some things, which I now will do."
Picking up her notebook, she looked over just a few notes.
"While you will be taking classes with several teachers, you will be seeing me the most. I am your homeroom teacher. I will not tolerate insolence and laziness. Be on time and work hard. We'll make you have a decent hero in no time. Don't forget to read the rules of U.A. Also, remember, if any of the teachers see you as unfit for this school, we do reserve the right to expel you. Class is dismissed for the day. Be on time. Everyone gets one warning, except you, Satou." With little else to say, Aoi closed her notebook and left the classroom.
This is going to be an interesting year.
