Class 1-A, eh? Fu thought as she walked down the hallway, dragging her suitcase behind her. After she found out which class she was part of, Fu had picked up the suitcase she had to leave in the main office and her new dorm key. She was told to guard the key with her life and it was as important as never loosing her student ID. She wondered why they cared so much about the student ID? The campus seemed accessible for everyone. People seemed to be able to walk in and out of the campus so she was not sure what the school was going on about. Shaking her head, she was counting off the numbers on the dorms. She was expecting her brother to come with some of her stuff. He was being helpful after completely embarrassing her. How is anyone in her class going to take her seriously if she gets treated like a little kid. Just blushing at the thought, she finally found her new room.
Unlocking the door, Fu swung the door open. The room was smallish but livable. According to the secretary, she was given a single because she was basically lucky. It was the only room open and due to her having to take a late exam, most of the rooms were already taken. She somehow got into the academy and now she is here. Fu guessed that she got lucky. Throwing the suitcase on the bed, she sighed. She was looking forward to this year. It was going to be an interesting time.
Opening the suitcase, she found the picture of when Ryuu and her were kids. They had put on their parents' costumes and were pretending to be them. The other picture she took with her was the four of them celebrating Fu's birthday. "Good times..." Fu muttered, placing both pictures on the nightstand.

Well that had been interesting.
The events of this morning had been rather fun and all but he'd caused his little sister a little trouble and now it was time to make amends for it by fulfilling his role of being a helpful sibling. Finger held up pointing to the sky, Ryuu's eyes were blood red as a casual smile rested on his face while he walked. Above his head was a box that floated harmless a foot or so from his head. The box rattled and shook slightly as he walked but the container wasn't all that tough to carry. It was just slightly awkward due to the constantly shifting weight of it's contents. That was fine for him however as any practice was good for him in his mind. And so with stuff in tow he made his way to the first year dorms. The trip hadn't taken all that long but considering he HAD gone back to his dorm to get the stuff she'd sent him ahead of time, it had taken him a little over an hour to get to her building. Considering he'd already been on campus for two full years already, he knew the building like the back of his hand and so traversing it hadn't been much of an issue. Arriving at the girl's door he gave it a few soft knocks as his mind traveled to several more serious thoughts.
But they would only linger on them for a single however.
Given the nature of today he wouldn't let them ruin the day.
Today he'd be jovial and upbeat.
He'd be Fu's supportive brother.
Just like he always was.~

Knock Knock Fu's ears perked up as she heard the distinct sound of knocking on her door. That had to be her brother. She would be rather disappointed if it was some random school staff person. Ignoring the rest of the contents of her suitcase, she walked over to the door. Lightly opening the door, Fu gave the person on the opposite end of her door. It was indeed her brother. Even though he could be overbearing at times, he was still her brother and she loved him to death. She loved her family and they could do no wrong in her eyes. Every time she thought of her family, she could only feel happy. With what has happened the recent months, it surprised her. Thinking of her parents made her upset because of their current state but if she thought of her family as a whole, though, she would be happy. So Fu just decided she would only think about her family rather than just her parents. Stepping aside, she made room for her brother to enter the room. Motioning to her bed, Fu said with her usually upbeat voice she used around her brother "Thanks, onii-chan! I really appreciate you helping me move in!"

Hearing the sound of movement behind the door, Ryuusei instantly leapt at his sister the moment the door was opened. Careful to not let all her stuff crash to the floor behind him, Ryuu couldn't resist giving the girl a huge embrace the moment he set eyes on her. Of course this was coupled with her name being yelled simultaneously so just in case the people around her happened to be even slightly curious about her identity, they would need to wonder no longer. With that out of the way, Ryuu would let the girl go and watch as she stepped aside so he could enter. She offered him a word of thanks for his help, but he shook his head and waved his free hand at the thought. It really wasn't all that big a deal after all! He was only doing what any brother would! Accepting her invitation to enter, Ryuusei was careful to not bang her box against the overhead archway. With a few careful and calculated waggles of his finger the box descended slightly before slowly floating on inside of the room. Ryuusei was close behind the box as he casually pointed his index finger towards the desk which the box then proceeded to float on over towards. Settling down on the desk with a small jiggle, Ryuu's job was now officially done! But given that this was only the second time in recent history that he'd seen his sister under rather happy conditions he wanted to drag it out. "Oh man, Mom would be horrified to see that you haven't already spruced this place up!" Ryuu teased as he cast an impish grin towards Fu. "I mean I know you've just gotten here but ya gotta get some individuality in this place! Speaking of which, did you happen to bring....'it'?" Ryuu asked as his smile seemed to continue growing in size. "Knowing you...." Ryuu began as his catlike eyes began to scan the room. "♫It's gonna be here somewhere.♫~"
"Where's mister seal? Or did ya finally leave home without him this time.~"

She wanted to tell her brother to quiet down but she could not bother. He probably would get louder than he already was. In the end, she did not mind. She loved him so the few antics really were just lovely quirks. When he commented on that her mother would be horrified that she had not tidied up the place, She giggled a bit at the thought. Her mother always loved things being in place as soon as she arrived in a place. Fu will keep in mind that when their parents come over for parent's weekend. Maybe she does not show her parents her dorm room, at least not her mother. "Don't mention it to mom when she calls. You know she'll freak."
Picking up the box her brother dropped, she pushed it under the bed. She'll worry about that stuff later today. She might even unpack it tomorrow. When he mentioned a very specific thing. Taking her backpack that she had placed on the desk chair, she took out a small seal plushy. Giving it a light hug, she looked up at her brother. "O-of course n-not. Mr.Seal c-comes everywhere!" She gave her brother a little upset look before smiling again. Running up, she gave him a tight hug.
"So glad to be at the same school as you, Onii-chan!"

"I mean, just get your stuff up and decorate the place a little and i'm sure it'll be fine!~" Ryuu said in a sing song voice as he replied to his little sister . Watching the girl move to the box he delivered, Ryuu thought she might have started unpacking. Apparently that wasn't the case as his next line of questioning seemed to divert her attention. Turning her attention toward her small backpack, Ryuu had to restrain his hand from reflexively going to the face. And there it was. Mr. Seal. Fu's long beloved stuffed animal. Because of course, where else would it be right? Given the girl's history with the thing, the plushie had been with her arguably longer than he had been. Given that he'd been away for school the last two years, the thing probably served as a source of constant strength and reassurance for the girl. Which was why as much he wanted to prod her to outgrow it, he couldn't say anything remotely of that nature. The girl carried the thing around with her regardless of where she went. He couldn't remember exactly if the plushie had been with her during the taxing period where their parents had been hurt, but he wouldn't have been surprised it wasn't all that far from reach. And so, given it's important nature, Ryuusei could only smile and chuckle slightly as he watched her snuggle the small creature.
Still, apparently he didn't lose out to the thing as his sister ran up to him and gave him a loving embrace while telling him that she was glad to be here with him. "The feeling is mutual." Ryuusei said honestly as he pushed several lingering doubts aside. Rubbing the girl's head softly he couldn't help but think this was rather nice. All in all though, it really was nice to know she still held him in high regard! Or actually thinking about it. Shouldn't he have been worried? Considering his competition was literally just a small toy...wasn't he actually in trouble!? Perhaps. But he wouldn't worry about it right now. "So how are you doing?" Ryuusei asked in a slightly more serious tone as he broke their embrace.
"Like seriously." He added as he gazed down inquisitively towards the girl. Even though he was technically a psychic, Ryuusei never really could get a good read on his sister. At times she was something that needed to be protected. But at others she showed a strength that was unusual for someone of her stature. Even when they had serious conversations, once she was set on something, there was no dissuading her. Which always made getting a handle on where she was at kind of tough. Hence, it was why Ryuusei always took her words at face value. He considered the two of them to be rather close and seeing how that was the case, Futaba would never lie to him right? Right! She would never lie to her big brother!~

She really had to think about her brother's question. Going to a new school was always a scary time for the young girl. Last time she started at a new school she became the target of jokes. It bothered her Fu. She never understood why people had such a disposition to pick on her. She was not very different from most people. She had a quirk. It was not something super special, but she had a quirk. There were a few unfortunate people who did not have quirks at her school and they were treated the same way she was. People were cruel. That was the conclusion she drew from all of her middle school experience.
"Honestly, I'm nervous. I don't want to disappoint anyone, especially mum, dad, and you." She shrugged before breaking the embrace for a bit. Walking over to the bed, she sat down. Taking note that she had to make her bed before she went to bed later today, she placed her plushy on where the pillow would be.
"It's been rough back home. I've been helping mum and dad. Mum can do most things still but dad is having more issues with ya know." Fu sighed, wondering how their parents were holding up.
"I don't know if I can do the hero stuff. My quirk really isn't great for it. I know we just started but I'm already considering transferring." Fu looked up to how her brother would react to what she said.

Regardless of where you went. People were gonna be butts. Or so Ryuusei would have told the girl could he read her thoughts. But unfortunately, the man wasn't psychic. Well technically he was but he couldn't read thoughts is what he meant! It was only natural however. People who were stronger in either status or strength preyed on those who were below them. Even if Futaba had a quirk her's was still woefully unimpressive when likely compared to what others could do in her school. Given the way the girl always put on a strong front however, Ryuusei couldn't read her. Even if he could tell that her emotions were in flux and that her thoughts were morose, he could only assume it was because she was thinking of their parents. But unfortunately for his little sister. He couldn't tell. Ryuusei had never been good at reading others and if he wasn't told straight up how someone felt, he would likely never really know their inner feelings. Listening to her voice her doubts as she broke away from him, Ryuusei honestly didn't know what to say. His expression dropped for a moment before he quickly slapped on a smile as she sat on her bed. Given that her gaze could shift back to his direction at any moment, he couldn't show her an ounce of weakness. Even if she felt unsure about herself, he'd be the pillar in her life even when he wasn't exactly sure what he needed to do. And so he'd continue to quietly watch with a passive expression as she talked. As she pressed on however, Ryuu couldn't help but sigh before shaking his head softly towards her. Walking towards her bed and plopping his butt down besides her, Ryuu stared straight ahead as he started talking. "Listen Fu. About your concerns. I can relate. But ever since coming to this school, I've learned two things that I'm sure you'll come to learn too.""First. You'll learn that a quirk is only as strong as it's user. Now, I know that your quirk isn't the flashiest thing around. But that doesn't matter. It really doesn't matter that you can't do what everyone else can. Which leads us into the second thing that I've learned." Ryuusei explained as he held up a single finger before lifting up another finger as to emphasize his second point. "Every quirk is unique. But that's only because every user is unique. Even if two people have similar quirks, how they use them won't ever be exactly the same. So don't worry about disappointing mum, dad, or me. I can vouch for all of all of us that we'd be proud of you regardless of the circumstances. Which is why rather than worrying about disappointing us. There's only one person you need to work to not disappoint." Ryuusei stated simply as paused for a second as he put a reassuring arm around his little sister. "And that person is yourself.""Obviously however, if you ever do want to transfer, then you should do it. That won't change how we all feel about you of course." He added softly as he smiled towards the small girl. He'd give the girl a loving squeeze before removing his arm from her and add a few more reassuring words. "As for our parents, I wouldn't worry too much about them. Though, I was worried about dad for a bit. But not for the reason you'd think. Mum can get scary ya know? If he doesn't snap out of his mood and adjust his attitude, I'm sure she'll whip him into shape. She's strong like that ya know?""So all in all...." Ryuusei began slowly as he wondered how he should sum everything up to the girl. "I guess what I'm pretty much trying to tell ya is...don't worry too much about it? You've just got here after all. Plus I'm sure everything will be fine in the end. And if it isn't, I'll make sure it's fine. But if you ever feel like it isn't fine, promise you'll tell me? Even if I have a quirk related to my mental prowess, I'm kinda dumb. So promise you'll let me know if anything's wrong? Alright? OH! And ya gotta pinky swear with me too! Otherwise it's not official" Ryuusei joked as he held up his pinky finger towards the girl with a rather dumb grin that sort of reinforced his baseless words. He wasn't a Hero yet, but even if he wasn't he was sure that even with his abilities, he could at least protect his little sister.

Her brother was sure something else. He probably was her best friend in the entire world and the best older brother out there. What else could she ask for? That he was more caring than he already was? That be funny to see. He was already overbearing at times. Fu could not see him being even more overbearing. She understood that, as a brother, he was going to very positive about her. Say things to encourage her. It was a good thing, right? Positive reinforcement or something? Fu remembered reading that in some textbook. What year did she read that again? She doesn't seem to remember. Maybe her quirk was giving her memory problems. That wouldn't make sense though. Her mother or Ryuu ever had that problem and they have quirks in the same vain as her. Fu was just imagining things. She had to be.
Raising her hand, she intertwined her pinky with her brother's. Leaning on to him for a bit, she closed her eyes. Her brother meant the world to her and nothing was ever going to change that.
"Ryuu. You're the best brother I could have asked for. You do so much for me. For mum and dad. Nothing is going to ever change that."

"Of course not." Ryuu replied near instantly as he shot her another reassuring smile before rising to his feet. "Well, I don't want to take up the rest of your day seeing as how you still need to unpack pretty much everything you own. Just....don't be too hard on yourself alright? And if anything, if you ever need me. Just call."
And with that Ryuusei would give the small girl a light wave as he saw himself out of the room. Reflecting on the girl's words as he walked down the hallway, Ryuusei wasn't so sure he was by any means the best brother she could have asked for. Like with his sister he had his own insecurities. Ones which constantly darkened his thoughts and compelled him to act. Given his inability to really do much to lighten the load on both his parents or Fu, he'd felt relatively useless the past few months. Sure he utilized said time to the training of his quirk but he really felt like that didn't matter in the grander scheme of things. Yet, abandoning his duty and rushing home to just care for his family would've betrayed everything his parents had ever wanted for him. They expected him to rise through the ranks of Hero Society and eventually become their successor. Throwing all that away just because of an unfortunate incident might have made them lose faith in their child who couldn't realize that.
...Or maybe they had already lost faith in him since he had left rather early in their recovery. Their care had mostly fallen to Futaba and it wouldn't be much of a stretch to say he still felt rather guilty about leaving her alone with them. Shaking his head softly as he tried to free himself of such thoughts, Ryuusei couldn't wipe the glum expression off his face as the dark thoughts continued to linger in the back of his mind. Feeling a slight buzz from his phone, Ryuusei welcomed the distraction as he lit up the screen and checked his notifications. Melancholy quickly shifted to disgust as Ryuusei turned his face up at the messages that had popped up on his phone. Quickly turning off his phone's screen as he shoved the device back in his pocket, Ryuusei felt a few more annoying buzzes as sighed softly to himself. Shit. He actually forgot. He should've warned Fu about Mika. Or so he considered for a second as he debated turning around for a second. Toying with the thought for a second, he eventually decided against it instead making a mental note to just tell her the next time he saw her. Even if this was Mika they were talking about, Ryuusei doubted the guy would work THAT quick. Plus, even if he did, if he so much as harmed a single hair on Futaba's head, well...
Ryuusei would cross that bridge when he came to it.
