Hai, hai! arrival day!
⤜Mitsuko's first day in the dorms⤛ Mitsuko couldn't help but beam with happiness. Sure, UA was huge - and so much information at one time could have had someone reeling. However, she just soaked up the information Jun dispensed like a sponge. These shortcuts will definitely come in handy later on during the school year. She was sure of it. Another thing Mitsuko was sure of was that unless she learned how to cook - or a fellow classmate stepped up for cooking - she was going to make a lot of use of the Cafeteria.
For majority of the tour, Mitsuko hadn't spoke. After being shown the support students area - she started to drown in thoughts over how her Quirk wasn't quite Hero material. Her exterior didn't change much as these thoughts bothered her. A smile was still plastered on her face. The only thing that brought her back was when Jun asked if there was questions.
How easy is it to transfer if one decides they're not hero material? Her thought slipped through her lips. Mitsuko's smile faded and was briefly replaced with a look of horror. Hypothetically of course, and also vise-versa? She laughed, trying to play off her question as one that didn't eat her from the inside out.

Kuro followed after Jun with interest as the boy showed the two new students around the dorm. While the kitchen didn't have the sort of professional grade equipment he was used to, he could recognize that it was still pretty high end stuff. Evidently there were no expenses spared for the future heroes, a fact that just became more and more obvious as Jun continued to lead them about, quickly finishing up the dorms and moving onto the campus itself. With Mitsuko being quiet for the majority of the tour, Kuro took it upon himself to keep the conversation flowing as much as he could, making all sorts of comments and observations as they moved about.
Kuro had of course seen a bunch of the campus while he'd been trying to track down the dorms, but his classmate's targeted tour proved just how massive it really was as he kept taking them to more and more places that the boy hadn't even seen in his original wanderings. Somehow he had a feeling that they were still only scratching the surface, especially considering the size of some of the buildings they passed by. All of these shortcuts Jun was showing them seemed like they'd practically be mandatory if they wanted to get anywhere in a reasonable amount of time.
After passing by the support workshops, Jun asked if they had any questions so far, and again Mitsuko spoke up first, with a rather... pointed question. Or so it seemed anyway, As Kuro turned to look at her he figured it had to be the first time he'd seen that boundless enthusiasm disappear from her face since they introduced themselves. The look that replaced it, if only for the briefest of moments, seemed all too familiar to him though, a feeling that was only reinforced by exactly what she had asked about. Did you have what it took? Did you really belong there? Those sort of feelings of self doubt were hounding him even now, after all he had originally applied to the school for the general education courses... but that was beneath the mask; suppressed and out of sight. "Not hero material?" The boy simply shrugged and shook his head, as if the idea were completely foreign to him. "Likely easier going one direction than the other I'd assume, though I can't imagine that being a particularly common event, after all; surely an institution such as this would know the difference, right? If one didn't have what it took they never would have gotten through the entrance exam." The argument was actually the same one that his father had given him when he'd brought up his reservations about coming to the school, one of the few times he'd stepped out of the persona since the incident... he wasn't entirely sure he believed it deep down, but it was logical enough and it had made the mask stronger.
"I was actually wondering about extracurricular activities." Kuro said, turning to Jun after Mitsuko's question had been addressed. "Are the training facilities open outside of class, and where are the club buildings?"

Things went well. The boundless enthusiasm that Mitsuko had disappeared for a question. He was about to answer when Kuro interjected. "Normally, yeah, I'd agree with that. Nonetheless, there is always that pressure to get you to go, as the school motto says, plus ultra. If you voluntarily switch classes, it's actually rather easy. And vice versa, assuming the spot hasn't already been filled again. One of our classmates have done this, since she felt like she didn't have what it takes due to her quirk. Despite its incredible usefulness." But still, he definitely agreed with the other boy. If you didn't have what it takes, then you never would have been selected to be in their exclusive program. Kuro had his own questions. "The big ones we just went to usually aren't. Unless you have teacher permission and a reason for it, you're typically told to use the other general training courses. Including firing ranges, swimming pool, both inside and outside, various gyms, what have you. They usually have something for most types of quirks or training you want to do. And if not, you can always ask an advisor, and they'll see what they can come up with. I can show you where the various club buildings are. I guess UA actually has a decent basketball team..."
He gave them a tour of the various sports clubs, book clubs, tech clubs, drama clubs, and others. Soon after, someone with blue hair and three chain like metal arms sticking out of his back came up to them. "Junny! Have you thought about any other gadgets you want to add to your costume?" The student was short, and looked very...androgynous. Though the blond knew Daichi was a boy, despite the pigtails on the top of his head, the poor guy gets mistaken for a girl all the time. Shaking his, but smiling, he was about to introduce the two new students to Daichi.

Hai, hai! arrival day!
⤜Mitsuko's first day in the dorms⤛ Mitsuko absorbed the answers from both boys. That's very true, maybe the staff at UA saw something about her quirk that she couldn't. Obviously being too close to the situation. She doesn't ponder on it to much longer. Kuro's interest in the training grounds and clubs had piqued her interest. She tagged along with both the boys, feeling a bit better that before. She was still mostly silent for Jun to talk about each club.
Any clubs you plan on joi- she stopped mid sentence, noticing a new student joining the group. While giving the student a once over, she realized Jun and this student knew each other. However, afterwards Mitsuko couldn't help but squeal, Het is zo schattig!1 I love your pigtails! I'm Mitsuko Sugimoto, do you think I could pull off that style of pigtails in my hair? She bombarded the student. Her question was honest and true, she was curious to know if they would even look good in her short hair.

"I see, I suppose I'll have to investigate the options available to us then..." Kuro nodded along as Jun went about explaining which facilities were and weren't available to them in their free time. With the number of different training grounds that existed on the campus, he was sure that there would be one suitable enough for his needs... and hopefully one where he could practice without too many prying eyes. While the two displays of his abilities earlier had gone well, they'd also been relatively simple commands. It wasn't always so easy, and the fewer people that saw just how easy it was for him to screw up his quirk, the better.
As the group continued on to tour around the various club buildings, Kuro paid special attention to the different clubs that Jun pointed out. There was the tennis team, the school band was over there, a literature club appropriated a small library of their own, and.... yes, there it was; the theatre. In all actuality that was the only thing that boy was really looking for, the rest was just to help learn his way around the campus and spend a bit more time with his new classmates. In any case; mission accomplished. The boy tucked the information away for later, doing his best to remember exactly how they'd gotten there so that he could return when it was time for sign-ups.
Finishing up with the club buildings, Mitsu seemed to be about to ask something when another student approached them and the girl cut off with an excited shout. Kuro flinched slightly at the sudden outburst, but couldn't help but grin anyway. Evidently she had fully recovered from the momentary bout of melancholy and the infectious energy was back. Turning to face the newcomer, Kuro looked them over as he gave them a moment to defend against Mitsuko's sudden onslaught. A shorter kid with blue hair and a few strange extra appendages coming out of their back. If the mention of gadgets and costumes was any indication, they were probably part of the support program...
"We've just transferred into the hero course." Kuro explained after the kid had the chance to recover from the initial interaction. "Kuro Murakami, it's a pleasure to meet you." He said as he introduced himself with the same sort of over the top bow he'd given Mitsuko and Jun before.

Daichi and Jun both jumped at Mitsuko's sudden squeal. Kuro also introduced himself after explaining. "Hello. I'm Daichi Arashi. I'm from the support class." The boy bowed politely and was pretty formal in introducing himself. A little nervous in meeting new people. "Sure? I mean, it's not exactly hard to do..." He responded to Mitsuko's outburst.
"Don't let his appearance fool you, Daichi is a boy. Not that it deters me any~" The blond gave the boy a playful wink, earning him a playful punch to the shoulder, and a blushing blue haired boy. "Anyways, Daichi made my wrist mounted grappling hooks. And quite a few other support equipment for the hero classes. So yeah, if you need anything from him, he's the guy to go to. His nickname is Toolkit, by the way. Those arms aren't just for show, they can turn into various tools for him to use."
Daichi showed off a little, the three fingered hands transforming into a small hammer, a flat tip screwdriver, and a small handsaw. "More efficient than by hand, but less than an actual power tool. Have you two thought about any gadgets or costume ideas?" The blue haired teenager was still overly formal. But he was also curious if the two new students had put any thought into it. He was ready and willing to help. Jun looked like he was curious as well. Kuro had a cool quirk, but if he was silenced somehow or too preoccupied to actually get a command out...did he have a way to defend himself then?

Hai, hai! arrival day!
⤜Mitsuko's first day in the dorms⤛ Mitsuko glazes over the reactions of all three boys. However, she smiled at Daichi's response, Perhaps you can show me.
She turned her attention to Jun and giggled watching his and Daichi's interaction. You two look good together. She said bluntly before turning to Daichi, her eyes glittered in awe when he transformed his extra appendages. That is so cool! Your quirk is so handy.
Mitsuko had to think first about Daichi's question, her mother's friend had already built her a support item. However, she wasn't so certain about anything else that could aid her journey to be a hero. If you don't mind, Daichi, how popular are weapon requests for those with non-physical quirks? Depending on the answer Daichi would provide Mitsu would pretty much cover the rest of her game plan for the day. If he was confident and into helping her with it - she'd probably hang out around here with him. If otherwise, she should probably go back to the dorms to unpack.
She turned to Kuro, curious to know if he was interested in any support items as well.

Kuro's guess proved to be on the money as the support student gave an introduction of their own, accompanied by a bit of chiding from Jun. Along with a small demonstration of Daichi's quirk, the topic quickly turned to that of support equipment and Kuro found himself cupping his chin in thought. Evidentially Mitsu had something in mind based on the question she'd asked, but him? Grappling hooks, utility belts, stun guns, these were certainly the things of heroes but the thought that he'd be in a position to use them hadn't ever occurred to him until now. "Quite honestly, I hadn't really thought about it." He finally admitted with a shrug. "I suppose I have a few thoughts about my costume, we can discuss that a bit later if you like, but as far as gadgets and the like go... Alastar here is all I've really ever used."
He grabbed one of the paws that was hooked around his neck and swung the lion out in front of him where Daichi could see it. "He's not just a normal stuffed animal, mind you. After one too many patches we had someone give him a bit of a treatment to toughen him up. You'll not find a more steadfast companion." Though it was impossible to tell based on how it looked now, Alastar had once been held together by little more than patchwork and magic. When it had been on the verge of completely falling apart, his mother had asked a favor of a friend of hers in a support shop, and the plush had been rebuilt with the same sort of materials used to make high end hero costumes, both flexible and durable. If it came down to it, the little lion could probably survive more punishment than Kuro himself in its current form.
"Generally if I need something more specialized, there's usually something on site that can get the job done with my quirk. That being said, I imagine having such things on hand could be rather useful, so I'm open to suggestions if you have any."

Daichi blushed a little, with Jun outright laughing. He didn't see the boy like that, as adorable as he was. Still, Daichi answered Mitsu's question. "It's not that uncommon. Bo staffs seem to be the most popular, but we've also had a sword, and other things. We can pretty much do anything. Could give use some ideas and stuff for what you're looking for, and we can see if we can make it happen. Gear that makes one's quirk more efficient or add to their utility is also something that's done." Jun half wondered if Hyousuke took part in that. The guy was a bonafide Energizer bunny. And was able to make it to the tournament.
Then Kuro added on, showing the cute stuff bear. The blond saw a glint in Daichi's eyes. "How much do you want to bet on that? What's your quirk? We can do an awful lot depending on what it is. Junny's quirk is flexible enough that he doesn't need much, but if your quirk relies on something other than yourself, we can come up with some ideas and some additions that are practical, yet specialized enough for most situations. You just need to talk to use and let us know what you're looking for." The smol boi held out his hands, as if to ask if he could burrow it and take a look at it.
If Kuro did, he would feel around and poke it, checking on on it. It was well made, but Daichi was confident he could make it more durable, but not knowing any other criteria of the man's quirk, he wasn't sure what else he could do with it.

Hai, hai! arrival day!
⤜Mitsuko's first day in the dorms⤛ Mitsuko pondered on what she could use. The list that Daichi had rattled off was a good start. She already had some swordplay under her belt thanks to her father. However, it was a stepping stone. Her father just made temporary swords for her to use - maybe having one of her own would improve her skill. The thought of just buying a sword crossed her mind, but a sword hanging on her hip wouldn't really match her Hero Outfit. I wonder if that is something the support team could do... She cupped her chin, rubbing it in curiosity. A collapsible sword usually isn't as sturdy as a regular one. So maybe an extending bo-staff is the way to go? She peered over to Jun, Do you have any support gear? Mitsuko asked, she figured he hadn't - since he has a physical quirk. But who knows, maybe the blonde would surprise her.
When Kuro had started speaking of Alastar, Mitsuko's mind filled with questions.Like what the stuffed lion was reinforced with, was it steel frame or a polycarbonate skeleton? Then listening to Daichi talk, his excitement was contagious. Mitsuko felt herself become jittery, This is exciting! Do you think an of the support students put on like a depo?

Kuro tapped his chin in thought as he considered how best to answer Daichi's question. "I suppose the best way to describe it would be... 'animation'. If I can touch an object, I can bring it to life with a command to follow. Here..." As he passed off Alastar for the boy to get a closer look, he let his hand linger on it for a moment so that he could give a demonstration. "Be polite now Alastar and introduce yourself to our new friend." As another flicker of red passed through his eyes and the words left his lips, Kuro could feel his breath starting to grow thinner. As useful as his quirk was, his endurance left something to be desired. Each individual command took a toll, and he had admittedly been showing off with his parlor tricks earlier. He adjusted his breathing as it hit, inhaling deeper and more slowly to hide the effect and hopefully keep the others from noticing.
None the less, as Kuro gave the command, Alastar wriggled to life in Daichi's hands, first giving an animated wave, then extending a hand forward to shake. Assuming the boy obliged the lion however, it would immediately fall inert again after shaking hands and some of Kuro's breath would return to him, freeing him up to speak again without giving away his loss of stamina. "I haven't a doubt that you might be able to make him sturdier still, but I'm concerned it might cost my friend a bit of his cuddly decorum. A stuffed animal made of armor would rather defeat the point, wouldn't it?" He gave a shrug as he spoke, but then stopped to actually consider the possibility. Having something mechanical in nature would open up more options, and depending on how it was made it wouldn't necessarily be limited by his own strength as Alastar was. He wasn't sure exactly what form such a machine would take, but perhaps Daichi could help with that. "...Perhaps you might be able to make me another friend though. Is it incorrect to assume you might have some experience with robotics?"

Jun responded. "I have two wrist mounted grappling hooks. They look like a large watch or bracelet. Very practical. Especially if I forget my limits and happen to be in the air." Currently, he can only really hover with his flames. Granted at a fairly decent height, but still. Daichi smiled and waved at the bear politely. Already, the bluenette's mind was racing. Though the snag that Kuro spoke about did get him rubbing his chin.
"That's true. Especially depending on what kind of image you want to have. Still...adding a skeleton would help a lot, and I'm sure there's some kind of stuffing that can be used to both negate physical blows and sturdy him up. Fire resistant clothing is a thing, we can get fabric that is fire resistant, water resistant, and still be good looking on the outside without losing any of his cuddly and endearing decorum."
Jun also responded to Mitsuko. "On occasion, but it's primarily for support gear companies. If you want something in mind, you can just go to the class and start bouncing ideas off. Something will likely be able to be done."
A new glint appeared in Daichi's eyes. "Robotics aren't really my thing. But gadgets that often go in them is another matter. Collaboration projects are not uncommon. That said, depending on your theme, that might not be the direction you want to go, and may want to stick with different kinds of stuffed animals to use. I'm sure we can make a snake friend that is abnormally strong and tear resistant, but can tie up villains or use as a whip or something else. What do you think?"

Hai, hai! arrival day!
⤜Mitsuko's first day in the dorms⤛ Mitsuko's green eyes sparkled, physical quirks were extremely cool and flashy. Even though she was almost certain Kuro's wasn't a physical quirk, it was still flashy enough to garner the attention of Pro-Heros and agencies. At least, in her opinion it was. Mitsuko tugged at the hem of her shirt, she was feeling a little restless. Her mind going at least a hundred miles a minute. Between some internal struggles that she's been having and currently what was happening around her. It gets a little overwhelming, but she's able to push her personal thoughts back and will sort through them later, when the time is right.
Jun responding to her demo question, she turned her body to face him, but kept her gaze lowered to the ground. Honestly, I wouldn't be sure what to ask for. I already have a gadget that keeps my quirk magnified. However, I still get repercussions from using the gadget, since it does a little more than double my current output, she explained quietly, Also the fact I'm not sure on what style of fighting I'd like to adapt as my own. My parents currently push their ways on me. Perhaps, Daichi would be the better one to explain all this too, but she let him continue his conversation with Kuro. Besides, it made her feel a bit better emotionally to air out a couple of grievances to Jun.

Kuro nodded as Daichi went into detail about the potential upgrades he could give Alastar to improve the stuffed lion's utility. As far as the boy knew, the plush was already made of the sorts of materials the support student was describing, but he was far from an expert on the subject. Perhaps there were simply better options now? It had been a few years since he was rebuilt after all, and frankly if there were ways to make his dear companion even more survivable he certainly wasn't opposed to it.
In answering Kuro's question about the possibility of making something more mechanical, Daichi soon brought up the subject of theming, something else that the boy hadn't put any real thought into before. Folding his arms, he once again put his hand to his chin and set his mind about churning the idea around. What sort of image did he want to portray? The sort of gadget that Dachi described certainly sounded like it could be quite useful, but he of all people could appreciate the importance of the presentation. Stuffed animals? Admittedly not what came to mind when he tried to picture his ideal hero. A hero needed to be something more... grand. A presence that can't be ignored, one that could inspire awe and intimidation in equal measure. That's what he needed, but was that even something attainable for him? The more he thought on it, the more the doubt seemed to creep into the back of his mind and-
As his thoughts began to spiral, Kuro managed to catch the tail end of Mitsuko and Jun's conversation; evidently he wasn't the only one having a bit of a mental block. Seeing the same sort of doubt in her expression served as a reminder; it wasn't him that had to meet the standards that his mind reached for, he just had a role to play. Leaning back into the persona, he glanced up at his classmate and shot her a smile. "I wouldn't fret too much over it Mitsu, I dare say the two of us are in the same boat here." Turning back to Daichi he gave a respectful bow of the head and continued. "I do believe I'm going to need a bit of time to think this one through properly. It isn't the sort of thing that should be rushed, and perhaps us newcomers can help each other figure it out." He concluded, looking back to Mitsuko with a reassuring wink.

The two seem to be thinking it over quite seriously. Upon Mitsu's own admission, Kuro seemed to give her some encouragement. Jun did much the same. "Ugh, parents like that annoy me. Unfortunately, gadgets that amplify quirks also tend to amplify their side effects or make them come on much faster. There's no rush. Find your own fighting style first, and don't let your family get you down. Everyone has their own way of doing things, even if the quirks are similar. Mother always said that everyone is wired just a little differently. As for themes, my wrist grappling hooks don't interfere with anything, so I'm good. Sometimes more neutral items can make all the difference." And go about issues a little differently, fight a little differently, and everything else. It's ok to put some pressure to excel, but also support your kid and let them find their own way.
Daichi piped up again. "Gadgets and costumes change all the time. So yeah, don't worry about now. It's perfectly fine to give it some thought first before coming to us. As the year goes, learn about yourselves first, your fighting styles, etc. then come to us, and see if we can enhance it or make it more versatile. I better get going, see ya!" Daichi politely waved and went inside the classroom. Jun waved back.
"So, anywhere else you'd like to see?" Jun started to walk slowly, but only to get going and take them to their next destination. Hopefully they weren't too sick of him yet.
