Kyou managed to set up a meeting with Asahi's mysterious new person about a week and a half after the initial confrontation. The red head was in his villain costume, ready to interview the lady. She was quick, and wasn't afraid to shed blood. Skilled and brazen enough to take on a small group, get some cash and a flash drive or a hard drive of some sort, and get out. Granted, with some help from Asahi, but from what his boyfriend said, she probably would have been fine without him. He just made her job a little easier. She had used a burn phone, something they used all the time as well, so she was certain not an idiot or amateur. This meeting was to see why she even decided to become a villain in the first place, her ideology, and all that. He had no intention of seeing first hand if she can defend herself, though he was prepared for it if she wanted to see if he had strength.
He had his red demon mask on, complete with voice modulator, and his full knife compliment, combat vest, boots, gloves, and pants and shirt. He sat down at a lone table in the middle of the room...a card table. Nothing on top, nothing hidden beneath, and the room was barren. Oni had drones with cameras outside, and had picked her up, letting Akuma know via text that she was on her way. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't nervous about this meeting...but he was able to put it all aside and was ready to start it as soon as she came in. He didn't like to waste time after all...

Rika had not been idle this past week. Since her run in with the mute recruiter she had been doing her research, digging up whatever she could about this Akuma character and his gang. Her search had turned up more of the truth regarding their run in with a taskforce of UA students at the warehouse, a brief but effective war with a rival gang, and even tenuous connections to a high profile raid on a hero support company... no real proof on that last one, but at least one report had claimed to see the gang boss' signature mask among the group that infiltrated the building. All of this more or less backed up what Vanish had told her, which lent him a bit more credibility and was one of main reasons that she had actually decided to go ahead with this meeting. The instructions she'd eventually received pointed her toward a deserted office building in one of the older parts of the city. The short notice she'd been given meant that she didn't have time to do full reconnaissance on the location, but a quick sweep earlier in the day had revealed a few old security cameras and... not much else honestly. So either this gang was very discrete or this was just a pre-arranged meeting spot. Either way, the girl explored a few escape routes in the surrounding neighborhood in case something went wrong and then went to finish her preparations. By the time Ronin arrived it was late in the evening. She was dressed in her full armor, A metal gauntlet covering her left forearm, and her Katana sheathed at her side. Her face was once again obscured by a metallic fox mask, and her long hair was kept in a tight, intricate bun by a pair of Kanzashi sticks. As she entered the building and made her way up, Ronin's movements were slightly sluggish and despite the impressive armor, she looked rather scrawny. Her normally grey eyes were nearly black beneath her mask, the tell tale sign that she was storing energy for later. Everything was weakened except her senses; she was rarely willing to dull those when she was on the job, they were far to valuable for that. Finally arriving at the designated room, Ronin moved one hand to her weapon in preparation as she pushed the door open. There was no traps or ambush waiting within though, just a big empty room with a single small table in the middle. And sitting at that table was an individual in a red demon mask. Although the setup didn't appear particularly threatening at first glance, she remained still at the entrance for several seconds, prepared to draw if the need arose. But nothing happened. "Akuma, I presume?" She finally asked, muscles relaxing slightly as she started toward the table at the center of the room. {---Charges---}Storing: Constitution, Strength, Agility Burning: None Change: +3 Total: 3

Kyou waited patiently. Then she came in with the same outfit Asahi had described. "I am. Ronin I take it?" He gestured to the seat across from him. "Vanish mentioned that you were rather skilled. And even brazen enough to take on a small group to get some cash. I like that, but that's not all I look for in recruits. Why and how did you end up getting into this line of work? You seem to be around the same age as us, so it's a curiosity." Aside from some jobs they found that she did, they didn't find much on her. He had a gut feeling that this wasn't completely her choice, but had no proof to back it up. Plus, he could always be wrong, there were all kinds of reasons to get into this.
He also wanted to see her viewpoint on heroes and why she didn't go to them with whatever plagued her. Why not go to them or the police? Did they fail her as they did with him? What drives her to do this? Is it just a paycheck or is there something more there? All questions he wanted to ask her. Perhaps some of them will get answered with this...but for now, he listened and waited. Seeing if there was truth or lies in what he heard. Of course, if she also had questions, he'd be willing to answer them. Of course, depending on what they were, he did have some limits, as he was sure she did as well.

Ronin paused briefly as Akuma responded to her question. She hadn't ever given Vanish a name, he had simply never asked during their meeting, so hearing her alias spoken aloud was enough to put her on edge. The kid had mentioned the chat server though, so perhaps they had just managed to connect the dots? Either way, her approach slowed slightly and she refused to take her eyes of the gang leader. "...That's right." Reaching the table, she pulled out her chair and unclipped the katana sheath from her belt before taking a seat. As she settled into place she set the blade on her lap, keeping one hand on it at all times just in case the need arose. Akuma's first question caused an eyebrow to raise, not that anyone could see it beneath the mask. It was an odd thing to ask right away for this sort of business, but then again the Vanish kid had mentioned that this group had some sort of ideology connected to them, so perhaps she shouldn't be surprised. In any case, she had no real reason to lie or withhold her motivations, they weren't particularly revolutionary and she knew she was far from the only person stuck in the same sort of situation. "Short version? My family owes a very dangerous individual a lot of money. Not the sort of guy you can call the cops on, and not the sort of money that you can make with a 9 to 5." She wondered if this guy would recognize Hagane's name, but given the reported size of the gang it wasn't likely they had any real presence in other regions, especially not one as 'competitive' as Namba. "It's a very simple arrangement; I make the payments and he leaves my family alone.""As you might understand, I'm looking to make contacts, allies perhaps, and expand my income. If what your friend told me is true, you can help with that."{---Charges---}Storing: Constitution, Strength, Agility Burning: None Change: +3 Total: 6

He listened. His gut was right, she wasn't necessarily doing it by choice. Though honestly, he doubted that you couldn't call the cops on him. You could. But whether they could actually do something to the guy was another story. The arrangement was pretty standard. "I take it you believe the same thing if you called a hero? We can help out to an extent with work, maybe even some contacts. Might even be able to assist you with bigger jobs should you need it. In exchange, when or if I call, you come. Of course, assistance will not go unrewarded, but may not be as high as other jobs.
Thing is...I have a belief that heroes aren't necessarily doing it for the right reasons...some even doing the exact opposite. Some being corrupt, to the point of assisting certain villains, to others not accepting responsibility for their own actions. My ultimate goal is to eliminate these fake heroes in one way or another. Preferably murdering their career, but I'm willing to go a step farther than that. I'm looking for an inner circle of sorts, that doesn't just include Vanish and Oni. It kind of sounds like you don't really care, you just want to pay the bill and then get the hell out. Am I wrong?" He didn't believe he was, but sometimes people can surprise you. Either way, he made an offer, even if she may not be an officer of his, he'd get a better than average soldier should she decide to take it.

Well this was a bit unexpected. Ronin had known that this part of the discussion was inevitable, that this kid would give his pitch and try to to sell her on the beliefs that the outfit ran on. Honestly, just as Akuma said himself, she expected to not actually care at all, that the contacts and the pay would be her only real reasons for potentially joining this group. Well, they probably would still be, but... As the gang leader outlined his mission statement, Ronin actually found that she needed very little convincing. There wasn't anything new or radical here, all of his claims of corrupt and inept heroes were things that she was well aware of. Hell, she'd already had first hand experience with that particular brand of hero. The thing that Akuma didn't realize was that she didn't just think going to the heroes for help with her situation wouldn't work, she knew it. Because that's what she did, and that's why she was here in the first place. So sure, she didn't actually have any issues with the politics here, but what about the offer itself? Ronin folded her arms as Akuma finished his pitch, frowning slightly at the reminder of her own naivety that came with her memories. "You might be surprised. The longer version of my story is a little less cut and dry, but suffice to say I might have a bone to pick with a so called 'hero' or two. Whether or not I'm interested in a more active roll beyond the paycheck though is going to depend a whole lot on you." That wasn't something that they'd ever be able to clear up with just the one meeting, and there was no way she'd just give her loyalty to someone she only just met. Still, the terms that the boy had outlined for her services were agreeable enough and he had yet to do anything that raised any real red flags, so... "At the very least I don't have a problem with anything that you've laid out here, so what happens next? Is there more to this little interview or can we get down to business?"{---Charges---}Storing: Constitution, Strength, Agility Burning: None Change: +3 Total: 9

Now Akuma leaned forward. He was wrong after all. "Now that is certainly something I'm very interested in. I would love some elaboration, but I get the feeling that there needs to be some trust. And that will take some time. I don't really have anything more. Aside from a job that I was going to have Oni oversee. I'd likely still have him oversee it, but have a hands off approach and give it to you. Four members have a small heist in mind. After doing a bit of digging as to where the money is going, I think it's within our mission statement. We'll split it with you 45-55, your favor. You'll work with this crew and be the de facto leader of it due to experience. They've done some recon, but it's not the best. I'd give it a hard C. Perhaps you can teach them a bit.
Their names is Chomper, a relatively newer member that managed to get away from one of the few reputable heroes in the area and some UA interns while investigating our little gang war. His quirk allows him to form a black mouth and munch into things with a rather strong bite, he's the most skilled of the four. Kraken has been with us since shortly after we established ourselves. She uses water tendrils to attack and defend, but must be visible to her and she can't generate her own water. Probably the most flexible of the four. Mist can freeze liquids within their range, assuming she knows where it is. She can't use it on a human body though, but other things like a gas tank or water line is another story. Pulse is the oldest member of our group, but his quirk allows him to locate anything moving within a 30 yard radius. Kind of like sonar. He's...a bit rambunctious. You may have to smack him a few times before he'll listen to you. The convoy doesn't go for another five days. Tomorrow evening, meet Oni and these four individuals indicated in this phone. They'll fill you in. You game?"
The money was from a few minor hero agencies that were on his shit list. Sending money to government officials to cover up some of their more...questionable handling of cases and villains. He procured a burn phone that had the location for the meeting embedded into it. Assuming she was ok with the job. A lot of what they do were team based plays, since most of them weren't powerful enough or skilled enough to handle things on their own.

"Indeed." Ronin replied coldly to Akuma's question about the specifics of her story. Going into detail would mean revealing information that would make her more identifiable, and until she was sure she could trust him that wouldn't be happening. To her satisfaction though, it seemed that the interview portion of the meeting was indeed over, and as Akuma started to go over the details of the job Ronin leaned back in her seat slightly. It was a bit odd she thought, that they'd be putting her in a squad lead position for her first job, were they that short on experienced operatives, or was it just part of the play to get her on their side? As far as hooks went though, that combined with the extremely generous payment split was pretty hard to turn away. As Akuma went down the list describing his crew and their individual abilities, Ronin's mind was already busy thinking of ways that she could make use of these assets. It was a diverse set of skills to be sure, and there was some potentially powerful synergy in there if she could manage to get them to listen to her... And that was a big if. Leadership experience wasn't exactly something she had a wealth of, especially since she'd been operating almost completely on her own until now. But for a prize this big? She'd just have to figure it out, even if it meant she'd have to lay down the law for these... 'rambunctious' types, as Akuma put it. "Sure, I'm in." Ronin said as she took the phone Akuma offered to her. Even if she ended up just being a glorified babysitter on this job, it was still a place to start. She stowed the burner phone in her pocket and moved to stand, reattaching her sheath to her belt. "By the way, If we are indeed going to be working together, you might have a better idea of what to do with this than me." Reaching for a small satchel on her belt, she produced the hard drive she'd recovered from her last job and set it on the table in front of Akuma. While she did manage to get into the drive, she hadn't had time to do much more than briefly skim through a small fraction of its contents, which was in the form of countless video files. "CCTV footage ripped right from the network, hundreds of hours of it. I admit I didn't see anything too noteworthy in what I looked at, but the money in the case I found wasn't even a quarter of what those guns were worth, so there's gotta be something in there worth the difference to someone."{---Charges---}Storing: Constitution, Strength, Agility Burning: None Change: +3 Total: 12

She seemed to agree on the trust part. But she was all for it. Ronin also gave him a hard drive. Probably the one from the job that Vanish had assisted with. She explained what it had on it. "I'll see what we can find on it that would make it more valuable. Can't guarantee anything, and it may take some time. I'll contact you through that burn phone if we find anything within two weeks. But after that, you can pitch it, and I'll contact you another way. We'll see you later then, Ronin." He took the hard drive and stowed it in one of his many pockets before leaving. No mess, no fuss.
~
Oni was working on a laptop in an undisclosed rooftop with a makeshift table. The hard drive that Ronin had given them was installed and he was combing through it, running facial recognition on everyone and just trying to see if anything of note was there. He also had a second laptop that was specifically for them. Oni had on a black demon mask, gloves with metal studs on them, a protective vest, and black trousers. He also had a voice modulator on the mask. Chomper had his black attire with an olive green trench coat and gas mask. Kraken had a blue monster mask, dyed green hair, a brown hoody sweatshirt, jeans, shoes, and four water bottles. Mist wore a lot of dark blue, including her Pokémon mask. Pulse wore jeans, boots, a flannel shirt with a yellow jacket, his blond hair sticking up all over the place like usual. He was the most vocal of the group, and really didn't like the idea of some outsider leading them. The two girls were more open minded, particularly Kraken. Chomper was more indifferent, seeing it more like a trial by fire and would do his part. Pulse was also the least patient of the group. They all arrived well in advance of the meeting time.
"Hey, Ronin. I'm Oni. And I'll be observing everything. This second laptop has everything they've found out. Good luck." Oni spoke first when he saw her show up.
Pulse scoffed. "Yeah, whatever. Why the hell should we let her lead us? What qualifications does she have?" Almost six foot tall, he towered over most of them. He was a college student to boot. And had an avid interest in martial arts, though was a standard brawler himself. He had stomped over to her and tried to intimidate Ronin. Both Kraken and Mist sighed heavily and was just about to accost their elder member...

There was a soft hiss of pressurized air as Ronin swung onto the rooftop, the grappling hook retracting back into the device on her wrist as she touched down. As always she'd arrived early to do a recon sweep of the area, but had stayed hidden at a distance while the others waited around, making a point of approaching exactly at predetermined meeting time. Having decided that her full armor would be a bit too bulky and draw too much attention for the sort of hit and run job they were tasked with this evening, she'd left most of it behind. She only wore the chest piece and arm guards from the set, both of which were concealed beneath a baggy dark green zip-up hoodie. A pair of olive-drab tac pants and work boots completed the outfit, with her fox mask and the katana at her hip being the only things that really made her stand out at a glance. Luckily it appeared that her new colleagues didn't have any particularly outlandish clothing either. If they didn't see the masks, she imagined that most people would just assume they were a bunch of delinquents rather than actual criminals, a lesson in subtlety that was apparently lost on most of the yakuza types that worked in the region. Ronin's eyes narrowed beneath her mask as she approached the group, trying to reconcile each of them with the limited descriptions that Akuma had given her. True to his claims, they really did seem to all be around her age. Oni was obvious enough, not only did his mask match his namesake, but he just clearly looked like the one in charge here. The big one was probably Pulse she guessed, which would make the one in the gas mask Chomper by process of elimination. The girls were harder since she didn't have any real clues to tell them apart. Oh well, she'd sort that out soon enough. Ronin greeted Oni with a curt nod as the boy addressed her and then she started moving for the laptop he indicated. "Understood, I'm going to ne-" She was cut off both verbally and physically as the one she assumed to be Pulse stepped in front of her. Because she was still storing energy and wasn't wearing her full armor, the girl looked even scrawnier than usual in front of his much bulkier frame. Even still she didn't shrink away at all as she glared up at the young man. Apparently he was doing his best impression of a gangster tough, or at least Ronin hoped it was just an impression because she wasn't particularly convinced by the act. "I really hope you're not this loud on the job, the loud ones always go down first when the fight starts." She said coolly as she brushed past him, taking up a position by Oni on the other side of the table. Given Akuma's warning about the guy, she briefly considered just folding him over then and there, but ultimately decided that it just wasn't worth the energy if she could avoid it. "I'm the one leading you because your boss said so, something about you guys lacking experience. If that's not a good enough reason for you then I'd say his fears were well founded. Now unless you'd like a first hand practical demonstration of my 'qualifications', I'd rather get to work." Folding her arms dismissively, Ronin turned her attention to the rest of the group, pretending to ignore Pulse. "You all can call me Ronin, I'm here to make sure this job goes smoothly and we all get paid. I already know who the loud mouth is, but the rest of you should introduce yourselves, and then I want you to give me a quick run down of the target and our intel." She said with a gesture toward the girl in the blue mask. {---Charges---}Storing: Constitution, Strength, Agility Burning: None Change: +3 Total: 15

Pulse sputtered as Chomper started to hold back laughter. Both women smiled beneath their masks but said nothing. They liked this new person already. They listened to Ronin. Chomper was the one to speak up first, still wheezing a little from his laughing fit. After introducing himself, Kraken went next, then Mist. Kraken was the one that went into detail on the target. "The target is a money van coming from some minor local heroes to a member of the Hero Association Board. The heroes themselves have a sidekick or two, but they usually only have one or two of them guarding the van. The HAB member is pretty shady, and has had some backroom deals, but that's about all we've found on that front. The van itself is nondescript. The route is this street here..."
"I think that's a decoy personally though. But haven't really found anything to back it up. Money orders have several routes, after all. Even ones like this. The buildings are these here..." Chomper took over and showed three buildings close by. Including the one that the van was coming from, and showed the various routes to the HAB member's domain. Which were too many. A grade of C was probably generous.
Oni spoke up. "See why Akuma gave it a hard C, and that was him being generous? The heroes in question are known to use extreme force and even rely on property damage that put civilians at risk to capture or kill their foes. Even to the point of blaming it on their targets. Despite clear evidence to the contrary. They've also taken bribes from villains to be let go, and staged a few fake heroic scenes. The HAB member they're paying off is known for covering up such things and other not so heroic acts from heroes. So it's a prime target. They use their sidekicks to escort the van. The one assigned to this one is Fletcher. His quirk allows him to use his fingers and toes as a flogger, stretching them up to fifteen feet and whipping them about with increased durability and force. He also has a stun gun and a Smith and Weston .22 revolver as his gadgets of choice. Route is still iffy though." The rundown was nonchalant and even a bit offhand, startling the group.
They looked at Ronin then, with Pulse bristling visibly. "And how the hell did you find that out?"
"Vanish and I double teamed in checking it out. A little basic research, a bluetooth enabled flash drive, and some acting can go a long ways. Vanish had an idea as to how Ronin did her most recent heist, and suspected who it was after some hard thinking." Oni continued his work, amused by the crew.

The rest of the crew was far more cooperative, Ronin noted as they did as she asked. She gave each of them a slight bow of her head as they introduced themselves in turn. Now she had a name for each face... or mask rather, and she did her best to remember their voices so that she'd be able to match them up when they swapped to comms later on. As instructed, the one called Kraken proceeded to describe the specifics of the mission and the intel they'd managed to scrape together, which.... wasn't much at all. The job itself seemed simple; intercept the truck and seize the cargo. But as Chomper pointed out the potential drop off points the issue became obviously clear. They hadn't managed to narrow down the path the truck would take beyond what was just a hunch as far as she could tell, and the potential area to cover was huge. Not only that, they didn't have any hard information about the escort or the cargo itself. A C was definitely being generous, if that was all the info they had then Ronin wasn't sure she would have even bothered trying to salvage the mission... but luckily Oni had a bit more to add. Although it seemed he didn't have anything to narrow down the area, he was at least able to provide some missing info about the target's defenses. "Fletcher... I think I've heard of him. Hotshot grad from Shiketsu, pretty green and probably has a chip on his shoulder about being second best." Most of the heroes that came from that school did. That meant that he'd likely be more prone to being reckless, which could be either useful or dangerous, depending on the situation. The fact that he carried around some heat was definitely concerning... they'd have to account for that. Oni's last comment made Ronin raise an eyebrow as the attention turned back to her. Had one of them been in the area when she'd been scouting her last job? Had they already seen her face? She didn't recall seeing anyone that was even the right age range... maybe they deserved more credit than she'd given them. While that revelation was slightly concerning, she didn't let it show outwardly, simply nodding in agreement with the captain's assessment. "Make yourself look unimportant and wear an innocent face, you'd be surprised how many doors you can get through." If the transfer was only a few days away, they didn't have all that much time to get more intel. There was a chance of course, but she wasn't about to gamble a whole operation on getting more information that may or may not even exist. If they couldn't get anything else did they have enough that they could still pull this off? Ronin brought a hand up to her chin as she scanned over the map in front of her. They knew where the truck was starting and that it would end up in one of two places. Normally it'd be a simple solution; cargo was most vulnerable when it was being transferred to or from a vehicle, but given that this particular hand-off would be happening at a hero agency building it was a bit too risky to try with their numbers. No, they'd definitely have to hit this one while it was in transit. "...If we don't get any more intel to narrow down the route, we'll just have to be a bit pro-active about it." Her finger traced over the map as she recalled the scouting she'd done in the area that evening. "There's construction on this street, so they won't be able to fit a truck through there. There's not enough traffic this late for that to be a defining factor either so... If we can block off access to this street, and this street-" She tapped two branches of the potential routes, one right next to the construction and another a few blocks down. "Then we can be sure that they'll have to pass through one of these no matter which drop off point they're heading for." She shifted her finger to highlight a pair of adjacent streets that ran over the river, and a third farther away that was on the very edge of the area of operations. "We'd have to shift the ambush depending on which path they take, but if we have someone running overwatch on a building by this intersection and have everyone else standing by over by that lot, I think we'd have enough time to still intercept the target on every route." As much as she would have liked to narrow down the route to a single point that they'd have to pass through, there was only so much that they could get away with without it starting to seem too suspicious. A broken fire hydrant on one corner and a downed street light on another would just seem like bad luck, every single road being blocked off by an accident would clearly be deliberate. "We'd need water for your quirks to have the best chance at this, so we'll have to take them either on these two bridges, or at this intersection beneath the water tower." the girl concluded, once again tapping the relevant spots on the map before crossing her arms and looking up at the crew again. "That's my take anyway. Anyone else have something they want to add?"{---Charges---}Storing: Constitution, Strength, Agility Burning: None Change: +3 Total: 18

"And with Vanish's looks, that's quite easy to do." He continued his work as he started to find something about the people involved in this tape that their recruit got. But was very approving of the idea of being pro-active.
Kraken piped up though. "There's a reason I carry water bottles on me, so the presence of water from other sources isn't necessary. Akuma says leave as little to chance as possible, if you need something for your skills or quirk to shine, bring it with you at all times."
"I can narrow down a couple of routes through this fire hydrant and a water line here. Mine and Pulse's quirks are definitely more for support. I can also stop a vehicle by freezing the gas inside their tanks. Though...the water tower brings some ideas..."
"Chomping down a stop light is easy enough. Same with collapsing the water tower and busting it wide open. The van goes in four days, so there isn't a lot of time, but still some we can use to do something with."
"I'm not too convinced. Glad everyone else is so gung-ho though..."
It was this point that Kraken actually glared at Pulse. "You've been so on and off on this, and you even told us of this little event in the first place! Are you holding something back, Pulse? What the hell is your problem?!"
The college aged kid scoffed and crossed his arms. "I didn't have too much of a problem until Akuma siced this mongrel with us. We don't know her. We don't know Chomper either, but he at least offered his services to us, unlike her, who had to be recruited! And by who? The silent enforcer of the group! Come on, how can we trust that..."
"Same way as we trusted Akuma. He values certain people more, that's why when we were attacked by UA students, the three of us were sent off first, and he, Oni, and Vanish took them on. They stuck their necks out for us. And did what they could to help the ones they couldn't protect. The same way that Akuma conducted our gang war. That was a bit of a landslide victory, don't you think? Have some faith."
"I don't have that much faith. Let alone in some little girl who calls herself a roaming warrior just because she holds a sword in her hands..."[/clor] He glared at both Kraken and Ronin, daring them to make a move.

Ronin gave a nod as Kraken and Mist mentioned how their quirks usually operate. It more or less fell in line with what she'd assumed from Akuma's description of the crew, but she had a few ideas of her own about how they could make use of their abilities in particular. "Just stopping a truck is certainly useful, but if we can manage to encase the whole thing, we could potentially trap the escorts inside and remove them from play. I figure you two working together can probably manage that, but you'd probably need more water than you carry in your bottles, hence the extra water sources." She explained before turning to Chomper. The boy seemed to be confident enough that he could handle the sabotage portion, and given his abilities he'd probably make the best choice for the job. She'd keep that in mind when they got to finalizing things, but for now they had to see what else could be done to improve there odds. Folding her arms again, Ronin shot a glance back toward Oni as he continued working through the footage she'd found. It looked like he might have finally found something of interest in there, but as curious as she was about the hard drive this job had priority for now. "How much do we know about their previous transfers? It sounds like they've been going on for awhile now, It's probably worth looking for any patterns we can find to try and figure out which of our paths is most likely. Beyond trying to narrow the options down... I imagine a hero agency this small probably uses the same truck every time. If we can get our hands on it before the delivery we can plant a tracker and maybe even give it a bit of 'maintenance' for an extra edge..."As Ronin continued trying to come up with more ideas for preparations they could make, she found her train of thought interrupted by one member of the crew making his dissatisfaction known. On one hand, she could understand Pulse's distrust of a new recruit, and she might have even respected that sort of pragmatism if it didn't come along with such blatantly unprofessional behavior. "Petty insults now? Charming." She rolled her eyes at the outburst and then glanced over toward Kraken. "Am I to assume he's always like this after all?" Part of his hostility appeared to be from internal politics of the gang; evidently he had some issues with Vanish which were being transferred onto her by proxy. It was the sort of thing that she wouldn't have normally cared about in a social setting, but because she was supposed to be leading these people she couldn't just ignore it. Even one person not following instructions could completely screw them over during an operation. Stepping out from behind the table, Ronin leveled a cold stare at the man as she resolved to take care of this little issue here and now. "Since you seem to think you have such a solid understanding of things, I assume you think you should be the one in charge then? I'll tell you what Pulse, if you can beat this 'little girl' in fight, I'll hand over the position with no fuss, I'll follow your lead and even give you half of my share at the end. But if I win you have to do what I say on this job. No complaints, no talking back. Deal?"{---Charges---}Storing: Constitution, Strength, Agility Burning: None Change: +3 Total: 21

The crew, except for Pulse, nodded. That would be nice. Even better if they had someone with a powerful ranged quirk. There was more questions that they didn't have the answer to. But things came to a head. Ronin responded to Pulse in kind. After a roll of the eyes, Pulse was glaring daggers at her. Kraken spoke up as well. "Yes. He's still acting like a child after getting his ass beaten by Vanish. Frankly, he's lucky that the little tyke didn't break his limbs or worse."
"I'm not acting like a child!"
"Whatever, sore loser." Chomper, for his part, was just backing away, highly amused. Even more so when Ronin stepped up. This also caught Oni's attention.
"Deal. But no weapons. Leave the sword and anything else you have." Pulse didn't even hesitate.
Oni, however, did step up. "Leave your baton. I know you keep one in your right boot. And a stun gun behind your back, leave that too." Pulse glared at the man, but did as he was told.
He took position away from the crew and was ready for a brawl. The fight didn't last long. Huffing, and puffing, he got up, sulkily. Having been thrown on the ground four times, and beaten, he wasn't going to be able to win. And conceded. Again, sulkily, and rubbing his throat where she stomped on it, even coughing a bit, Pulse walked over to the map.
"I was holding things back. A lot of things back. I work there as a maintenance guy and loader and unloader. I recently got promoted, hence got chosen to do this times route. Problem is, they don't tell us what route they're going to use, it's very much by the seat of their pants. To make it worse...they take your cell phone, get frisked, and checked for any electronic devices. There's usually three to four people. Three workers and the escort at most. The building is confirmed. You're right though, that it is the same vehicle every time. I'm good with my hands and with vehicles, so I'm often the one to check it, but the issue is trying to hide the tracker on it and there's no guarantee that I'll be the one to check it that day. They do sweeps on it everyday. Although...if there is a tracker that is disguised as an ear-ring, if you got that kind of thing..."
Raising an eyebrow, Kraken piped up. "We're going to know what you really look like, you know."
"Yeah, well, these guys are scum, so, well worth it if four chumps know what I really look like...and potentially my name."
