It really did just look like a run down shack from a distance, but appearances could be deceiving. This quant little ramen shop saw quite a bit of traffic, especially in the evening hours. Part of that was due to the fact that it had some prime real estate, right along the riverside just over a block away from UA. That was probably why it was almost always packed when dinner time hit, the fact that the food was pretty good was just a bonus for the people grabbing a bowl on their way home from work. Of course, that wasn't the only reason why the shop saw so much business. Outside of peak hours the place tended to attract some... more unusual clientele. Despite being much smaller in volume, this was where the shop made most of it's money, and it's why the place's fame had spread even to other cities.
***
Sora had always thought it was a silly name. "Rin Rin Ramen". She didn't know if the current owner is even the one that named it, or if he'd just kept it when he 'acquired' the place. Of course the bigger question was how that shady bastard had even gotten his hands on the deed to begin with. She'd tried asking him about that before, about how a random immigrant with no tracible history managed to convince someone to sell such a high value property. He'd said something in Russian, but that wasn't exactly a language she had a lot of practice with. Something about a delivery service? Whatever, hadn't made any sense then, didn't make any now.
As the redhead approached the stand the streetlights overhead were just starting to flick on, banishing the shadows that crept in just as the last rays of sunlight faded. She was dressed casually, with a grey tank top and a pair of black capris. Her fiery red hair was tried back in a tight braid and she had a small camouflage duffle bag slung across her back. All things considered she looked... well, normal, which wasn't always easy for Sora. It wasn't uncommon for her to show up with torn up clothes or the odd bloodstain when she was out and about. Work was interesting like that sometimes. Ever since she'd put down Seto though, things had been pretty quiet. And without the gang boss or the stolen weapons to occupy her attention, it was time to get back to more important tasks.
Walking onto the shop's covered patio, Sora noted that there were a handful of patrons still enjoying their meals. The four picnic tables each had one or two people sitting at them, and there were two more sitting at the counter. The former hero picked her way through the tables and took one of the seats at the far end of the bar, dropping off her bag on the ground beside her. "You're in early today." Just on the other side of the counter stood a man with shaggy grey-blonde hair and an eyepatch covering the left side of his face. He didn't even offer a glance in Sora's direction as he stirred the steaming pot in front of him. "You know how it is Vik, Not a whole lot t' be done with th' last job all clean'd up." Viktor Korzhakov had only been in this country for about two years, but in that time he'd made a name for himself in the more grey parts of society as a guy who knows things. He'd been instrumental in hunting Seto down and finally getting some pay back, and now he was helping the former hero with another matter. "So, 'bout that thing I asked ya 'bout..." That one finally earned her a hard glare as the owner looked up from his pot. "Cool it Ari, still got customers here, so please: have a bowl and shut the hell up for a little while." He punctuated the warning by pouring out some of the pot's contents into a bowl and sliding it in front of her.
"Shio, eh? Y'know this stuff ain't been quite as good th' last month or so. What'sat 'bout?" Viktor gave a shrug as he poured out a cup of sake and passed it along as well. "The kid that I hired hasn't been around lately, been having to do it all my self again." Sora snorted and reached for a pair of chopsticks from behind the counter. "That 'splains a lot, half a' this menu was right rubbish 'fore ya brought him on. Lad really deserves a raise, don't he?" Viktor rolled his eye at the jab and promptly proceeded to ignore Sora, turning back to the kitchen when one of the other patrons requested another bowl. The redhead took the hint and split apart her chopsticks before going to work on her 'free' meal. Evidentially she had some time to kill before they could get down to business, she'd just have to find something to entertain herself in the mean time.

There was an odd sound running through the streets, one that caught several people off guard; the simple sound of tires meeting asphalt. It wasn’t an unusual sound, but it was normally accompanied by the roar of an engine powering the vehicle making contact with the asphalt, which was startlingly missing from this particular vehicle. That was because Rowan was riding her motorcycle which just so happened to be an electric-powered machine, which made almost no noise when it was being operated, despite being extremely quick and agile. The black motorcycle had lime-green streaks as decals across its frame, and it wasn’t long before she closed the distance between her home and the Ramen shop she had recently heard about. Upon looking it up online, this shop was known far and wide even though it was only a ‘hole-in-the-wall’ type place. Rowan loved supporting little ‘mom-and-pop’ resturaunts, and she was always trying to find new things to try food-wise, so she decided to pay the place a visit. She was in her form that was most suited for this, being her normal pink-skinned form with a black one-piece demin outfit that showed off her arms and shoulders, her long, wild white hair dancing in the wind. She didn’t need to worry much about car-crashes… she had never been hurt by physical objects in her entire life, so a helmet would just obstruct her view. Her tail whipped in the wind behind her, twitching excitedly as she got close, slipping into a parking spot nearby that only her motorcycle could fit in, propping it on the kickstand, and walking to the shop. Upon entering, she smiled wide; it wasn’t too busy yet, which was definitely a bonus, because she came hungry, and approached the bar. It would reduce the time it took to get her food if the person delivering it to her was close by instead of needing to weasel their way through the resturaunt, and she flashed the owner a smile, incidentally showing off her elongated cuspids. If there was one major benefit of today’s day and age, it was that her pink skin, tail and other odd body features would likely draw less attention than the generous curvature that her body possessed, but that wasn’t really a concern to begin with for Rowan. Her mismatched eyes, one red and one blue, locked with the shop-owner, and her tone was friendly as she extended a hand to shake his, if he wanted to. “Hello there. Name’s Aurora. Could I get one of each of your appetizers, entrees and deserts, please?” This was an absolutely massive order, and usually you waited until all of them were done to deliver, so a follow up comment was likely necessary. “As they get prepared is fine. I don’t want to overwhelm you, and I have a few hours, but I want to try everything before you close for the night if possible. I’m a bit of a foodie.” She just hoped Rin Rin Ramen could keep up with her literally endless appetite. The name Aurora, if the owner kept up with online stuff, would be enough to draw a bit of attention. It was the name Rowan used for her online account where she did reviews of food for the masses, critiquing different restaurants of their food and trying to find out not only which place was best, but what their best meals were as well. Now that the order had been placed, the pink woman leaned backwards in her seat a little bit, letting her gaze travel around to the other people. Some were eating on the covered patio, but there was one person nearby who was also seated at the bar, a young woman who looked like she had been through war. Scars and the like were visible… and while she wanted to ask what the deal was with them, she too wasn’t certain that would be a great idea. Rowan herself didn’t like people trying to pry into her own business, so unless she engaged her in conversation, chances were that Rowan would keep to herself.

First thing was first; time to eat. Sora immediately started picking into the bowl of ramen in front of her, slurping up a mouthful of noodles and savoring the salty broth that clung to them. In spite of her jibes, the food here was actually quite good, and it wasn't often that she actually sat down and had a full meal. She could spend hours tinkering with some piece of machinery or refurbishing a weapon, but she had absolutely no patience for cooking. restaurants weren't an option either, since her usual source of income hadn't really been providing much lately either. That tended to happen when you closed shop in order to hunt down a client that stole from you. She should probably reopen soon... the hunt had left her with quite a bit of inventory that she'd have to go through.
As Sora plucked a boiled egg out of the broth, the sound of a soft hum and tires on pavement drew her attention. A glance to the side revealed a pink skinned woman with a tail climbing off a motorcycle and approaching the shop. The red head could appreciate the electric engines that most modern vehicles used, they certainly were fast, had the sort of acceleration that was almost perfect for racing around a city, and yet... their vintage gas powered counterparts were far more fun to tinker with. There was only so much you could do with batteries and capacitors. Speaking of which... wasn't there an old bike back at the shop she could play with? She chomped thoughtfully on the last of the egg as she tried to remember whether it was that bike or a different one that she'd hurled at a disagreeable customer...
When the new arrival approached the counter, she first introduced herself, which was odd enough, but the proceeded to make a frankly ridiculous request. Viktor didn't shake the outstretched hand or even say a word, simply staring at the odd women and blinking slowly for several long seconds. Eventually the owner simply turned around with a shrug and a shake of his head and went to grab some bowls. Sora couldn't help but snicker at the usually stoic Russian's reaction. "Think ya mighta' broken 'im lass." It wasn't the order itself that was so strange, after all there were plenty of quirks that made people have larger than normal appetites, but the way she'd made it felt completely out of place. Of course neither of them were at all familiar with the name Aurora, but it seemed a few of the other patrons were and made some hushed comments among themselves.
While Viktor prepared another bowl of shio, Sora simply went back to eating, at least until she noticed the woman looking at her a few seconds later. She glanced over in turn and her emerald eyes scanned Aurora for a brief second before she raised an eyebrow. "Have we met before? Somethin' 'bout you seems a might familiar..." The woman had a rather unique appearance, and an attractive one at that, so it was hard to imagine forgetting a meeting, but with Sora's track record for memory anything was possible. She made a habit of asking just about everyone she met, just to make sure there wasn't some forgotten score to settle that she'd have to deal with.

Rowan, normally, would have been perturbed by the fact that the person working there wasn’t willing to at least respond properly to the introduction and such, but it wasn’t a big deal to her. As per usual when she did this sort of thing, she would be posting it all in her review, with everything accounted for. There was a reason she was accredited through Google Reviews as a certified Critic when it came to food, and it was because she always made sure to include all the details so that the people who read them would have an accurate snapshot of what to expect. Her mismatched eyes shifted though when the other woman at the bar addressed her, speaking on the man’s behalf and causing her to blink. “Oh? I suppose me ordering literally everything could be a little overwhelming…” she finished with a gentle giggle and a bit of a smirk.
Her comment about knowing who she was brought a gentle nod and a shrug, “I don’t think so but... not a ton of people run around with this look… but you could know me from my Google Food Reviews if you follow any of that sort of thing. I do post a profile picture on there. I just hope this place is as good as the others. I love trying new things.” She gave him another sharp smile, and she turned and looked the place over. The environment of a place when you were judging how good it was to eat there was important for some people, so she took a moment to take in the look of the restaurant and made mental notes of what she would say in her review. She knew for a fact that she had never met the young woman at the bar, her eidetic memory truly coming in handy for situations like this where she needed to recall something from her past. Sometimes it was a curse though, as there was a certain level of detail she wished she could forget from certain events, and she remembered everything from the time she woke up after her Quirk manifested. It was a bit much sometimes.
But since the redhead had engaged her in conversation, it might as well be continued in order to entertain the pink-skinned woman while she waited for her food. “So, what do they call you, Red?” she asked, smirking at the nickname she had given the woman for the moment until she got a real name. Leaning back in her stool, she propped her arms up on the counter, which only emphasized her chest a little bit more as her tail came around, slipping into her pocket and fishing out her phone, pulling it up and setting it on the counter. She could take the pictures she needed to in a bit; some engaging conversation would be fun for now, and she wasn’t the type to be rude and play on her phone while she was talking with someone. She hated those types of people who didn’t show other human beings the respect of proper conversation.

Sora cocked her head to the side and tapped her fingers against the counter thoughtfully. A food critic? That certainly didn't fit the mold for the people that the red head tended to deal with. Now if she said street thug or revolutionary, those would make far more sense.... did either of those count as professions actually? Sora shook her head. "Nah, that don't sound right. Not a lot a' time for that stuff in my sort a' work... Come t' think of it, must be thinkin' of a customer... " She paused for a second as her her tilted ever further to the side, as though trying to physically shift the memory into place. "Then again... they was blue... an' ten feet tall... an' a bloke. Had a tail though." She gave a nonchalant shrug to drop the subject before taking a sip of her sake and continuing on as though the odd exchange had never happened.
"Food critic though, eh? Well, ain't got much t' worry 'bout here. Vik's a right grouch sometimes, but th' grub's always good." She delivered the second little jab just as the bulky Russian man finished adding the toppings to a bowl of shio and slid it across the counter to where Aurora was sitting. Again the man pointedly ignored the former hero with a shake of his head, instead offering the proclaimed food critic a pair of chopsticks and a glass of sake of her own. "It's the tail end of the dinner rush, so we don't have a whole lot of stock left, but I can give you what I've got." He explained, moving one of the empty pots off the counter and then starting to prepare another bowl, this time using Shoyu broth.
Sora picked at her noodles idly with her chopsticks as Aurora turned the conversation toward her. "Good guess." She shot the woman an amused smirk. "Depends on who "they" are, 'cause they call me all sorts a' things. This lot calls me Ari, but It don't mind me any at all, S' pick whatever ya fancy." That was to say that her own name escaped her often enough that she'd accumulated quite a number of nicknames, though she forgot them just as often, at least until someone actually used one. "Red" was a common favorite it seemed, not that it bothered Sora any, she had a very good friend that called her that. Where'd she go again? Sora mused, searching for the memory as she twisted up another bunch of noodles on her chopsticks and took a bite.

Rowan smiled as the conversation progressed, but the bit about her ‘work’ seemed to pique her interest more than being confused for some blue ten foot man. “And what sort of work are you into? I have run into and become friends with all types of people.” There was some hidden meaning to those particular words, and if she was keen enough, she would pick up that ‘Aurora’ was referring to some legal, and some illegal, friends that she had made. Hell, she fit most of those categories with the various personas she had obtained. She could fit into just about any role with them, but ‘Red’ would have no way of knowing that much, and she also left the comment regarding the quality of the food unanswered for the moment. She would be the judge of that.
The first bit of food arrived, and the pink-skinned woman’s eyes opened in delight, pulling a phone out of her pocket using her tail to get the proper angle and taking a quick photo of the dish. Presentation was important to some people, and that made it important to properly represent that to her audience. “I understand, just whatever you can manage. This smells divine...” she said almost seductively, then grabbing the chopsticks and twirling them in her hand for a moment before beginning to partake in the food, her tail gentle setting the phone on the counter.
Hearing her state that the white-haired woman had been on the mark with the little nickname she had chosen herself made the pink-skinned woman smirk, taking a moment to swallow before commenting on the actual name given. “It is nice to meet you Ari.” It only took a few more moments before the bowl was empty and the broth was drank, causing her extra-long tongue to take a moment and lick her own face of any excess that she might otherwise have missed. Her tongue was easily several inches longer than normal, and that was only if she had shown its length in its entirety. ‘Aurora’ took a moment to write down some notes and attach it to the picture for her review later, and then turned towards Ari while she waited for whatever came next. “You don’t have to be a stranger. I don’t bite…” she teased, glancing at the seat next to her and waiting for her to either come sit with her or decline.

Sora blinked, looking blankly at Aurora as she was part-way through getting another mouthful of noodles down, almost like she was surprised that the topic of her work was brought up... Despite her being the one to do so. Gulping down the rest of her bite, she tapped her chopsticks against the rim of her bowl. What was the word for what she did again? "s'it.... Engineerin'? Manufacturin'? Distribution? Marketeerin'? Nah, that don't sound right... Eh, whatever." She shrugged. "I make shit and I sells it to anyone what's buyin'." Seemingly satisfied with the rather crass and particularly undescriptive answer, the red head went to pick up her bowl and take a sip of the broth. She stopped short however when she saw Aurora start to dig into her own food. Sora could really put away food and drink if she wanted, but there was no way she could compete with that. She raised an eyebrow with an amused expression as the woman proceeded to lick the bowl clean, lowering her own just to say: "A pleasure indeed, miss Aurora." With a slight shake of the head and a soft chuckle, she resumed her own meal, raising up her bowl and stuffing one more bunch of noodles into her mouth before taking a long draw of the salty broth to wash it down.
After setting the emptied vessel back down with a contented sigh, Sora glanced sideways at her new acquaintance's remark. She offered a shrug and grabbed her sake glass before shifting over a seat to take the spot beside Aurora. The woman was certainly attractive and she seemed like pleasant enough company. Not a bad way to spend an evening, at the very least it seemed like she'd be entertained while she waited for the shop to clear out. As the former hero went to take a drink of sake however, she found only scant drops left in the bottom of the glass. With a frown she set it back down and pushed it across the counter. "Oi Vik, you got anythin' else on tap t'night?"
"Nothing for free, and I'm definitely not letting you open up another tab after last time."
"C'mon mate, we both know I paid ya back, 'sides, I can pay this time, brought a bit extra with me."
The owner snorted, still keeping his back turned even as he spoke. "You better. Fine, I'll get you a bottle after I finish this order."
Sora grinned, leaning back on her stool and throwing her arms up in celebration before swinging back to rest her arms against the counter and glancing toward Aurora. "What about you lass? cravin' anythin' with a bit a' bite this evenin'?"

Rowan giggled a bit at the young woman's job description, enjoying the accent that went along with it, but her interest was piqued yet again. "I would be interested in seeing your wares. I happen to also be a collector of sorts." The best lies were truths, carefully worded. Not a word that she had said thus far was untrue, and yet it never revealed the whole truth, and likely never would. Finished completely with everything in front of her and awaiting the next batch of food and drink, Aurora leaned back, only emphasizing her curvature a bit more as she leaned up against the bar, still engaged in conversation. The words regarding the alcoholic beverages and wanting something with a bit more bite made her give a wide smile, showing off her elongated and sharp cuspids. Quietly, she waited until the host was facing her and pulled a small stack of bills out of her shirt, sliding them to him discretely.
"I'm buying. I like supporting local small businesses." It was more than enough to cover her own bill, Sora's bill, and just about anything he had to offer drink wise twice over. Looking back towards the redhead and still smiling, it looked almost predatory now. "And no offense, but I doubt you could handle anything I consider to 'have bite'." This was only emphasized by the smile she bore with the sharp teeth she was showing, and there was a tint of seductive nature to it as well. This was carefully timed and placed, as this was transforming from a simple coincidental meeting to a possible impromptu date. She wasn't sure how seriously she should take it either, but that was something that time would reveal. Sora certainly seemed like someone who could be fun to hang out with, at a minimum.

Sora scratched her head a bit at her companion's continued interest in her career choice. It wasn't as if she was shy about the subject though, far from it. The redhead just wasn't the greatest at explaining things. "Can show ya 'round the th' shop if ya like, but ain't much t' be seen in terms a' stock." The inside of her workshop was almost always full of stuff, but she didn't exactly consider most of it to be merchandise. It was simply a mass of projects in various states of completion, most left forgotten until random chance brings her back to it or a customer expresses interest. "Mostly deal in requests an' orders an' th' like, s' if ya got somethin' particular in mind, I'm sure I could accommodate a 'collector' like yerself." Sora offered with a grin.
About that time Viktor was finishing up the second part of Aurora's order, adding the last of the toppings before ferrying the bowl of Shoyu over to the counter. And then Aurora said the magic words. Good looking, good humored, and offering free drinks; Sora was really starting to like this girl. The red head offered a toothy grin of her own at Aurora's challenge. "Ya might be surprised love, but sounds like 'tween the two a' us you're gettin' clean'd out t'night Vik." Although she didn't know anything about her new friend's constitution, Sora's quirk made it so that it was near impossible for her to actually get drunk, not that it stopped her from trying. This fact was something that the shop owner was well aware of from past experiences with the vigilante, and so he raised an eyebrow at this charitable new patron as if to ask "Do you know what you're getting into?" After a moment he just shrugged and pocketed the cash anyway, carrying away her empty bowl before ducking beneath the counter.
When he reappeared, Viktor set down a pair of glasses in front of the two along with a bottle of 20 year old single malt whiskey. He had been planning to just give Sora some of the Vodka he imported from his homeland, but if the lady was willing to pay he had no problems breaking out the top shelf stuff. Inspecting the bottle, Sora gave a low whistle of appreciation before going to break the seal. She proceeded to pour out a pair of glasses, passing one over to Aurora before taking up her own and swirling it about a little. "Got anythin' worth raisin' a glass for this fine evenin'?" She asked, following tradition by waiting for a proper toast before partaking in the drink.

Aurora tilted her head slightly, causing her wild mane of white hair to cascade sideways a bit, in response to the young woman not having ‘much in stock’, but her interest was renewed at the idea that she dealt with a lot of custom orders. “I’d like that. I’m certain after seeing some examples of your handiwork, some ideas will present themselves…” she said, an almost seductive tone to her voice as she turned her attention back to her incoming food, once again taking a picture of it before working on tasting it. It didn’t take long for her to complete the meal and was barely a distraction for the pink-skinned woman having the conversation with the friendly redhead. The barkeep asking if she knew what she was getting into made her smile widely, showing off her slightly longer and quite sharp cuspids. “Don’t you worry about me now… might want to be more concerned about your stock of food and drink in case I decide to visit here again. More where that came from.” The roll of bills easily would cover the tab, but more so, he was being enticed that he could earn quite a bit more if he played his cards right.
When he reappeared with the pair of glasses and the malt whiskey, her eyes lit up just a bit, and her smile widened once more, almost hungrily like a predator eyeing some fresh meat. She allowed Sora to do the honors of pouring their glasses, and then smirked as he proposed that she come up with the idea of a toast. “To new friends, a new place to hang out, and possibly new business opportunities. May we be successful in all fronts.” With that, she clinked glasses with the redhead and downed her glass entirely in a single go, even going so far as to let the taste roll around in her mouth a little bit before downing it, instead of getting it directly down her throat so the extreme bitterness didn’t bite her. Obviously, she was less than concerned about that facet of the alcohol.
Turning towards their host, she smiled. “Good year. You have good tastes.” Turning back towards Sora, and deciding that she was feeling playful at the moment, Aurora let her tail go across and snake behind the redhead, and almost as though she were casually placing her hand across the woman’s shoulders, slip behind her rump and come to rest on the woman’s opposite thigh. It wasn’t a strong pressure at all, like she was trying to pull her closer, more just simply being present, the tip of the tail happily wiggling in her lap.

"I can drink t' that." Sora grinned, finishing off the toast with the oh so familiar chime of glass hitting glass. She immediately knocked back a solid mouthful, taking a moment to make sure she could fully sample the taste before swallowing it down. It was a rich, smokey flavor that seemed to have the faintest hint of fruit lingering on the edge... Frankly far better than anything Sora was accustomed to having on the regular. As she finished the initial sample however and began to lower her drink, she noticed that her companion had already completely drained her first glass, leaving the red head with an amused smirk. Not one to be outdone, she followed suit, quickly shooting back the rest and returning her glass to the counter with a contented sigh.
This wasn't the way she usually got new customers in her line of work. More often than not it was in the form of a bunch of thugs or a blatantly shady stranger showing up at the door to her shop, having heard that they could get their hands on some hardware without drawing attention. Advertising wasn't really her thing and other people usually did the job of spreading her reputation, which wasn't always the most ideal. More often than not the idiots got chased away with or without a few new bruises for their trouble. Well, bruises, broken bones, and occasionally the odd gunshot wound. Those that were actually professional about the whole thing were pretty rare, and repeat customers were even more so. If this was what the whole marketing end of the operation was like, maybe she had to reconsider her approach a bit. It had certainly made what promised to be a dull evening far more interesting, a fact that was only reinforced as it seemed her new companion wasn't at all shy about her advances.
As Sora poured out another round for the two of them, she felt a light pull on her waist and couldn't help but chuckle when she glanced down. "Careful love, might give a stranger some ideas 'bout your intentions." The rather direct approach was something that she could appreciate, took all the guess work out of the equation. In spite of her warning, the red head inched closer and started to lean in a bit, giving the woman a playful nudge with her foot. As she did however, something curious happened.
"D-don't move."
As the unfamiliar voice cut in, everything seemed to stop. Sora glanced over her shoulder to see a man standing behind aurora. She'd seen him when she first got to the stand, eating in the corner by himself. Rather scraggly looking thing with an unshaven face and wearing what appeared to be a professional suit that had seen better days, wrinkled and frayed in several spots. He was the sort that most people unconsciously ignored because they don't like looking at the underside of society. Evidently the other customers must have left while Sora and Aurora had been talking, because he was the only other person there at the moment. Probably more to the point though, he was holding a knife up to Aurora's back. It was the sort of situation that most people dreaded encountering, but more than anything it just made the former hero roll her eyes. "Listen mate-"
"S-shut up! J-just shut up and hand over everything you've got. I-I Know you've got money, I already saw it!" The man cut her off, briefly brandishing the knife toward her before returning to press it against the small of her companion's back. "I-I don't want to hurt anyone, j-just hand it over!" The gesture quickly turned Sora's expression to one extreme annoyance as she glared at the man. The look in his eyes was one of clear and obvious desperation, this was someone that had been pushed to the very edge and suddenly saw a way out flash in front of them. In this case, a notably large stack of bills that Aurora had casually produced. It was a shame then, that the red head really couldn't care less about his circumstances, and was more concerned about the fact that an attempted mugging was happening on what was shaping up to be a rather pleasant evening. Her hand that was resting on the counter top tensed, twitching slightly in anticipation. "Ari!" Viktor quietly hissed out a warning at her before she could make her move, stopping her in her tracks. Damn that man really did know her too well... He had rules about doing anything that might draw unwanted attention to his shop, and she had just been about to break all of them. Letting the hand relax she glanced over to Aurora instead, seeing how the woman intended on handling the situation before she went any further.

Aurora smirked as Sora too knocked back her drink, taking a moment to enjoy some more of her food while the redhead refilled both of their glasses and considering the options she had on the table. Her noticing the tug of her tail holding the smaller woman in an odd hug of sorts only made that smirk spread a bit more. “Maybe that’s the point…” she purred, those sharp teeth revealing themselves as a hungry, almost predatory smile presented itself as Sora leaned in a little bit and nudged her with a foot. Her smile vanished instantly as an unfortunately all too familiar phrase was spoken when Aurora was having her fun, asking her to not move, and her expression lost all sorts of amusement but didn’t look frightened in the slightest.
A knife? Really?
Aurora held up a single hand towards Sora, and glanced towards the barkeep, giving him a small reassuring smile. With a movement that was faster than the desperate man could react to, the tail that had been hugging Sora whipped around, wrapping around the man’s arm, and pulling it forcefully towards her, plunging the knife into her own back, right where her spine should have been and squeezed. The man was shocked and let go, but couldn’t get away, Aurora had his arm and was holding tight enough that him getting away was not in the picture. The pink-skinned woman looked back towards Sora for a moment, and the whites of her eyes turned black, her irises red, in the span of a blink, turning her from what appeared to be friendly if a bit weird to demonic in the fraction of a breath.
Aurora turned around, rotating in the swivel seat while still holding the now terrified man and locked eyes with him, her arm reaching back and grabbing the knife still planted in her back and pulling it free, giving Sora a front-row seat to watching not only her pink skin not bleed, but regenerate and seal itself in seconds. Even more impressively, so did her clothing. Pulling the knife around to where the would-be mugger could see it, she all but dragged him forwards and made sure that he was mere inches from her own face. Then she brought the knife upwards, and bit down on it, breaking the blade outright and pulling it into her mouth where loud crunching could be heard for a few seconds before swallowing it down.
“The worst part is… if you had come up and explained your situation and asked? I might have been willing to help you out. I know people all over. I could have helped you beat whatever it is that got you in this situation in the first place and get back on your feet. But since you decided you wanted to be rude, and try to rob me… that’s off the table. All that’s left is deciding what to do with you.” Her words were cold, losing all that warmth and kindness she had been showing to Sora and Viktor, and her very aura seemed to emanate bloodlust and quietly controlled rage. This was one of the reasons that she used so many Personas though; times like this that if she wasn’t so able to simply vanish could come back and bite her. The man in her grasp was in complete terror, but with a deep breath and a sigh, her eyes returned to her normal human-looking blue and white.
“I don’t know what happened to you, but if you truly want to help and don’t want to hurt anyone…” she started, turning and grabbing a napkin and jotting down an address. “Go here and ask for a woman named Jericho. They will see what they can do, but you will earn it, not take it. Understood?” The words were still cold, still very much a threat, but they sounded less like Aurora was planning to simply tear his head from his shoulders and put it on a pike, and more like she was simply disappointed. She forced the napkin in the hand that she had captured, and then the tail loosened and released him. “Now leave. You are making the food taste bad. Before I change my mind.” The man nodded and bolted out of the door, leaving them to just the three of them, and Aurora swiveled back around to face Viktor first. “Sorry about that. Didn’t mean to make any trouble. I can leave, if you’d like,” she started, taking a breath and turning towards Sora finally.
“Apologies Ari... sort of ruined the mood didn't he?” she asked, giving a small smile and looking to see what Sora’s reaction was to all of this.

Evidently any questions that Sora might have had about her new companion's ability to deal with the situation were quite unwarranted. In an instant the tables turned. Sora felt the gentle squeeze of Aurora's tail vanish and the limb immediately seized the would-be mugger's arm before forcefully tugging the weapon into her back. Given the woman's initial reaction to the interruption and the fact that the maneuver seemed perfectly intentional, the vigilante found herself simply leaning back and watching on in appreciation at the unfolding spectacle. Credit where credit's due, her new friend seemed perfectly capable of taking care of herself. Sora especially enjoyed the extra bit of theatre that she threw in on top, eating the weapon to make sure that her assailant truly had the fear of god put into them.
What happened after that however, was perhaps even more unexpected. A sense of hostility and bloodlust that the redhead was intimately familiar with hung in the air, but... Rather than fully putting the man in his place, apprehending him or breaking him altogether, the woman in fact seemed to offer a bit of charity. Not a punishment, but a brief rebuke and an address and a set of instructions given that could potentially help get the man back on his feet. The idea was one that seemed almost foreign to Sora... Had there ever been a point in her life when she would have been willing to extend such a gesture of goodwill to someone who had strayed so far from the path? ...Maybe there had been, but the person who could have done that was almost unrecognizable from the one sitting at the bar; even if only a few years had passed since then it might as well have been an entire lifetime away.
As the man scrambled away and Aurora turned to apologize to the bar keep, Viktor simply waved it off. "Nah, you're fine. Better than anything this idiot would have done." He gestured toward Sora as he went back to preparing one last bowl for the woman like nothing had happened. Sora simply smirked at the remark and gave a half-hearted shrug. "Guilty." She confirmed, giving a flex of the hand that still sat on the counter-top by way of demonstration. As the muscles tensed the limb seemed to shimmer for a second, dozens of gleaming knife blades rising from her skin to form a scale-like coating before sinking back and returning to normal. "...And that's why you're not allowed here during the day." Viktor added, causing Sora to turn to Aurora with an expression of feigned innocence.
"Don't you worry, love." The red head replied with a soft chuckle as her companion apologized again. "Think I might know just th' way t' get us back on track." She gave a broad grin as she took her whiskey and raised it again. "Cheers." After shooting the glass back, Sora made sure both of them were topped off again before pushing the conversation in a way to sate some of her new curiosity regarding her companion. After that little display, her interest was certainly peaked. "That was a nice trick by th' way. Got any other bit's a' magic ya been keepin' tucked away?"

Aurora smiled gratefully to Viktor as he claimed that she could stay and simply went back to making more food for her, chuckling lightly as he commented about what Ari would have tried to pull if she hadn’t handled it the way that she did, and once more as she admitted that it was true. Her mismatched eyes watched the demonstration of the blades that she could emit, noting that they looked much like dragon scales in most ways and took a moment to reach out and touch the blades if she allowed it, completely unconcerned with getting cut, but now she knew why the pink-skinned woman was so relaxed about it. Slowly, that long tail once more wrapped around and pulled the redhead closer to her, but this time used the woman’s thigh and rump as the basis, allowing herself to risk just a bit more friendliness than normal in the hopes of rekindling that former feeling that had before they were interrupted.
It seemed that Ari was of the same mind, pouring them yet another drink which the white-haired woman took up almost instantly with a smile, and shot it back at the same time as she did, taking a moment and licking her lips of a drop that had tried to escape. Her tongue was abnormally long and slightly forked, reaching down and grabbing the drip that attempted to flee, having made it halfway down her neck, and licking the entire trail back up until her face was clean. The question was posed if she had any more tricks up her sleeve, to which she gave the woman a wry smile as the tongue receded back into her mouth. “A few… but a girl has to keep her secrets. Can’t just give everything away all at once, can we?” she asked, a playful smirk forming on her face as she answered the questions. The last bowl of ramen arrived, and she quickly snapped her picture, using her hands this time and opting to keep the tail where it was, holding Ari in an odd sort of hug, and then began to eat.
About halfway through, she paused and looked to Viktor. “You can expect a good review, and I definitely will be a return customer, you can count on that.” She then picked up the bowl, downing the last of it carefully so she didn’t make a mess all over herself, and then set it back down with a content sigh and a wide smile on her face. Looking back towards Ari, she took the moment to refill both of their glasses, noting it was getting low. “Might want to find the next bottle soon, we are almost out,” she said idly, this time not losing eye contact with Ari. As soon as he had vanished to the back room, Aurora leaned forward, putting her face only a few inches before the redheads own, a hungry look in her mismatched eyes and a predatory smile on her face.
“So… how do you feel? Anything else you’d like to do tonight?” she asked, putting a not-so-thickly veiled hint on the table, watching her closely for a reaction and licking her teeth beneath her lips.

Sora held out her arm for Aurora to inspect when the woman showed interest in the protruding blades. She likely wouldn't have hesitated even without the new knowledge that her companion was apparently largely immune to a good stabbing. As it turns out, most people are smart enough to recognize something sharp when they see it, and those that get cut have no one but themselves to blame. As the woman inspected the features of her quirk, Sora once again felt the tail wrap around her side, this time moving into a slightly more intimate position than before. She did dodge the question about what else she was capable of, but that wasn't exactly surprising. Most people didn't say more than they had to, shouting off what your abilities were was practically asking someone to figure out your weaknesses. Hardly a great idea when someone had just tried to stick you up. "'Course, got a few a' me own t' save for later too." The red head replied in kind with a grin of her own. When Aurora was done examining the blades, Sora let the metal sink back down and then moved to reciprocate the woman's gesture; slipping the arm behind her back and around her waist. Evidently it didn't take much course correction to get them back to where they were before the attempted mugging.
As Viktor disappeared into the back to check his stocks, Sora turned to meet Aurora's gaze with a knowing look in her emerald eyes. Once again appreciating the woman's forwardness, she chuckled to herself slightly. "Oh, somethin' or 'nother comes t' mind, but I got a... prior engagement what needs my attention first." As much as she was enjoying her time with the intriguing woman, Sora hadn't forgotten why she was there in the first place. A night of fun was all well and good, but this took priority over everything else. Nothing was more important. That being said... "Just a bit 'a business with Vik. 'Course, dependin' on what he has t' say, might still have some free time what needs killin'. If ya don't mind waitin' up a few minutes, might be able t' explore some a' th' night's possibilities." She winked at Aurora and then took another sip from her drink. Damn that stuff was good... it'd be a real shame when she had to swap back to the bottom shelf swill again.
