Kaoru is a bit short for his age, but his dark complexion mixed with broad shoulders adds a charm to it. He doesn't have that chiseled body, or even beach bod as some would put it. However there are some signs of muscle developing around his shoulders and upper chest. There aren't any distinct features on him for Kaoru has no scar or tattoo on his body. For he has not been exposed to any real danger to acquire such scars.
Kaoru’s forearms to his hands is a scaly flesh that has been the result of the electroplaques. Not to mention that his forearms tend to pulse a faint pale blue glow from the electricity stored within his arms. When there’s little to no light, this part of his appearance becomes apparent even if Kaoru wears sleeves over them.
He tends to wear either casual or athletic wear depending on the weather and what he plans on doing. If he plans on working out, or training in some cases, Kaoru will wear athletic clothing from the shirts, shorts, sweatpants, and a pair of running shoes. He prefers to stick to the grey, white, and black coloration when it comes to these types. For casual however, long sleeved shirts are often his go-to choice especially if a hoodie is involved. Otherwise a simple t-shirt or a graphic shirt of some comic or Hero on it would be something he wears as well.

PERSONALITY
LIKES ComicsCats Writing Quirks | DISLIKES SweetsVillains Fire Bad Cooking |
RUMOR/SECRET: | Rumor has it when he was little, Kaoru accidentally overloaded the break box to his house and they had to stay somewhere else because they had no power for a week. |
Kaoru is an introvert when it comes to being social. He can tolerate people or even set aside his own preference to be alone at times. However Kaoru has moments where he just wants to be away from people and be somewhere that’s quiet. Or basically tune everything out while he reads, writes, or dwelling within his thoughts. Otherwise he’s an approachable guy with his warm and carefree demeanor.
Believe it or not, Kaoru is a cat person rather than a dog person. He’s often associated with cats both his own and strays. This is not to say that Kaoru dislikes dogs, but rather he prefers cats over dogs. That said, someone hurting a cat or neglecting its needs is a big trigger for him. Kaoru doesn’t mean neglect as in “separating the cat from the other animals because it keeps getting attacked or attacking other animals.” Rather it’s directed towards starvation, kept in confined spaces for lengthy periods of time, etc. By the same coin, he has a soft spot for the furry creatures.
Comics, whether it be superheroes or villains, is a hobby he tends to keep despite his bodybuilding routine. This is because it helps paint a clear picture of what exactly makes a villain and what makes a hero. What to look for in both sides and determine that really Villains and Heroes are two sides of the same coin. A vicious cycle as Kaoru views it where tragedy, vengeance, redemption, injustice, and corruption takes root in both sides. So while Kaoru personally dislikes villains, he understands that villains weren’t created overnight. Kaoru hopes that one day he’ll write his own comic, but that hope has only gotten as far as writing a script down and nothing more.
Painting, or drawing in this case, is a new hobby that Kaoru picked up in his aspiration to paint a clear figure of both Hero and Villain. As comics will often have both in a story, and as such he has great interest in art in general. Specifically when there’s passion involved with the painting. He is certainly not a professional artist or anything, but it’s something on the side that he picked up in case the Hero thing doesn’t work out.

BACKGROUND HISTORY
PLACE OF BIRTH/HOMETOWN: | Osaka |
PARENTS: | Tivonte Miller (Father) Ra Sun-Mi (Mother) |
SIBLINGS: | Su Miller (Older Brother) Zeva Miller (Older Sister) |
SIGNIFICANT OTHER: | None |
OTHER: | children/pets/whatever |
Kaoru was born into a family that was pretty ordinary as far as childhood goes. He was the youngest out of the three siblings, with Su being the oldest brother. Kaoru looked up to Su with admiration for it was Su that enrolled into UA High and became a pro hero known as Flash. Their father, Tivonte, hailed from Kenya of Africa who was a renowned boxer in his prime. However, Tivonte gave up that career when Su was born and settled in Osaka with his wife named Ra.
Growing up had some interesting events that always occurred with Kaoru and his older siblings. Whether it was to accidentally cause something to overload with energy, moving faster than intended, or accidentally send a remote through the wall. Kaoru and his siblings had quirks related to electricity, although Ra’s quirk proved to be a bit docile compared to Su and himself. However, Kaoru had his fair share of being picked on by other kids when he was younger because of how his quirk made his arms different. Especially the pulsing glow, because kids often find anything to pick apart another just for fun, and at first Kaoru remembered crying as he felt his self-confidence was breaking.
However, Su noticed this bullying taking place, and while Su didn’t have the same modification to his arms like Kaoru did. Su sympathized with the younger brother and after getting Kaoru to talk about what was happening. It was then that Su was determined to help Kaoru learn how to control his quirk. Not to teach the bullies a lesson, or at least that was Su’s intention. For a kid, Kaoru’s quirk was incredibly dangerous to kids due to their lesser resilience, and even as a kid Kaoru’s palms were like living tasers. A fact that was brought to light when Kaoru incidentally incapacitated Su with just a handshake.
The family was quick to pick up on Kaoru’s training regiment and instead of discouraging it. They supported the idea in hopes that Kaoru could either live a normal life as he continued to learn how to control his quirk. Thus he had to learn early on as a child to monitor his diet. Specifically to eat food that had potassium or give electrolytes as Kaoru trained religiously on a daily basis. Tivonte acted as the coach while Su was the supportive older brother. Kaoru gained a better understanding of his quirk overtime as he strived instead of adding power behind it. He went for efficiency instead as the kid grew confident with his quirk.
Kaoru almost got into a bad situation in middle school as the bullying continued and proceeded to grow worse every time. Eventually, Kaoru fought back and gave the ringleader a bloodied nose while bruising the others. Not before he sustained some bruises of his own and even acquired a black eye. This prompted a serious case of whether or not quirks were used in the fight and if the fight could’ve been prevented to begin with. Kaoru had already explained his side of the story, but many did not believe him as they had reports of seeing his arms glow. Even though it was and still something he couldn’t change.
Essentially he got slapped with the law regarding usage of quirks, and so he was taken to a school for delinquents where it was drilled into his mind to not ever use his quirk to harm others. Tivonte took it upon himself to get back into the game so to speak by taking Kaoru to the gym more often. Even go as far as giving Kaoru a diet to follow in order to become an athlete as a normal human being. However, this did not deter Kaoru’s determination into getting enrolled in UA High. A fact that he vocally admitted to his family and teachers. Zeva, who had been in a specialized course in becoming an engineer, aided Kaoru in setting up his hero costume and equipment. Su graduated and became an official Sidekick as he wanted to serve as a better role model for Kaoru.

THE ARMORY
Hero Costume ~ This costume consists of a smoky grey spandex suit equipped with a couple of gadgets. It even comes with a dark hooded cloak that always looks like it was torn around the trims.
Jet-Boots ~ A pair of boots of steel and titanium that have the function to produce concentrated streams of fire to propel the user in whatever direction they wish to go. Granted the jets are directed downward, and of course it is a bit bulky around the calf as gas tanks are protected by titanium. These boots can only be used up to 5 times before the gas tanks need to be refilled.
Omni-Watch ~ An insulated device that appears to be in the shape of a spherical device with only one blue eye. It is an AI assistant that’s either attached to his hip or hovers around him using high powered fans to fly around. The Omni-Watch keeps track of time, date, contacts, voice activations, and essentially everything a phone can do. It is programmed to have a voice so it can speak, and at the same time it can record and play captured audio.
Battle Gloves ~ Not exactly part of the costume as Kaoru often wears this pair of gloves. It has a layer of rubber which keeps his electricity from causing electronics to malfunction upon touch. The fingertips are designed for delicate stuff such as being able to swipe on touch pad or push buttons on a screen without having to take the gloves off. On the palm, back of the hands, knuckles, and around the outer region of his fingers are multiple small plates of titanium that flexes to absorb impact and protect his hands from taking damage to some extent. Additionally, the gloves give his punches an extra power by small degree as it is the metal plates transmitting the kinetic force and not the bare knuckles.

QUIRK & SKILLS
Lightning Clap
TYPE: Emitter
RANK/LEVEL: D+
SUMMARY:
Lightning Clap is an emitter based quirk that caused a permanent, scaly appearance around Kaoru's forearms. Faint pulses of pale blue electricity can be seen underneath this scaled tissue. Of course the scales themselves are actually pretty smooth and supple. Think of his arms equivalent to how electric eels get their name. At his hands from the palms to his knuckles are electrogenic tissue, or basically areas that allow electricity to be discharged. His forearms hold a peculiar system called electroplaques which uses energy or electrolytes within the body to generate and store up to 50,000 volts. Equivalent to a taser.
Much like an eel, there are two types of voltage that Kaoru can use. Low voltage is an option to near passively sense up to 5 meters radius for movement. Much like a spider when something steps in its web, thin lines of pale blue electricity will spark around Kaoru's body when this version is used. When someone steps, turns, or shifts within this field would alert Kaoru of this movement. Because of his efficiency, it doesn't consume as much electrolytes or energy to deter Kaoru.
High voltage, this is where most of Kaoru's offensive moves will come from and unlike low voltage. High voltage consumes energy as it produces a lot of electrical attacks. This electricity tends to be discharged from his hands, but some moves can cause interesting sound effects to mimic the thunderclap. Although not to that extreme of course. Additionally, the voltage can actually be absorbed internally in order to temporarily sharpen Kaoru's reflexes and thought process. Below is a list of explained moves that Kaoru can perform.

Additionally, the voltage can actually be absorbed internally in order to temporarily sharpen Kaoru's reflexes and thought process. Below is a list of explained moves that Kaoru can perform.
[*]Electro-Movement ~ A 5 meter radius of thin pale blue electricity sparks on occasion around Kaoru. Casting a spider web of sorts within the area specifically to detect movement within the radius. This detection causes a harmless reaction that connects to Kaoru's electroplaques which communicates the information to his brain. These strings of electricity have low voltage so other than a notifying spark to the opponent it won't hurt anyone.
[*]Lightning Fist ~ Electricity of high voltage heavily cloaks around the designated hand before it's curled into a fist. This motion condenses the electricity and upon impact on the target. Instead of just shocking the target, it also will knock the target flying as the jolt sends them reeling. The knockback effect is at least 2 meters, up to a maximum of 5 meters upon impact. This move won't stun the target, but it'll still leave a painful jolt including the impact. Cool down: 3 posts.
[*]Overdrive ~ This ability is essentially Kaoru's one trump card. He absorbs the electrical energy from his arms into his neural network. Doing this speeds up his natural reflexes and thought process to a major degree. This doesn't necessarily increase his movement, but rather how quick he reacts to a situation as it unfolds. This includes performing last second dodging or catching something/someone with great reflexes. This also applies to Kaoru’s striking speed as well. Duration: 3 posts. Can only be used once per thread.
WEAKNESSES/LIMITATIONS:
As electricity can be a great asset, it does have some weaknesses regarding conducting and opposing elements. While some metal and water are good conductors, objects that are not good conductors will have the voltage halved, or none at all if it doesn’t conduct anything. Another factor to note is that electricity can be grounded by having conductors rooted into the ground itself. This conducts the electricity into the ground itself which disperses evenly to non-existent. If the ground is saturated or puddles of water are present, at most the voltage would give a harmless jolt assuming the target(s) are directly touching it without any resistance.
Like all Quirks, Kaoru’s Quirk uses up electrolytes and the body’s energy in order to generate bio-electricity within his arms. High voltage requires more energy than low voltage does, so after using any of the high voltage moves more than 5 times of the same hand would cause numbness to the hands. The prickling sensation as if Kaoru’s hands are being repeatedly poked by thousands of invisible needles. This is because the neural system within his hands will begin to become overstimulated which forces the brain to be overwhelmed hence causing numbness to the hands. Kaoru can mitigate this drawback to one hand, but the second his other hand uses 5 high voltages it’ll suffer the same effect. This drawback is temporary at this stage as long as Kaoru refrains from using his Quirk at all for the next 5 posts.
If Kaoru hits this limit again on the same topic, then the consequences become a bit more intense. His hands refuse to respond to the brain as an intense burning sensation will be felt from the tip of his fingers up to his forearms. This is because the neural system around his hands is getting fried from the high voltage and is starting to inflict damage to the nerves. A night’s rest, or basically at the end of the thread with medical attention, can avert any damage before it becomes permanent. The cooldown still applies however, which means that Kaoru can hit his limit for the third time.
The third time is where it not only becomes an excruciating burning sensation throughout his hands, but his nerves become so hot from being fried that they actually begin to burn through his skin. It might look like a cool scar like he got struck by lightning, but in reality it is a permanent reminder that he pushed his Quirk too far. This damage isn’t something that can just be slept on and ignored. His nerves to his hands are fried and will leave permanent damage which means that Kaoru will permanently suffer limited mobility in his hands. He won’t be able to grip onto things like he should, Kaoru won’t be able to close his hands into a fist, etc.[/ul][/div][/div]
Body Builder
RANK/LEVEL: E
SUMMARY:
A skill that was acquired by training on a near daily basis in improving the body. Both in strength and health wise. This doesn't mean that Kaoru can toss cars or block bullets from puncturing his body. He's just slightly stronger than normal humans who don't workout. This includes his lifting, pushing, pulling, and even punching.
