RUMOR/SECRET: | She applied to several Hero Schools, but could never pass the entrance tests |
Perpetually upbeat and sunny, Kazane is usually always the most positive person in the room - a trait which is contrasted to an extreme degree by her mentor and faux father figure Hiso. She isn't necessarily naive or oblivious to life's more unfortunate aspects, but simply chooses to focus on the good and spread it to as many people as she can. Wallowing in pity or sadness is no life at all, and even just illicting a smile can make her day.
Kazane holds a burning passion for helping people in need, to the point where after her failures at a few different Hero Schools, turned to a life of Vigilantism. She respects the law and is a bit upset that she is forced to break it, but a life of sitting still and being barred from making a difference isn't one she will willingly lead.

From her past, it is a wonder how Kazane turned out to be so bright and cheerful. Born to an already strained couple, she was an unwanted addition to the quickly deteriorating family. Never physically harmed, verbal attacks took the place of beatings, her mother by far the harsher of the two. Kazane often turned to extracurricular activities to keep herself occupied and out of her home, scared into silence by the threat of having nowhere to go if she were to 'rat' on her parents. She spent much time at her preferred activity, gymnastics, and more often than not spent the day (and the night) at the homes of close friends. It was, perhaps by that, her sunny attitude was salvaged.
Despite this treatment, she never truly grew to resent either of her caretakers - infact, she nigh felt pity for the broken people they had become. Her father, after all, had recently taken his own life out of guilt which had all but driven her mother to the point of insanity. Less and less time was spent around the volatile woman, to the point where she spent most of her time at a tutors' house - a boy a few years her elder with no qualms about helping her out. Such situations and people were partly responsible for spurring her into the idea of becoming a Hero - a pillar of society entrusted with the responsibility of protecting the people and upholding justice! She certainly had the motivation for it... though at the time, didn't believe her Quirk would be of any use.
Trapped in a stigma of doubt, her basic and blase applications of her Quirk got her nowhere in examinations for Hero Acadmies, and her reality soon turned to having to attend a normal school due to her failures. Discouraged by not deterred, she attempted to find another way to achieve her goals... and just so happened to accidentally stumble upon the small little fact that her caretaker was a Vigilante. A chance encounter and situation thrust this revelation upon her... and she wanted in. His initial answer was, of course, no - but such a word hasn't stopped Kazane before - and it likely never would.
From there, she spent her three years at a 'normal' College Preparation High School, honing her beloved art while learning the ropes of illegal heroism in the background. She has grow highly proficient - and with Hiso's guidance is comparable to even a U.A. student of the same age.

THE ARMORY
Vigilante Costume: A set of slightly revealing, flowing black attire which facilitates maximum mobility. Resistant to tears, it isn't suited for direct defense - rather allowing Kazane full movement of her body for use of her Quirk to do so.
Slim Sword: A blunted, thin strip of steel metal with only a slight cutting edge. Useful for combat.
Smoke Bomb (x2): A palm-sized gray spherical explosive device which produces a thick, billowing cloud of non-harmful smoke upon detonation. Covers about a five by five meter area.
Vigilante's Handcuffs: Modified tools modeled off police gear which is used to subdue Villains. Made out of a specially reinforced titanium alloy, and constricts automatically when someone attempts to slip out of them.
Hair Dye: A hand-sized consumable bottle of temporary dye that lasts up to twenty-four hours, set in a black tone to mask Kazane's typically recognizable hair color.

QUIRK & SKILLS
AIR CANNON
TYPE: Emitter
RANK/LEVEL: C
SUMMARY: Air Cannon allows its' user to to channel and release shockwaves of air from their arms. Though simplistic and straightforward, the highly versatile Quirk is quite useful for offense, defense, and mobility purposes. Able to provide solid strikes, deflect projectiles, and even make use of the recoil upon firing for movement purposes, Kazane trains hard to ensure her Quirk is of actual use.
The shockwave is capable of manifesting in different 'forms' and shapes, depending on the motion of Kazane's arms and hands when releasing it. This can differ from a cylindrical blast of wind to a crescent-like projectile. At her current proficiency, the maximum size of an air blast is about slightly over twice the diameter of her arm and can move objects within three-hundred pounds in a direct blast. This is capable of pushing affected people or objects (at max weight) up to twenty meters away. Lighter objects, ranging around only fifty pounds, can be sent flying up to sixty meters. This force would also feel like an extraordinarily strong physical blow across one's (hit) body in a direct hit, akin to an Olympic weightlifter swinging a baseball bat at you.
WEAKNESSES/LIMITATIONS:
One of the most glaring drawbacks is her complete reliance on having the option to move her arms about. If they were restrained or otherwise removed from her person, she'd essentially be Quirkless.
Her more impactful drawback comes in the form of muscle strain - everytime that she releases a blast, it rebounds on her body and tires her out. Kazane has a 'counter' to keep track of individual uses and cooldown times. She has a maximum counter of '5' (which is used evenly across offense, defense, and mobility), and in every post where she does not use her Quirk she gains one counter back.

GYMNAST
RANK/LEVEL: B+
SUMMARY: A skill Kazane has (and continues to) honed throughout much of her life, it provides both great exercise AND Vigilante usefulness. The practice has made her lithe and limber, capable of contorting her body quickly and moving across high and long gaps and spaces between objectives. Her skill is so great, that she plans to 'officially' become a gymnast through school.
DUELIST
RANK/LEVEL: C-
SUMMARY: A combination fighting style taught to her by Hiso which mixes typical hand-to-hand with sword fighting, allowing for proper self-defense. Though by no means an expert, she is quite capable of holding her own in a fight.
