There was something up with Onishi Sen. That, Aya knew for sure. Sure, he was possibly one of the most slow on the uptake when it came to reading other people's emotions and moods, partly because he found it hard to empathise, mostly because he didn't care enough to bother observing changes in people so closely, it wasn't like he didn't have the ability to, he just didn't find the need. But in the last few months, he had taken active interest in monitoring pretty much everything about a particular person, and ofcourse, like anything else he did when he put his mind to it, he would like to say he was now pretty well in tune with Sen and thus, he realised something was wrong. Firstly, the other man had been far more disagreeable with him, ignoring his advice and requests, brushing off his analysis of situations and in general doing whatever he wanted. One may say this was the norm with the man also known as Revenant, but Aya had a feeling it wasn't the usual simple reckless behavior. It was like Sen was actively choosing to do the opposite of what he said, even if they both knew it was a bad idea. He also seemed to repeat that the violet haired man "didn't own him." (which was true, but Aya couldn't ever remember a time when he had said such a thing, or even implied it to get such a reaction out of him.) and that he was fine by himself (another confusing thing, as they were crime partners, if not anything else, and he had been under the impression they were both in each other's company due to the fact they needed each other, it was convenience, was it not?) No point in trying to do something by yourself when you weren't that good at it when someone beside you can be used to make the job easier. and what was the point of them putting themselves in such close proximity of each other if Send didn't need him at all? And another unfortunate (in Aya's opinion) emotion that all this unsettling behavior from Sen was managing to rouse out of Aya was that it was making him feel more and more irritated. He wasn't totally sure why, but being told he wasn't needed by the other was pulling some mysterious, slow burning rage within him that was just starting to get closer and closer to the surface. He wasn't sure why he was being tested this much by whatever damn force of nature, (surely it has nothing to do with the fact they had the most awkward one night?? stand a week and 4 days, 12 hours ago, seeing as Sen told him he didn't remember anything, thus that should not cause any issues, surely?) but again, today, the friction had started again. They were outside, for once, as the sun set Sen had loudly proclaimed that he was sick of being indoors and that he would actually die if he didn't eat something that wasn't conbini food as that's all they had for the last week and half (Aya saw nothing wrong with this, but whatever.) and so he had ended up leaving the house and now they were sitting in a small, random food establishment Sen had chosen (like he always did as Aya had no opinion on savory food.) Lavender-grey eyes studied Sen who was sitting opposite him, he could tell the other was restless again. Why? What was wrong with him?? If he said it was nothing again... "...What's the matter with you?" Aya asked simply in his usual monotone, his voice not at all giving indication of the mass of thoughts crossing his mind, eyes fixed on the other, studying his body language closely. He had no clue what was wrong- he had taken him outside as requested, hasn't he??

Sen remembered everything about that night, of course he had. Though he wished partially that he did not. It would have been easier that way in the end, wouldn't it? He wouldn't have had to look up at Aya, look the other man in the eyes, and remember every single thing they had done. Most of all, he remembered what Aya had said and that should have been enough to accept it and come clean, but the other man couldn't remember anything about that night either (or so he'd said, Sen couldn't be sure). It wasn't like Aya to lie, so he tended to believe him at face value. For some reason, all of this, made him so fucking angry. Mostly because he had to look at Aya, remember everything, and he couldn't do a damned thing about it. Onishi Sen was not used to not getting what he wanted. Aya always had a way of frustrating things, but this was a whole new level. It only made it worse that they hadn't tried to even talk about it, instead it was shoved elsewhere and forgotten (or at least attempted to be forgotten). They'd woken up in the same bed and by their lack of dress and uncomfortable closeness, well.. it didn't take a genius to figure it out even if the other man had been too drunk to remember it.
He felt fucking stupid.
Shouldn't have forced him to drink. He thought, but it was a little late for that. Not only did he get the poor guy drunk but he had taken away his innocence. Nothing better than your first time being a sloppy (amazing) screw with your sleazy partner who doesn't even bother to try and remember it. He wondered if Aya had felt used at all. It made Sen feel guilty and he had never in his life felt guilty. That was where the anger originated. It wasn't fair, not in the least, he knew that. It wasn't fair to lash out at Aya because things were messed up and he didn't know how to fix it. He was angry because he wanted to touch him and he couldn't. He was mad because Aya didn't remember and gave no indication to being even slightly bothered by the incident. The bastard had gotten up and went to take a shower, not even the slightest realization, no panic, or disgust. Just nothing. Meanwhile Sen felt like the wrath of the universe was out to get him for daring to do anything so stupid. The emotions swimming in his head so powerful that even Onryo was silent in their wake. Or maybe just silent out of shame for his host. Maybe a bit of both.
At first, he almost didn't hear the other man speak up, too busy staring down at his hands like he was trying to set them on fire. For some reason, that question made him furious. What's the matter with me? His brows furrowed into a scowl, eyes looking up to fix onto those violet-grey eyes like the man had just grown another head. "What's wrong with me? The fuck are you talking about, there's nothing wrong with me. What's wrong with you?"

Aya was infamously good at concealing his emotions, maybe a little too good at it at times and coupled with the fact he didn’t totally understand his own feelings, it was a bad combination to say the least. What was going through his mind hardly ever showed up on his expressions and that was his strength but right now it may be working just slightly against him.
He was also rather horrified by everything that had come out of his mouth that night, made worse by the fact that it all wasn’t just drunken lies or alcohol induced dramatics, but all vulnerable truths, things he had thought but never let surface, materialise into words- basically he had shown Sen a side of himself he was sure didn’t exist.
Aya realised something rather dangerous- he had a new fear now growing slowly within him, how much would it hurt when Sen inevitably left him? It may be intolerable. To have someone have that much control over him was unsettling to say the very least, and the fact he could also feel himself being drawn closer and closer... That was what made him lie, something he usually didn’t do as he had no need to.
So, as he thought, he got that same reply. Nothing wrong. The irritation bubbled even closer to the surface at the other’s words. But then what was he expecting Sen to say? He gazed back at the anger fuelled glare burning into his face with cold, emotionless eyes.
“I don’t believe that is the truth of the situation, Sen. Clearly you are acting irritated, and that is to say more irritated than your usual, disagreeable self. And that because of this you are making irrational decisions of late, probably due to your emotional state. That, I suppose would be what was wrong with me.”
He wasn’t going to admit now to Sen that when the other man said he didn’t need him, it made his chest twinge in pain. That may also be another thing that was irritating him- why was he feeling this way?

Sen was behaving like a brat.
He knew he was being an idiot, but he didn't know how to react. It was like the very act of being around Aya had somehow changed meaning. He could still see the curve of his naked back, the way his spine arched and curve of his hips. Aya was beautiful, regardless of what the violet-haired idiot seemed to think about himself, he was that. Sen couldn't understand how someone could possibly think something like that. How could he not see how beautiful he was? And yet, Sen couldn't even explain this to him because he wasn't supposed to remember anything that had happened between them.
Aya was frustratingly good at seeming unperturbed by anything, even by Sen. Meanwhile, Sen was visibly wrecked by every little fucking thing and it was infuriating to him that he couldn't do the same to the other man. Why wasn't he raving and howling? Why wasn't he asking questions or trying to get to the bottom of what had happened between them? Why wasn't he at least a little worried looking about how such a thing might change their work relationship? Meanwhile, these thoughts were like a raging hurricane, driving him insane. Even Onryo had been quiet in the wake of it all and that too was driving Sen insane. Someone say something, tell me it's not just me. But no one said a fucking thing.
He had completely forgotten that he was supposed to be hungry and shoveling the plate of food down like a starving man, but instead it laid there untouched and cold now.
"Don't fucking patronize me. I'm not a fucking child, Aya. There's nothing wrong with my emotional state. Better yet, what's wrong with your's? What's wrong with you? Does anything actually go on in there or is it just nothing? Do you actually feel anything or are you really that fucking empty inside?" He was lashing out blindly, madly. Like every bit of reason had flown the coop, leaving something desperate and needy behind, feeling lonely with it. So fucking alone. It wasn't like him in the least, he was often angry but never blind with it. Especially not when it mattered.

He knew it was mostly (being, around 70%) his fault this situation had occurred and now they had this predicament. That was the worst part of the whole situation. Just when they had started to synergise decently well in combat, of course he had to go and let his emotions go uncontrolled (out of all the things that he could have done.) and gotten them into this mess. This was why connecting with another human was an awful idea at the very least. What was he meant to do about it now? What was done was done, and clearly, even if Sen didn't remember the fact they had pretty much exchanged words of deep affection for each other (that was the uncomfortable truth for himself, and probably just a heat of the moment thing for Sen.) he guessed it wasn't going to be as easy as just pretending it all didn't happen. Humans weren't that simple, it seemed. Why couldn't things just be simple? How annoying. How so, irritating... Unspoken words, uncertainty, emotions turned into venom, rising up his chest and infusing his brain. He felt hot, even though he wasn't, and a faint vibrating sound could be heard in his ears as his eyes narrowed. If only he felt nothing. If only he was really empty inside. Then it would be so much easier. "You? Not a child?" A sarcastic scoff escaped his lips as he stared down at Sen. "When have you not acted like you can do whatever the hell you want, Sen? You simply do things without a second thought to what's going on around you, and you expect me to follow up when you don't even do as I ask? And you keep telling me you don't fucking need me, how the fuck are we meant to go forwards like this?" As his anger started to take over, the things around him, such as cutlery nearby, pepper pots, vinegar and soy sauce bottles started to tremble though Aya was too busy glaring at the black haired man, his heartbeat loud in his ears, to even notice what was going on around him.

Perhaps there was a better way to handle this situation. A less "dramatic" way. Like just talking about it for one, but what did it matter if there other man didn't recall anything and as far as he could see, had no interest to even fucking acknowledge it. How could Aya not even see that there was an issue in the first place and that that issue had spawned from the very real and very personal interaction that had occurred between them. It didn't matter that they couldn't remember so much so that it had happened.
And all Aya could likely care about what that things were unraveling between them and they were less productive by result. Their precious "synergising" was ruined and it was somehow Sen's fault. It pissed Sen off. He gritted his teeth at that obvious jab, wanting so much to just let loose every demon, every bit of poisonous, venomous ounce of vitriol he had in him. And he had a lot. But he wasn't sure if it was worth it because to let it loose would mean the destruction of them as a team. Was it worth it? Just to get this immense weight of his chest?
"You expect me to obey like a dog, like a weapon you can wield whenever you want, but I can't do what I want? What, am I just too fucking stupid to decide things myself? Or do I have to obey everything you fucking say without question? Is that what you want? I don't know, maybe we're not supposed to go forward from here."

Something inside Aya snapped at Sen's words. he could feel his heartbeat thumping faster in his ears as he took a slow shaking breath, a slight shudder running down his spine. So after all this, he wants to break it off?? So it ends like this. Another person who leaves him. Well he wasn't a child anymore, he would make the other man regret ever having met him if he was just going to try and break things off now. Closing his eyes, he tried to calm himself. A feeble, weak attempt, it was impossible, the bubbling of emotions that had been hiding under his skin had now burst onto the surface. A scream was heard from a nearby diner as the high pitched smash of a pepper pot hitting the wall, very narrowly missing Sen's head as Aya opened his eyes. "...you should listen to what I say because I watch your every move, everyday." He utttered through gritted teeth as a soysauce bottle now sailed through the air, straight at Sen's face, and a plate from a nearby table that just had it's contents tipped off it came flying towards the place Sen would dodge to- the other man had a habit of slightly shifting to the right when phase-dodging something, Aya knew this. People were staring now, a waiter not sure whether he should ask these customers to calm down or what... Some guests were hurrying to leave. "It's in my best interests to keep you away from harm. It's my fucking role in US, Sen... but sure. If you don't want to go forward fine. If you are so insistent on fighting me instead, fine." Aya moved his arm towards the front window of the store, the first time he had actually moved till now, holding his hand towards it. A strange, crackling sound was starting to be heard as the whole front window paine started to show large cracks. It wasn't usually Aya's style at all to cause pointless carnage like this, hell he hadn't even meant to throw the first thing, the detached, calmer part of him was rather interested in the fact he seemed top be able to just pull things towards himself without any use of his hands. Was it because he was almost seething with anger? Words he wasn't even sure he truely meant were coming out before he had time to process it properly.
"Because I'm pretty damn sure I could kill you if you want to leave me so much. You know way too much about me just to let you go on your fucking way."

Oh.
So that's how this was gonna be?
It was almost disappointing to Sen that he wasn't the one to throw the first punch (or throw an object in this case). It was almost odd that out of the two of them, he wasn't the first to completely lose his shit and just start with mindless violence. It wasn't like he didn't know Aya fairly well by this point, but he'd never seen the other lose his temper. It was part of the objective at hand, to see the other man finally just fucking lose it. Make him do something. Other than just sit there and look at him with that judgmental stuck-up expression of his.
"Yeah well news flash, sometimes I like to do things my own fucking way, asshole." He ducked his head instinctively at the first crash of an object, looking over his shoulder with a bewildered expression, "Have you lost your fucking mind?" His voice incredulous, but really he just wanted to bait him, push him over the edge until everything was violent and bitter hatred. Just to show him that Aya felt at least something for him, even if it was hatred. It was better than nothing at all. By the time he'd focused there was a god damn soy sauce bottle about to smash into his face and so (like any sane person) he dodged, but the other man did know him, quite well in fact. The plate smacked him upside the head, breaking on the impact. It hurt, a fucking lot.
"You motherfucking god damn stupid piece of fucking—" Okay, he was through. Aya wanted to play this game? Threaten him? Fine. Sen wouldn't hold his fucking punches then. "Fucking fine. Try and kill me, I dare you." Twisting, leg kicking out at the leg of the table knocking it at the violet-haired man, food and silverware crashing to the ground. Aya wasn't a close-combat sort, so Sen would make sure to make it extremely up close and personal. Immediately, he shot forward, hand aiming for the other's throat to pin him.

Customers and employees alike were running out in panic from the shop, clearly not wanting to be a victim in this fight between two seemingly normal civilians that had escalated rather quickly and dramatically increased in violence. Sure it was downtown Namba, but it wasn't so common for non villains to just openly break the law this much in public with no regard for anyone around them. Had Aya lost his mind? Probably. It felt like it now, like his hands were moving of their own accord, fueled by anger and frustration. He saw the slight tension in Sen's shoulders as he spat words at him, meaning he was probably going to come straight forwards towards him. In general, Sen had a pretty linear fighting style, though it showed his direct, unapologetic personality well and, in a way, Aya didn't hate it as he saw the beauty in someone who could do just that, he was also well prepared for it. The violet haired villain didn't have his dolls with him today, as he wasn't really planning to have some kind of death match with the other so he was lacking quite severely in defenses and attack but it was him who had started all this... His left hand swiftly flipped the table that was between them, meaning Sen would have to phase through or stop his advance, either way buying him a tiny bit more time. A loud shattering was heard as the front window broke finally, shattering into hundreds of pieces. As soon as he heard the sound, Aya did not hesitate to send whatever glass particles he had control over forward with a sweep of his hand, pointing it towards the black haired man. He took a jump back as he did so, knowing Sen was most likely going to come at him again and placed his hand on a 4 seater table behind him. " Try? You know if anyone can in this whole world it's me." Aya yelled back at Sen's general direction as he did all this. "You always have your own way, when have I ever asked you do to much in any other way then that?? You barge into my life, you take over my mind, and you just expect me to let you do that??" The truth was, he had let Sen do precisely just that.

Things had escalated.. fast, faster than he might have expected in any other situation, but there were obviously words they wanted to say, things that needed to be traded back and forth, tension beneath the surface of their skin boiling forth into something ugly and vicious. This was the only way they knew how to talk or work it out. Though, right then, Sen didn't care about working anything out. He didn't care what happened from then on, only that he was angry and when he was angry (like this) people died. And this kind of anger made him see red, made him irrational, but (despite Aya's beliefs to the contrary) it made him dangerous. He lived for this type of war and he didn't go down easily, not until he won.
Sen was like a god damn bull in a china shop normally, but right then he could have been destroying the finest art in the world and it wouldn't have mattered. It didn't take a genius to realize his eyes were probably red now and he was dancing on the edge, teetering over to the other side, letting loose the demon. Onryo was likely just sitting there waiting, the bastard didn't need to say a single word to bait him to it either, just sweet sweet fury. It was like a sweet poisonous drug he couldn't stop taking. He phased through the table in front of him, rolling as he hit the ground on the other side, blind to the glassy trap that await on the other side.
He felt the sting of the glass, but the pain barely seemed to register in his mind, only needing the sensation of winning.. whatever this was. All that mattered to him was removing the one weakness in his life, and that was Aya Tsuri.
"I barge into your life? You welcomed me, so fucking desperate for an ally, you let me in. Yeah well, a mistake for both of us, one that can be easily fucking remedied if you'll quit scampering around like a rat." And even then he knew his voice wasn't his own, not entirely, tangible traces of something darker, something angry. The lights, the noise, why was it all so much brighter and louder? He lashed out blindly, hand transforming into a black shadow mass that scarred the ceiling with sharp talons— dust and debris coating the air in a thick fog, lights ripped and shattered, the speakers of cafe music mottled until there was only silence and them.
"I was fucking happy, content, alone. Then you came in and made me forget. Forget why I'm angry, why I wanna destroy everything, and it's not fucking fair." It sounded childish in his ears, but the feeling was something primal, the voice that hummed beneath his own was grating like scraped metal, familiar in a way only he could understand. He was losing control and part of him wanted it. It was what Onryo had always wanted, him to give it all up willingly. Was that why the demon permitted Aya's existence for so long, he'd seen the value of those feelings? The effect it might have on Sen if his heart was torn a little?
He felt like he was losing his mind.

Onishi Sen was quite a sight to behold right now. Glowing red eyes, streams of blood slowly running down his face from a few shallow cuts on his left cheek and forehead, right hand some kind of shadowy claw, and it was almost like an aura radiated out of him, as if wrath had taken a fiery shape and could now visibly be seen blazing out of his person, or was that just the trick of the flickering, sparking lights? "We were meant to have simply used eachother for gain. When the hell did it change? When the fuck did you decide to bring in fucking emotions in this?? Why? Why do you want something beyond just using each other? You know that's a fucking dumb idea, right?? Do you even realise how high risk that is for both of us?? And what do you want anyway??? I don't understand at all." Most people would have been weary if not outright afraid of being the clear target of Sen's rage, but right now, as always, he wasn't afraid. Even though, in reality the violet haired man was at a distinct disadvantage due to the fact he had not brought his marionettes; he wasn't really expecting to start a deathmatch with his crime partner mid dinner- not to mention their quirk match up, even if Aya was fully geared was rather unfortunate. Sen had a large advantage and they both knew that. But at the same time, he had one thing he was confident in- Aya had watched the other man closer than anyone else ever probably had, and hell if he wasn't going to pull every trick to be able kill the other now the occasion called for it. "How? How do you expect me to deal with your random whims? So you decide to just randomly say crap like you care about me. Do you think you are being funny, saying shit at the heat of the moment, was it? Or do you find it that amusing to thoroughly mind fuck an unattractive, inexperienced virgin??" "I fucking care about you. Are you happy?"Yes, he probably was. Not probably, he was happy when he heard that. It was no use denying it. And that was another thing that unsettled him. Someone, a human, could make him feel happy. And it might be happier than any LE figure, SSR gacha spin result, or good anime ep had made him. A few words that controlled his emotions that strongly. And now the other wanted out. Not so fast.Sen will come to regret ever leading him on, ever having had those lies pass his lips...as he lay dying by his hand. "Hahaha... Honestly? I made you forget? So, what is this? You...you decided to mess me up inside because of something I didn't even directly do? What the fuck, Sen??? And that's why you wanna leave? " When the violet haired villain heard Sen's words, he couldn't stop laughing. Was this guy for real? Did he just...think... he could leave like that? No one, including Sen had probably heard Aya laugh this hard ever before, before he abruptly stopped, his eyes gleaming with a cold, murderous intent. "Well, you are wrong, Sen. You won't be able to leave me alive." Aya's tone was somewhat normal sounding, though slightly shaking, giving away the presence of emotions bubbling inside. He kept his left hand on the table, while with his right that was now free, he pressed fingers on a few silver spheres by his side. Pulling his fingers away, 3 of the orbs floated in the air, and a casual flick of his finger sent them shooting towards Sen, though the other probably knew what was going to happen a moment afterwards as loud bangs rang throughout the room as small fireballs erupted in the air. His eyes were focused on the other, trying to predict the black haired man's next attack- he knew the key was to bait Sen into using his Onryo form, then dragging him out of it as soon as possible as it used a lot of his energy to transform once, so him doing it twice in quick succession was hardly likely, specially without Aya himself to give him support. If he managed to block or deflect the first attack, that was all that was needed.
He would have him.

Sen had felt rage before, of course he had. He as nothing if not the epitome of rage—of anger-management gone wrong—perhaps a little too entitled, too sensitive, too cruel to care whose life it might put in danger if he lost control for even a second. And he was so used to losing control. Something about this situation only made it worse, only made every fiber of his being burn with such unexpected hatred (not all at Aya) but all pointed at Aya because he was the only person in the room besides himself and he was too proud and too narcissistic to blame himself.
"Me? So this is all my fault? I brought the emotions in, so much easier huh? Then admitting that for a second something mattered to you. Something besides your fucking dolls and your loneliness and your vendetta. Terrified that I might leave just like all the rest, and who can blame them?" Venom bled from every word, soaking his voice until it was almost unrecognizable even to himself, rawness and cruelty clinging to every syllable. And in the depths of his mind Onryo lingered, like a flickering light drawing in, clinging to every emotion he felt. And wouldn't it have been so much simpler, because with Onryo it wouldn't have mattered. He wouldn't have felt anything that mattered. It would be so much easier.
So you decide to just randomly say crap like you care about me.
Now who went and said a thing like that? He tilted his head, predatory gleam in his eyes sparking at the realization that Aya had played him for a fool, hadn't he? Did he remember but regret it? Was he embarrassed about it? Unwilling to admit to his fault? To falling for someone like Onishi Sen. And mingling with the anger he felt, he wasn't sure what he was feeling anymore, only the need to be cruel. And he had retreated, slowly Onryo was taking the reins and the demon had little care for love and affection. "You seemed more than a little willing."
"This is safer. This is safer. This is safer." The voice hummed and it did feel like safety.
"I wanna leave because I'm sick of you. Just like everyone else." No, that wasn't true. He wanted to leave because he did care, he wanted to leave because this hurt like a fucking knife in his chest, he wanted to leave because he was scared. And fear did not suit him, he did not wear it with dignity and grace.
"That's the plan." By that point it wasn't him anymore, his voice was a hiss, like the grating of metal on metal. He slipped down into the ground, the explosions loud above. Sen didn't phase downward, for fear of getting caught or slipping and falling and never climbing back up again. But Onryo had no such fears. Onryo was a mind that even Aya couldn't likely predict because even the Marionettist had limitations to his understanding of cruelty, but Onryo did not. And perhaps, if the shadow didn't enjoy playing with its food so much, it might have just pulled the other man down with him, let him get crushed within milliseconds, but no. Not yet. He phased back up behind Aya, fully changed now and screamed. Screamed at such a pitch that glass shattered and the walls creaked, followed by a particularly fearsome slash at the other man's torso.

Rage did not suit Aya Tsuri. He had felt rage before, but it was a slow burning, festering sort that ate away at everything he was gradually, everything he did, every waking moment felt like being trapped in a ship that was doomed to sink eventually. Like an attachment spirit that had cursed him from birth. He had gotten used to it, learnt to cope by plotting how the people who put him in this world would pay for their crimes. But this was different. It was like he was hot oil and someone had thrown a match into the center. It was threatening to consume him, burn him to the core. Words were usually nothing, he knew Sen well enough to know the other was a master at hurling insults, and usually he would know better than to be triggered by them. But the personal nature of the other's jibes, the fact it was accurate because... yes, it was because Sen mattered to him, and that was a fucking scary concept; something, someone who he had no control over had govern over his own feelings like this, made him act so irrational like this, it was most undesirable. And the fact it was being used against him just proved what an awful idea this all was- every one of Sen's words, harsh but absolutely correct observations stabbed into him like daggers and it showed, if only for a moment in his violet-grey eyes. "You seemed more than a little willing." Yes. Yes he had. He had thrown himself at the other man, he had been the one who had progressed their... relations far further than anyone with half a brain would have. Sen was ready to pull back, he could remember that. It should have just stopped at a kiss. But no, he had been the one to act so damn desperate just because the person he liked seemed to somewhat like him back and that's how he had gotten himself in this whole mess in the first place. So he would let the pain of those words serve as a reminder of what happens when you let another human too close. It was a lesson learnt. Never again. Now that it had gotten this ugly, Aya didn't care. There was no point in acting civil or dignified now. He knew the mature, graceful, honorable thing to do was to step back and let the other leave, maybe with a well placed warning that if the other man did screw him over in the future he would pay. But even though Aya Tsuri liked to act sophisticated, pretentious and mature, his true nature was not anything of the sort. He was the type of person with no honor, who would do anything to get what he wanted, whether that meant clawing on the floor to get to it, doing underhanded things, dishonourable actions, he would do it. And right now he wanted to undo the mistake he had made. Even through his rage he heard the shift,t he change in his partner's voice and tensed. He may have found Sen more than anyone else alive, but that was simply not enough times. And the only issue with Onryo form was... even Aya had not seen it enough times to know what it was going to do. As the explosions rang out through the restaurant, he saw the other phase down through the floor and cursed internally. This was exactly why fighting this form was terrible. Sen would have never done something like that. Well, most likely it would come up from his side or behind. Fingers at the metallic cylinders by his side, he pulled 4 of them off their holders, forming a cross shape in the air around him. Onryo would for sure come for him sooner than later. At least that was certain. Then it came, that screech that almost threw Aya totally off balance from behind. That was the first time he had seen THAT, that was for sure. He could feel a whoosh of movement behind him and to his right and tried to move away while he detonated all 4 flash grenades. He didn't have Kimi there to shield himself from these so it would blind Aya for sure also, but it was necessary, he had no other choice. He heard the tear of material as claws pierced through his clothing and pain as it scraped his skin, but he could tell it wasn't as deep as the knife had been last time so it probably would be fine. For now. The dark room was filled with bright light for a moment as Aya tried to cover his face but could tell his vision was temporarily screwed. He staggered to the ground, steadying himself so he didn't fall over. Yep, detonating those so close by with no protection was a bad idea, he could still see spots of light that marred his vision.
