RUMOR/SECRET: | "Did you know that if you make her angry, you'll be killed after she's copied you?" |
A dog-loving girl with a rude personality but a heart of gold. That, in essence, sums up Xia. There are a few reasons as to why she's rude to people. For one, she is treated like a child due to her height. She is smaller than what the average would be, but she wants to be seen as an equal, or an adult. Not someone who's smaller than them. Due to this, she has achieved a sort of inferiority complex. She constantly wants to surpass those around her, and will go to extreme lengths in order to be better than them.
Secondly, her quirk is seen as weak in terms of hero's. She needs to be close to her target, or it's rendered useless. For this, she has aspired to be one of the more naturally faster people in her class, and wishes to be seen as a formidable ally. Not just a one-stop shop. That is the other reason she pushes herself so hard. Her parents took the support course and told her not to go for the hero course, but she did so anyways. She wanted to prove that her quirk could aid as a hero, instead of being a grocery store with free copied stuff.
She has a habit of overestimating her opponents, and due to this, she will constantly play it safe, assuming the other person has her figured out already, but it also can be used against her. Another habit of hers is that, if she gets bored, she'll start ignoring the person or doze off into la la land.
She loves the city life, but also has a penchant for nature. She grew up in Kyoto, a place with shrines and forests everywhere. It's less developed than Tokyo, but it is still well-developed. If she were to go to the country, she would not like it.

BACKGROUND HISTORY
PLACE OF BIRTH/HOMETOWN: | Kyoto |
PARENTS: | Xia Kusanagi(Mother), Dimitri Kusanagi (Father) |
SIBLINGS: | Arthur Kusanagi (Brother) , Yuqi Kusanagi (Sister) |
SIGNIFICANT OTHER: | N/A |
OTHER: | Hero (Shiba Doge) |
The Kusanagi family is a family of U.A Graduates. Xia's parents were both graduates of the support course along with her sister. Her brother is one year younger than her though, and she followed in Xia's footsteps. He wishes to do the same as what Xia is doing. Prove to their parents that they can be heroes.
And so, Xia enrolled into U.A with no recommendations from her disappointed family members, and took one of the highest spots in the exam. She jumped unto the back of a robot, gripping it while her quirk, Copy N' Paste was activating. Red and Blue lines appeared on her arms, data or something akin to it traveling down to her fingertips. From her fingertips, the red and blue lines covered the robot completely.
She jumped off and then 'pasted' the copied robot into life and made it fight the original robot. She then summons another copied robot and makes it fight another robot.
She did this repeatedly, in the end claiming herself a spot at U.A and confusing the other people who were taking the exam.
Then, it was her first year. She was shy, she didn't know what to do and she was in a new world by herself. She tried her best to remain in the top 3 in academics, but she would always fall behind in the sports aspect. She didn't have super speed. She didn't have super strength. All she had was her ability to copy and paste something. She didn't acquire many friends either, as she would be too shy to approach and instead headed to the library or her dorm room. She couldn't bear making friends and then losing them, if she were to be expelled.
That's another thing. She was constantly afraid of being thrown into general studies or even worse, the support course.. Her grades were always in the top 3, but her quirk didn't leave much room for combat ability.
It wasn't until halfway through the first year that her eyes were opened up. A YouTube video, the title now forgotten to her, talked about if computers were superpowers, it would be OP. In the video, it talked about the Copy, Paste, and Delete functions. Xia watched it, over and over again, cursing her own ignorance. She was basically a computer's CTRL function. She could copy and paste, but...delete? She wasn't so sure about.
She spent the rest of her first year expanding upon what she could do with her quirk. In the end, she didn't find out how to delete, but she did increase the speed in which her 'data' flows to whatever she is copying and increased the range of what she could copy. Before, she could only copy things about the size of a human in an alright time, but she could copy things the size of a car or truck.
Her second year was something else. It was the storm before the hurricane. She was bullied for her height. She was bullied because of her quirk and bullied for her love of hats. Slowly, Xia turned more and more abrasive towards people, refusing to let people walk all over her. By doing this, she isolated herself even more. This is where her dislike of extroverts came from. She associated extroverts with popular kids, the ones that bullied her. In this time, she kept her grades up and trained her quirk, though she kept looking at her peers and saw how far they'd come in terms of power of their quirks and she kept pushing herself. She managed to unlock the clipboard function of a computer within her, thereby allowing her to copy more than one thing at a time, though she can only muster three small things or two medium sized or one large thing. Then the Sports Festival rolled around.
She did a lot better than she had the previous year. She passed the obstacle race with ease, though she was still beaten with those with speed quirks, but she managed to snag a spot for herself in the fights incoming after the cavalry battle. It was a large open field, designed to give no one an advantage, but Xia was at a huge disadvantage. She had nothing to copy. except the ground.
She lost in her first fight. She was furious at herself. Why couldn't she have a destructive quirk? Why couldn't she have done better?
She was in a rut.
For a few months, she shut herself off. Her grades started going down, she stopped training. She started thinking about the possibility of transferring into the support course because...perhaps, her parents were right. Her quirk wouldn't let her be a good hero. She couldn't infiltrate buildings, she couldn't fight 1v1 without being thrown around. She was at a loss.
Then, she received a call.
It was her younger brother. He told her that she was cool. That he enlisted in U.A as well. He wanted to follow in her footsteps and would give it his all. She promptly hung up, a surge of tears flowing down her face.
After this, she pushed herself even more. She made her quirk stronger and stronger, worked on her speed, had support items made for her, and embraced the fact that, she may not have a destructive quirk, but she definitely has one with a lot of uses, one that she will abuse to make her way to the top.

THE ARMORY
A Dulled Katana- She copies this in order to be better at close-range combat.
Smoke Grenades- Used to give her cover when she needs to copy something.
Hero Suit- A red cloak that is elementally resistant( to a degree. It will still burn if fire is strong enough or constantly applied.) Her military suit with some body armor underneath to absorb some shocks she may experience. It also has boots with increased traction. Overall, her suit is still incredibly light, not hindering her speed at all.
The suit and cloak are resistant to elements. It is water-proof, and an insulator of electricity. It can withstand up to 1,100 degrees celsius, which is a normal campfire's fire. More than that, her clothes will catch on fire.
Flash grenades- Temporarily blind an enemy so she can get closer.
Small Round Shield- A small shield designed to ward off long-range attacks until she can get closer.

QUIRK & SKILLS
CTRL Function
TYPE: Emitter
RANK/LEVEL: C+
SUMMARY:
CTRL Function is a quirk that lets the user copy something and paste it, just like the CTRL+C and CTRL+V functions on a computer. Xia is able to copy a total of 3 things and store it into her clipboard, which acts as a sort of memory bank for her. She can then paste any of those things in the clipboard up to 6 times, but that is her max. She could paste 2 of each and that'd be her max, or 6 from just one copied item.
As stated before, her clipboard works similarly to a memory bank for her. Larger things take more space.
For example, Xia could copy 3 different swords, but she could only copy two cars, therefore, she would only be able to copy 1 thing and hold it in her 'memory' if it was larger than a car.
Her quirk is stopped completely if she has to lose contact with whatever she's copying as well, making copying large things a hindrance.
Whatever she pastes, the weight of it is reduced to half for her. As soon as it leaves her hands, they resume their original weight.
She is also able to copy copies, if she were to run out of uses.
The pasted items disappear after a hour or after she is K.O'd or loses focus to keep them in existence.
WEAKNESSES/LIMITATIONS:
The biggest immediate drawback is distance. She has to touch whatever she's copying and if she loses contact with what she's copying, she has to start over.
Red and blue lines travel down Xia's arms and out her fingertips, the lines covering whatever she is copying. This is also a dead giveaway as to what she is copying, but for pasting, the red and blue lines come out quickly to form the structure and everything within. Think of it like DNA, in a way.
It is possible for her to copy fire and water attacks, but she can't outright copy quirks. She can only copy the properties of them, and even then, she can't use them the same way as the original user. It comes out as either a wave or a blast of whatever element it was. Adding to this though, she'll still be affected by whatever element it is she copied. It's not like she can delete it from existence at the moment.
The other biggest drawback to this is the fact she needs time. Time to copy. Smaller things, such as grenades, swords, and things like that are near instantaneous but things like a car would take around 30 seconds to a minute and in a fight, seconds are critical, therefore she opts not to do that.
Over-use of her quirk essentially ends up causing a pseudo-fry of her brain. She will collapse and be unable to do anything else. 5 posts is near over-usage. In this state, she will start feeling dizzy and her eye sight will become blurrier. Sharp pains in her forehead will also occur, akin to a migraine. 7 Posts is over-use and she will pass out.
Her mortal weakness is something that she subconsciously does. She over-estimates her opponents and plays it safe, not going for any risk. An aggressive approach or a fast approach will always cause her great difficulty.
