This was a terrible idea.

None of his ideas were ever actually good ideas though. His teacher had once told him that if he put nearly as much work into his hero training as he did in his tricks, then he would be the number one hero already. What did that mean? Well it meant that he had managed to impress his teacher so why give up on an already good thing for what was essentially a pipe dream?

"Where did you go? Pearl, where are you?" He dug through his bags looking for the infamous albino rat. She was secretly his favorite of the three sisters: poppy, petunia, and pearl. The other two would be jealous that he took her with him for this once in a lifetime (once in an 30 minute expanse) event and how did she repay him? She had wandered off. "You're gonna miss it." He grumbled, giving up on his pursuit to find the devious rodent because it was close to show time. He had his usual sheet of canvas, a brush, and a bottle of ink as he hunkered down a small distance away from the entrance door to the dorms. The canvas paper was a tad larger than his usual, sized at about 20x16", allowing for the necessary monstrosity to correctly pull off the prank of the day (or hour). It wasn't exactly an original idea, he had done it plenty of times before, but he couldn't afford to be brilliant every day.
[break][break]
He picked up the brush, applied the ink, and commenced drawing the ugliest looking creature his devious mind could think of. He thought of his mother's casserole that summer, well not the casserole so much... The dog had gotten on the table, eaten it, then proceeded to throw it up (his mom was not a very accomplished cook). He thought more of the after-effect and the blobby creature that peeled from the page and crawled towards the entrance door to the dorms was truly a formidable, atrocious creature indeed. It was larger than his normal creations (about the size of a small boulder). It took quite a bit more out of him, and as with most of his creations it was likely useless in any combative sense. "It's aliveeee." He said with a dumb evil laugh. All he needed was a victim to walk through the door to be greeted by... hmm he supposed it needed a name... Casserole Surprise.
[break][break]
The door would open and the Casserole Surprise would descend upon its victim like the monster in a low-budget black-and-white horror movie.

Oh... if only Pearl was there to enjoy it with him.
