While the Bloodhounds were known for their proficiency with more infiltration-oriented jobs, it wasn’t beyond them to deal with more common crimes. Gang members selling off contraband weaponry, drug deals, that manner of thing. In fact, given how uncommon the operations Yuuto’s agency was famous for were, the more day-to-day hero work was how they kept the lights on, even if the more intense missions were what brought in the big bucks. One of those more ‘common’ crimes was, if intelligence was correct, taking place somewhere in the apartment building that Yuuto was standing in an alley next to. Covered by shadow, it provided easy cover while he waited.
Under normal circumstances, he would have just gone in by himself. While it was dangerous to go in without backup, going in solo meant that he’d be able to creep around easier, and he wouldn’t have to account for a partner. But he’d been informed that he was to be working with someone else for the operation - perhaps because they were just in the area and command figured that it’d be better to have the both of them take the thugs in there together, perhaps because they were more familiar with the building or the area than Yuuto and would be able to take point more effectively than him. The reasons hadn’t been made clear, but he knew better than to try and argue when time was of the essence.
Once more, he checked over his weapons, making certain that everything was in working order. It wasn’t that he wasn’t skilled with his hands or a knife, of course - but given that his Quirk wasn’t something oriented towards combat, being able to pump a few rubber rounds at a distance into somebody’s torso and leave the incapacitated could save his life. The last thing he needed was for his weapons to jam on him because he missed something during the first few checks. Halfway through, however, he was interrupted by one of his peers on the radio, trying to get his attention.
“Lockon, got an update for you.” “Go on.” “Necrocyte’s on the way. I’ve sent her your location - she should be there soon.” “Good. Getting tired of waiting here.” “Not her fault you got there early. Anyway, I’ll be back if anything comes up. Kick ass out there, sir.” Yuuto grumbled a little under his breath. He understood the necessity of his juniors addressing him like that, but it still irked him some to be addressed as a ‘sir.’ He wasn’t that old, was he?

Mere moments following the end of the radio call, a deep purple ooze slithered down the wall of the adjacent building from a rain gutter, pooling into a thick puddle some two meters away. The slime bubbled and climbed up itself from the pool on the ground into the vague shape of a woman, with two glowing green orbs floating into place before the color of Necrocyte's uniform appeared from the purple shape, and a skull appeared in the ooze to catch the green dots where her eyes now rest. She nodded professionally. "Lockon. Pleasure." Kadan placed a long finger on a button in her ear, ready to sync with his communications, if any. "I'll get right to the point. I plan on entering through an air vent on the roof. It's about eight centimeters wide, and should lead to every room the gang could be expected to be holed up." Kadan cocked her head to flick a translucent tendril of hair away from her face as she looked up the grimy wall of the gang's building. "I don't mean to take over your agency's job, but I understand that you can locate me- if I were to slip inside and lead you right to the bulk of the operation, would you disagree with such a plan?" If Kadan was excited to work with a veteran hero of Yuuto's reputation, her blank, bony face and dry, slightly rough voice did not betray as such. {Spoiler}

Yuuto was quick to point his rifle towards the massing pool, but lowered it once he realised just who it was. He'd expected her at his location soon, of course, but to have her there only seconds after he'd come off the radio with mission control had put him on edge, of only for a moment. Finger off the trigger, he waited for her to fully form before giving a response in kind. "Pleasure's mine." He responded curtly, punctuated with a quick nod back at her before his gaze returned to keeping an eye on the rest of the alley, in case some stray thug managed to chance upon them.
His own finger pressed to the side of the helmet, syncing with her, before his attention went back to her. He was thankful she didn't bother with niceties - they were on a mission, and he hadn't the time nor the patience to get friendly with anyone. Though it wouldn't be seen beyond the helmet, his expression was stony and focussed, his eyes constantly shifting between her and anywhere a potential assailant might spring from. He'd seen enough heroes get taken down because they weren't paying attention, and he refused to let himself join them.
"If you're sure you can find it, then do it. We managed to get one of them to tell us it's the third floor, but that's about it. Customers get shown to the right room by a contact at the elevator, but obviously that's not going to be an option." He kept his gaze on her and started his Quirk up, gaze then focussing on her face, such as it was behind those red lenses. "Once you've got their location, radio back to me, but do not engage. Keep an eye on the guard at the elevator and take him out on my signal. I'll take the stairs in the meantime - can't risk the door opening up to hostiles. Any objections?"

Perfect. Ambushes were Kadan's specialty, and even just the knowledge of what floor to look would save probably an hour of searching- though she was naturally skeptical of any information coming from someone on the inside, Kadan prepared for the possibility of a trap.
"No objections here." Kadan's eyes shifted slightly in place, she scanned the alley before approaching the wall and turning one hand into a blob of slime, still connected to her forearm. "I'll hit the radio twice once I'm in position to take out the elevator guard. I may not be able to hear you while I search, I'm deaf while my ears are melted." On Yuuto's mark, Kadan swung her arm like throwing a baseball, launching a line of slime which stuck to the length of the wall with a soft splat. "See you inside." The rest of her body melted, forming an amorphous mass which quickly shrank, traveling up the line of slime like a pipeline, until she reformed on the edge of the roof.
Kadan looked over the roof to confirm it was clear before creeping to the hooded pipe sticking out from the tarred surface of the building exterior. "Going in, now." She whispered into her radio, waiting a moment for any further information before melting once again, slithering down the pipe like a liquid down a drain.

"Understood. Keep an eye on the stairwell - if you can't hear me, try and see me instead." With that, Yuuto performed one more cursory glance over his rifle, and started towards the building once she was in. Getting up the stairwell wouldn't be too much trouble, given that most of the people in the building were just normal residents that were either unaware of what was happening, or willing to turn a blind eye. Much as it annoyed him that they did, he supposed that he couldn't really blame them. There was no guarantee that some stragglers from the group wouldn't come after them if they found out who 'snitched -' and that was assuming that the group wasn't part of some larger operation that wanted to make an example.
Yuuto cleared his head of such thoughts, however, and refocussed himself on the mission. He could ponder the failings of hero society later on. For the time being, it was all about getting up to the third floor without much trouble going on. He moved in, and rushed towards the stairs, surprisingly silent for someone that was wearing body armour. At that time of day, it was unlikely that anyone would be doing much more than sleeping - and anyone that was out likely wouldn't be in any state to stop him, if they were even in any state to.
The ground floor was cleared without much issue. Given the intel he'd received Yuuto wasn't surprised. It sounded to him like the operation wasn't being carried out with many people, and those that were were likely just whatever like-minded thugs they'd managed to round up. Even so, he had to keep an eye out. There was no telling when someone might come out of the corner, even as he ascended up towards the second floor, hands gripping his rifle - but ready to reach for a flashbang if things got dicey. He hoped he didn't have to use it until he got to the room, but if a situation was dire, he had to do what he could.
"Closing in on the third floor." He said under his breath, hoping that Necrocyte was still able to hear. She'd figure it out soon enough anyway. It wasn't often that the sound of thick, heavy boots on poorly-maintained stairs rang out through the building, and he wagered some two-bit drug peddlers wouldn't be the owners of high-quality body armour like his. "Any guards?"
