Kazumi sat down on the forest floor, playing with a twig in one hand and using veterinary surgical scissors in the other hand to cut open the skin of the squirrel he had just killed. A little poison in its food could kill pretty quickly, he admitted. It only took ten minutes for the squirrel to die. Setting down the stick, he carefully peeled the fur off the corpse to see muscle, covered in blood. The blood slithered away off the squirrel, and and made its way three feet away from him. Kazumi just watched the blood until it stopped. He knew it was his quirk at work. The blood had became unclean with poison infecting the bloodstream, and no way was the quirk going to let Kazumi die. Well. Although Kazumi was glad, he sometimes wished that he did have the chance to at least touch blood.
He continued to do his work. He used the surgical scissors to cut open a bit of the muscle and examined inside the body. Already as crusty as a cracker now that the blood was gone. He reached in a pair of tweezers and rummaged around in the body, being as careful as he could not to ruin any part of the squirrel's anatomy. Fascinating. Of course, he had seen inside other squirrels before, and they were always fun to look at, this one was going to be fun to look into. "Oh god, it was pregnant," Kazumi said with a smile on his face. "I can see what an Embryo corpse looks like."
But there was something in the way. Kazumi squinted, and it looked like a bone. He sighed. He grabbed a pair of Bone Holding Forceps to try and move it out of the way so he could get to the womb. Grabbing one hand on the squirrel to keep it steady, he gently pulled on the bone. It didn't budge. He tried to pull harder, but then he heard a snap and the Forceps flew out of his hand. He looked inside the squirrel. The bone was still there in one piece. Then that meant...
He searched the ground for his Forceps. Not with the rest of his kit. Not by the squirrel. Where was it? Kazumi turned around to see the stick he had been playing with earlier when he had first cut open the squirrel. Something glinted next to it. His Forceps! Kazumi knelt down and grabbed it, then gasped, looking down on the palm of his hand. His Bone Forceps were in three pieces. "Damn it!" Kazumi yelled out loud. "Now I need to get another pair." But he had no extras, so what would he do? He angrily grabbed his Veterinary Medical kit and his pregnant squirrel corpse, and stormed over to his home, an abandoned warehouse in the middle of the woods.
Kazumi burst through the door to the large, messy place. He set down the squirrel and his Kit carefully on a small, round, wooden table and looked around. Kazumi had always tried to make the place look semi-nice. He didn't bother to clean up the many boards and rotting wood lying around, but he did try and make a nice decor out of stolen goods he had swiped. A small Battery-powered radio in one corner, a green couch in another, a table fit for six, chairs to go with it, and more. No TV, of course. The place didn't have power. It was what it was.
Kazumi flopped on the couch, thinking about what to do with his broken Tool. It was very important to use in the procedure. He checked the stash of pocket money he had stashed in the drawer of the round table he had set his things on. Kazumi started to count. Ten dollars... Fifteen dollars... Twenty three dollars... Forty five dollars and ten cents. That could buy him some new forceps. He put the extra Ten dollars back in the drawer and slammed it shut. He pocketed the money and thought of where to buy the forceps. The place where he last bought the kit closed down a year ago... He could try and steal it from a hospital, but they are very well guarded and he knew he would never pull it off without help... the only other option he knew was on the other side of town.
That was definitely a problem. Kazumi didn't have anything to get him there besides foot. He could go at night, but then again, morning comes fast, plus he'd probably fall asleep while trying to get there. He had no idea how to skateboard, and had no idea why he had actually stole the kid's skateboard in the first place. He had learned to drive, but drove his car off a bridge when-
Car. Car! Yes, that was the answer! But Kazumi had no car. He had learned to drive when he was sixteen, but drove his car off a bridge when letting out his anger for his mother's carelessness. Ugh. Just thinking about his mother irked him. He tried to bang his head on the wall, but a weak wind cushioned every attempt. Sometimes he hated when his quirk tried to stop him. Thinking about other things, he plopped down on the couch again.
Nightfall came. Grabbing a paper clip, kitchen knife, and a matchbox, he went out of the warehouse and into the starry city of Musutafu at night. He was going to try Grand Theft Auto tonight.
