The night was not going as she had hoped, or expected it to. But she doubted that she could have planned for a villain attack on their choice of entertainment for the evening. She gave Mikael a smile, they were working well together, saving lives, just like heroes should do. After all, though a lot of heroes and indeed students wanted to be popular with the public, it did not matter when saving people and protecting them was what truly mattered.
Yui flinched as more of the building started to come down. They were running out of time to save everyone, a pro hero would find a way to save everyone, that was what heroes did the stuff regular people believed to be impossible. Mikael set off to rescue the unconscious man, leaving Yui with the mom and child. She picked her way quickly through the rubble and chaos, the advantage of being small and nimble. It took her a lot longer than she planned to free the mother, but eventually she managed to free her. She helped parent and child out of the building, as the rescue teams and professionals started to arrive. Yui sank to her knees and took a few shaking breaths as she watched the cafe finally come down.
She went to say something to Mikael when her phone started vibrating like crazy. She knew who it would be without even glancing at the caller. Yui let it go to voice mail before sending a quick text to reassure her mother. She felt a bit guilty for not picking up, but if her mother heard how tired she sounded she would only worry even more. "I told her we saved some people and you kept me safe from harm." Her phone vibrated and she glanced at it. "She says thank you and a smiley face." Yui let out a sigh as she stared at the rubble. "I... I... Even with my Quirk I would not have been able to make it out from all that rubble." Yui whispered, now the adrenaline was started to wear off, she realised how much danger the pair of them had been in. Yet if they had not decided to act who knew if any of the people they rescued would have survived. She swallowed. "And to think my mother thought this was a date... I don't know of any outside of fantasy books that end in villains, fights and rescues." She seemed to realise what she had said, her cheeks coloured lightly but Yui made no attempt to withdraw her comment. She was too tired, too shaken to care for embaressment at the moment. They had survived, they saved lives, they had gone plus ultra. "Plus Ultra am I right?" She commented softly.
