Rise let out a quiet and somewhat frustrated sigh. She had come to visit UA High as a favour to her family, tour the school, see what it was like etc etc all that fun stuff. To be honest it was a pretty awesome school, though Rise herself knew she could never personally attend this place. For starters she lacked a Quirk of any kind and unlike Tatsumi High where she attended, they had a different educational focus, forging the heroes of tomorrow.
Somehow, Rise was not sure but she managed to get herself lost and separated from the rest of the group. Okay, she knew exactly how she managed to get lost, she took a few steps away to find somewhere quiet to talk to her friend Yukiko over the phone, since she had called her all upset. By the time she finished helping her friend, the group had moved on and Rise had no clue as to where they were. Her attempts to find the exit herself proved fruitless with Rise getting herself lost with surprising speed. Great, this was just perfect, Rise music icon missing at UA High.
She sat down on a bench as she debated what to do now, calling anyone was not really an option. She did not have the number for the school and wasting phone calls now would eat at precious battery life. Rise assumed the school must have sensors or some means of monitoring the activities of the students during their training and exams, therefore perhaps it might be best to stay in one place and wait for rescue. After all, with the mixture of teachers, pro heroes and students on campus and taking part in the tours/talks she supposed someone may have noticed her disappearance and lack of any reappearance.
Rise did not like the sit and wait plan, but it seemed to be better than endlessly wandering around a city by herself. Rise was by far from the tallest individual in the world, standing only five foot one in height, she wore the dark grey uniform associated with Tatsumi High and her long brown hair cascaded down her back and shoulders. This was turning out to be a fine day, go tour UA they said, it would be fun they said, let us know what you think of it... What had she done, got herself lost. Yukiko would tease her for months once she found out about this Rise thought grimly. It was easy to see the funny side of this situation, but all the same, humour did not solve her current problem.

Aki had toured UA High; just once, when he was much, much younger. A tag-along with his older brother -- just the two of them on a private tour of the campus, his brother's hand on his shoulder, both of them still starry-eyed about becoming future heroes.
It wasn't a particularly sweet memory.
But, there was a tour group milling about the school now; excitable middle-school hopefuls with the same stars in their eyes, some hand-in-hand with their parents, chirping like a flock of birds by the management classrooms. Aki ducked by the tour guide, angling his head away to avoid meeting any inquisitive eyes.
Once of clear of the crowd, he dipped by a copse of shrubbery, cutting through the greenery in a shortcut to the 1-I dorms. It was a straightforward route, shaving a a minute or two off from the circuitous, gingko-lined paved path: second bench to the right, and straight on till morning. He picked his way through the grass, navigating by muscle memory, half his attention on his phone -- and only just glimpsed her out of the corner of his eyes, as he stepped out into the pavement.
Familiarity made him pause -- before recognition set in.
"Well," he greeted, eyebrow arched, "this is a surprise. I didn't think I'd meet you again until after you graduated, Rise-san. So, what brings you here: Business or pleasure?"

Rise jumped, startled by the sudden calling out of her name. She turned seeing a familiar figure, one she had not expect to see here but a welcome one. After all, when lost completely anyone who happened to know their way around was a welcome face. Rise stood up, a small smile on her face. "Aki." She greeted happily. "It has been a while since we last spoke." Or for that matter saw one another. "Business... Touring the campus for one of my nephews." She explained, though with a quick glace around it was clear that the music icon had gotten separated and then lost. "I may have kind of gotten lost on the campus as well... Erm... What about you?" Rise asked, feeling her cheeks redden as a result of the confession of her predicament. Well it would have been rude to talk on the phone whilst people were talking and or asking questions about UA High. Just because some of the parents were, did not mean that Rise had to follow suit. Good manners went far after all.
"If it wouldn't be any trouble can you show me around? I... They did not give me a map and I've reached the point where it is either ask for help or wait till search and rescue turns up." She chuckled at her own joke amused by it. Well, if you could not laugh at your own personal misfortune what else could you laugh about. It was good that Aki had found her, he was not some ravenous crazed fan demanding pictures or autographs or autographed pictures that totally were not going to end up on an auction site. Such was the price she paid for fame, a devil's bargain if there every was one. That might be an idea for a song or a lyric for one, she would make a note of it later.

It had been a while since they last met. They had gotten together for a music video, or a magazine shoot, or a something in the long list of things that an up-and-coming virtuoso and child model with bigshot connections could do together for publicity. Aki had kept up with the news surrounding her after that, as a child born into the business of entertainment was wont to do. He had heard of her hiatus — and seeing her again was honestly a surprise.
Not enough for it to trip him up, though.
“It is a big campus,” Aki agreed smoothly, looking over his shoulder at the sprawling Academy grounds. Ostentatiously large, labyrinthine enough that unwitting outsiders could get lost if left without guidance — which probably was the point. “Lucky for you, they won’t have to send out the search-and-rescue hounds yet.” He tapped on his phone screen, and glanced down at the time on the display. “Class just ended today, which leaves us with about an hour and a half to locate your tour group before my extracurriculars start.”
“So — ” he slipped his phone back into his pocket with a careless flick of his wrist “ — where did you last see your flock? The main school building or the cafeteria? Or, the dungeons?”

It felt like several life times ago since they last met, but their early works together had been fun. But of course, all of this was in the past, before her sudden fame and popularity, before her international tours, before her collapse and the need to take a mental health break. Her music still sold well, the odd new song released helped keep her in the public eye and the fact she went to a school as well now... Well something so ordinary worked far better than some of the best marketing advertisements done for her or ones which she had appeared in. "It is." Rise agreed quietly. "I often thought that it might simply be stories, exaggerated with every retelling but the truth really doesn't do it justice." How anyone here managed to find their way about without becoming hopelessly lost in the warren of buildings and facilities amazed her.
"Glad to hear it, I don't think any of the staff would be too pleased that I got lost whilst here." She admitted, though she suspected that some of the students, if they were fans of her music would be more than happy to 'rescue' the music icon. "Thank you, I don't suppose rescuing and aiding a damsel in distress counts as one of your extracurriculars?" Rise asked, her tone joking but she was semi serious. He could if need be use this situation to boost his standing at UA, helping out someone in need, hero work right?
At his question. "About half an hour... Or so." Rise confessed awkwardly, feeling her cheeks redden slightly. "My best friend called my upset so I stopped to talk to her privately." She then added to explain just how she managed to get herself lost. "I was not about to be rude and disrupt the tour by talking on the phone the whole time." Sadly, by the time Rise had finished, she had been left well and truly behind, stranded in the middle of a strange campus. "I... I don't know, it was in one of these... Ground Beta test things? I... I have been wandering for a bit then realising I was completely lost I sat down and tried to think of a better plan. But then you came along." She gave him a nervous smile.
