Though Lockon came off as the type to act as a lone wolf when it came to missions, he wasn't proud or stupid enough to actually make good on that supposed reputation. Even for small jobs against strung-out drug dealers, like the ones he was being sent in to subdue, could go disastrously if he didn't go in with a partner. But the rest of the Bloodhounds were either busy, off work, or too far away from him to offer timely assistance. He didn't like having to call in outside assistance, wanting to work with someone whose training and tactics aligned with his, but it was a damn sight better than stumbling in on his own and hoping for the best.
Just as he was wondering where his backup was, however, HQ radioed in, asking to confirm if he could hear them. "Loud and clear." He said, his rifle at the ready, fingers drumming across the grip. He made a mental note to ask the support department for something better suited to tighter spaces - perhaps a pistol that could hold more or specialised nonlethal rounds. He stopped before he went on a mental tangent, however, and listened close to mission control. "Just letting you know that we've managed to secure backup. Shouldn't be more than a couple of minutes away."
He was surprised - usually, it took a little longer to find someone else to tag along with him. Not that there was an extensive vetting process beyond checking that someone's hero ID was legit, but certain jobs called for certain heroes. Lockon supposed that perhaps that part was skipped over, though, given the time-sensitive nature of the mission. "So who am I looking out for?" He asked, glancing slowly from side to side, hoping to catch a glimpse of them. "See for yourself. They should be coming up on you any minute... now."

Bureizu was nearby when he heard the call. Reporting that he, Firebrand, was nearby to assist in this drugbust, he started on his way to the location to meet the other hero involved in taking it down. His quirk would be quite useful if given the high ground. He turned the corner to see Lockon. A pro hero that took on two first years for internships. One Hyousuke Suzuki and Isamu Suzuki if he remembered correctly. Firebrand had his eye on Hyousuke due to his background, but now that he dug a little in Isamu's, he was also interested in the feline student. Well, he'll get to teach both of them next year, assuming they both make it past the exams. "Yo. Not too often I get to work with you, Lockon. So, what are we dealing with this evening?"
Bureizu had worked with Lockon before in the past, all minor jobs. But also not very often either. The man had to go by his wit and gadgets more than his quirk. Where Bureizu's quirk was more than strong enough, he needed gadgets to try to handle those that got too close for him to use his quirk. Strung out drug dealers. Both small fry and desperate. The former not all that much to be concerned with, but the latter...even small fries can do something drastic and super dangerous when put into a corner. Wasn't there a saying about a man with nothing to lose? Or a general purposely allowing himself to be cornered to encourage the men to fight harder? Well, he'd just have to hear more out about a general plan of action from the other hero.

The moment he saw that red head of hair, Lockon knew exactly who he was dealing with. "Bureizu. It's about damn time you came back to Musutafu." Though he'd not worked with the man on any high-profile cases - tending more towards working with other Bloodhounds to make certain that everyone was on the same page more intense moments - he knew enough about him to be sure that he wouldn't have to put the kid gloves on when they were going in. With the pleasantries out of the way, Lockon turned back towards the building, one arm on his rifle while the other motioned towards the apartment.
He motioned upwards, pointing towards a window on the right of the apartments, circling it with his finger for good measure. "There's a drug deal going on up on the second floor. No known affiliations with any major gangs, and intel says that they probably won't have anything worse than a few handguns. The police are leaving this one to us since they don't know what kind of Quirks they've got though, and can't be sure that they're going in prepared enough." His hand went back to the rifle, checking it again before he explained further.
"The plan's simple. I'll take point, and we get in quiet. Go up using the stairs, break down the door, and toss a flash. So long as we catch them off guard, we can drop them before they've got a chance to use their Quirks. It's going to be pretty tight in there, but I don't think there's anything in there we haven't seen before. Any questions?"

Bureizu chuckled. "Now now, we're working. The situation I was working on took a bit longer than expected, but I'm back. Shall we?" The rough hero listened to what was said. A drug deal, no known affiliations to gangs or yakuza or villain groups/names. They were armed with hand guns though. Police was going to sit this one out, making Firebrand frown. Laziness was his thought on that, knowing ones' quirks or not. He watched Lockon check his rifle again.
"So, you want me to stick to the door and fire arrows at anyone that moves? Sounds good to me. My Shotgun Flame could be great to reduce numbers or stun a few of them, so long as the room is large enough. Tight quarters usually means hand to hand. Think you got that covered?" Guns didn't bother him. Close range combat did. A little. If someone had a quirk catered to that, they would be at a disadvantage. But they weren't called pros for no reason.
Upon the go ahead and the answer to his question, Firebrand took off his bow, and followed the other hero. They moved quickly, but also quietly.

"Anything you can't take, I'll clean up. Let's just get this over with quickly - there aren't too many around here that're too happy about heroes snooping around the place. Speaking from experience." Even with the concentrated presence of heroes and police in Musutafu, he supposed that there were always going to be places that weren't as well-covered as the rest, and it was going to take people with a better head for politics than him to see that situation fixed. Regardless, it wasn't his problem at that point in time, and he shifted his thoughts back to getting into the building.
He gave the countdown, flashing his fingers silently so as not to give the game away to any guards posted on the ground floor, and burst in with his rifle drawn to sweep the lobby. While he wasn't particularly surprised to see that there wasn't anyone defending the area - especially since they were nobodies that likely couldn't afford a decent firearm, let alone the people to use them - there was something about the air in the area that felt 'off' to him. Something in his gut that told him that there was more at play than just some two-bit poison peddlers trying to make a quick buck.
He gave the signal to move towards the stairs, and holstered his rifle in favour of his pistol instead. He didn't need the bigger gun's range indoors, and with the size of it, it'd be unwieldy in the corridors and tighter spaces. As quietly as he could manage, he ascended up the stairs, making sure to check past the door to see if there was anyone waiting for them. Part of him counted himself fortunate that there was nobody there, while on the other hand, something unnerved him. The lack of civilians, perhaps? He hadn't even seen one wandering about the area, but since it was the middle of the day, it was likely that the majority weren't even in the complex in the first place. He put it out of his mind, and returned focus to the task at hand.
He repeated the process on the second floor. Look in, sweep the area, and proceed nigh-silently. Heavy though the boots were, he managed to keep himself surprisingly quiet for someone whose Quirk didn't always lend itself to stealth. Before he went on, however, he held up his hand, signalling for Bureizu to hold position. "I don't like this..." He murmured, glancing this way and that, as if he expected something to leap out of the shadows at any second. "There's nobody outside the door, and I can't hear anything past it. Keep your distance and watch my back - if they've got a trap set, I can't have it catching us both."
He signalled to move forward again, though much more cautiously. He stopped to listen at the door, but heard nothing. Just the draught coming in from what was presumably an open window. Once more, he signalled a countdown, letting Bureizu prepare if need be, then breached. A single, forceful, kick was all it took to push open the flimsy wooden door - which wasn't even locked - and Lockon held his pistol in front of him, voice echoing throughout the room. "Freeze! hands in the-" Lockon caught himself before he finished his sentence. Nothing had interrupted him, however. It was the sight before him that did it.
There were five men in the room, each of varying heights and builds, all dressed in casual clothes - jeans, tracksuits, and the like. Nothing that would draw much attention. It was more the fact that not a single one of them was alive that caught Lockon off-guard. Shocked, but still suspicious, Lockon turned his head and signalled for Bureizu to move towards him. He himself stepped forward and began to radio the situation in. "HQ, this is Lockon. We've reached the location. Looks like they had a falling out - no survivors." "Understood. I'll send the police over as soon as I can. Secure the area and make sure there aren't any more hiding in there." "Roger that."

They had a solid plan of action. Firebrand also sweeped with his bow, ready to pull back and fire. Nothing yet. He followed Lockon to the second floor, and heard the murmur. It was too quiet. That was never a good sign. He kept his distance and waited. They became far more cautious and continued. The door wasn't even locked. And the fellow hero stopped the standard line. Frowning, and against his better judgement, he closed and peeked inside. Five men dead. Lockon called it in as Firebrand took a better look at the scene around them. There wasn't much to see, very little if any collateral damage. Definitely unusual if there was a type of falling out.
Taking a closer look at the bodies...they liked like some kind of blade from the wounds he was able to see. Guns were still in their holsters. Only one actually had it out, but it appear that he didn't even have the time to fire it. Bureizu could hear the sirens as police cordoned off the block. The wounds weren't fresh, but they weren't old either. Still, he doubted that the culprit was still in the area. Especially considering how quickly this must have ended. "I don't think it was a falling out. Just someone else showed up and destroyed them so quickly that only one of them could draw. This is old enough that I doubt the culprit is still in the area." The police soon showed up and started to take pictures and everything. Even searched the rest of the place for anyone that may have known what was going on or if they saw or heard anything.

Though he trusted Bureizu’s judgement, Lockon wanted to take a look at the scene for himself. Only a little - so as not to disturb anything and make forensics' job any harder than it needed to be - but the more that he looked, the more something seemed off. "You might be right." He muttered, crouching down by one of the bodies. "Doesn't look like any of them managed to put up a fight. No bullet holes in the wall, and the blood looks like it's been dried a while." A couple of them had managed to draw their guns, but it didn't seem like any of them had managed to fire them.
There didn't seem to be any other signs of a struggle either. In addition to the conspicuous lack of (obvious) bullet holes, it didn't look like the room was in any particularly notable state of disarray either. Moreover, though he couldn't say for certain - being more of a soldier than a forensic investigator - but the wounds on the bodies seemed off to him as well. "Here. Look at the wounds as well. All vital areas. I'm just guessing, but it looks like this probably wasn't just some random knife fight. Looks to me like someone came in here looking to kill these guys, and they were good enough to do it without getting taken down themselves."
He stood up, having looked, but refrained from touching. He'd been on enough cases where some greenhorn had messed up a scene enough that the police had complained to him about investigations taking longer because of it. That aside, he figured it'd be best to leave the investigating to the investigators. The last thing anybody needed was him coming to the wrong conclusions because he missed something vital. Even so, he didn't seem too comfortable about it. "I don't like this. I'm going to make sure that someone keeps me posted on this - anyone that can do this before letting anyone get a shot off's probably going to be dangerous."
Not wanting to risk affecting the scene any more, Lockon made his way out, rifle drawn. He still had to keep others out of the apartment, after all. He waited, keeping an eye on the corridors, though fortunately few people passed them by - and fewer still cared enough about what they were there for to even glance in their general direction, likely just wanting to go about their day without getting involved. Fortunately, it wasn't long before the police arrived to cordon off the area, though with heroes taking care of more immediate problems, he supposed it made sense that the manpower could be spared.
Some quick formalities were exchanged, as well as the promise that he'd stop by the station on the way back to give a report, but it quickly became clear that he wouldn't be needed on the scene. With that apparent, he turned to Bureizu. Though his helmet was still on, it was clear from his voice that the situation had gotten him thinking. "Let me know if anything like this happens when you're out. I'm sure the police'll clue me in if something happens, but even so..."

He'd missed a couple of the others that did have some guns drawn. But otherwise, Lockon had similar ideas. Firebrand joined his colleague where he was at, inspecting one of the more obvious bodies. Paying closer attention, the pink haired man frowned and his eyes narrowed. Precision and speed. Whoever did it was no amateur, that's for sure. Just what they needed here. "I'm half glad internships ended. Even if most don't bring students to high risk areas and all, if someone that can do this and get away unscathed is about in Musutafu, the students are at big risk if they run into them." Lockon gave his own thoughts on the situation. "I don't think 'probably' is the right word. They're most definitely dangerous." There wasn't any doubt in his mind. He followed the other man out and went to the back door to stand guard.
Which was as boring as what one would expect. No one was around at all. Once he saw an officer and did the formalities, he went back towards the front, in time for Lockon to look at him and speak. Giving the man a thumbs up, B spoke up. "No worries. I'll get an alert out. More than likely, you'll get contacted first if anyone runs into something similar, since I do teach after all. I'll have one of my sidekicks keep an ear out. Just let one of them know if you run into anything else similar too. If we double team this, hopefully we'll find the culprit and bring them in." He took out a sucker and plopped one in his mouth. He still had a couple of others, and offered them to the other hero.

Lockon held his hand up briefly, refusing it silently before he responded. "Noted. I'll make sure you're kept in the loop. For now, though, best we can do is wait." He glanced over at the suited men and women, poking at and labelling whatever they could find, the sound of cameras going off behind them as they spoke. "I'm sure I don't need to tell you this, but keep those kids from doing anything stupid. I've got my eye on a couple of them, and if any of my recruits come out of this worse for wear, I'm holding you responsible."
Lockon wasn't entirely incapable of humour, despite the nigh-deadpan delivery and the fact that his expression couldn't be discerned behind the helmet at all. It just took a little getting used to, for most people. "Seriously though. I'm sure I don't need to tell you this, but stay on guard. A lot's been going wrong this year, and not just for UA. You ask me, this all reeks of something bigger. I don't know if all of it's connected or not, but even if we do put this one away, I don't know if I'm going to be able to rest easy for a while." Lockon shook his head a little, and turned towards the exit, nodding briefly to the detective on the scene before he started to head out. "I'll see you around, Bureizu. Don't be a stranger."
