PERSONALITY
LIKES Making thingsSweet things Reading Quiet places | DISLIKES FemalesPeople who try to be nice Seeing people happy Idiots |
RUMOR: | He is an Agalmatophiliac. |
Aya tends to be the sort of person who seems not to show much emotion, both in his tone of voice (which is usually an eternal monotone), and his facial expression which seems to be stuck on a permanent bored look, sometimes with a hint of disdain. In actual fact, he has only very subtle changes in his emotion, (he does have emotions.) and most of the time is rather calm whatever the situation. It takes quite a lot to even genuinely annoy him. He keeps to himself mostly, only socialising in order to form contacts to further his goals and is constantly observing others to see how they can be used to his gain.
He is quite shy and rather socially awkward, though with the way he speaks (when he does) it just usually ends up being perceived as hostility and along with his "creepy" quirk and family background, most normal people have been avoiding him all his life.
One of the things he wanted to do when he was younger was to find "someone special" for himself, like the sort that is depicted in fairy tales, though he has come to understand after becoming an adult, in reality, it's not all that simple and has decided it may not be something possible to obtain for anyone, not just him. He is rather bitter about people who have the things most take for granted in life, such as a loving family, a romantic partner, friends, as somewhere deep inside he would like them all too but also they feel out of his reach.
Even though he is quite smart and knowledgeable about a broad range of subjects because he reads a lot, at times he is pretty naive due to the lack of social interaction with the outside world.
He pretty much takes most things he reads in books and quirk research studies (which he loves reading about almost any quirk) as fact. He enjoys pulling apart and studying unusual or strong quirks of others and analysing them, and to have one of those will get his attention. This is part scientific intrigue and part for a self preservative measure, as anything he cannot see the way to kill is seen as a threat to himself and his allies. He is rather observative in nature, but anything he identifies as pointless or a waste of his time will be cast aside rather rapidly and forgotten.
He finds independence in someone an attractive trait, as well as a hunger for more strength with no holds barred for how one may gain it. He does have respect for those who live with those values, and generally finds those who serve others in an hierarchy system pathetic. He sees selfishness as a positive thing, and dislikes those who try to sound selfless about their actions.
Aya is quite blunt with what he says which can come off rude but he is just truthful most of the time. He is usually well spoken on the occasions he does talk, however when angry or annoyed (which are rare occurrences in itself) his language use becomes far more rough.
He also dislikes being told Aya is a girl's name. He gets it quite often.

BACKGROUND HISTORY
PLACE OF BIRTH/HOMETOWN: | Gunma, Japan |
PARENTS: | Saizen Tsuri/ Ito Maru (father) Alise Seraphine/Golden Angel (mother) |
SIBLINGS: | Raphael Seraphine/Songbird (half brother) |
SIGNIFICANT OTHER: | Onishi Sen (Revenant) |
OTHER: | Kitty (cat, deceased) |
The illegitimate son between two married pro heroes (not to each other), Aya's father wanted nothing to do with him and his mother, who was a rising star in the Japanese hero scene also wanted to get rid of her problem somehow, as her marriage to her husband was well known and they were a celebrity couple of sorts- taking one look at the baby Aya it was clear he looked like his birth father far more than his mother (and nothing like her husband) to the point people would have questioned his lineage if she had claimed him as hers in public. She had considered giving him up for adoption but feared it would be traced back to her someday and opted to send him away to a distant relative's place in the countryside, hoping giving said relative copious amounts of money would make the problem go away. It was unfortunate to say that Aya's now guardian did not spend most of this money on Aya's upbringing, only feeding him and clothing him enough so he was still alive and authorities would not be suspicious.
Aya grew up believing that one day, when his quirk manifested it would be so great and helpful to the world that his mother would be happy with him and tell him that he could live with her as he was aware of who his parents were. He was a quiet and shy child who didn't play much with others and preferred to play by himself, however he found an abandoned kitten one day which he adopted as somehow he felt an affinity with it and it because his only living friend. However he didn't mind much, he liked making dolls out of scraps he found around the house and while scavenging outside which he also played with. Local children found him weird and creepy and teased him alot about his dolls, which upset him but he didn't say anything to them directly.
His quirk manifested when his kitten died- frantic and overcome with grief, he cuddled the lifeless body wishing for it to come back to life and play with him. He stayed at home, not even going to school and after a whole day of Aya in this state, his guardian, frustrated with this child who was cradling a dead carcass forced him to let go of the kitten. "No, he's still alive!" Aya screamed as it was taken away from him and sure enough, it started to move. His guardian dropped it in disgust as it got up and started to move towards Aya, it's limbs moving in unnatural angles and more sliding than walking across the ground, it's head still lolled to one side.
As Aya grew up, his social skills did not improve in the slightest and in fact his interactions got less and less with everyone else as people started to avoid him even more. There were many rumours about him but no one seemed to know the truth. From time to time, he saw his mother and her so-called "Perfect family" in magazines, on the internet and so on and it made him burn with a silent, simmering mix of envy and hate. His mother had seemed to have a son with her husband 8 years after having Aya and the world seemed to be gushing over them as an ideal family even though he knew the truth. Once out of school he started working odd jobs as he was thrown out of his guardian's house as now he was technically an adult and moved out into the city in Osaka.
However he struggled to make ends meet in the big city, his personality and demeanor not being favorable to most of his bosses and he found it hard to get along with coworkers, getting fired from jobs continuously which taxed on his morale even more. He also saw his mother on TV more, around town in adverts and so on and it made him feel even more resentful towards her. He had tried to contact her a few times but he realised now he was being ignored on purpose, fueling his rage further.
He started to turn to petty crimes, hacking in particular to boost his income and he found he enjoyed the misery he was inflicting on others and stopped working a normal job all together and spent his time thinking of ways to make people as unhappy as he was or worse. He started to steal money from his former bosses and other people who had done him wrong in the past, causing some to become so financially devastated they committed suicide, to his delight. He also felt good when he got away with it- he was clearly better, smarter than police or heroes, or at least he liked to think so.
When he saw on a news site that his mother and her husband had died due to a mission gone wrong, it couldn't help but feel like it was just deserts for her though he was disappointed he was not the one to kill her. One of his larger goals in life became to get revenge on his birth father who is still an active pro hero, tear down his reputation and make him meet his end in the most pathetic, miserable way possible and validate his existence. He realised that it was impossible to do this alone, and started to seek criminal contacts and happened to have (in his opinion, an ill-fated) run in with another villain, Sen Onishi, one night when trying to conduct a black market transaction.
After running into each other more than on one occasion and both of them unsucessful in killing each other, they agreed to become crime partners as both of them had skills the other did not and it was mutually agreed they would be useful to each other to further their respective goals.
They agreed that they should start smaller, and the goal that would make the most logical sense would be to take down the Yakuza in the Kansai area first, as they were on Sen's hitlist due to the area boss being his relative and this is what they are currently working towards to achieve.

THE ARMORY
QUIRK & SKILLS
Fantoccini
TYPE: Emitter
RANK/LEVEL: B+
SUMMARY:
As an altered form of a spider quirk, Fantoccini has a few ways Aya uses it in battle and everyday life.
Puppeteer's control-
When Aya touches an inanimate object directly with his fingers for more than 2 seconds, or holds his hand towards an object he wishes to connect with for more than 4 seconds (this has to be within 15 meters range of himself) a thread like connection is made between the object and his fingers that touched the object and he can control its movement, much like a puppet on strings the more fine control he has over it. It CAN be used for dead bodies/dead animals/broken limbs that the person it's attached to has lost control of as it's broken. However it cannot be used to control a conscious person/animal, it will not have much effect on it at all. (It can be done, it will be pointless aside from having a strange synchronizing sensation where he can feel body warmth etc of the thing he is connected to.)
Possession-
It can also transfer between two targets if the first has connected physically with the next, as long as both fill the requirement of being inanimate.
The heavier or larger the object, the more concentration and fingers he needs. Currently, he can only control objects approx max. 150cm in size, but he is training everyday and he hopes to be able to control adult human sized objects soon with fine motor skills so they can do things such as cook, fight etc.
He has to be at least within 15 meters of the object to control it after the contact. He can just about make his dolls Kimi/Ore walk around and follow him with 1 finger contact. With 3 fingers he has enough articulation to do things like make his doll hold weapons, run and attack people with it.
Puppeteer's hold-
He can also use the invisible strings that emit from his fingertips to bind living or moving targets. To do this, he had to have a minimum 3 second physical connection with his fingertips and the target he wishes to bind, and manually wrap the strings around the target like it was rope. It can be loosened or tightened by controlling the hold with his hand. The more fingers he uses, the stronger the bond. Normal humans without boosted strength can be restrained with 2 fingers as standard. Humans with boosted strength will need 3 fingers or more, and after some struggling may be able to break free depending on their strength rank against his own quirk rank.
L'harmonie des lames-
Connecting with his knives he carries, or any other sharp small objects (1 knife per finger maximum) he can throw them and manipulate how they move in the air and the direction they travel.
WEAKNESSES/LIMITATIONS:
In general, he has to stay quite still and have no other major distractions to fight effectively. As a fighting style, he tends to be the controller with many things surrounding him to protect him, once everything has been taken away (weapons, dolls, bombs) he himself is rather feeble in strength as his quirk has no raw offensive or defensive ability. His range limit has to also be put into consideration by himself every time he fights and constantly during battle to make sure he does not lose control of whatever he is controlling.
Anything he does with his quirk takes up minimum a finger (or more) each, so there is ultimately only 10 things maximum he could control/bind/etc at the same time.
If he uses his fingers to bind a target rather than control, he cannot use those fingers for anything else (such as controlling) for the duration that he needs to bind. Binds have the same range limit as his control.
If Aya is distracted enough or is made unconscious, any connections will be dissolved immediately.

Hacker
RANK/LEVEL: B
SUMMARY:
Using his above average knowledge of computers, program coding and other electronic systems, he can hack and gain information, gain control of things such as CCTV, tracking through IP addresses, hacking of networks, security systems, personal computers etc. He can also easily (1 post) break through firewalls and other protection against hacking that are given by a home use, or commercial level that a medium security company or organisation would use. High security systems will take a little more time (2 posts) to break. Any higher (Government high security etc) will result in far more time taken than average, (3-4 posts) or failure depending on situation.
Explosives Expert
RANK/LEVEL: C+
SUMMARY:
Aya can produce explosives to use in combat, produced in his workroom at his home from various chemicals. Currently this is limited to small scale things such as flash grenades and bombs that work well with his quirk, either by throwing them and detonating them remotely or attaching them to small dolls that will move to a target more accurately than just throwing it. At this ability tier, flash grenades and small bombs, around the intensity of a moltov cocktail are certain to go off. Slightly larger bombs that would blow open heavier doors etc have a 1 in 3 chance of not detonating. currently, he cannot make anything larger than this.
Analyst
RANK/LEVEL: C+
SUMMARY:
Being more observative than most people, Aya can analyse an opponent or alley and be able to theorise their actions or quirks/abilities by being able to pick up on more slight or minute clues in situations he has been put in to aid in combating them, or to think of ways to utilise allies better. This can be in form of combo abilities with allies, synergising with the other’s quirk to help them push a little further than usual or using his quirk in unique ways to fit their needs.
Current established combo examples:
Combo name: Anchor
Partner PC: Sen Onishi
By using Puppeteer’s control on him and the connection stabilising Sen's emotional state enough to be able to keep him in his Onryo form 1 more post turn than without, as long as connection isn’t broken. Same range limit as his control. Takes up 5 fingers.
This combo requires both of them to be on the battle field at the same time for it to be most effective.
Currently analysis takes 2+ posts to complete of Aya being in constant contact with a subject for the first time to come to effect. If a subject meets with Aya for the second and more times, the ability will be effective from the start.
Projectile Proficiency
RANK/LEVEL: CSUMMARY:
From repeated use in actual combat, and help from his crime partner in training sessions, Aya can now throw and use small sharp bladed weaponry (knives, shuriken, shards of glass, etc) so he can hit most targets that are moving predictably directly, being ideal for surprise attacks. Travelling direction the blades that have been thrown can be manipulated via his quirk as long as it is in the range stated in his quirk description. Anything further distance travelled than that will be subject to normal gravity/wind and other factors and he will lose control of them if they leave the distance limit of his quirk.
