To the average eyes, Sen appears to look like any other normal kid. Maybe a little too ordinary, maybe even "too pretty" to some. Grey eyes, black hair, pale complexion, slightly-taller-than-average height; ordinarily, he might blend in well in a crowd. He seems, to the average eye, a quick study, but he is anything but simple and even less quick to read (under most circumstances). Sen is "loud," not so much (entirely) in voice but in appearance, his expressions range a few million and he isn't shy about showing his displeasure.
He adapts well to his surroundings, dressing and changing his expression and appearance to meet the requirements of his environment. Ranging between either well-kempt to lazy depending on the company he keeps. He is ordinary, mild-mannered or so it seemed, until he is not. And then, it's like a fucking bomb went off in the room. At night, he dresses to impress (himself, of course), dressing in classic "swag." A black ankle-length tail coat, a silver high-necked vest, red gloves, black winklepickers, and black slacks.
In his Onryō form he appears as such: [image]. In Onryō form, he stands at about 8 foot (243 cm) tall. Though his size often differs, depending on how much Sen is in control of Onryō at that moment, the more he loses control the larger the demon appears.

PERSONALITY
LIKES Cats Himself Spicy Food Fighting | DISLIKES |
SECRET: | He enjoys cuddling |
Sarcastic | Angry | Manipulative | Dramatic | Sadistic | Chaotic | Lonely |
TLDR: A mean-ass motherfucker with a sharp, inappropriate tongue and enough salt to rival the ocean. He will probably lie, rob, and attempt to kill you at least once in your lifetime. Will sell his soul for cats.
Since the day Sen was born, he had been thrust onto a chess board and told that if he was to be of any true worth than he would conquer all opponents that dared to play the game. Wit was the most desired of qualities and he learned that along with wit came cleverness and the capacity to fabricate lies on the spot, with no regard for the consequences or harm that followed.
His family life had been a mirage of lacquered aristocracy, white lies spilling from toothy grins dotted with the blood of unsuspecting opponents. It had been a test, a fight, a battlefield where one either conquered or fell. He is for lack of better comparison, a player. The best of the best and he believes that no one will get the better of him, he is the ultimate con-man.
However, there was one miscalculation that his parents had failed to beat out of him, his impulsiveness. Sen is an aggressor in every sense of the word, seeking victory no matter the cost and the more blood the better. It wasn't that his confidence was lacking, but he seeks validation for his own superiority (to prove the very thing that his parents had told him all his life: you are better than everyone else.)
Sen is cold, callous, and destructive with very little control over his temper. He enjoys inflicting enough pain to bring about the greatest suffering, but he can be messy with it. Things become personal to him and that's one of his greatest flaws. Sen was not always like this, he felt pain and love and desire, but the sensations were swallowed away. All his softness was chipped away and grew tough beneath the callouses. He was made into a soldier, cast from the toughest iron. He is also a closet cat lady and extremely competitive at video games. He's mostly just a lonely jerk that doesn't know how to deal with people without attempting to murder them at least once. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

BACKGROUND HISTORY
PLACE OF BIRTH/HOMETOWN: | Tokyo, Japan |
PARENTS: | Onishi Ryui (father, incarcerated) Onishi Yana née Sokolova (mother) |
SIBLINGS: | none currently known <.< |
SIGNIFICANT OTHER: | a cat somewhere & |
OTHER: | every cat ever is his child |
When Sen was no more than eight years old, he learned the art of war. He decoded the inflection of lies on chiseled smiles, guarded behind white teeth and articulated with the slightest curl of their expression. By the time he was ten, the game had all but burned the remaining cinders of adolescence from his bones. He was a conqueror. His family was corporate royalty, not by blood but by money and sway and the impression of power they could summon in a closed fist. The Onishi corporation is known to create the best technology, weaponry, and armors in Japan, but not only for the heroic half of society.
He first learned bitterness, and then betrayal. He learned hardship and the taste of blood that came with the decay of trust. The lessons that came from living in a pit of vipers, which taught him to trust in no one but himself. It made him capable, it prepared him for his destiny, but it deprived him of soul. Love became but a bitter rotten fruit at the core of his chest, forgotten and ignored. For the better, he figured. For nothing was gained by loving blindly. He loved only one being, the only friend he'd ever had, a demon that would visit him in the dead of night.
It was only naturally that the prodigy his family created, would betray them as well. They only had themselves to blame, in the end, waving their dirty laundry about. He watched his parent's kingdom crumble after being caught with dirty fingers in the company funds. It was self-ruination, of course, because he was to be the heir of it all and yet inheritance tasted so bland compared to the chaos. If he wanted to erect a kingdom from the ashes, he'd do it without their money. If he wanted to destroy everything, he'd do it without hesitation.
Sen's criminal history starts with a personal grudge, of course. Against his family, which has some of the most powerful people in the city in their pockets. After refusing to continue his family's legacy, he instead decides to destroy theirs and create his own. The first thing he does is get his father arrested (and so he does), and the scandal hits his family's business hard, forcing them to lean more on the illegal connections, primarily their connections to the Yakuza.
His next step is to dismantle every connection they have with the Yakuza. It is during an attack against a small boss, that he runs into another villain, Aya Tsuri (The Marionettist). This same man would later inexplicably become his crime-partner after agreeing to aid each other in their personal vendettas. Their first goal being to deconstruct the Yakusa in Kansai and consequently kill his uncle, Onishi Enki.
Together the two manage to make quite a name for each other (though it's mostly out of luck that they even manage to survive). Seeing a rather disproportionate amount of new villains without a cause, they have recently decided to create connections that they can use to further their own goals.

QUIRK & SKILLS
ONRYO
TYPE: Transformation
RANK/LEVEL: B+
SUMMARY:
Onryō is a transformation quirk that allows Sen to momentarily shift into a sentient, shadowy being of the same name (Onryō). In this form, he has ghost physiology that allows him to phase through solid objects and become completely ethereal. Onryō is capable of both ethereal and solid form, making him a primarily formidable stealth attacker. He has long claws, which he can use to strike and cleave with enough formidable strength to cut through most shields and body armors. In Onryō form, sen is also stronger and faster than average humans. He also has an natural immunity to any dark-based attacks and natural healing ability when submerged in shadow. Full transformation is triggered either at night or when submerged in darkness; however, it is used only as a trump card (because it exhausts him). He is capable of tapping into Onryō's powers and can use it for phasing, invisibility, or partial transformation (such as a quick slash or strike). Onryō is a sentient being so exists within Sen like a second conscience, an "imaginary" being that he has communicated with since he was a child (aka it talks to him).
ABILITIES: Sen can transform for about 1 minute (3-4 turns) max, the longer its extended the harder it is to control Onryō and greater likeliness to lose control or attack an ally (or even himself). This duration is extended to 1 minute and 20 seconds (4-5 posts) when "anchored" (meaning he has an emotional connection keeping him tied to the physical world), the anchor used to be an old watch but is now his crime partner, The Marionettist; however, there is currently a distance limit where he must stay within 15 meters of the other man. He is capable of phasing with two other people or an object of similar weight max, but it tires him out after about two or three times phasing (more times with less weight), but there may be a strange side effect of possibly transferring genetic traits (oops???). He is capable of more complex phasing such as stealing an object from a closed space (ie: locked safe) or even damaging the internal anatomy of an enemy; however, it requires great focus in order to do so (1 whole post per attempt at least). In Onryō form he is capable of a "ghostly shriek" that has the capacity to render some enemies dazed through minor petrification (though some enemies may prove immune to this attack, it depends on body weight, less weight = more likeliness). He also has fairly good night vision in situations where the lights go out.
WEAKNESSES/LIMITATIONS:
Onryō is only fully capable at night or fully submerged in shadow/darkness, with a natural weakness for light, otherwise Sen is only capable of tapping into the power such as phasing or invisibility. He cannot shift if weakened by direct light (usually requires a post length of light in order to weaken him). He can only shift into Onryo for a minute, at this point, and using this ability results in mental instability and lethargy, extending it doubles this effect making Sen extremely unhinged.
Onryō is a parasite and may behave on its own will, taking advantage of any weakness that Sen shows. The stronger that Sen gets, the stronger Onryō becomes and the harder it is for Sen to keep him contained. It relies entirely upon Sen's capability to remain in control and level-headed, which is becoming harder as Onryō grows emotionally. Onryō is fueled by emotions and, as such, sen's emotional control has become unhinged as of late. He also requires an "anchor", that keeps his mind tethered to reality (without such his control time is severely cut down). Not to mention the nasty possibility of phasing going wrong.
When he is intangible there is very little to no solid matter that can harm him, but he must become tangible in order to attack, which gives a moment of vulnerability. Onryo specifically is vulnerable to light and sound waves, having to do mainly with the work of vibrations that disturbs his molecules in this form:
1. Direct electromagnetic energy, specifically light radiation, produced by strong oscillating electric charges has a natural impact against Onryō's form and weakens him, making his lose shape and return to Sen's natural form. However it requires a decent sized light, a flashlight wont throw him out of balance but a search light most certainly will.
2. Sounds (specifically high frequency sounds) may result in his form becoming unstable and thus making phasing very dangerous. The vibrations from sound waves cause a disturbance in particular mediums (liquid, solid, gas) and in this case, the medium is Onryō.

COMBATANT
RANK/LEVEL: B-
SUMMARY:
Sen's skills have evolved primarily in the field of combat, shifting from longer-term planning to quicker and more adaptable combat-oriented planning. His plans are easy to change and shift under unpredictable circumstances. He has adapted beyond non-combat to blatantly combative, but still relies on quick tactical weapons (such as knives) and quick brutal attacks that can throw his enemies off balance. However, his patience (or rather lack of chill) can still throw him into an angry frenzy, forgetting all strategy entirely.
ENHANCED SPEED
RANK/LEVEL: C+
SUMMARY:
Sen is capable of moving moderately faster than average capacity. His quirk adds an illusory effect that makes him seem as if he is darting in and out of sight, making him a particularly hard person to catch. While it is nowhere near the speed he is capable of in Onryō form nor is it necessarily that much faster than average, he uses his physical capabilities partnered with his quirk to create the illusion of greater speed. His reflexes are also greater than the average human (more along the lines of a trained acrobat), which helps him to phase whenever an attack is thrown or react faster whenever he isn't currently phasing.
WEAPON PROFICIENCY
RANK/LEVEL: B-
SUMMARY:
Primarily, Sen relies on knife and blade weapons, anything that quick and easy to use in a battle. This is mostly to cut down on the amount of times he has to use his quirk and keeps his transformation from being revealed too early on. He's not afraid of adding poison to the blade (something he learned from his lovely mother) or knifing someone when they least expect it. He is also very good with projectile throwing, which he had taught his partner in crime as well.
