FC NAME (SERIES): | yuri seo (CLOSERS) |
Katrina is an exceptionally beautiful woman. Though short, her severe demeanor and general aura of power marks her as someone to be listened to. Long, lustrous hair, black as ink, is nearly at odds with the brilliantly blue eyes, like slivers of the frozen ocean. This is in comparison to her pale features and rather curvy frame. Typically, her hair is worn back in a severe ponytail, to keep the long strands from her face; however, when outside of school hours, it is in a variety of different styles, though most commonly worn loose and unfettered. Similarly, she is rarely found to be wearing make-up, save for her long nails, which he typically paints an iridescent gold or blue. The only exception to this are formal gatherings, where the use of make-up is expected; but even then, she barely wears any at all, just a touch of lipstick and the lightest eyeshadow.
Her style is best described as “sharp and sensible.” In most situations where she is around those she deems ‘professional allies’, she wears a modified business suit. The long-sleeve white undershirt and blazer have been replaced by short-sleeve variants, and the wearing of leggings is done only under caution that things may be … hot; high heels are normally worn with more practical, more breathable stockings. The reason for this is quite simple; her Quirk, Phoenix Flame, ignites at quite small amounts of friction, such as the amount generated by a cotton sleeve continuously rubbing against the skin. So she’s improvised. Despite the modified look, she still manages to look both regal and stern at all times.
In situations where formality is not required, however, her outfit is somewhat relaxed, though not by much. A short-sleeve button up, typically white or similar colors, combined with a pencil skirt or similar and relaxed shoes, of which she many different varieties every color of the rainbow. The only exception to her ‘short-sleeve’ rule is when she home; there, she tends to wear a variety or robes, kimono’s, or other simple wraps that are breathable and cool, but can be divested of in a moments notice, just in case an accident happens.
Regardless of what she is wearing, Katrina’s sheer force of personality is something to overcome. The way she carries herself, the way she talks, even breathes is that of importance. Every moment is carefully calculated, every action purposeful and deliberate. For most people, to say a wrong word could ignite someone’s passions; for Katrina, the wrong move could ignite someone. So every movement is careful, even the stepping of her feet ones she carefully considers before taking. The mere action of putting her hand in someone else’s is one she must approach carefully.
Failure to do so could be disastrous.

This is where the largest part of your app goes, the history of your character. Don't be afraid to go into detail, the more detailed the more established your character is. A character that has worked themselves up the ranks is more likely to have a more detailed historical biography. Try to keep it 200 word minimum for basic lower-level characters. Also keep things as realistic as possible, tragedy does not automatically create interesting characters nor does extremism (for every 17 year old school girl that has murdered 40 people in a single year without detection a puppy dies, keep this in mind). Have fun with it though~
THE ARMORY
To suit her Quirk, her Hero Suit was designed with mobility in mind, with a secondary emphasis on protection. Aesthetically, it’s a weird amalgamation of leather, cloth, and metal. Three layers make up the full suit, each designed to give her the greatest advantage possible in a combat scenario. Each layer, regardless of its intended purpose, it is incredibly fire-retardant (but not entirely) and made of the highest quality materials, designed to be durable and modest, but breezy enough that she doesn’t set everything on fire.
The first layer is simply a unitard, as pitch black as her hair. This seems to barely cover anything, ending just above her bust and covering her crotch and everything in between, but completely bare on the back and limbs. This exists purely as a last resort, in case her Quirk gets out of control. Unlike the other layers, it has no special advantages or abilities that help in combat. It is, however, nearly completely fireproof, and the vast majority of the time immune to the flames emitted by Phoenix Flame. This unitard is simply a last-ditch effort to not be completely naked if the worst happens.
The second layer is where the fun begins. Her hair is typically tied back and covered in a cloth tied under the neck, so as to prevent any stray flames from setting her locks on fire. A similar cloth is tied over her mouth, somewhat masking her appearance. A vest-like blouse covers her chest; thick leather, the buttons are large and steel, and they button up the center. A skirt, cut at a diagonal, protects her modesty. Her Phoenix Gauntlets and Greaves cover her hands and feet respectively.
Over the normal clothing are some small bits of armor, along with the utility belt and all her gear. Specifically, hard metal pads on her elbows and knees, to protect her from the rigors of her particularly vigorous form of combat. Each are small metal caps, just large enough to protect what they are intended to, and kept in place by three straps, designed to protect without impeding mobility.
All these items are, of course, suitably fireproofed for her proof.
Aesthetically, her Hero Suit is built in muted colors, mainly red and golds. The primary color is a dark red, almost black, though when the sun hits, the crimson is obvious; this is outlined with gold trim and buttons, a sharp construct. Golden thread, additionally, is built into the chest, arms, and legs, in the form of feathers, to give the look of some sort of bird.

QUIRK & SKILLS
PHOENIX FLAME
TYPE: Emitter
RANK/LEVEL: A
SUMMARY: Phoenix Flame is, in theory, a powerful Quirk.
Katrina possesses a specialized organ, connected to her apocrine sweat glands, that originate from her Quirk. Like the aforementioned sweat glands, these organs generate a liquid that is secreted through the skin, mixing with her sweat; this liquid is a highly potent phosphorus compound, igniting with sufficient force or kinetic energy. Sufficient in this case, unfortunately, means “very little”. Whenever she sweats, this liquid is excreted as well, tainting her sweat a light golden color. This liquid is particularly concentrated in her hands, feet, legs, and arms, though is excreted in lesser amounts throughout the rest of the body, including the scalp of her head.
This liquid seems like sweat for all intents and purposes, save for the slight golden color and a somewhat grainy feel. While the liquid itself is harmless, extended contact to it will cause the skin to become rough and grainy itself, though this requires years of continuous contact to have any noticeable effect; Katrina, for example, has to moisturize daily or her skin on her legs and feet become scale-like. When activated, Phoenix Flame is golden in color and emits a scent like strawberries, for some reason; long years of study have yet to yield a proper answer.
But what does it do?
Phoenix Flame is, ostensibly, a Fire-Type Quirk, but unlike any that have been seen yet. Due to the nature of the chemical released through her skin, Phoenix Flame is, in essence, kinetic fire. That is, the faster she moves and the harder she hits, the hotter and bigger the flames are. Even the smallest movement can set off these flames, from something as small as a flick. To fully utilize this Quirk, Katrina tends to utilize wide sweeping kicks and punches to maximize the heat and (literal) firepower of her Quirk.
As previously stated, the faster she moves, the harder she hits, and the more chemical available, the larger the fire and hotter the flame. A normal punch, from a standing position, can deliver a burst of flame hot enough to burn clothing and char skin in a fist-sized diameter.. A standing kick is three times as powerful, incinerating most types of clothing and delivering first degree burns. From here, it only gets stronger. Doubling the force doubles the size and heat. Each post she is spent “sweating” - active combat, high heat, or other situations that may cause similar sweat - the heat and size of the flames doubles.
There are no hard limits to Phoenix Flame. At the beginning of a combat situation, or in any normal situation where her apocrine glands are not hyperactive, her flames are as previously stated, approximately 230 degrees Fahrenheit; just enough to burn clothing and leave first degree burns on flesh, with a size about half a foot in diameter. For every post she is spent sweating, this doubles from the previous size. At one post, the fire burns at nearly 460 degrees, with the size of the flame increasing to a foot in diameter; at two posts, the fire burns at 920 degrees, the size of the flame increasing to a foot in diameter, and so on. By four posts, the flames she produces from her normal punches are hot enough to warp steel, and by six posts are hot enough to instantly melt steel. The unique chemical composition and the way she moves is designed to focus the flame outwards, to minimize collateral damage, but it does have a limit; specifically, by four posts, the size and heat of the flames are enough to burn her.
In addition to time spent increasing the power of the flames, movement increases the power similarly. Specifically, the faster she moves, the hotter and bigger the subsequent flame is. A normal straight punch has the standard temperature; for each post spent running, or running more than ten feet, the temperature and size increases by 20 percent. This is exponential; the 20 percent increased upon the heat and size of the current flame, not the base. This also applies to the per-post increase, as well. This increase also applies to things such as falling, so long as she doesn’t somehow slow the fall.
Once Katrina has reached a significant level of heat - approximately five posts without using a Super Move - the chemical build-up on her skin reaches a critical level. Every movement, even moving, ignites the phosphorus compound, turning her into a walking pyre. Though her clothes are mostly fireproofed, they aren’t completely resistant, and should she stop, it can completely consume her. However, the benefits of this are great; the heat causes her to generate more sweat, doubling the rate of the heat and size of her flames per post. Using a super move sets this timer back by an amount equal to the amount of posts it takes to build up; for example, Phoenix Wing sets this timer back by one, but Phoenix Burst will set the timer back by two.
Phoenix Flame only emits fire and smoke, no explosive force.
~APPLICATIONS/SUPER MOVE~
Super Move: Phoenix Wing: Requires one post without using her flames and one post cooldown. The sweat generated from her body has built up, allowing her to use this technique. A large sweep of her limb ignites the phosphorus compound, creating a massive burst of flames capable of leaving scorch marks on steel. The build-up of the chemical compound has increased the range and size of this ability; Phoenix Wing extends five feet behind and out from her limb in an arc, and follows the movement of the limb.
Super Move: Phoenix Shield: Requires one post without using her flames and a two post cooldown. The chemical compound her body generates has gathered on her body. At command, she can twirl, cross her arms and then break them, even stomp - any dynamic action will do - which activates this Super Move. A dome of flame briefly surrounds for approximately three seconds, burning with golden flames hot enough to warp steel. While this is used defensively, it can be used offensively if used right. After use, Katrina cannot generate any more of her chemical compound for a post, due to exhaustion.
Super Move: Phoenix Claw: Requires one post without using her flames and a one post cooldown. Sweat has built up on her body and is ready to be used. Focusing the flame in one hand, she is capable of melting steel in seconds by placing her hand against it. While this is happening, her hand is wreathed in a golden flame. Phoenix Claw greatly burns whichever hand it was used on, delivering second-degree burns through fireproof clothing, and third degree burns without. Once used, Katrina cannot generate her chemical compound for one post.
Super Move: Phoenix Burst: Requires two posts without using her flames and a two post cooldown. Sweat has greatly built up on her body, becoming dangerous to not use. Katrina sets off at a run, the sweat on her body building up as she does so. After approximately ten feet, it ignites, the force of the flame temporarily tripling her running speed so long as she continues to run. Phoenix Burst cannot be used if she has gone five posts in combat or high heats, and once it is used, it cannot be used again in a thread or a 24-hour period. Additionally, it covers Katrina in second-degree burns and burns through any non-fireproofed clothing.
Super Move: Phoenix Taking Flight: Requires two posts without using her flames and a three post cooldown. Sweat has greatly built up on her body, becoming dangerous to not use. Flames wreath her as she activities this ability, either through some dynamic action or other kinetic activator. Using the power of the flames, she takes flight, either vertically or horizontally. While this can be used to reach higher places, the flames burning around her are powerful enough to warp stone. If she does not impact with another person or thing during Phoenix Takes Flight, she takes no damage. However, if she uses it offensively, typically by slamming bodily into the person, she suffers second-degree burns to her body, third degree burns to her arms and legs, and all flammable materials burn off her. Additionally, after usage, Katrina cannot generate sweat for two posts.
WEAKNESSES/LIMITATIONS:
Every quirk has limitations and every person has weaknesses, be it natural (such as fire vs. ice), physical limitations (such as quirks that require physical contact or a fighter that is just close contact/long distance.), or even personality flaws. For say every two strengths there should be a weakness that balances him out. There should always be atleast ONE mortal weakness stated that will cause great damage to any character which is exploitable. Again, put any drawbacks caused by over reaching etc in POST COUNTS, along with how long they last in POST COUNTS/REST OF THREAD ETC. Weakness is what makes them human, its character-defining. Saying that a fire-user is vulnerable to just ice isn't gonna cut it, dig deep and play fair. Please read the quirk section of the Guidebook for more guidance on weaknesses.

SUMMARY:
A good paragraph explaining the details of this skill, remember that it will coordinate with their skill level.
- Skills are what a NORMAL human can learn with enough time and practice/talent.
- Anything supernatural or breaking force of nature is a QUIRK so bear that in mind!
- Skills and quirks cannot overlap (E.g Strength boost skill + strength quirk)- So pick one please!
- In general, someone with a non combatant quirk will be allowed more higher level skills and vice-versa with combat oriented quirks being regulated to lower end skills..
