Quiet trip to the mall
⤜or is it?⤛
The last time that Mitsuko and Kuro were left to their own devices was a few days ago when they had an impromptu training session. She had accidentally stumbled upon Kuro attempting to gain footing in the lessons their teacher had given in class. She noticed that her classmate lacked self-confidence and had offered to use her quirk on him. Unfortunately, she was a bit headstrong and did not stop when she probably should have. She still didn’t have the specifics of what had happened after she passed out from the pain of her quirk being active for too long. All she really recalled afterward was waking up in the infirmary with a pounding headache. The day after, she was excused from classes and just hid out in her dorm room. Mitsu was almost certain that Kuro was blaming himself for what happened. She recalled her bright phone screen left open on the messaging app, trying to attempt to compile a thank you and I’m sorry message to Kuro. However, the lack of number and the embarrassment of passing out during the training session - even when just about over - prevented her from doing so. Mitsuko felt consumed by guilt and embarrassment, she had to make it up to Kuro somehow.
Today, being the beginning of a weekend, was the day she decided to make it up to Kuro. After getting dressed in a white turtleneck, sleeveless, crop top, dark grey shorts with a yellow and black striped belt, dark grey thigh high stockings, and black and red sneakers, Mitsuko made a quick call to summon a cab. After the call, Mitsuko slid on a baggy-sleeved magenta jacket and made her way from her own dorm to Kuro’s. She would knock on his door, and the moment it opened, she would grab him proclaiming they were heading off to the mall. She was prepared to pay for their entire excursion off of the campus today. She tried to keep her body relaxed around Kuro, but she was definitely tense and it was difficult to hide it. Guilt and embarrassment had been eating her away and probably wouldn’t stop until she finally apologized. She was very much wrapped up in her thoughts the entire duration of dragging the poor boy out to the mall. It wasn’t until they were actually there did she finally organize her thoughts.
“Um, Kuro,” she began, her cheeks feeling hot. She tried to look him in the eyes, but instead her green eyes peered downward in shame, “I wanted to apologize and just… say…” she hesitated, her bottom lip quivering a bit, “I am sorry about the other day. I’m extremely embarrassed I passed out on you. I know my limits and I shouldn’t have tried to push myself.” Her apology had tumbled out of her mouth, almost too quickly. However, if she couldn’t get it out - she feared she never would have. She forced herself to take a deep breath, and wait for his response. She kept her eyes down, at least until he spoke.
