Hone is a slightly larger than average size male for his age, given his mixed heritage of Asian and European descent. The two most stand out features he possesses are his naturally bald head, and his missing left hand. On his left arm where his hand should be, there appears to be a small cap over his amputation made of bone. He typically wears a loose fitting kimono, of which he frequently slips his arm into, as if to hide it, and pretend there is a hand there.
In terms of a Hero costume, due to his ability to move his bones out of his skin, wears a simple gray bodysuit due to the potential damage he himself can inflict on it if panicked. He typically wears this under his kimono, of which he’ll slide off his shoulders when preparing to fight.

RUMOR/SECRET: | The only reason he was given a place at UA was due to his father’s former influence. |
Kata is an exceptionally quiet person, due to his confidence issues. Given his disability, along with a quirk that could be misconstrued as a "villain" quirk, he has been affected by self-confidence issues for the majority of his life. However, it should be noted that just because he spends a great deal of time on his own, that he would not enjoy a friend. It is typically his self-conscious nature that prevents him from approaching others, and subsequently, he is forced to wait for them to approach him. Should they do so, however, they will find a friend that is unquestionably loyal, typically to a self-detrimental level.
He also has a great deal of pride in his family. His father, a retired pro-hero, is someone of whom Kata looks up to greatly, and wishes to emulate him. His disability has hindered that somewhat in that dream, but through a lot of hard work in his studies, his attempts at mastering his quirk, and a little luck (although probably a lot less then he believes it is) he hopes to become a hero not just for those who need one, but also one that his father can be proud of. This would go some way of explaining why he is frequently found studying books, specifically science, in an attempt to understand how to use his quirk better.

BACKGROUND HISTORY
PLACE OF BIRTH/HOMETOWN: | Hokkaido, Japan |
PARENTS: | Tsuchi Kata/Grace Wilkins |
SIBLINGS: | None |
SIGNIFICANT OTHER: | None |
OTHER: | None |
Kata Hone is the son of Kata Tsuchi, AKA: Chasm, a former Pro-Hero from Hokkaido. During his days being a Hero, Tsuchi had reached the rank of Pro, working within the mountainous region mostly on rescue missions by using his quirk of Earth manipulation to dig through any landslide that had occurred. During one of these rescue missions, Tsuchi happened to find a young woman, by the name of Grace Wilkins, a tourist from England. The pair quickly fell in love and got married, before they gave birth to their son, Hone.
Hone was a lively child, mostly watching his father on the local news saving people, giving him a life-long passion for following in his footsteps, however, there was a problem. Grace was quirkless, and as Hone began to grow older, it was believed he had followed in her genes, rather than Tsuchi. That all quickly changed when Hone turned the age of 7.
Tsuchi had gained a reputation around the Hokkaido area as a true professional, however, with many victories came many enemies. One of which had decided that he was going to go straight for where Tsuchi lived.
As Hone slept, he was awoken by crashing and screaming coming from elsewhere in the house. Quickly he got up and went to investigate, before finding his mother bleeding on the floor with a shadowy figure standing over her. Slowly, the figure turned its attention to Hone, and went after him, grabbing his left wrist as Hone attempted to run away, but to no avail. It was then, in that moment of panic, his quirk activated.
The bones in his elbow had formed together, before spreading like a disk, and severing the arm that the villain grabbed clean off, before he passed out from the shock.
When he awoke in the hospital later, he was told the bad news. While his father got there in time to save him, he was too late to save his mother. To add to this, the disk in his arm had remained through his time unconscious, and couldn’t be removed, meaning there was no hope of reattaching his lower arm.
In one night, he had lost both his arm and his mother.
Tsuchi decided that after his failure to protect his family from danger, he didn’t deserve to be a hero anymore. He quickly retired from being a Pro-Hero and returned his licence, deciding to move into civilian life in order to be there for Hone. Hone, however, had quite a different reaction.
While Tsuchi had decided to move away from the Hero life, Hone wanted to dive further into it. He honed in on his studies to the detriment of everything else. He needed to become stronger. He needed to become smarter. He needed to learn what he could about his quirk in order to help people, and become the hero that he failed to be that night.

QUIRK & SKILLS
Bonesetter
TYPE: Emitter
RANK/LEVEL: D
SUMMARY:
Kata has the quirk of detecting, controlling, and shaping calcium. He has the ability to control the calcium within his own body, causing him to mold and adapt his bones to what use he needs, namely creating rudimentary tools out of his missing left arm (spike, mace, hammer ect), however, would need more time to make more complex shapes. He is not limited to only emitting his calcium out of his lost arm, but can push it out of his body through his pores, potentially leading to the creation of an exoskeleton if given enough time and determination.
He also has the ability to detect large amounts calcium outside of his body within 3 meters. It has been theorised that he may be able to use that calcium in some way in the future, however, this has never been put into practise.
At present, Taka can create any basic shape out of his left arm, up to a foot without difficulty, giving him basic melee weapon at all times. However, should it be broken off without him reabsorbing the calcium, any duplication he makes will put considerable stress on his body, and make him subsequently weaker as a target. (1 foot melee weapon from left arm can be open for unlimited posts, however, will take one post if attempting to change the shape of. Should it be broken, and he recreates another to replace it, it will last 5 posts before it must be retracted, and Taka will be a considerably weaker target. Should the second one get damaged, it will last 2 posts, and Taka will be heavily damaged until he has replenished the calcium in his body.)
Taka can create a singular three foot spike out of any part of his body when panicked in self defense, with the strength of high density bone, however this would swiftly put him out of action as his body recuperates from the shock, and reabsorbs the calcium by retracting the spike back into himself. (3 foot defense spike will last exactly one post. Taka will then be incapacitated for 3 posts as his body recovers, and will be highly susceptible to secondary attacks, however, will still maintain the ability to think. Any attempt at doing this again within 10 posts will likely lead to his body going into complete shock, and incapacitate him for the remainder of the thread.)
To counter this, Taka has begun carrying around a large supply of calcium supplements that he can consume to replenish any calcium that he has lost. (Taka can consume calcium tablets, or any other form of calcium in one post. Performing this action will allow him either to gain two posts of action (second foot long melee weapon will last 7 posts instead of 5, and third foot long melee weapon will last 4 posts instead of 2), or assist with his recovery for one post (Three foot self defense spike will only take two posts of recovery). He will typically only be able to carry enough to do this once per fight, unless he can source the calcium at the scene.)
It should be noted that while Taka can easily sense the calcium in people's bodies around him, he cannot control how their bodies process that calcium, and as such, this information is purely used for detection. (Taka cannot control either the bones or the bodily functions of any player or character.)
WEAKNESSES/LIMITATIONS:
Calcium is one of the most important chemicals in the human body, having its use throughout almost every function the body has. As such moving it around the body without considerable care can cause many drawbacks, potentially leading to hypocalcemia (too little calcium in the body), which causes (but is not limited to) memory loss, hallucinations, muscle spasms (potentially leading into full blown seizures), muscle cramps, numbness, depression, chest pains and heart attacks, cataracts, impaired intellectual capacity and personality changes, fainting, and death.
Kata, however, can also be affected by hypercalcemia (too much calcium in the body), which can lead to kidney problems, digestive problems, dehydration, bone weakness and pain, muscle weakness and pain, confusion, lethargy and fatigue, heart palpitations and arrhythmia, stroke, and death.
A lack of calcium also affects the development of hair and nail growth, which is the reason why Kata is naturally bald at age 15.
Attempting to dissolve your bones quickly and reshape them also has the drawback of being exceptionally painful. A reason why he focuses all his efforts on his missing arm unless forced to do otherwise is because with that wound (and the protruding bone cap over it), it is less painful then forcing it out through his skin, muscle and nerves.
At this point, Kata is limited with the amount of calcium in his body. He can attempt to down his calcium tablets for a small boost, however, when forced, he will need to pull it from his other body parts. Typically, this is from his ribs, making them exceptionally prone to attack and damage. If desperate, he can pull from his other arm, his skull, and his teeth. He will only pull from his legs and feet if retreating is not a possible option, and here is no one around for him to jump and defend.
It should also be noted that once the fight has ended, he is still susceptible to the damage he has caused on himself. An example would be of he decides to create a spike out of his remaining hand. While after the fight he can return the calcium he used to his bones and the rest of his body, he will still have the wound that would have been caused by a spike ripping out of his skin.
He has the ability to control the bones in his body. He does not possess the healing factor that could make that useful. As such, he prefers to keep his fights short rather then prolonging them. (Taka will last up to 10 posts unimpeded (other restrictions not withstanding) before his body will begin feeling the strain of a prolonged fight. After 10 posts, Taka will be slightly impeded in both strength and speed. After 15 posts, he will be moderately impeded in strength and speed, and slightly impeded in mental capability. After 20 posts, he will be severely impeded in strength and speed, and moderately impeded in mental capability. After 25 posts, his body will begin to shut down, leading to him needing to rest/retreat. If he does rest, the amount of posts he rests for will be deducted from the total of wear and tear, and not begun from the beginning again. Example: Taka has fought for 25 posts. He can rest, unimpeded, for 3 posts. He is now in condition to fight as if he had been fighting for 22 posts. These totals do not take into account any other restriction to posts that the fight would have on his body, and would likely reduce his post count considerably. If the thread ends, all totals are reset unless stated otherwise/plot reasons.)

Heightened Durability
RANK/LEVEL: F
SUMMARY:
Due to the amount of strain that his body has to be under (structurally) with the frequent changing of his bones, his body has learnt to adapt slightly by adding sightly more muscle mass to compensate his bones thinning, acting as a rudimentary armour and stabiliser against outside forces. This advantage, however, is exceptionally slight, and can be easily countered with a slightly higher amount of force in the blow.
