Torami is a tall, rather curvy young woman with long legs and a toned, athletic build. Her skin is porcelain-pale, with light freckles scattered across her nose and cheekbones. Her eyes are clear and grey-blue, often with tired bags underneath. She often wears dark lipstick and mascara. Her nose is aristocratic and her face is sharp and somewhat angular. Her hair is worn short and well-groomed; always dyed dark purple or sometimes black. Her eyebrows are dark and well-shaped.
Despite having perfectly average eyesight, her eyes are quite sensitive to the light and often gets migraines in strong sunlight or even artificial light. She doesn't necessarily see any better in the dark, but because her eyes are more frequently adjusted to it, it's easier for her.
Torami is hypermobile, or double-jointed, offering her increased flexibility. However, this also means she is more prone to sprains and other soft-tissue injuries if she pushes herself. These negative symptoms can be negated by muscular fitness, which offers support to joints that would otherwise face chronic pain.
Favoring fashion, Torami is often well-dressed and well-groomed. A spritz of mild perfume and her usual makeup accompany her usual school uniform, but when wearing her own clothing she tends to be more experimental. Tora adores Japanese street fashion, specifically angura kei and subtle kogal, but most of all sticking to grungy and gothic themes. In a formal scene she favors black dresses with any combination of lace, tights, and boots. Starkly contrasting to her usual dress, however, she often wears plaid pajama pants and oversized t-shirts in private home situations. These are most comfortable, she finds, and if seen in them she will appear almost embarrassed, while still promptly explaining that she can wear whatever she wants.

RUMOR/SECRET: | - She may have been in a rock band once. - May not be the best person to trust your secrets with. |
To an individual merely skimming her outward personality, Torami is a stable, confident, and responsible young woman. She surrounds herself with level-headed individuals almost exclusively, disregarding most she deems annoying or useless. She is apathetic, somewhat sadistic, and selfish, doing what she wants and sticking to her own. Tora enjoys observing others, though, and from it tends to tease and toy with her friends and colleagues. Internally, Torami is somewhat sensitive; she fears her mother's judgement and subconsciously follows in her older brother's footsteps. She has a fascination for odd things, like ugly animals, knives, and acrobatics. As a diligent young lady, and as guided by her mother, Torami was raised learning many talents. She can play cello and piano, speak & write both English and Japanese fluently, kickbox, and is rather good at fencing. On her own time, she has become adept at knife and dart throwing, and stitching/sewing. She has taken acrobatics courses to help her harness her flexibility and agility, but has much to learn. Despite all her talents, she has mastered none of them, although she would like to. Her true hobbies include reading and running, as they are her true outlets.
As her mother is a high-class pro-hero, and her father is a foreign, somewhat well-known author, Torami was raised as if she was a noble daughter. Table manners, posture, eloquence when speaking; all learned traits that have become second nature to her. However, when alone or truly comfortable, these mannerisms crumble, allowing her to self-indulge. She'll rest her feet on the table, mumble, swear all she wants. This is a very rare side of her, though.
In school, Torami has the focus of a sniper. She can really put her nose to the grindstone when she's interested in something. Why she's so interested in hero work, she hardly knows herself. When asked, she simply assumes its due to the competitive relationship between she and her older brother, who is an actively-working hero. She values family over everything, and to friends who she considers family, she is surprisingly doting and affectionate.
Torami has an interesting relationship with animals, like the rest of her family. As her quirk has to do with quite literally possessing them, she treats them with utmost respect, like coworkers or trusted friends, especially because her quirk is as disorienting to them as it is to her. However, she would not waste any potential in her quirk, so she isn't afraid to use it when the time is right.
Despite being confident and composed, Tora has a bit of insecurity about others' opinions of her. Is she scary? Mean? Useless? These worries often thrive in the back of her mind, but she rarely expresses them. Perhaps it is stubbornness that causes her to bottle these up and deny them.
Torami is polite and friendly to acquaintances, but such walls break down among friends and those who entertain her. As an innocent sadist, she enjoys teasing her friends, finding enjoyment in putting them in humiliating or taxing situations. However, she does truly value them and will often show her affection and care in rough, inadvertent ways.
Despite being somewhat apathetic and cold, Torami does indeed have some compassion to call her own. If on a mission, she will most likely focus on the given task, but her heart does cry out to those in need. She has a soft spot for animals and children, and in cases where she causes the harm of an animal or a child is in danger, her focus fizzles and composure can be called into question.
She is loyal to the hero way of life, for duty more than anything. Torami can come off as morally grey, definitely, but mostly sees villains as whiners. Survival of the fittest, the hero or villain with stronger ideals will win. This of course chips away at Tora's confidence, as she does doubt her own ambition. Tora is way more likely to be converted to a vigilante than villain, but even so, seeks the approval of morally-white Tokito, her older brother.

BACKGROUND HISTORY
PLACE OF BIRTH/HOMETOWN: | Nagasaki, Japan |
PARENTS: | Atsuko Wakui (mother, alive), John Wright-Atsuko (father, alive) |
SIBLINGS: | Tokito, Haruko, Daiki |
SIGNIFICANT OTHER: | N/A |
OTHER: | Wright (cat) |
Torami hails from a generally normal background. Born to a successful mother and father, second oldest out of 3 children, her childhood was comfortable yet modest. Their home was an adequate family house, the only odd things about it were the myriad of dogs, cats, and even birds such as pigeons. These animals were often cycled in and out, being bred and raised for the use of her family's quirk. Torami's mother was strict and had high expectations of her children, when she was home. She hounded them about grades and extracurricular activities, doing her best to instill dutiful morals into the litter. John, their father, was a somewhat popular novelist; his books were all written in English. As he 'held down the fort' while his wife worked, he was quiet and affectionate. Often he would take the children to see his family in Europe.
When Torami had just had her 3rd birthday, her quirk manifested. Her family has just adopted a stray kitten, and since it was her birthday Tora was given the privilege of naming it. She named it Wright, after her father's family name, out of admiration for the foreign culture he was raised in. Immediately she imprinted with this cat, and it was unofficially agreed upon in the family that it would be hers. She carried him everywhere, treated him well, and insisted on caring for him. Upon spending so much time with him, one day, she was merely petting him, looking into his eyes, and just... passed out. Her father was immediately concerned, but Tora didn't realize anything had gone wrong, as she was now conscious and possessing Wright. Eventually, John did notice the odd behavior of Wright and called his wife, who was travelling. Upon this, it was discovered that Torami had inherited nearly the same exact quirk as her mother. Atsuko was proud, in her own apathetic way, and immediately took to conditioning Tora to it. Tora's older brother, Tokito, was also pleased. Since she discovered her quirk, Tora and her brother have fostered a strong sibling rivalry.
As she and her siblings grew up very close, almost raising themselves as their parents were often busy, it was no surprise that the two oldest would have such a strong bond. Tokito was an energetic, intelligent child with a fascination for pro heroes like his mother. Torami was a bold, diligent young lady who looked up to her brother. Growing up was constantly spurred by an iron-fisted mother and the urge to compete with her brother, allowing Torami little time to act like a baby. She matured quickly, and was proud of it, deciding that in this way she could be independent and live her own life, despite being so inspired by Tokito. Although she boasted doing what she wanted, when she wanted, she always took to her mother's lessons and suggestions, and always followed in Tokito's footsteps. So, when she was going into middle school, and Tokito applied for UA, she was enamored by the idea. Immediately she began studying, preparing herself; if Tokito was going to become a hero, so was she. Her mother approved, so she kept moving forward. When Torami was going into her first year at UA, Tokito was graduating and becoming a rookie hero.
Currently, Torami lives in the dorms with her cat, Wright.

QUIRK & SKILLS
One With The Wild
TYPE: Emitter
RANK/LEVEL: D
SUMMARY:
Torami's quirk is a psychic-type quirk. It allows her to, upon making eye contact, "possess" the body of any non-sentient animal for a limited amount of time, depending on size of the animal. Animals smaller than a medium-sized dog she can 'inhabit' for 2-3 posts. Animals smaller than a pony she can 'inhabit' for 1 post. At her current ability, she cannot control any larger animals. When possessing the animal she is fully in control, unless her time limit is almost up or the animal is too large. Unless she has access to a large dog or a wild predator, this quirk isn't specifically useful for combat, instead being ideal for stealth or scouting missions where a stray cat or bird would be inconspicuous. There is no limit to how far she can go away from her body as an animal, but if she pushes her time limit, it has serious repercussions.
WEAKNESSES/LIMITATIONS:
While possessing an animal, Torami's physical body goes completely unconscious, in a sleeping, coma-like state. This obviously leaves her extremely vulnerable if her body is found. Being picked up/moved around in this state will not disturb her, unless she is injured, dropped, stepped on... So on and so forth. Additionally, upon returning to her body from the possessed animal, she is left extremely disoriented and tends to act as if inebriated; the longer she possesses the animal, and the larger the animal, the longer and more extreme the symptoms are. Hazy, loony, half-awake, drunk... All excellent descriptors of her behavior upon return. If she doesn't push herself, and the animal is smaller, this can last 1 post. A larger animal or longer duration can last 2-3, with stronger symptoms. If her body is injured or the animal she is possessing is killed, Torami is immediately forced back into her own body. This results in disorientation to the point where she can hardly walk, if at all, and in some cases she will even pass out.
Torami cannot inhabit any human or sentient being, at all. If they have the same social capability and intelligence as a human, her quirk has no effect. She could, however, potentially control larger animals, such as bears, with heaps of practice.
While inhabiting an animal, if they cannot produce words, she cannot communicate with speech. She can however, make gestures if need be (or in rare cases form crude sentences, if possessing a parrot, for example). She remembers everything she experienced while inhabiting the animal upon returning to her own body, unless she was forced back, where it can take up to 4 posts for her to recollect the information gathered.
God forbid, if her physical body is suddenly killed, she would be completely stranded in the body of the animal she is currently inhabiting. It would have to be immediate death, but she would still be able to use her quirk, only trapped as a non-vocal animal forever, essentially.
This quirk is most effective when used to gather information with a healthy, well-fed animal. Its a given that her physical body needs to be guarded or hidden.

Martial Arts
RANK/LEVEL: D
SUMMARY:
Being proficient at kickboxing and fencing, Torami can hold her own in a regular, fist-to-fist combat. With an agile and athletic build, her kicks and punches are quick and get the job done, although she has much to learn. When encountering an enemy with a combat-oriented quirk, she'd rather run and fight using her brains.
Knife Throwing
RANK/LEVEL: C-
SUMMARY:
A skill that could be helpful if she needed to slow a pursuer down by striking their legs. Despite having good aim and control of the knives, she doesn't count this in her arsenal, debating whether or not it would be considered acceptable for a hero to use these weapons to subdue a target.
Strategy
RANK/LEVEL: D
SUMMARY:
As her quirk isn't very combat-oriented, Tora relies on strategy and tactics to organize and plan ahead for attacks. She works well taking advantage of her comrades' skills to make a mission successful. Torami enjoys strategy games and chess.
