THE BASICS

PHYSICAL APPEARANCE

PERSONALITY

Futaba is generally a warm person to be around. She rarely raises her voice and hates talking out of turn. She, however, can be very timid, usually only speaking to people when she is talked to. She tends to be very forgiving, even to people who don't deserve it. She wants to make her parents proud but is personally not sure how she is going to get there. She thinks she'll be able to get there with mere determination. There a lot of insecurity with this though as she often contemplates why she is at U.A.

BACKGROUND HISTORY

Futaba lived a pretty comfortable life, being one of the two children of two very prolific heroes. With most of their earnings, she had a pretty comfortable life but expectations weighed heavy on the girl. Most people expected her to have some amazing quirk that rivaled her parent's quirk. Most people were disappointed to find out that Futaba had a very ordinary quirk. It did not bother the girl though. She actually was not so interested in becoming a hero so her quirk being not very impressive was fine by her.

In school, some people would pick on Futaba about her quirk not being impressive like her parents who were out doing heroic things. This caused the girl to go more inwards, often avoiding people for the sake of her sanity. As this continued, she grew more and more timid and reserved. Some people even would forget that she was in their class. That suited her. While she did like friends, and had them, she always felt happier with her private thoughts. So the years went by, Futaba never really thinking of becoming a hero. This changed shortly before her last year in middle school.

While on a job, both her parents suffered terrible injuries. These injuries did not prove fatal but they could no longer perform their hero duties. While her family did not suffer that much financially, her parents' injuries left an impression on the girl. Seeing her parents crippled changed the girl's resolve. Instead of wanting a mundane life, she wanted to be a hero. She wanted to be a hero like her parents. So even though her quirk was not like her parents, she set out to become a hero like them. She knows it will be a hard road ahead for her but she will try her best.

The exam was not the easiest thing in the world for her though. While she knew that she could do well on the written exam, the practical exam was her issue. After the exam, she assumed that she failed the exams but to her surprise, she was able to crush the written exam and barely pass the practical. To her knowledge, she was able to do this by her telling some the examiners that they were in danger using her quirk. Unknown to her, her parents played a few favours to have their daughter accepted into U.A.

Her entrance in the academy actually meant a lot to her.  Not only did she get a chance to make her parents proud but also be around her older brother more. She really loves her older brother. He helped her understand what being a hero meant. She really loves her brother because he has been her only friend. Being able to go to the same school as him excited her and she can't wait for the school year to begin.

SUMMARY:
Futaba is able to implant her thoughts in anyone's mind that she either knows the location of or is in her line of sight. She has to concentrate to activate her quirk, either keeping the person she is sending her thoughts to in her sight or concentrating on the location where someone is present. She needs to have a clear line of sight of person, having to at least be able to see a person's features. The distance she can use the quirk varies on how clearly she can see a person. For example, if the day is very foggy, she can't use her quirk beyond 10 meters. Usually she can use her quirk over 200 meters.  


WEAKNESSES/LIMITATIONS:
If she uses her quirk to send messages to people she cannot see, she can only do this for a short time before getting a splitting headache. She can also not have a conversation with someone she cannot see. While she does not develop a headache super quickly when she can see someone, it would still hurt after an hour or so of use. This effect is accelerated if she has a conversation with a person as she needs to not only send her own thoughts but also receive someone else's thoughts. She tends to get a headache after about 30 minutes of constant use of her quirk (4 posts)

SUMMARY:
Futaba is has played the Koto since she was able to move her fingers properly with an instrument. She is pretty decently skilled with it. She is no master of the instrument but she can hold her own as a musician.
