A Star Wars Story

A Star Wars Story is a brand-new forum-based Star Wars RP set in an AU Galactic Republic area, shortly before the battle of Naboo. There is no Yoda, no Dooku, no Anakin, only you and your motley crew. The Galaxy is at a precious time where many planets are unhappy with the republic- but whether this tension progresses is completely based on the stories our players write- and the feats their characters perform. While we just started, our smaller community means you can have more of an impact on the rules and the galaxy, as the plot unfolds around the players.

Isn't there a lot of Star Wars RPs?
A lot there is- but different we are. At ASWS, we have an emphasis on creativity and responsible story telling. Unlike completely free-form forum RP's, we have a vaguely table-top inspired system that still enforces role-players to be responsible and control their characters realistically to their character sheet. On the other hand, unlike many Star Wars RP's we do not have an overly complex lore or system that requires days just to get into the action.
We strike a perfect balance in the force between creative writing and systems- the end result is that with less only one page of core rules and about thirty minutes of your time, veteran role-players and newbies alike can have a character up-and-running and start participating in threads.
