Xavier usually appears as a clean cut and somewhat lanky teenager. Much to the chagrin of those that would envy his height, he tends to slouch due to wanting to fit in as much as possible. It is not uncommon for him to also appear tired due to studying late into the night and early into the morning.
PERSONALITY
LIKES ReadingComputers Rain Energy Drinks | DISLIKES Loud NoisesGerms Hot Weather Spicy Foods |
RUMOR/SECRET: | “Careful, he might crack!” |
Prefering to go by X instead of Xavier, X is a bit of a recluse due to his family never sticking to one location longer than a year or two. With his own physical frailty and due to constantly moving from place to place, X often finds it easier to pour himself into his various projects and assignments as he attempts to find a cure or at least a better means of survival than he currently has.
Due to the side effect of his quirk, X is highly susceptible to head trauma and it’s due to the many “normal” things of life that he’s lost a year of “normalcy” due to being in and out of hospitals. Whereas he yearns to be able to play sports or be an active hero, the risk to him getting a concussion and going comatose again is too great least he opts to wear a helmet to play tennis. Often one to hang back whereas others would have pushed forward, X is able to excel in his role as support due to him preferring to measure twice and cut once. He often seems aloof when he is simply thinking of the answers to questions that have yet to be made problems.

BACKGROUND HISTORY
PLACE OF BIRTH/HOMETOWN: | Toronto, Canada |
PARENTS: | Michael and Kimiko Grey |
SIBLINGS: | Unnamed (Deceased) |
SIGNIFICANT OTHER: | N/A |
OTHER: | N/A |
~Pre-Birth~
Two people who lived by the mantra “Work hard, play harder”, Michael and Kimiko had made a life together out of pursuing their passions. A chance meeting at a food festival, Michael, an African American E.M.T. and Kimiko, a half-Jamaican, half Japanese Quantum Trader fell in love over a shared taste of local cuisine despite their far from similar backgrounds. Eventually the two wed and made a life together in Toronto, Canada where Kimiko was working for a big-name bank.
Michael’s quirk was that of self-healing that involved him to not only heal faster than the average human but also allowed him to even regrow limbs (though not without a considerable amount of pain and patience). Kimiko, the true brains of the two, was a business savvy quirk user who could quite literally talk to numbers, using her quirk to solve complex quantum mathematics problems.
Before learning of her pregnancy, Michael and Kimiko Grey were involved in what they believed to be a simple fender bender. Relatively young and very much in love, what they did not know at the time was that Kimiko was pregnant with twins and had suffered a miscarriage due to the sensitive nature of her unborn children's quirks. Whereas normally the failed pregnancy would go unnoticed until much later if at all, the stronger of the twins absorbed the weaker and the two lived on as one and the simple intelligence quirk became a multitasking one. Eventually, they welcomed their son together, whom they named Xavier.
~Pre Fall~
Seemingly a normal child with a yet unnamed quirk. X was a rapid learner and was believed to have a similar quirk as his mother. Peculiarly, X did not sleep at night like normal children and in fact seemed to lie awake observing the world around him silently as the hours would roll on. One day when attempting to walk, X fell and hit his head but instead of quickly recovering, X went into a coma for over a week and it is then determined that X, like his mother, had a brain sensitive to head trauma and that despite being in a coma, his brain was alive with activity.
What was not known is that (to be eventually discovered) is that X was at one point, two separate children that due to a near miscarriage fused into one child, creating a tetragametic chimera child. During the day, X would play and learn while at night, the unnamed child “Y” would test and observe. Though they could not communicate with words, via a bond that only they could understand, they had created a symbiotic means of living utilizing their mutant quirks to their mutual benefit.
Despite their youth, in their combined innocent hubris, their attempt at walking far sooner than the average child did not factor in their shared weakness with their mother, a delicate brain. In much the same way as the cause of their symbiotic existence, the head trauma locked Y away to a single lone hemisphere of the brain that was his own and rendered him mentally and physically mute. Losing that bond, X would go on to live believing that he simply had "two brains in one", not realizing that there was another listening, watching and experiencing all that he did, but unable to truly enjoy it.
~Post Fall~
As a child, X, would speak of an imaginary friend that he believed to always be around. What he could not remember however, was that this “imaginary friend” was his twin brother trapped in his head unable to live life as he had before. Eventually though, due to societal pressures, X stopped speaking of this "friend". Despite his quirk, X was not a genius (in his own words) and in fact just simply had the ability to keep on learning relatively nonstop. An above average student for sure, due to his brain being physically more fragile than others, he wasn’t able to utilize his quirk to play any overly physical sports and as high school approached, he continued believing that his quirk, while certainly useful, ultimately would land him in an office environment or at best as an air traffic controller. Fortunately for him, his mother ended up taking a job in Japan to be closer to her aging parents, providing X with the opportunity to attend UA.
~First Year~
Bookbag, check. Transfer papers, check. Pushy first year trying too hard to be friends, check. Friendly game of volleyball . . . avoid. Even more pushy first years, check. Happiness, odd. Sailing through the air, strange. Chance ball, wait. Concussion, check. Coma, check.
~Second First Year~
X’s first year at UA should have been eventful, but unfortunately for him it was too eventful. Against his better judgement, X was goaded into using his height to play a friendly game of volleyball. Thoroughly enjoying a game that he seemed destined to play, X did not account for the fact that a clumsy super strength quirk first year would collide with him and effectively erase his entire first year of schooling at UA before it even began. Forced to repeat and thus, being a year older than his peers, X emotionally walled himself off from others due to him perceiving that they might perceive him as weird and weak.
Having grown up mostly in North America, all the prepping in the world from his mixed mother could not prepare him for the sheer feeling of being lost in a sea of newness that was living in Japan. Despite the influx of foreign born and simply alien looking quirk users, nothing could erase that lack of being distinctly not-Japanese try as he might. Not able to pass the physical aptitude for being a Hero, X settled into the Support path and spent the rest of his first year doing as other first years might, trying to find his own way.
Utilizing his quirk to the max, X, while naturally gifted in learning languages (since one half of his brain can sleep while the other continues learning), also took up learning robotics as a possible means of further enhancing his quirk. With his quirk allowing him to effectively multitask, the problem that he often ran into was that he could not actually be in two places at once and he only had two hands, two arms, legs, feet, etc. A goal of X’s was to learn enough about robotics that eventually he could create some sort of armor for himself in order 1, provide himself a measure of protection due to his sensitive brain and 2, perhaps allow him to solve the problem of being two brains in one. Despite being a recluse due to the things that he figured made him different, he began to find in others, things that made them sort of the same.
Not quite fully understanding his quirk (or having it be understood by others equally), the truth of the matter unbeknownst to X is that he initially had two quirks due to being a tetragametic chimera. His “twin” occupies the left hemisphere of his brain and if one were to take a sample from strictly that portion of his brain it would appear to be from a different individual. Due to their father’s ability to regrow limbs, X should have been born with a similar version of his quirk. Unfortunately due to the accident, X burned out (that is, he used all the potential Quirk based healing that he would have ever had) his would be healing quirk subconsciously to protect both he and his twin's lives from being lost when they were threatened by what would have caused a miscarriage. Every major head trauma incident pushes Y further back but eventually there will come a time when Y awakens and is able to freely communicate with X and indeed the outside world if X manages to go a long enough period without a head injury.

THE ARMORY
~Googol Glass X (GGX) + Drone(s)~
- [Googol Glass X] A pair of modified Googol Glasses that have an optical display built into them. Through these glasses, X is able to utilize functions via voice commands or a linked devices in much the same way that he might as if he were using a cellphone. While there are other normal pairs of Googol Glass available for consumer use, X has modified his to work directly with his Multitask Quirk. By adding a second HUD to the display, both lenses of the GGX's are able to have separate displays projected onto them enabling X to relatively have both a 360 degree view of his immediate surroundings (there is a camera as well as a live feed of any other linked device that may also have a display that can be read. Due to the influx of information presented simultaneously, anyone without the ability to process the information will at best see a blur of images and at worse give themselves a headache or a seizure due to flashing lights.
- GGX can be and is most commonly linked to X's cellphone which allows him to use it as a makeshift keyboard, etc. While they are linked via a protected bluetooth connection (along with any other linked devices), it isn't exactly hacker proof so X has to be careful when he uses them and with what he links them to.
- Usage of this gadget for purposes outside of simple relaxed searches or keeping up with text messages exhaust X as it requires him to purposefully use his quirk's Overclock ability to keep up with the influx of information such as getting a live feed of his direct surroundings and keeping track of drone footage.
***Based on the real world Google Glass***
- [Drone x1] While expensive due to the high quality camera that it houses, the repurposed racing drone that X commonly pairs with his GGX's is simple in nature and is used primarily for reconnaissance and message delivery. It has basic speakers for effectively allowing him to place a call between him and it. The drone has been augmented with an 8 hour normal use battery (normal use meaning hover around X) but extended usage of the calling, tracking or live feed capabilities severely cuts into its battery life of which it takes 4 hours to fully charge. The drone is better than average weather proof but is not EMP/lightning proof or impervious to most offensive quirks. It's max speed is a 180mph/290kmh but running at this speed for long stretches of time will naturally burn through its battery levels.
***Based on the real world VXR-190 Quadcopter***
- [Tool Kit] A simple toolkit that X uses to house spare parts for his gadgets. While the tool kit does not house enough parts to fully replace his drone or GGX gadgets, if it's a matter of electricians tape, a frayed wire or a burned propeller, X can fix it on the fly.
***weighs 2.2lb/1kg***
- [Bookbag] A regular "military grade" bookbag that houses not only X's day to day school things but also is a makeshift home for his gadgets when on a mission. While the bookbag is built to be "military grade" it isn't impervious to purposeful offensive quirk based attacks aimed directly at it.

QUIRK & SKILLS
Dual Core
TYPE: Mutant
RANK/LEVEL: C+
SUMMARY:
X(Y) = Multitask: X can independently utilize the two halves of his brain as if he were two separate persons sharing one body. This allows him to sleep with one half of his brain while the other continues to function or hold a conversation about one subject while typing about another without interruption. It should be noted that this does not give him a genius intellect, only that he can absorb knowledge and experiences simultaneously. As X describes it, it's like driving two different cars at once due to having an aerial view of both. Naturally two cars can cover more accumulative distance than one, but tethering two basic cars together would not inherently make them faster than one well-tuned sports car.
Usage of his quirk has allowed him to learn languages while “sleeping” and listen to a teacher teaching one subject while reading about another. In the time span of a few months, X was able to add a competent knowledge of Japanese and various forms of Braille to his native French and English by listening to tapes at night and reading textbooks by day. To increase his effectiveness at learning while “sleeping” and to keep his mother from worrying about the bags under his eyes, X took up learning Braille to be able to read with his eyes closed. Due to a near constant stream of information, X often has stated that he doesn’t dream in the normal way that others sleep since one half of his brain is mostly always awake and the half that is sleeping is more experiencing a lucid dream if anything. Much like any brain though, X's does need for both halves to sleep. Pulling the occasional all night cram session occurs from time to time (which is why he loves energy drinks) but typically, each half gets about six to eight hours of sleep a day, one half sleeping in the morning and one half sleeping in the evening. X tries to time his sleeping so that he can have both halves active during the middle part of the school day.
WEAKNESSES/LIMITATIONS:
Due to the nature of the quirk, X is highly susceptible to head trauma. In the same way that his mothers brain functions like a computer, so to does his and like a computer, a simple fall, drop or being headbutted by a fellow first year going for a “chance ball” can prove disastrous (hence, him being a second year class wise but the same age as most third years). With each concussion or coma that X ends up in, his brain is effectively forced to reboot and start from a previous point of reference so with a strong enough blow, X could end up very well forgetting who he is for a considerable amount of time, if not forever.
Another point to his quirk is that despite being able to multitask, X is still only has the normal amount of limbs, etc. So, while he can learn Greek while being in the middle of audibly reciting Pi., he cannot hold a conversation in Greek and be reciting Pi. at the same time due to only having one mouth. A problem that X often runs into is wanting to walk in one direction while paying attention to something else in another direction and almost running in to someone in the hallway. Distractions for him prove to be when he allows his brain to focus on two separate problems while not paying attention to the one directly in front of him. Due to being able to take in more than the usual amount of information, X is also prone to headaches and can very easily be mentally overloaded if forced to focus intently on multitasking higher than normal stressful task.
~Overclock~
For mundane task X doesn't tax his brain by multitasking, such as reading a book and making a PB&J sandwich at the same time. However, for more taxing task, like running through a minefield and trying to give orders to multiple teammates on the battlefield, X has to "Overclock" his brain by fully focusing on the serious life and death task without losing focus and by being able to switch his focus at a moment's notice. After repeated uses of his Quirk throughout the day for non mundane task, X has to get an average nights rest both mentally and physically or he risk burnout and causing self inflicted head trauma like effects. As X approaches the halfway point of Overclocking, he develops a growing migraine headache. At the point in which he approaches using his full allowance, he experiences vertigo like symptoms.
Mundane Usage = Unlimited/per post (Ex, reading a book and making a PB&J sandwich or paying attention in math class while doing literature homework)
Light Usage = 1/per post (Ex, taking two unrelated written final exams at once or playing chess in the park while also working a hibachi grill)
Moderate Usage = 2/per post (Ex, running through an obstacle course unscathed while also tutoring a classmate in a school subject over the phone)
Heavy Usage = 5/per post (Ex, focusing on physical combat with multiple enemies while keeping track of allies and making life or death decisions)
Point Pool: 12/per topic
Head Trauma: Doubles the cost of all Overclock actions.

Robotics
RANK/LEVEL: C-
SUMMARY:
In order to try and solve the problem of his frail brain and needing a durable enough helmet, X has tried his hand at robotics in order to create something that will allow him to fully utilize his quirk despite going down the path of a Support type of hero. His first test was by making his Super Bookbag which failed horrible when it effectively went rouge because he started subconsciously typing his thoughts with one of his brains. The ensuing chaos was only stopped after one of his classmates used their quirks to neutralize it and effectively flushed a years’ worth of programming down the drain. One of X’s biggest goals is to perfect this skill because he believes that it will make less fragile.
Cybernetics
RANK/LEVEL: C-
SUMMARY:
Augmenting his learning of robotics, X also actively is involved with learning cybernetics. While many might assume that robotics and cybernetics are one in the same, X is quick to point out that the two hold mostly different endpoints in his mind. While he isn't quite sure why he gravitated to taking up the large and complicated field of science, what he is certain of is that an advanced knowledge of cybernetics could lead to him solving the problem with his frail body and could lead to him quite possibly being able to back up his own consciousness digitally. While he recognizes that it is a far off goal, he mostly focuses on the many supportive applications of cybernetics such as being able to design artificial limbs and organs for heroes who are gravely injured in battle.
