If she could, Desiree would stand at 5'2" (157 cm). However, she doesn't, she sits in her wheelchair - sometimes bitterly. Due to being wheelchair bound, on good days, Desiree weighs about 100 lbs (45.3 kg) sopping wet. She has long chocolate brown hair that is almost always seen tied up in a high ponytail, while tied up her hair reaches just below her shoulder blades. The rare occasion that Dez wears their hair down, it reaches just below their waist. The young adult being extremely protective of her head, especially of the back of it. Dez leaves their hair long to obscure a good size scar that they received after enduring surgery. Aside from the scar on the back of her head, Desiree is able to keep her skin blemish free for the most part. Eventually planning on getting a tattoo upon graduation from UA.
Ninety percent of Desiree's wardrobe consists of the colors black, red, and white. The only variants being her UA uniforms. She even designed her own body suit, sometimes wearing it pretending she could still be a hero. With Dez not being a huge fan of jewelry, the only accessories they tend to have are extra ponytail holders around their wrist.

RUMOR/SECRET: | I've seen them walk, they're faking it. |
Dez is a casebook ESFJ personality type. They strive to help others and chase the high of lifting others up. A very sociable and giving person, Dez has also been called loyal, organized, outgoing, and tender-hearted. They're a careful observer and wants to ensure that their friends are never without. Desiree is good at making friends, and tends to just slide into friendships almost effortlessly. She loves to be of service and to ensure everyone is comfortable. It frustrates her to no end when she is unable to help and often goes into a self-destructive mindset.
Dez can be stubborn and straightforward, but knows when to bite their tongue and correct someone in private. Unless severe enough that they feel like they should call the other person out in front of others. However, the default Desiree is a laid back, bubbly personality.

OTHER: |
Desiree had a happy childhood, and even if asked today, she doesn't think anything really tragic happened in her life. She developed as normal, five years old, acquired her quirk. However, even if it was a defensive quirk - it couldn't protect her from the incident that occurred when she was eight.
Doing what an eight-year-old does, and playing at the park... Desiree suddenly seized and fell from a great height at the playground. Her parents rushed her to the hospital. Once scans and everything was completed, it was found that Desiree had a meningioma tumor pushing against her brain. Apparently, it had been growing for a while and when it finally made itself known to the family... it took away Desiree's ability to walk.
After having surgery to remove the meningioma tumor, to prevent further damage. Desiree fell into a deep depression. She was sent abroad to the United States to live with her father's sister to hopefully cheer her up while her parents remodeled their house to accommodate Desiree's newfound paraplegia. During that stint, Desiree learned a new language in order to communicate with her aunt. Thankfully for her aunt's significant other, she picked it up faster but was still able to communicate while learning. Desiree spent a year in the United States with her aunt and her spouse, before getting sent back to home in France.
When she finally returned home, her family house was remodeled to accommodate her new wheelchair, as well as a new room added for a new addition to the family: her little brother Edwin. Desiree was in love with her little brother and wanted to help her parents with him all the time. Even to the point, she would beat her parents to his room in the middle of the night to soothe him when he cried. Desiree would always tell Edwin stories of pro-heroes, and how amazing it would be to be one. However, classmates ridiculed Desiree telling her that she could never be a hero since she was in a wheelchair.
It was a harsh truth, and a hard pill to swallow. Especially as her brother and she grew, he started to agree with her peers. Thinking it was impossible for her to be a hero if she couldn't even walk. She endured this harsh criticism throughout her middle school years. Desiree just used it as a drive to get impeccable grades and would turn around and apply to UA - however she applied for the Support Studies program. If she couldn't be the best hero she could be, she would be the best asset to one.
When the acceptance letter came, Desiree packed her bags and flew to Japan.

THE ARMORY
Desiree made herself a sleek suit. It doesn't do much for her, just makes her feel like a hero. The wheelchair she has been tweaking however is light weight metal making it easier for her to push herself, but still durable enough to survive most damage. If left hit by a bus going 30 mph, the wheelchair at most will need some decently sized dents hammered out of the metal, any faster and it will need some repairs. It will not survive being melted either by extreme heat or acid, or by being crushed by a hydraulic press.
To assist in keeping her hydrated and able to produce saliva, Desiree keeps a large water bottle on her. The bottle able to hold 128 oz of fluid.
Dez has been working on these since their first year in UA. The devices themselves are highly experimental, but it gives them the ability to walk for short periods of times. (4 posts per thread, consecutively before they need repaired.)

QUIRK & SKILLS
BUBBLE WRAP
TYPE: Emitter
RANK/LEVEL: C
SUMMARY: Bubble Wrap is a quirk best for defense, with very little offensive properties - if any at all.
The molecular structure of Desiree's spit is the key to this quirk. While blowing a bubble, it is enterable and able to be exited without popping. However, once the bubble is blown, it cannot be entered from the outside and can easily pop if attempting to exit from the inside.
The bubbles themselves have the durability of maple wood, susceptible to slashing damage but only after a large amount of force is applied. Most blunt force damage tend to bounce off the barrier. Currently Desiree can blow a bubble barrier up to a diameter of 8 feet (takes 2 posts to blow)
If Desiree is inside the bubble herself, she can only produce one. However, if she manages to stay outside of the bubble she can produce up to three.
The bubble barriers can be popped in a few different ways.
WEAKNESSES/LIMITATIONS: With this quirk, everyone who Dez strives to protect must be ready to jump in while the bubble is being blown. Once, she finishes blowing the bubble, there is no entering until the barrier is popped.
The bubbles can fit as many people as an average elevator (typically four to five people). A drawback on being inside the bubbles is the lack of air. Since nothing can pass through the barrier walls, so the barrier itself is a time-bomb. (Auto-pops at 4 posts)
The bubble barriers can be popped in a few different ways. If Desiree is knocked unconscious, all bubbles pop. If someone inside the bubble attempts to exit, the bubble will pop. If attacked with enough force from the outside, the bubbles will pop (enough to split or cut a maple wood cutting board). In each instance, the time for the bubble to dissipate after being popped is 1 post.
Since this quirk relies on Dez's spit, if they get cotton-mouth, they are unable to use their quirk. Essentially if they do not have enough saliva to blow a bubble, it isn't going to work. For this reason Dez attempts to stay hydrated and use other methods to keep their mouth moist.
Desiree finds herself getting cotton mouth after she blows 8 bubbles and has to rehydrate in order to blow more (per thread). If she drinks only half of her 128 oz water bottle, Desiree can produce one more bubble. If she drinks all 128 ounces, she can produce two more. After that, Desiree has to devote an entire day to re-hydration and resting her jaw before she can use her quirk again (IC or next thread).

Upper Body Strength
RANK/LEVEL: C
SUMMARY: Due to being in a wheelchair from the age of eight, Desiree has some pretty impressive upper body strength. This is due to the constant pushing herself in the wheelchair as well as the need to get around without the chair. Dez is able to climb around without the use of their wheelchair, but eventually runs out of stamina and prefers to sit in their chair.
Able to move around just using upper body strength for three posts before needing to return to their wheelchair.
Linguist
RANK/LEVEL: C
SUMMARY: Languages have always interested Dez, and included with their first language of French, their parents taught them how to speak English. They took classes in middle school in order to speak Japanese and Spanish. During a stint of living abroad with their deaf aunt, Dez learned ASL.
French ~ English ~ Japanese ~ Spanish ~ ASL
Tinkerbell
RANK/LEVEL: C+
SUMMARY: Growing up, Desiree got into a lot of trouble with her parents for disassembling and reassembling appliances into something new. Not so much if she actually pieced the device back into what it was originally meant to be. However, she has a terrible habit of taking something apart for parts for something new and never rebuilding what she originally took apart.
Baby Steps
RANK/LEVEL: E
SUMMARY:
Since Dez had begun making their own leg braces, they have had little time to learn how to walk. So when they are actually standing on their own two feet, they're a bit wobbly and will eventually fall. They're at half speed, at most, if wearing their leg braces rather than being in their wheelchair.
Tailor
RANK/LEVEL: C-
SUMMARY: Desiree is pretty good at the needle and thread. She can mend and repair clothing with little struggle. Embroidering she has a bit of difficulty with still. However, with her sewing machine, she can bust out hero-suits fairly easily, with only a few mistakes. To which that she gladly offers to fix when the mistakes are noticed.
Cooking
RANK/LEVEL: D+
SUMMARY: Cooking wasn't a very easy skill to come across for Dez. They mainly blame their handicap for. However, when the items they need are accessible - a meal does eventually come together. Desiree has recently found cooking to be very therapeutic when she becomes upset and quickly grew her skill to now she burns about every sixth meal she makes.
