LIKES Dried PersimmonsFoster Dad MMA Cockatoos | DISLIKES Public SpeakingConfined Spaces His Quirk Feeling Weak |
RUMOR/SECRET: | Only a few people know that Fuuga is transgender (FTM). He has mild hand tremors (caused by his quirk) |
Quiet and seemingly foul tempered, Fuuga is a frustrated young man who feels like a prisoner to his quirk. It’s hard to get close to him, harder still to get him to open up and share his inner feelings. This stems from fear of vulnerability. Despite this, he wishes to be a hero, perhaps for the wrong reasons in that it’s more to prove he isn’t a villain.

Fuuga was not born to a happy family. His parents were poor and often neglectful as they spent most of their time working to support themselves. Fuuga’s earliest, albeit faded, memories were of being home alone, playing with utensils or pebbles he found outside. He cannot remember his parents faces very well as he never looked at their eyes or hair, it was too scary to do so, though they never struck him or punished him, their unfeelingness towards him was profound. He was quiet, lonely and maladjusted, preschool wasn’t a happy time for him and he exited that part of his life with no friends.
As with most quirks, Fuuga’s developed when he was 4. He had been sitting on the walkway outside his front door, when a delivery truck’s engine backfired and startled him with the loud, gunshot like noise. Immediately, his quirk filled him with adrenaline and sent him into a panic. Fuuga ran from his home and was missing for 3 days. Unable to handle the amount of chemicals his body had produced, he lost his way easily and succumed to his feral nature. Fuuga survived by drinking out of puddles, eating neighborhood cats and small birds, and hiding in whatever dark corner he could find. He was found by the police and brought into the foster system when it was determined that his parents’ hadn’t filed a police report and his homelife was not safe due to the neglect. Scared and in pain, Fuuga was slowly slipping into the foster system and down the path towards becoming a marginalized person whose quirk would only ever label him as a ‘villain’.
It was luck and the concern of a well connected cop that found Fuuga being fostered by an ex pro-hero; Satou Haiga, also known as Pressure Point in his hayday. The man's career was focused on stopping villains; training in boxing to help learn control and limit how much damage his quirk caused. Learning of Fuuga and how badly he was doing in regular foster care, Haiga offered to take the kid on, in the hopes of giving a constructive and safe outlet for the child.
Fuuga and Haiga did not get on well at first, Fuuga was suffering from the overdose effect of his emerging quirk, always shaking and headache-y, foul tempered and predisposed to biting and scratching. Haiga was not the most patient man, but he was reminded of himself when he was young and worked Fuuga through his trauma (and developing gender dysmorphia) through understanding, empathy and martial arts.
Fuuga took to physical training, finding the aptitude for it gave him back some of his self-confidence. When Haiga praised him, Fuuga was able to find value in himself, and also thought that perhaps if someone with a dangerous quirk like Haiga could be a hero, then maybe someone like Fuuga could learn to help people. The boy quickly grew a sort of quirk complex on his journey of healing and growth, hating his wretched quirk that hurt him, but wanting to show that even someone like him could become a hero.
Fuuga spent his time focusing on his body, going through the rigorous process of MMA training. At 13 he asked Haiga to allow him to get gender affirmation surgery. Haiga agreed immediately, and helped Fuuga get an approved psychiatrist to sign off on his top-surgery. Without the dysphoria effecting his sense of self, Fuuga found he could focus more on preparing for the UA entrance exams. It was unfortunate that after years of growth, he did not make it into the hero program.
Even with plenty of time to prep, and a clear idea of what he wanted to do, Fuuga couldn’t bring himself to use his quirk during the exam and though he managed to get accepted into UA, it was in the General Studies program. Despite the set back, Haiga supports Fuuga, helping him through plotting how he could continue his at-home training and perhaps ask one of the teachers to help him get into the Hero Program through specialized, extracurricular training.

THE ARMORY
Friction Resistant Compression Suit-
Supplemented with armor at the more vulnerable spots of his body (long bones, neck, spine, joints..) This is to mitigate the dangers of his quirk to himself when in combat. The suit can withstand any low impact without tearing or damage (unaugmented punches, kicks, scratches..). The suit will sustain damage form things such as gunshots (.22-9mm low caliber pistols), super speed/strength supplemented hits (45mph), and high speed vehicular accidents (25mph and up) with any vehicle around the size of a 3,500lbs midsized sedan. While the suit itself can withstand these perimeters, injuries can and will still occure to the person wearing it, in these circumstances.
Friction Resistant Gloves-
Designed to protect Fuuga’s palms and fingers when using his quirk in combat or moments of extreme action. These gloves were designed much the same as his suit, tear and cut resistant on the inside and the outside as his nails can rip through most nonresistant fabrics. His fingers and wrists are protected from unintentional breaking due to rough landings, or grabbining onto objects at increased speeds (45mph). These gloves are designed for falls and grabbing only, and if a person wanted to and is capable of breaking Fuuga's fingers, they could with the regular amount of wenching pressure one would use to cause fractures.
Boots-
Designed to allow freedom of motion without concern for friction burns or broken toes during combat or moments of extreme action. These boots are designed to mitigate falling and crushing damage, able to withstand up to the weight of a small, sedan style care running over it. The boot is also steel toed, less for protection and more to allow for Fuuga's toes to be severed (and thus easier to reattach) rather than be crushed by outside forces. These protect his ankls as well by reinforcing the joints so that dislocation and fracturing is less likely.
Muzzle-
Prevents “friendly fire” Biting. Made out of metal, in the basket style to allow Fuuga to talk and potentially drink while wearing it. Straps are leather and fit around the neck and back of his head. This is a regular muzzle that offers no protection, it's straps are designed specifically to be hard for Fuuga to remove when he isn't level headed.

QUIRK & SKILLS
FERAL
TYPE: Emitter
RANK/LEVEL: E
SUMMARY:
Fuuga can actively force his body to produce specific chemicals that put him into a berserk like state. He can produce endorphins, adrenaline and testosterone that allows him to increase his endurance, limit how much pain he feels and increase his aggression.
Each dosage from his quirk takes 1 post to take effect. The benefits of a dosage increase, or Overdose, are outweighed by the dangers. Always assume Fuuga aims for a Safe dose, an Overdose will be actively mentioned before it's used.
Fuuga can ignore pain for up to 7 posts. This is influenced by the numbing nature of some of the bodily chemicals he can dose with, but also the euphoric nature of endorphins. The effects of this last as long as the dose does. One of the safer benefits of the Feral quirk is an increase to Fuuga's stamina, whereas without it's influence Fuuga can exert himself in extraneous combat and activity for 7 posts. With the use of his quirk, Fuuga can augment his stamina to last up to 9-11 posts. 9 Posts for a Safe dose and 11 posts for an Overdose.
WEAKNESSES/LIMITATIONS:
While Fuuga can activate his quirk at different strengths in the form of a Safe dose versus an Overdose, Safe doses do not cause negative effects until after the duration of their effectiveness (9 posts). For Safe Doses, the aftermath of negative effects are headaches, sleepiness, dizziness and exhaustion. Activating another Safe dose within the 9 post timeframe will result in an Overdose that does have immediate negative effects.
An Overdose causes negative effects almost as soon as it’s activated (11 posts). Confusion, tachycardia, fever, vomiting and hyperventilation are some of the negative effects that make it progressively harder to function even while the augmentation of the quirk is active. The aftermath effects are even more severe and can include withdrawal, unconsciousness, tremors and excruciating pain. If a fight is not won before the quirk effects wear off, Fuuga is effectively incapacitated and vulnerable to his opponent.
Due to the pain numbing nature of some of the bodily chemicals he uses, Fuuga can become grievously injured and not notice it until the positive effects wear off. He needs to be hyper aware of how hard he is pushing his body to prevent himself from becoming too injured to function, in either the Safe or Overdosed state.

MMA (Mixed Martial Arts)
RANK/LEVEL: C+
SUMMARY:
Mixed Martial Arts- Focusing mostly on kickboxing, Fuuga has spent most of his life training in ways that allow him to use his body, rather than his quirk, as a weapon. He is at peak physical fitness, has been exposed to many different forms of fighting to the point that he’s created an amalgam style of what he is best at. His form is highly specialized and dangerous, aimed at take downs and pinpoint accuracy rather than overpowering his opponent.
