Jun Tomoshibi [student]

He's ambidextrous, having no dominant hand. Also, his eye color changes shades based on his mood, with bright eyes being super happy, but near black meaning he'll likely kill you over nothing. His eye color occasionally changes to blue, signifying how stressed he is. He does have a single scar, that stretches from just below his armpit, jaggedly down to just below his hip. Another arm of the scar reaches around to his back, up to his shoulder blade. About an inch all the way around it are lighter, much less visible scars. The scar is on his left side. 

Other than that, he's small and scrawny looking. He's of average physical strength for his size, however, and is fairly agile and fast for a kid his age and size, making him difficult to hit. But he is a bit on the fragile side.

He's a bit lazy, often shirking off responsibilities or procrastinating where he can. He has two main objectives in life: Either being a hero, or failing that, a 3D modeler. If it doesn't involve any of those, or his family, he's probably gonna brush it off and laze around like a housecat and go at his own pace. That said, he's studious enough to get low As and high Bs in every subject, even taking time to occasionally get done with homework early if it means he can work on hero studies or focus on practical exams. He's generally pretty nice to everyone, but needs to be approached. It's not often he approaches someone, so if someone makes him do that, they're certainly special to him.

He does detests bullies, one of the few things that makes him go out of his way and do something. Even if he complains about it. Particularly homophobes. Normally, he doesn't have a temper, but when he does get to that point, expect short, curt answers and snipey comments and hope his eyes don't go too dark. While talking to him is easy, and is easily approached, actually getting to know him can be a pain. Though with persistence, he'll open up to you. He is cunning, thinking on his feet in a combat situation. It may not always be the best plan, but it often gets the job done. While he does have some tact, he doesn't always filter what he wants to say. He'll also never really gossip.

He's very sensitive when it comes to family matters, including his brother. To the point where he is defensive about it. While nice to most people, he is tense, short even, with pure electricity based quirk users. He even has some sass when it comes to certain kinds of people. He hates overly flirtatious people, and horror movies most of all. While the real world can be just as scary or more so than a movie, it still gets him. He also enjoys cuddling, or being cuddled. A hopeless romantic at heart, he does prefer pretty boys, or cute boys. Pretty much those similar to him, though isn't afraid to give a guy a chance at his heart. 

Jun and his twin brother, Riku, were born in San Francisco, California. While his family still has citizenship in the USA, they moved to Japan when the boys were still babies. While they lived never wanting, they were taught discipline and how to defend themselves without using their quirks, both of which were rare dual types. Aside from obvious differences in personality, and a dare to pick locks, things went smoothly, and both lived happily.

When they were twelve, a villain with a pure electricity based quirk attacked their home, giving Jun a permanent scar and paralyzing a part of his body for eight months, and putting Riku in a coma. Riku always wanted to be a hero, while Jun didn't actually care, until then. After he recovered and did some soul-searching, he decided he'll be the hero that his brother couldn't be, essentially giving in to what Riku always told him: You would be a great hero. While they likely would never be a team, Jun expressed his wishes, and his backup plan, to his parents. Both of which were fully behind him.

Jun trained between classes and relaxing, preparing to aim for UA for a year, eventually applying, and successfully enlisted as a Hero Student.

SUMMARY:
He can manipulate fire and electricity freely. Currently, he can do basic fireballs the size of a softball that hits hard enough to put a baseball sized dent in a car and has a range of fifty yards, a real basic fire wave that's five by two feet that's more of a heat blast, and a stream of flames that can actually help him hover fifteen feet in the air (using two streams of flames) and push opponents back. He does have a special technique however.

Nova: A concentrated sun of flames that is orange instead of his normally bright yellow flames. While lacking the physical punch of his standard fireballs, it is much hotter, able to melt through a two foot thick wall of reinforced concrete, and retains this strength up to 30 feet, which then dissipates. Two post cooldown.

With electricity, he can circulate electricity around himself, giving anyone who touches  him a  nasty jolt. Touching anything that conducts electricity extends this reach. He can also fire an electric stream that gives a slightly stronger jolt, and a basic lightning arc that is more focused and can bounce once from a conductible object to something biologic. He also has a single special technique with this half.

Zap: A concentrated ball of electricity that actually possesses some the same punch as his standard fireball, but causes a large amount of surface electrical burns, the bulk of them concentrated where it hit and in an area the size of a softball and a range of 25 yards, which then it will dissipate. This also has a two post cooldown.

He can also combine the two elements for a stronger attack. Currently, he can manipulate them into two forms, a wave, and a concentrated shot.

Plasma Wave: While not plasma, it is a eight by sixteen feet wave of electrified flames that has a limited range of ten feet. It has enough push back power to put the average male on the ground thirty feet away. And that's not counting burns and electrical burns.

Tazer Beam: A concentrated beam of fire and electricity that isn't used lightly. If it goes through flesh, it cauterizes the wound made, and causes intense amounts of pain through burns. It can and will go through smaller vehicles and four feet of reinforced concrete. It'll go until 30 yards before it loses all it's strength and just feels like someone put a space heater next to you and zapped you with static electricity. This has a three post cooldown.

He can redirect his fire balls to hit a moving target, up to a 12 yard change maximum, but the target would have to be near his max range (this gets narrower the closer they are to him). This has a minimum range of 20 feet, and any closer doesn't give him enough time to adjust it even an inch. The fire balls will still go their maximum range of fifty yards before petering out. This is also a focused effort, so he can't just randomly fire a fire ball and make it curve. This is literally just one at a time, and not in quick succession or barrage, deal.

He can also do a fire ball shotgun, able to fire ten golf ball sized fire balls at once. While smaller, and don't pack as much punch individually, as a whole, they're equivalent to two standard fire balls with the same cost as two. They also have a much smaller range of only 15 feet.

His electrical half deals out a little bit more damage, causing extremely light surface burns on the contract spot, both when circulating electricity around himself and giving the target a hug, and his lightning stream.

WEAKNESSES/LIMITATIONS:
Basic, fine tune manipulations is outside of his grasp, such as a simple torch or just a small demonstration of his powers.

Overuse of his fire half dehydrates him, making him risk heatstroke and overheating symptoms, including migraines, dizziness, etc. Overuse of his electricity half often puts his mobility at risk, making his movements slower, even risking temporary paralysis to his limbs. If he pulls out all the stops and just constantly spams his flames with everything that he is, he'll start getting dehydrated and suffering in 10 posts (constantly shooting fire balls, flamethrowers, etc.). The same is true with his lightning half. Using his techniques does speed this up slightly, 2 uses tend to tick that down by one post, assuming he doesn't pace himself.

Of note, he isn't as heat or electric resistant as the pure versions of his quirk would allow their user to be, though he is still somewhat resistant to heat and electricity. Also of note is that to he has to put in more power than normal into each half for it to match the same power as a pure version of his quirk. Assuming same tiers, the pure version's base fireball is stronger than Jun's unless he charges it more, bringing him closer to his limits.

Like all elements, they have their natural weaknesses against water and earth.

His durability, ability to take hits, is not very good.

SUMMARY:
He can pick handcuffs very quickly, and can pick most common door locks and padlocks. If it uses a common key blank, he can pick it. Uncommon key blanks takes quite a bit longer, and high security is impossible at this point. This was started by a dare, and Jun kept going at it and practicing.

While rusty, he is still pretty good in close range combat. While not having a particular style, he does utilize common military and police techniques. And has practiced with both parents and his brother often.

While growing up, Jun and Riku were both taught how to speak English as well as Japanese, and fairly decent, about as good as most children a year or two younger than he is that are natives to the language.
