PERSONALITY
LIKES CactusesSmiling Fruit Card Games | DISLIKES Immoral JerksCrunchy Foods Elemental Quirks Villains |
RUMOR/SECRET: | Emi absolutely hates villains, sometimes it can turn into a real bloody fight. |
Emi is a huge optimist, always looking at the brighter side of everything and finding hope in hopeless situations. While walking down the halls, you can expect for her to have a smile on her face and a spring in her step, expecting the best to happen. She is also very extroverted, sometimes a bit too social when around others, sometimes asking questions that are a little too personal. Some might call her annoying or weird for this, but the truth is that she is just curious and wants to befriend most people that cross her path. Unless your a villain, of course, in which Emi is very serious towards. In her opinion, they suck all the fun and joy out of life and are not needed in the world, which is why she enrolled to U.A. in the first place- to become a hero so that she could provide happiness and comfort for others while getting rid of the bad. Like, exterminate it.
Despite Emi's kind outside and inside, she has a darker core. She resents villains so much that she would love to have them suffer, be in so much pain as her adopted father was in so much pain, get enjoyment in watching them bleed. She knows that she would never become a hero doing this, though, so she just thinks about doing it and dreams about it.
Overall, Emi is a kind, caring person that just wants the best for everyone. Most everyone, that is.

Emi's story does not start as a normal one. She was found crying in an alleyway by a male tourist from America, and was immediately adopted as the tourist's own and brought to live in America. The tourist's name was Ray, and he raised Emi in Sacramento, California. As Emi grew up, Ray told her about his time in Musutafu over and over again, talking about its beauty and magnificence. And with each reiteration of the story, Emi wished to go there more badly than before.
Emi began school at five and turned out to be a lot smarter than her other peers. She was offered to skip kindergarten, but she turned it down. Throughout elementary school, she was ahead of all of her classmates, and her longing to see Musutafu grew. Unfortunately, Ray couldn't afford to go with both of them until he surprised her when she was about to start sixth grade.
"We're moving," he shouted in glee, "to Musutafu!" Both of them danced together for a solid hour before packing up and leaving. It took them about a week to get everything together, and then they flew over to Musutafu to start their long term experience.
Unfortunately, Ray hadn't told Emi about the bad aspects of Musutafu. Specifically, how bad villains could really be.
As soon as they unpacked and settled down in their new apartment, Emi and Ray decided to go on a walk. It was nice and peaceful at first, with the chirping of birds, socializing between people, and the beautiful view. Suddenly there was a huge explosion right next to the skyscraper they were in. It was higher up in the building, so they weren't hurt, but it was very startling and ear-shattering. Emi looked up to see a villain and a hero having a huge fight up there. People were screaming and running away from them, so much noise was flooding into her brain. He turned around to see Ray also covering his ears and staring at her worried. She looked up again and her eyes bulged out of her sockets. A gigantic piece of the building was falling super fast, and she didn't even have the time to tell Ray to move. It fell directly on top of him, and blood splattered all over Emi's clothes. His arm flew off and landed right by her feet, rolling over to reveal a coupon to an ice cream shop. Ignoring the chaos all around her, she slowly picked up the coupon. ¥500 off on two or more single scoop ice cream cones. Coming back to reality, she wept as she ran away from the disastrous events around her. Ray was lost forever.
From then on, she lived at an orphanage and continued through middle school. Through her time of mourning. she didn't study as much or do a lot of her homework, so her smartness dropped down to the average student. She got over him in a few months, but there are still times where she misses him.
The sadness didn't just go away, though. It turned into resentment and hatred towards villains. She wanted to see them suffer as Ray had suffered. It was their fault that Ray was killed. And with this new fueled anger she learned mixed martial arts. It took her all of eighth grade to get good at it, but she did.
During the summer, she did some reflecting. She was angry and confused, her mind driven by revenge instead of other motivations. She decided that instead of being a murderous pillar of rage, she would still be a light in the darkness for others and for herself. This also helped with her outward personality, generally being nicer to people and talkative instead of keeping to herself. But deep down, she still hated villains.
After the summer ended, school time was rolling around again. There were so many high schools to go to, but she decided to go local and go to U.A. High School. After passing the entry test with flying colors, she set out on her journey to become a great hero that would be there for others. Say hello, she won't bite!

THE ARMORY
{SPOILER: Click to show}
This is Emi's hero suit, minus the glasses. There isn't a lot of protection since her quirk doesn't involve anything physical, but the gloves she wears are made of tough fibers that can stand a punch.

QUIRK & SKILLS
Astral Suggestion
TYPE: Emitter
RANK/LEVEL: D+
SUMMARY:
! MUST ASK PERMISSION FROM OTHER PLAYERS BEFORE USING ON THEIR CHARACTERS !
Emi has the ability to plant suggestions and ideas into other people's heads through astral projection of her spirit. This allows Emi to exit her physical body and whisper thoughts into other's minds, transforming her words into mental messages that the victim claim as their own. This can affect the victim in persuasive ways, as in carrying out the idea or spreading the word about "their" thought.
When Emi projects her spirit into her astral form, she must be doing something with little to no thought like mindlessly working, cleaning, sleeping, or anything in the category. In her astral form, she can pass through solid matter and float off the ground like a ghost.
WEAKNESSES/LIMITATIONS:
In her astral form, her physical body becomes a lot more fragile and delicate, not being able to defend itself if put at harm's sake. Emi cannot feel the presence of people near her physical body in her astral form, but she can feel the pain if she gets hurt.
If Emi is disturbed by something while projecting her astral form, instead of her spirit teleporting back into her body or just ignoring the disturbance, her body will fall down unconscious to the floor and will wake back up when her spirit comes back to her body.
Emi cannot project her spirit for no longer than seven posts. Once the limit is reached, then no matter how far away she is from her body, Emi's spirit will be flung back into her body and she will snap back awake in her physical form. She may use her quirk as many times as possible as long as it doesn't reach the seven post cap.
Emi cannot project her spirit for more than 75 yards (225 feet). If Emi tries to byass this limit, she will feel a very strong strain / force pushing her back. Fighting against this strain is painful, but if doing so in the proper way, the distance can be extended.
When speaking to another person in her astral form, Emi can only plant an idea or suggestion in the victim's head. Anything else from a simple statement to a question could scramble up or confuse the victim's mind.
