"Sure I could help, gladly." so far there was exactly zero people who were using his gear at this school and he had to start somewhere. And this was as good a start as any. And making goggles might even help him design the new goggles he just decided he needed to create. He looked at the provided diagram. It seemed interesting - fairly fragile looking, but imbuing it would make it durable enough for a hero's work. The lenses would normally be the main problem but he also had the perfect solution for that. "Yeah, I can do that no problem. I think the best thing I could do is go full in and attune the lenses to your quirk, not only protecting your eyes from bright light but I bet it could actually improve your night vision. And when it comes to durability..." he took off his goggles revealing his empty eyes shining with bright flames. He put the goggles on the workbench and hit it with a hammer. There wasn't a scratch on them. "This is a simple imbuing... and it can take few hits like this. It won't be indestructible, but it shouldn't break even in the heat of battle," he said and put the goggles back on. "Though to be fair I have to warn you - the attunement is a process that takes me most of a day and during the process, I would require your presence for about an hour. It doesn't hurt or anything just need you there to attune it to you," he explained "And yeah, not having to sleep can be handy, but I am unable to sleep. So I have to find something to occupy the nights," he explained. It could be a bit lonely sometimes. "So if you want me to do it I will be happy to."

Designing any equipment for himself was a tricky proposition, since adjustments had to be made to accommodate his unusual body type. Although U.A. had done exceptionally well in designing his gym uniform, so perhaps he could give them a little more rein in designing his requests… but still, he had some future ideas in mind for these goggles, so these would probably not be the final version. Still, if it made them more effective in the mean time…
“I would be interested in seeing the effects of that imbuement process, in fact. If I can keep the goggles from impairing my vision at all during regular use that would be a net benefit. That’s part of why I designed them this way. I tried to minimize the material so I could keep my full field of view. If we can actually enhance my night vision in the process, that may be worth the effort.”
He watched curiously as the other student performed his little demonstration, darting in close to take a look after the hammer strike before he put them back on. “Incredible. Taking a few strong hits should be more than enough. If I’m taking multiple hits to the face then I have more serious issues to worry about than the goggles.”
He listened to the requirements for his time and nodded, “After classes my schedule is usually fairly free. Just tell me when and I’ll make the time. It doesn’t matter if it’s the middle of the night, let me know and I can arrange my schedule around it.”
Somehow.
“Let’s give this a try, then. Is there anything else I should know about the process?”

"Well, I can generally use less material because my quirk will make the end product more durable. But it works best with metals. I think I should be able to tinker with it a little and make something that will be to your liking. I will present you the final product before the attunement process and if there is something you don't like I can rework it." he explained. The attunement was the most difficult part, anything before that could be fixed. "How to explain the attunement... hmmm... ok. This isn't exactly accurate but it might help you understand. While the attunement process is ongoing I basically prepare the goggles for your input. Once you come into the equation I kind of become a bridge between you and the goggles. The desired abilities responding to your quirk will get inscribed on the goggles as you concentrate on it. The enhanced durability is a pleasant side effect." this was the best way he could describe it. There was a lot more going on but that was his job and it wasn't relevant to this conversation. He smirked a little once he saw the reaction to his small demonstration. "Let's hope that occasional falls on the ground will be the worse thing these future goggles will have to face," Isamu said it the best - if the goggles had to tank hits powerful enough to break them he would have much greater problems. "I usually attune things on the weekend. Since it takes a better part of the day I can't really make it when I have lessons. The only other option is starting right after classes and finish it right before classes but I feel like a vegetable for few hours after I a done so I am no a big fan of this option..."

Isamu kept flipping through the schematics, before landing on one that looked like the device he had laid out on his workbench. “I look forward to trying the new goggles out, then. And I’d be interested to see what you come up with for your own goggles, if you don’t mind sharing. I’m toying with some ideas for possible enhancements for mine in the future, but there’s other things I need to work on first. Do you know how long it will likely take?”
He picked up his laptop and carried it back to his workstation, setting it to the side as he started in on his pet project again, examining it through the magnifying lens as he referenced his diagram. He was still paying attention and carrying on conversation, but was also trying to get the thing done that he needed to do. “I think I understand the basic idea, in those terms… rather like enchanting a magic item in a game, almost. No offense intended, of course. And there’s no need to push yourself. The weekend will be fine, it’s not critical. It’s not like some villains are going to attack U.A. in the next couple of days or something.”
He quickly disassembles the device, leaving just a circuit board with several components attached. He opened a drawer at his workstation and pulled out a heavy apron, a pair of gloves, and a full-face mask, leaving very little fur exposed. He carried the circuit board over to the fume hood, using his tools to remove, and then reconnect one of the components before carrying it back and reassembling the device. “Okay, that should do it… let’s see if this works.”

"I am always up for some brainstorming. I really have nothing to lose since I am the only one capable of... well of doing what I do. I guess it will be really handy once I start making gear for the pros..." or IF he starts. There was no guarantee that he will make where so many failed. "It won't take long. I usually spent the entire night tinkering once I have an idea. I can easily fit in 10 hours of work before I need to go for a lesson. Once I have my first prototype I will send you a message through the student chat and we can go from there. It will probably take a day or two but if you aren't happy with it I will just whip up something better!" he was quite enthusiastic about it. His first item for another student! "I take no offense in that, don't worry. Enchanting sounds pretty close to what I do." for a moment he was thinking if he shouldn't incorporate the word in his persona but it would probably sound too mystical. With that, he was just watching the other student work. It wasn't like had something better to do. It was impressive seeing him work since... well those paws were looking a bit clumsy at first sight. He was saying nothing while he worked. He was a bit curious if it will finally work. "Fingers crossed," he wished the other student a bit of a good luck

“I’ll apologize in advance for being rather particular with the fit and design of the goggles… I’m trying to ensure that they don’t limit my field of vision at all, which is difficult considering how wide it is,” commented the feline as he kept working on the device. “But I look forward to trying out the prototype.”
Isamu placed the circuit board back into the device and attached some cables to it, before opening a program on his laptop and connecting that into a port inside the device. “Okay, here goes nothing…” He typed a few commands into the computer and then the screen filled with… a giant picture of a wall. Specifically, the wall in front of the feline student and his device. “Video checks out.” A squeal spilled from the laptop speakers before he hastily hit a button. “Okay, sound works too.” He picked up the device and turned it around to point it at Amaru, the image on the laptop’s screen spinning around to match. It was a bit distorted, warped around the edges, which was easier to see once the other student was in view rather than the blank wall. “Wave for the camera.”
He hit another button, and the two wheels on either side of the body spun both forwards and backwards, first in tandem and then separately. “Servos work… okay, here comes the next test.” He disconnected the cable from the laptop and then set the device down, closing the cover and setting the device away from himself. The image on screen blipped for a moment and then restablished itself when the cable was disconnected. “Wireless functionality seems to work… and now…” He tapped the arrow keys, and the little device started to spin, first one way and then the other, the image on screen following along. A few more taps and it started to travel along the length of the workbench, recording video all the while.
“Yes! I knew that would fix it.” Isamu pumps a fist in the air before bringing the little device back to him. “What do you think?”
